GRANDMA WEIR SINGING BABY BENNY TO SLEEP EVERY NIGHT WITH A LATIN LULLABY!!
Then when his parents left Benny to her she started teaching him latin but Benny was too much of a pain to listen to her, now at 14/15 (once he learned he was a spell castor) he has to beg her to teach him so he can do magic but she deliberately doesn’t teach him everything for revenge:) It’s his fault he didn’t listen now he has to suffer and translate his own spells.
[i mean technically grandma weir casting a spell on Benny to make him sleepy is canon in the movie so..]
