saw alot of comments on prev pages; saying 'i HATE that mean teacher! im gonna FIGHT HIM!!' & i LOVE the energy!! it WOULD be nice. to have that catharsis. but the story of young tidestrider is Not one of catharsis. it is a story of being so small and so special and sucking so bad.

early next week, I'm going to be opening up commissions! I'll be posting samples in a few days, and the general price tag will be around $85-150, with more creative illustration work starting around $200, and probably an informal option for sketches as well! 3 fishermen keep accidentally stumbling into the consequences of the Riptide Pirates and they're just so. Confused.

They fish for their small town located on a very tiny island, and live very mundane and normal lives. The bit is they always arrive at places right after the Riptide Pirates leave, so they're only seeing what these infamous strange ass pirates, that get into the weirdest most specific situations, leave in their wake. And it happens so much when they get to a place that's been freshly fundamentally deconstructed (blown to smithereens) they automatically know the Riptide Pirates had something to do with it. It doesn't affect the story whatsoever, they're just three flabbergasted civilians wondering how these faceless so called "Riptide Pirates" can cause so much chaos.

Also!! The top are their real names and the bottom are their nicknames. The exception is Cas because what people believe to be his real name isn't his real name. Their designs are old and inconsistent bc I never planned to post them but I had the idea of storing their story here under a tag !!

Hey! I just wanted to tell you again how absolutely wonderful I found those sketches you did, they really made my day. Soo, to answer your question, yes you making me fall deeper into the dracugoona rabbit hole is a good thing, I love those two with all my heart. I may lament them not being canon sometimes, but just ignore that lol.

Thank ya! I'm real glad ya like my silly sketches (since I haven't been able to draw bigger things, I'm glad the sketches are good too) And you're not alone, even if they're not canon, Witch Hitch did unreparable damage and now I can't NOT ship them

I really should stop looking down on my traditional sketches because I can't emulate this kind of feeling in my digital art.

Drawing geometric shapes is HARD.

I enjoyed the hell out of Andor, but my chiefest complaint has always been that in a show that is otherwise pretty thoughtful the characterization of the title character at times feels both kinda formulaic, and kinda baffling when held up against the character in Rogue One. Diego Luna does a lot with it because he's a fabulous actor who has always been fabulous in this role. And I do see the shape of the character arc they're writing, I even think there are plenty of interesting things there, but...idk I have very particular feelings about adaptations/prequels/sequels, I think they often play too slavish or too fast-and-loose with the source material, I'm especially picky about characterization and in certain respects this one doesn't quite hit the sweet spot for me. At some point I'm going to try to write a more comprehensive post that outlines those critiques while still conveying how much I liked and admired the show overall.

Anyway this is not that post, and this is not by any means my main critique, but I do think it's kind of emblematic that imo film!Cassian would be almost EXACTLY the same character if he were genderswapped and show!Cassian is extremely Hollywood Male Protagonist.

Vaporeon is still my favourite pokémon, by a long way.
