let me lay down beside you
Tumblr media
“Mmm, darlin’, you feel so good…”
Shit.
You’d thought the one silver lining of living through a zombie apocalypse might be that you’d never have to have another awkward, it’s-totally-me-it’s-not-you conversation with a man about why there was basically no chance he could make you come, including the I-really-don’t-want-you-to-get-carpal-tunnel-or-strain-your-TMJ-trying for those guys savvy enough not to have tried the You-just-haven’t-had-my-magic-dick argument.
All the crunchy, New Age guys who were going to whip up an Ayurvedic smoothie with exact the right combo of herbs and ripe mango and enough turmeric to dye the sea gold had gone out in the first wave. Nearly all the herbs and certainly the mango and turmeric weren’t available in the continental US.
You were supposed to get something from the universe in exchange for surviving into this new world, a compensation that would make you not regret the choice to dump out all the Ambien your roommate had just gotten filled before she never came home instead of downing it in a nice cup of cocoa and then giving yourself a soft, slow dreaming death.
No such luck.
“Joel, hang on,” you said, gritting the words out as he did something rather lovely to the side of your neck, one big hand cradling the back of your head. You drew in a breath, prepared to have to repeat yourself, because even if you weren’t getting there, he certainly seemed well on his way.
He stopped and pulled back. His hair, greying and not just at the temples, was mussed and there was a little bit of hazy desire left in his dark eyes, but he’d made it by paying very close attention and that included you.
“Too fast? I can slow down, slow as you like, darlin’,” he said.
“That’s not it,” you said, hating this part. Hating all of it, what was happening and what would happen, leading up to when he walked out the door. Joel was a nice man. He probably would take any cheap shots or do much beyond shrugging those broad shoulders of his. “It’s not too fast—”
“Too slow? Or is that somethin’ you don’t like?”
His lips on your throat, the roughness of his beard against the delicate skin over your carotid, yeah, you liked it. If only liking that and his hands on you was enough…
You were quiet, thinking about how you were going to tell him. Maybe there was a way where you really could stay friends. Where there’d still be nights he took out his guitar and sang Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline and you sang along, the firelight around you both, gold and shadow.
“Someone hurt you?” he asked, being careful. You both knew what he meant and understood how he was letting you be the one to decide how to say it. You both remembered what it was like early on and no one in Jackson was ever required to tell what had happened before they got there. You chose what you brought with you into the community, what parts of your past you’d leave behind.
“No, nothing like that,” you said. You could see the relief in his eyes, the way his mouth turned gentle.
“You wanna boss me around? I don’t have a problem taking instruction,” he said.
“Wouldn’t make any difference,” you remarked before you could think twice about it. He narrowed his eyes and you almost reached out to touch his jaw or his wrist, your right hand fluttering before you made a fist.
“No?”
“You can’t make me come,” you blurted out. “I don’t want you to waste your time—”
“Seems to me I decide what my time’s worth,” he said.
“I meant, you don’t have to do a whole song and dance,” you said.
“Wasn’t plannin’ on it,” he said. “Not a huge fan of musicals.”
“You know what I mean,” you said.
“Frankly, darlin’, I don’t think I do. Why don’t you tell me what’s going on? I’m not going anywhere unless you kick me out,” he said.
“You’ll go,” you said. Lying was essential to living After, but not lying to yourself. That was a death sentence.
“When you tell me to. Not before,” he said, settling back against the couch.
“I can’t—I don’t come, fucking,” you said.
“That part I got,” he said. In some miracle, he didn’t start the usual litany, asking questions about position or skill, beginning every iteration What about…“How d’you do, y’know, flying solo?”
“Once in a blue moon,” you said. Though probably less often than that. You shrugged. “It’s whatever.”
“Before, probably could’ve tried a vibrator. One of those rabbits maybe. Still find them scavenging, but the batteries are all dead and kind of hard to ask Maria for some juice to get off,” Joel said, so practically and so without the least iota of irritation you were startled into a laugh. He took your hand in his, held it lightly.
“I don’t want to go but I don’t want you to feel bad,” he said. “Want you to feel good, that’s the whole goal.”
“You say that, but everyone wants to come. They want to get the other person off. I don’t want to fake it, to make you happy,” you said.
“I’ve had over forty years to fuck, darlin’,” he said. “I want to be close to you, that’s all. However you want it, long as it’s real. You want me to try shit that didn’t work before, I’ll try it. You have some idea you want to give a whirl, fine by me. I’ll go down on you or use my hands or pretend I’m fucking Captain Kangaroo and you’re Lady Aberlin if that’s something you’re interested in. And if you want to lie in bed or on the couch in sweats and that’s all, that all I want,” he said.
“Lady Aberlin was on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” you said. This was not a conversation you could have imagined happening in any universe, with or without zombies, but Joel didn’t seem to mind.
“Okay,” he said.
“You’ll get frustrated,” you said. You thought it would come out like a warning, but it sounded like you were floating an idea, waiting for him to tell you that you were wrong.
“There some rule I can’t jack off on my own? Or in your general vicinity?” he asked.
“No, it’s not like that,” you said. You couldn’t recall a man ever asking that or proposing anything similar. It was erotic, that was undeniable, that desire coupled with a total lack of demand—he hadn’t said anything about coming on your breasts or your belly and he would have, if that’s what he imagined. Parallel play, the old child development phrase from that college psych class you’d taken sophomore year, a thousand years ago when no one, even you, had ever thought to call you frigid bitch, the guys at college too self-absorbed to notice whether or not you climaxed.
“Doesn’t gross you out?”
“No. It’s hot. It’s not that I’m not interested in sex, making you come. Just hard for me to get all the way,” you said.
“That’s not all the way, you coming, screamin’ my name, headboard thumpin’ on the wall, wakin’ up the neighbors,” he said, bringing your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles open-mouthed. “All the way’s feelin’ safe, feelin’ like you can ask for whatever you want, say no to whatever you want. Being there in the morning, your head on my chest, hand on my heart.”
“You’re not going to try and convince me you’ve got some special move that’s going to blow my mind?” you said.
“If I had one, probably throw my back out tryin’ it now,” he chuckled. “I like the way you taste. I like the way you sing under your breath when I play ‘Annie’s Song.’ I like the way you argue and how your ass feels against my cock when you’re the little spoon and and how it looks when you drag me out dance over at Tina’s. If we figure something out one of these days, yeah, that’ll be fine. And if this is what we have, it’s plenty for me. I wanna give you anything you want, that’s all.”
“Anything I want?” you said.
“Everything, darlin’,” he answered. “What d’you want right now?”
“I liked what you were doing before,” you said.
“What we were doing,” he corrected, but without any scolding. It was an invitation, one you had no intention of refusing.
“Let’s do that,” you said. “But with less clothes.”
“Yeah?” he said.
“Yeah,” you answered. “Maybe I do want to boss you around. Take your shirt off.”
“Yes’m,” he said and the shiver that went through you was that hint of ma’am and the revelation of his bare chest and the gleam in his dark eyes.
Maybe it was a blue moon.
And if it wasn’t, he’d still be here, holding you in his arms.
@goodwithcheese I took you up on your suggestion to write something for one of your anons who was hoping for a fic with an anorgasmic f!reader and a soft Pedro character...

Thirteen as Drinks But I Actually Make the Drinks
I love alcohol. I do (very) amateur home bartending. I really like the Picrews but also I can't do one without trying to actually make a cocktail mix in my head. I don't have pictures (that are presentable) but I can tell you what I'd do to make drinks themed after our boys from Nagasaki. I tried to make them all very summery since Nagasaki is a coastal city that is hot and humid most of the year.
Haruto
Alright, I just had this at a sushi bar I went to and it's exactly his style and I feel like it reflects his character well. Floral, slightly tart but balanced with sweetness, and VERY high alcohol content. Do not let the light taste fool you: this is pure Potion of Knock You The Fuck Out. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the drink menu so I don't know what brands they use but I would bet you this is one of those "you need to have the exact liquor listed or it doesn't work right" deals. Also I don't know the measurements (I tried to sneak a look over the bar but no dice, also they didn't use a bartending jigger and the bartender was eyeballing it which I'm bad at) so I'm approximating it based on taste. Here goes:
2 oz vodka (guesstimating any cocktail with vodka is a nightmare because it tastes like nothing when it's cold :| I might be a half-ounce off, if I were to guess I'd say shuffle the half-ounce into the plum wine if I am.) 1 oz plum wine 1 1/2 oz sake (????floral tasting??? sorry, can't help you there) 1/2 oz St. Germains
Mix as a martini. Must be served chilled, preferably to the point there's a bit of frost floating about in the mix. Freeze your ingredients, kids, most alcoholic drinks have a lower freezing point than water so you're usually safe to do it at least for a while. Just keep an eye on it. Add in a pickled plum to leach in more plum-y flavor, assuming you can find one...but if you're going so far as to find plum wine, you might as well. Serve with a tiny little flower as garnish if you're feeling whimsical and have them floating around for some reason, but make sure it's an edible one. Violets and roses are always safe bets.
Damien
This is something I've been experimenting with that's a (very) minor riff on the Dark and Stormy. The end result is a slightly spicy but generally cool and beach-y drink. Perfect for the man who drifted in on the shores of Nagasaki prefecture! A good balance between mellow and intense, a true drink of mystery that keeps you guessing.
2 1/2 oz Q's ginger beer (MUST BE Q'S. YES, THIS IS IMPORTANT. IT'S THE ONLY ONE WITH THE RIGHT LEVEL OF HEAT AND USING ORANGE EXTRACT. I guess you can use Reed's Extra Strong in a pinch but Reed's just doubles up on the ginger and doesn't use chili going by my personal taste test.) 1 1/2 oz rum (preferably dark rum, spiced can work but spiced rums can overtake the ginger beer) 2 wedges of orange
Squeeze one wedge into the shaker. Shake with ice to mix, add into a chilled glass full to the brim with ice. Garnish with the remaining orange wedge.
Shirou
We have to have something that properly reflects Southern charm, of course. There's nothing more Southern than a mint julep, but it's not quite got that darker, more robust flavor I think of when I think of him. So, let's make a few substitutes and additions. I'd say you can probably undercut with the honey syrup, the traditional mint julep uses either simple or muddles in sugar cubes. Honey is richer and often sweeter than regular simple and can be overwhelming. The good news is, because it's so rich you can use shitty bourbon! And by shitty bourbon I mean Kentucky Gentleman, I've never forgiven the person who first gave me that shit.
4 oz bourbon (yes, that much, do not plan on going anywhere) 1/2 oz honey syrup Sprigs of mint (at least five) Approximately one palmful of blackberries (go seedless unless you are feeling VERY adventurous and aren't worried about choking to death)
Drop the mint and blackberries into the bottom of a tall, chilled glass (you're supposed to use a tin one but w/e it barely makes a difference, you can use a solo cup for all I care) and muddle them with the flat of a spoon. Cool little showy and practical bartending trick I learned: hit any plants you're using for essential oil purposes (e.g. orange/lemon peel, mint, lavender...) before mixing with the flat of your palm to release even more essential oils and make that taste extra strong. Add ice to the top. Drop in the bourbon and honey syrup. Stir lots until the colors mix together. Add in one remaining sprig of mint to garnish. The end result is slightly more tart than your average mint julep, but still pleasant and refreshing!

How to use essential oils to increase activity, vigor and energy?
Tumblr media
In the off-season, in winter with a short light day, people are overtaken by melancholy. How to pass this period as easily and cheerfully as possible.
Where does cheerfulness disappear?
Does it happen that you experience a lack of motivation? If you realize that you don't want to do something, maybe you really don't need it. It is worth rearranging the plans, deleting the unpleasant business from the schedule.
To do this, you can even inhale cooling aromatic oils: peppermint, rosemary, lemon eucalyptus. Do the same with a difficult situation: just go into it, start doing it. Solving new problems is our growth zone and the growth of new neural connections.
If all of the above is not about you, you need to understand: why is there no energy and motivation? Because you didn't sleep well, you ate unbalanced, you have health problems, and your body just can't stand the load?
The effect of essential oils on increasing the tonus
Tumblr media
If the twilight outside the window and the cold air make you sad in the morning. A warm way of awakening will suit you: a hot shower, tonic, warm, spicy essential oils. Mixtures of lemon and ginger, cloves and orange in an aroma lamp will wake you up, give you a boost of energy.
If you are a fan of "cold awakening", then a contrast shower, a jog around the house + cooling oils: peppermint, rosemary, lemon eucalyptus will help to cheer up and tune in to a productive day. All these oils tone up the nervous system.
Citrus oils
Citrus fruits are truly considered the most positive, life-affirming oils. They give joy, energy, help to cheer up. Without exception, everything can be used for a good mood, a charge of cheerfulness for the whole day, especially in combination with spices (cinnamon bark, nutmeg, cloves, thyme, oregano).
The smell of red orange gives peace of mind, envelops with warmth. Sweet orange is good for the first acquaintance with the world of flavors, for children. If you are a fan of mojito, invigorating freshness, then lime is what you need. For lovers of traditional flavors, tangerine and lemon will be great helpers. In addition, lemon is also a powerful remedy for colds. It is important to strengthen health during the season of colds and respiratory diseases. When you are unwell, what kind of cheerfulness can you talk about.
Tangerine green is recommended to be used to lift the spirit and mood. Inhale deep sweet and sour notes against the background of a rich citrus aroma and feel a wave of joy rolling through your body. Bittersweet bright grapefruit - for energy, creative action, achieving results. Whatever citrus oil you choose, it will help the body cope with the autumn blues, loss of strength and motivation, fatigue. It is always better to focus on personal sense of smell and sensations. Individual differing reactions are possible.
Tumblr media
Sweet essential oils
Litzea will be loved by sweet tooth, beginners in aromatherapy. The aroma of fresh lollipops, childlike spontaneity will cheer up the body and soul. Aromatic oils eliminate depression, fatigue, regulate overexcitation, reduce fatigue.
Increases concentration of attention, the ability to assimilate information. It works on an emotional, psychoemotional level. Litzea essential oil stimulates the nervous system, so it is especially useful for students after a sleepless night. In addition, the use of this oil in an aroma lamp helps to improve vision, remove the negative effects of the computer and increase immunity.
Like ginger, it is wonderfully combined with citrus fruits, which dilute the sweetness of litzea. Such a mixture in an aroma bottle, an individual inhaler or an aroma lamp will be an excellent assistant for cheerfulness, a positive charge!
Lemongrass, or lemon grass, simultaneously smells of spices, sweets, citrus. Its fragrance is like a jet of refreshing invigorating shower or a gust of cool morning air. The use of this ether turns a sad person into a cheerful, cheerful, full of strength, desire to act.
Spicy essential oils
Stimulating spice oils: black pepper, ginger, cardamom, basil, rosemary. Let's take a closer look at the impact of each of them on health, memory, and attention.
The use of black pepper has been known for a long time. Black pepper essential oil tones the nervous system, peristalsis, motor skills, "charges" for action.
Ginger aroma oil with a spicy smell of fresh ginger will awaken joy to life, will charge with new emotions. In other words: for cheerfulness and tone, we inhale ginger, and do not drink coffee. Ginger oil is perfectly combined with citrus fruits: orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime. The combined effect of spicy spices and juicy citrus fruits provides positive, joy, mood.
Basil oil relieves panic attacks, anxiety, depression. Rosemary oil, one of the best oils for increasing brain activity, improving memory, concentration. Mixed with citrus fruits, the effect is enhanced. If there is no rosemary at hand, eucalyptus oil will be a good alternative. Rosemary and basil essential oils improve brain activity, thereby increasing labor productivity. Rosemary promotes concentration and memorization of information.
Tumblr media
Cardamom has a spicy, sweet aroma with citrus notes. Tones, invigorates, relieves fatigue, irritation, awakens consciousness, improves brain function. Helps with depression. A good autumn recipe with cardamom spice: brew black tea, add milk, then toss a few cardamom seeds, let stand for 5-7 minutes. Such a drink charges, tones up better than coffee.
How to use essential oils for vivacity?
All methods are simple and well-known.
Aroma diffuser, aroma lamp - put it right after waking up. A couple of drops for every 5 squares of the room. Aromaculon - 1-2 drops, hang on your neck and breathe while you cook breakfast (10-20 minutes).
Personal inhaler – when help is needed immediately, in transport or elsewhere. Prepare in advance: 10-20 drops on a cotton rod. Take a few breaths if necessary.
If there is not enough cheerfulness, adjust the work and rest mode. Use assistants - essential oils. Their list is impressive, and everyone will be able to choose a pleasant and working fragrance.
We hope that in the autumn and winter days, and just when you are tired, you will certainly replenish the aroma first aid kit with new invigorating, toning, energizing aromas. I wish you an energetic and healthy life!

Unveiling the Irresistible Blend and Brewing Techniques
Welcome, tea enthusiasts, to the world of sticky chai! If you're a fan of warm, comforting beverages with a touch of sweetness and a burst of aromatic spices, then you're in for a treat.
Sticky chai has been gaining popularity among tea lovers, and today, we're excited to unveil the secrets of this irresistible blend and share brewing techniques that will have you savouring every sip.
What is Sticky Chai?
Sticky chai is a unique blend of black tea, aromatic spices, sweeteners, and milk. The name "sticky" refers to the addition of sweeteners like honey or sugar, which give this chai its irresistible sweetness. What sets sticky chai apart from traditional chai is the inclusion of additional spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom, which create a complex and flavourful profile.
One of the reasons sticky chai has become such a beloved beverage is its versatility. You can enjoy it hot on a cold winter's day or cold during the summer months as a refreshing iced drink. The combination of spices and sweetness makes it a delightful treat for any time of the year.
Visit this Website - Sticky Chai
Tumblr media
Key Ingredients of Sticky Chai
To create a delicious and authentic sticky chai, you'll need a few key ingredients. Here's a list of what you'll need
Black Tea: Choose a high-quality black tea such as Assam or Darjeeling. The robust flavour of black tea provides a strong base for the spices and sweeteners.
Aromatic Spices: The essential spices for sticky chai include cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom. These spices add warmth, depth, and complexity to the blend.
Sweeteners: Sticky chai is known for its sweetness, which comes from the addition of sweeteners like honey or sugar. Adjust the amount according to your taste preferences.
Milk: Traditionally, sticky chai is made with dairy milk. However, you can use alternative milk options like almond, soy, or oat milk for a vegan or lactose-free version.
Feel free to experiment with variations to suit your dietary preferences or restrictions. You can opt for a caffeine-free blend by using herbal tea instead of black tea, or choose alternative sweeteners like maple syrup or stevia for a healthier twist.
Brewing Techniques for Sticky Chai
Traditional Stovetop Method
Start by boiling water in a saucepan and add the black tea leaves. Let it steep for a few minutes
Once the tea is brewed, add the spices (cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom) and sweeteners (honey or sugar) to the same saucepan. Stir well to combine.
Allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, ensuring that the flavours from the spices infuse into the tea.
Finally, add the milk of your choice and continue simmering for another 5 minutes. Be careful not to let it boil over.
Strain the sticky chai into cups or mugs, and it's ready to be enjoyed!
Tips: For optimal flavour extraction, crush the spices slightly before adding them to the tea. Adjust the spice levels according to your preference by adding more or less of each spice.
Quick Infusion Method
If you're short on time, you can opt for a quick infusion method. Start by brewing a strong cup of black tea.
Once the tea is brewed, add the spices, sweeteners, and milk directly to your cup. Stir well to combine.
Allow the mixture to sit for a few minutes, allowing the flavours to infuse into the tea.
Give it a quick stir before enjoying your quick and delicious cup of sticky chai!
While the quick infusion method is convenient, the flavours may not be as well-developed as the traditional stovetop method. However, it's an excellent option for those who are on the go or prefer a simpler brewing process.
Serving Suggestions
Now that you've brewed a perfect batch of sticky chai, it's time to consider how to serve it. Sticky chai can be enjoyed hot or cold, depending on the season or your mood. For a hot serving, pour the chai into mugs and savour its warmth. If you prefer a refreshing iced drink, simply pour the chai over ice and garnish with a cinnamon stick or a sprinkle of cinnamon powder.
To complement the flavours of sticky chai, consider pairing it with biscuits, pastries, or even savoury snacks like samosas or pakoras. The sweetness and spice of sticky chai create a delightful contrast when enjoyed with a variety of food options.
Customising Your Sticky Chai Experience
One of the joys of sticky chai is the ability to customise it according to your preferences. Here are a few suggestions to enhance your sticky chai experience:
Adjusting Spice Levels:
Experiment with the spice levels to find your perfect balance. If you enjoy a spicier chai, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or black pepper for an extra kick. On the other hand, if you prefer a milder version, reduce the amount of ginger or cardamom.
Exploring Flavour Enhancements:
Don't be afraid to get creative and add your twist to the traditional recipe. Consider incorporating flavour enhancers like a dash of vanilla extract, a sprinkle of nutmeg, or even a small piece of dark chocolate for a decadent treat. Some tea lovers have even added lavender, rose petals, or saffron for an exotic twist.
Health Benefits of Sticky Chai:
Aside from its delicious taste, sticky chai also offers potential health benefits. The spices commonly found in sticky chai, such as cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom, have been associated with various health benefits. For example, cinnamon may help regulate blood sugar levels, while ginger aids digestion, and cardamom may boost immunity.
However, it's important to remember that these health benefits are not guaranteed, and sticky chai should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. If you have any specific health concerns or conditions, it's always best to consult a healthcare professional.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
Sticky chai is a delightful blend of flavours that has captured the hearts of tea enthusiasts worldwide. Its unique combination of black tea, aromatic spices, sweeteners, and milk creates a comforting and irresistible beverage that can be enjoyed in various forms.
By following the brewing techniques outlined in this article, you can create your own delicious sticky chai at home. Don't hesitate to experiment with different spice levels or flavour enhancements to tailor it to your taste preferences.

How To Make Homemade Pumpkin Seed Milk
Tumblr media
Pumpkin, with its soft and sweet texture, is one of the most popular autumn drinks. Eating pumpkin is highly recommended to fight colds. In the preparation of hot pumpkin milk, hazelnut vegetable milk is used, which does not contain lactose. This hot drink is low in calories and very nutritious, which is suitable for lactose intolerant people who cannot consume dairy milk. If you have already prepared homemade pumpkin with milk, it's time to try a new flavored pumpkin by slightly changing the usual recipe and using hazelnut milk.
Ingredients for making hot pumpkin milk
Kalhik hazelnut milk and half a cup
Two eggs
A tablespoon of sugar
A teaspoon of cinnamon
Eight teaspoons of salt
4th teaspoon of vanilla extract
Pumpkin puree, a quarter of a cup
Nutmeg (optional) one-eighth teaspoon
How to make hot pumpkin milk
Step one
To make pumpkin milk, first you need to make pumpkin puree. First, wash the pumpkin and cut it into pieces. With the help of a spoon, completely separate the pumpkin eggs from it and cook it in a pot for 45 minutes with a little water (maximum size of two knuckles). Don't forget that pumpkin will release water while cooking, so don't add more water.
second stage
Scrape the cooked pumpkin from its skin with the help of a spoon and put it in a food processor until it becomes a puree.
third level
Now we go to the basis of the drink, milk. Pour the hazelnut milk into the boiling milk and place it on a medium gas flame. Add the yolk of an egg to the milk and start mixing. Next, add sugar, cinnamon, salt and vanilla to the milk. Stir the ingredients continuously on a medium flame until your sauce has a smooth texture.
The fourth stage
Turn off the flame when the ingredients in the kettle boil and form a foam on the top of the kettle. While the milk is hot, add the pumpkin puree to the boiling milk. Stir the ingredients until your drink is smooth. Your hot pumpkin milk is ready. Pour it into glasses. Before serving, you can grate a very small amount of nutmeg on each pumpkin milk to increase the aroma of the milk. Enjoy your meal!
Photo ovens for making hot pumpkin milk
In addition to nutmeg, you can use fresh ginger to garnish pumpkin milk.
You can also use an electric beater or blender to mix the pumpkin puree with milk.
Hazelnut milk is one of the types of plant milk that is the best alternative to dairy milk for people who are sensitive to milk lactose or people with lactose intolerance.
In addition to ready-made hazelnut milk, you can make homemade hazelnut milk with fresh hazelnuts.
You can use a mixture of two teaspoons of cinnamon, one teaspoon of ginger, one teaspoon of nutmeg, one teaspoon of cloves as spices in this drink. These spices will make the taste of pumpkin more hearty and somehow more delicious.
If you're vegan, you can omit the eggs altogether or use plant-based egg substitutes.

Gochujang (pronounced go-choo-jang) is a traditional Korean condiment that has been used for centuries. It is a thick, sticky paste made from red chili peppers, fermented soybeans, glutinous rice, and salt. The combination of these ingredients gives gochujang its complex and robust flavor profile, with a perfect balance of spiciness, sweetness, and umami.
Flavorful and Versatile:
One of the reasons gochujang has gained immense popularity worldwide is its incredible versatility. The possibilities are endless!
Taste Experience:
When you taste gochujang, you'll encounter a delightful symphony of flavors. The initial kick of spiciness from the chili peppers is balanced by a natural sweetness derived from the fermented soybeans and rice. The fermentation process adds depth and complexity, resulting in a rich umami taste that lingers on your palate. The combination of heat, sweetness, and umami creates a flavor experience that is truly unforgettable.
Where to Find Gochujang:
Gochujang is becoming increasingly accessible, and you can find it in many grocery stores, both online and offline. Can I request for Raymond Smith these please? :)
👩‍🍳🏖🔮
Thanks for your request for my Emoji Fic Fest! 💗
..................................................
Beach Balls
Pairing: Raymond Smith x F!Reader Warnings: smut, swearing, sex on the beach, public-ish (brief reference assuming there’s an audience) Word Count: ~1.3k Emoji Prompt: 👩‍🍳🏖🔮 (key words are in bold)
Tumblr media
He’s giving you his bitch, please face.
You’re giving him your beach, please face, because Ray’s aversion to beaches is honestly such a disgrace. His OCD ass really needs to get over his hatred of salt in his slicked hair and fine grains of sand stuck all over the place.
You’ve stepped out of the kitchen with something hot clutched in your hands as you come to join him on the couch. He’s a grump and a grouch. Yet be that as it may, by the end of the day, your goal is to take him to the shore and you’re certain it’s not out of reach.
He repeats himself loud and clear, same shit you always hear. “I am not going to the beach.”
“I knew you would say no. I baked your favorite tart to tempt you though. It’s ginger peach.”
He can tell, by the comforting smell, blend of butter and sugar and spice absolutely divine. “You’re too kind. But do you really think baked goods will change my mind?”
“Baked goods and something else perhaps…” you purr as you settle in place straddling his lap. You know exactly how to get your man to fall into your trap. “Remember when we went to see that fortuneteller just for kicks, her crystal ball declared that I’m the only weakness in your fortress? That I’d always find the holes in your resolve and get your brick walls to collapse?”
He does remember as it had been pretty recent. Just the other weekend. And indeed once Raymond feels the heat of you that always hits him in his crotch and in his heart, hotter than this freshly baked tart… he worries his resistance is already weakened.
And you can sense it too, the way he melts for you, as you proceed to feed your man a big forkful of flaky crust and sweet syrupy peach. You whisper words into his ear sure to paint pictures in his head that fucking stick. You’ve always known what makes him tick. “I want to fuck you on the beach. Wet sand beneath and blazing sun above, as we make hot passionate love, waves crashing all around us while you pound this cunt with that big fucking dick.”
Of course it works—he groans around the peachy mouthful that you fed him and you flash a wicked smirk, as you pull out the sticky fork. Crumbs of the crust and traces of the fruity filling are still clinging to the tines and your tongue cleans them off with a sensuous lick.
You knew that shit would do the trick. Especially now as you level up your game by dealing his alpha male pride a playful little kick. “But I’m not sure you’ve got the balls to do the dirty out in public.”
Ray gulps down his bite of tart and then glares up at you appalled. He will not stand for such an insult, not at all. “You of all people should know better than to doubt my fucking balls.”
You shrug and roll your eyes, grinding down on the bulge between his thighs. “The closest that you’ve ever come to fucking me in public was a private bathroom stall. Or in my office with the door locked but that doesn’t count as public just because we could hear voices in the halls.”
“Bitch are you really testing me?”
At that you get up off his lap and casually head toward the door with tart in hand and grab your beach bag, which you had already packed. Wink back at him suggestively. “I guess we’ll see.”
***************
“Is this public enough for you?”
He says it in a huff—grating and gruff, the brush of his beard ever coarser now that salt and sand have stuck into the scruff. You’re both sharply aware that others may be watching and no doubt loving the view. It’s not as if you’re putting on a show on purpose for the world to watch you two, but there’s just such a thrill in knowing passing strangers could stroll by and see your man’s bare backside thrusting viciously while he’s on top of you.
It’s obvious that Ray still hates this place. Clear from the gritting of his teeth and from the grimace creasing up his sweat-streaked face. He hates the scrape of sand beneath you and the brutal beating of the sun above you. But you love when there’s a little bit of hatred in the way that he makes love to you.
Never towards you, of course—rather towards what you make him feel and make him do, which is a whole lot fucking worse. Your presence in his life is such a blessing yet your power over him is such a curse.
For someone so extremely self-possessed, so serious about control that he is honestly obsessed, it’s quite unsettling how readily he lets you take the reins and make him yours.
He steals back some of that control by owning all your holes with feral fucking force.
You haven’t yet answered his question as to whether this beach is public enough for you. Too breathless from just how epic the sex is but when Raymond cups your jaw your eyes flit open and you read answer me slut in his ferocious gaze of blue. You love the way he has no need for words to tell you what to do.
“Mmm, just enough,” you tell him blissfully as his thick cock plows into you savage and rough. He’s always much more than enough but you still want to act as if you won this game you came to play. “Just fuck me on this beach all day. I always knew you had the balls, Ray.”
He shoves deeper into your soaking wet core with a low grunt. Down to the hilt, making you gasp from being so perfectly filled. “You like the feeling of these big huge fucking balls slapping against your slutty cunt? Just like you want?”
“Fuck yes, sir…” you shout out loud enough for all the world to hear it as you hit the heights of pleasure. Fall to pieces as his shaft rails you to bits, and as his skillful fingers tease against your clit, applying just the perfect pressure.
“Take it all,” he growls as his sack tightens and stiff cock begins to powerfully convulse, racing the rhythm of your pulse, all set to paint your inner walls. His lip curls up against your ear in a demanding fucking snarl. “Take all the cum from these big fucking balls, you dirty little girl.”
Oh yes you fucking will, take everything he has to fill, and you will proudly let this man drill you in front of all the world.
He’s more than just a little proud too. Your shameless and openness and riskiness, when it comes to delicious frisky business, is just one of countless things he loves about you.
Raymond Smith is now a much kinkier bastard than he ever was without you.
By the time he’s thoroughly flooded your tight pussy, you’re both sprawled out on the sand loosely, savoring the sensation of his meat inside your heat all slick and juicy. When he at last slides out of you his cum drips out and paints a pearly path across the sand beneath the space between your legs. You’re both reduced to fucking wrecks.
Then as you cuddle through the sun-kissed afterglow, he glances over at the partly eaten peach dessert you’d brought and asks you something he just has to know. “What was even the point of the tart if your plan was to tempt me with sex?”
You smile and give him the innocent answer he probably expects. “Just to butter you up a bit. Knew you would love it.”
Don’t tell him just yet that this tart filled with peach also serves some less innocent subtext: now that your man has finally fucked your pussy on the beach… you’ll soon ask him if he wants to fuck your peach next.

Soda
Cola (Coke)
Is useful for protection, exorcism and banishment. Drink it if someone won’t leave you the hell alone, or if you’re battling negative thoughts.
Root Beer A soda of family, togetherness, and good communication. Root Beer is a wholesome drink that represents the home. Drink it if you want to end drama with your relatives of roommates, or you just want to promote a good relationship with your loved ones.
7up
Is a drink for keeping good health, both physical and mental! Drink 7up if you need some peace of mind, or your stomach hurts. This is also good way to magically cleanse yourself! (You know, if all you have is soda!) Orange Soda
can bring happiness and inspire creativity! This is the soda for celebration and imagination. Have you noticed how young children are more likely to drink orange soda than adults? Maybe the key to your inner child is drinking more orange soda!
Grape Soda
the ~magical~ soft drink that boosts all your psychic powers. It’s the amethyst of soda and not just because it’s purple! (though that does help) Drink it before/during divination, spirit work, or any magic that relies on your connection with other, higher powers.
Pepsi
is the soda of justice, in a way. It’s good for tearing down enemies, breaking off relationships, or good old fashioned hexing. It’s also helpful in a less malicious ways, like bindings and mirror spells.
Sprite
is a soda of fortune and wealth, and you should drink it if you need to get a job or come into money somehow. Or, for general luck, and general success.
Dr. Pepper
represents identity and boosts confidence. If you’re dong any introspection, it can help connect you to your true self. If you’re using a glamour, it will assist in keeping up the appearance you’re trying to achieve.  Drink it before performances ( though not right before, because soda isn’t great for the voice.) or when you’re meeting someone new.
Strawberry Soda is a soda of romance and love! Drink it to invite new relationships into your love life. If that’s not your style, drink it to promote self-love! You deserve to treat yo self.
Ginger Ale
the one-up of sodas! Add it to another drink to boost it’s properties, or drink it own your own to give yourself a magical pick-me-up! Really it could be applied to any skill, mundane or otherwise, if you need it! Diet

Tea 🍵 is one of the oldest and most popular beverages in the world. And many people love it 😍 not only because it comes in tons of forms and varieties, but also because it brings marvelous benefits for our health!⠀ ⠀ It has antioxidants that help us delay the aging process ??, it’s a natural stress reducer, and it can also help us lower hypertension levels. It has no calories, it has flavonoids and vitamin H so helps us strengthen our immune system 💪, keeps us hydrated and can even fight tooth decay. But there is more!⠀ ⠀ So here you have six tea types to choose and make your new favorite!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Chamomile: Chamomile tea 🌼 helps with bloating, headaches and anxiety, helps prevent cancer and heart disease, and it’s also a caffeine-free alternative to black and green tea and has a soft sweet taste. Perfect before going to bed 🛌 if you want to feel super relaxed!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Green: 🌱 One of the healthiest beverages on the planet, this tea protects the brain from aging, increases fat burning and boosts metabolic rates that contribute to fat loss. It’s amazingly good for your health!!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Peppermint: This tea is an excellent remedy for bad breath 🤭 because of the menthone, limonene, and menthol components it has. It helps with bloating and nausea 🤢, and if you suffer from pms, it’s an excellent remedy to relieve the pain. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Hibiscus: Any respiratory issues? This tea is for you. It also lowers high blood pressure and it’s a very tasty option whether you drink it hot or cold. You can mix it with lemon 🍋 and honey 🍯 for refreshing drink!⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Chai: “Chai” is simply the Hindi word for tea, so this one is actually a combination of black tea, ginger and other spices that create a sweet and spicy flavor 😋. It helps boost the immune system, reduce sugar blood levels and improve heart health ❤️.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Matcha: Matcha comes from the same plant as green tea 🌱 but this one comes from the entire tea leaf so it contains a greater amount of caffeine ☕️ and antioxidants. It helps to detoxify the body, lose weight, promote heart health and is considered an immunity booster.⠀ ⠀ So which is your favorite tea? Tell us why in the comments below! https://www.instagram.com/p/CGDK7ZeFzSW/?igshid=dhfz7ct7qis5

D&D Character Ask Post
In Honor of D&D, Here are 100 Questions answered about my character Alistair. Done from a prompt reposted by @mechmech and @scatterpatter , and also gonna tag my DM @aerial-ace97
What Does He Smell like: Ozone, Sandalwood, Pine
Voice: A light baritone, sometimes slipping into a bit of a lit from his native island (similar to a Scottish brogue/Irish lit)
Motivator: Before he met his group? Power and Adrenaline. Now? Redemption.
Most embarrassing memory: (TW: Animal Death) He doesn’t really remember this as he was terribly drunk at the time, but he and his crew stopped in a city that held goats as a sacred animal. With a terribly “bright” idea, he wondered how far a goat could fly? Because goats fly. Throws the goat off of the third floor of a building. Then proceeds to have a not very respectful Coffin Dance-style funeral for said goat.
How does he react to pain: Lots of swearing and anger.
What does he wear: He wears dragon scale armor that has three deep gouges in it from where he was previously killed. A faded and slightly ragged admiral style coat on top, leather breeches, and give this man some high calf pirate boots. He also always wears a green headband to keep his hair back, and occasionally an eyepatch to hide his demonic eye.
Most positive relationship: In terms of character development, it might be Torvid, as Torvid inspires Alistair to be a better moral person. In terms of wholesomeness? His partner/hopefully soon fiancé, Atwater. Atwater was able to show Alistair that he can have positive love in his life, without having to fight so hard for it.
The weirdest thing he has ever eaten: Corren’s cooking
Sleep: He suffers from nightmares and now more recently night terrors. Because he technically doesn’t need to sleep from effects of his class, he often chooses not to. However, when he does sleep, he sleeps hard, snores lightly, and octopus cuddles anything in his bed.
Favorite food/ kinda food: He actually really loves a dish similar to pao de queijo (Brazillian Cheese Bread).
Most insecure about: His ability of being a leader.
Like to wear: He enjoys fairly tight fitting clothing to prevent too much flapping when he flies or moves around quickly.
How do they react to feelings of guilt: Denial and self doubt
React to betrayal: A very quick and violent anger that chills to a long lasting and cold hatred. He doesn’t forgive easily.
Greatest achievement: After being mutinied against by his former crew, being wanted and supported as a leader for his current adventuring party
Too little sleep: Pretty robotic, but he doesn’t get exhausted anymore or feel any physical effects of not getting sleep due to his class.
What are they like drunk: He’s a very cheerful and boisterous drunk. Makes and laughs at many jokes. Can fall into a melancholy pretty easily though if he thinks on certain thoughts too long. Deflects with humor!
Music likes: 80s hair band music, and 70s-80s rock.
Right or left-handed: Right handed
Fears: He’s claustrophobic, but also has a fear of being vulnerable and getting his heart broken again.
Favorite weather: Sunny Day with a slight chill.
Favorite color: He really likes blue.
Collect anything: Well technically he used to collect gold and other high priced artifacts. He doesn’t really collect anything anymore.
Hot or cold weather: This man controls the weather. He enjoys his thermostat of life to be at a nice 70 degrees F.
Eye color: His natural eye color is an emerald green. His left eye is a demon cat eye, with a gold iris and black sclera.
Race/ ethnicity: He’s a human in the world of Sekrezia, but in IRL, he’s probably northern UK.
Hair color: Ginger/Auburn, with some sun-bleached streaks in it.
Happy where they are currently: … Well his adopted sister and brother just died in the last game so nah. BUT- as kind of a whole, he’s happy to be where he is now as a person compared to how he used to be.
Morning person: Yup. He tends to wake with the sun if he sleeps, and once he’s awake- he’s awake.
Sunrise or sunset: He loves the sunset. It calms and amazes him that he survived another day.
Messy or organized: He’s messy. Kind of an ADHD procrastination kind of messy.
Pet peeves: Disloyalty, undeserved ego trips, other weather veins that mess with his control of the weather,
Objects of significant importance: O’Malley, his halberd. He earned his weapon when he became a captain, and it has saved his life numerous times after.
Least favorite food: After being stuck in a cave for over a year? Anything with mushrooms.
Least favorite color: He’s not a fan of dark reds or browns. Reminds him too much of dried blood. (oooh edgelord)
Least favorite smell: Cauterized Flesh, Rotting Fish
The last time they cried: Last game. But before that? When he found out that Torvid killed his father. Before before that? When Atwater died. Before before before that? When he woke up alone in the desert after the mutiny.
Were they with anyone when they cried: His party. His party and both sides of the war that was going on. And no one.
One time they got injured: He actually died in a fight with a dragon, not with the dragon, but with a bat crony of the dragon.
Scars: He’s got a scar in the shape of a jagged p on his right cheek, a claw scar from when his eye was gouged out, and he also has the marks from the bat crony when he died. Alistair also has lightning scars on his arms that led to minor nerve damage that occurred when he first was learning how to use his magic.
Mental health issues: ADHD, Depression, Anxiety
Bad habits: Lashing out when he doesn’t know how to process his emotions
Why might someone dislike him: … Lemme get the list. So if we ignore the fact that he used to be a feared sky pirate, earning the nickname “Orphaner of the Skies”… he can be a flippant asshole sometimes. He can often forget to stay in touch and update people on important topics. Also, some may dislike him because he insists on being their dad (*cough* CORREN *cough*)
Why might someone love him: Alistair is very loyal to those he trusts and he can often fall into caretaker type tendencies.
Believe in ghosts: Yeah. He’s seen them and fought them. Also dated one.
Anyone they would trust with their life: Mecha, Corren, Tristan, Atwater, Jerry, Mephistopheles, and Torvid.
Romantically interested in anyone: Atwater!
Dating/ Married: He is currently dating Atwater
Like surprises: Not really
Birthday: His weave day is in Summer, Sibelya 13th.
Celebrate their birthday: He used to. Doesn’t really anymore, mostly because he hasn’t had much reason to celebrate or the time.
Family: His parents are dead, but he still has his adopted aunt Imelda. He also views Tristan as his brother, Corren as his little brother, Mecha as his sister. Atwater is his romantic partner, and he is now the step father of Atwater’s child, Crestwell. He also is the adopted father of Liam (deceased) and Liam’s twin sister, Serana.
Close to their family: Yes
MBTI type: ENTP
Zodiac signs: His Sekrezian Sign is Xamatang, The Coming Storm
Hogwarts house: Gryffindor
Alignment; Chaotic Neutral but he’s steadily making his way towards Chaotic Good
Nightmares: Yes. Often about his ex, Ghost. He also has nightmares about losing those he considers family.
View on death: If it happens, it happens. Once someone is at peace, leave them be.
Something they always laugh at: Seeing his group smile and joke around.
When bored, what do they do: Fly, tinker with magic, practice magic, research magic.
Enjoy the outside: Very much so.
Accent: I can’t replicate it, but I imagine it’s somewhere between a Scottish and Irish accent. However it has faded as he hasn’t been home in a very long time.
Upon seeing a slice of chocolate cake, the first reaction: *Poke it*, *Look at it*, *Look around*… *Shrug*, My cake now.
If they knew they were going to die what would they do/ say: He would find his party, if he can- gives them hugs, and hopefully be able to die watching the sunset. “Find what makes you happy and hold on to it. You all deserve to have happiness in your lives.”
Feelings about sex: He likes it. He also has a pretty damn high libido.
Sexuality: Bisexual
Squeamish around blood: Somewhat. It makes him uncomfortable now because he’s scared that he likes the sight of it still.
Anything they find gross: Rotting bodies and decaying bodies.
TV trope: Father Figure, Tragic Backstory, Anti-Hero
Enjoy helping people: Yes, he finds it comforting, like a form of redemption.
Allergies: Minor shellfish allergy
Pet: Does Meph count as a pet? I mean, he usually hangs around Alistair as a cat.
Quick to anger: Depends on the situation, but yes.
How patient is he: Not very. He gets very jittery and anxious easily. He’s getting slightly better at that.
Good at cooking: Somewhat, he tends to overdo it on the spice.
Favorite insult:” It’s cute when you try.”
How do they act when happy: The biggest doofiest smile, and he can’t help but laugh occasionally.
What do they do when they learn about others’ fears: He keeps it secret, but tends to go out of his way to help them through it, or help them avoid their fears.
Trustworthy: If you earn his trust, yes. A million times in return.
Do they try to hide their emotions: If it benefits him? Yes. And he’s damn good at it. But if he feels it’s not necessary to do so, his heart is on his sleeve.
Exercise regularly: Yes. His constitution is ridiculous and so he often finds ways to keep up and improve his stamina and strength even further.
Comfortable with the way they look: Yeah. He can get a lil cocky about it. But this is a man who uses bar soap on his hair.
Features they find attractive on others: Eyes and hands.
Personalities they find attractive: He likes those that can keep up with him intellectually, but also on a wittier level as well. He really views self-confidence as attractive.
Do they like sweet foods: Yes.
Age: He just turned 42.
Tall or short: He’s 6’0”
Glasses or contacts: Nah
Consider herself attractive: Yup
Sense of humor: Sexual humor, dad jokes ftw, but can also throw in some dark and self-deprecating humor nowadays.
What mood are they in most often: Most recently, a sort of determined melancholia. But he used to be very self-assured, confident, and flippant.
What angers them: Child abuse, betrayal, hurting those he cares about.
Outlook on life: “Just keep going. Roll with the punches. Because that sun is going to rise again, and you’re going to get to try again, try something new, find something new.”
What makes them sad or depressed: Thinking of those he has lost, thinking of Ghost, falling into his own insecurities.
Greatest weakness: He often jumps into situations without thinking them through. He tends to be very “leap before he looks”
Greatest strength: His determination and resiliency
Something they regret: Losing contact with his crew and Imelda, not being a better leader in his eyes, his past of piracy, and in some ways- all his deals with Mephistopheles, even the one that granted him his magic.
Biggest accomplishment: Isn’t this the same as greatest achievement?
Favorite memory: Sitting by the campfire with his group and all of them laughing, joking, and smiling with each other. With the good ol occasional ribbing at Corren’s expense.

If you’re looking for the best-ever vegan pumpkin soup recipe, you’ve come to the right place! Making a vegetarian version of pumpkin soup can be surprisingly easy, and delicious too , and is a great way to enjoy all the flavors of fall without relying on animal products. Here are a few tips to help you make the most delicious soup you’ve ever tasted.
1- Start by selecting a variety of pumpkins. Heirloom pumpkins have a great flavor and can withstand a bit of roasting, while smaller pumpkins are great for pureeing into a creamy soup. Look for one that is orange-fleshed, as this will give your soup the best flavor.
2- When it comes to seasoning, it’s essential to use the right balance of herbs and spices. A combination of thyme, nutmeg, cinnamon, and paprika is perfect for adding depth and complexity to the soup. To add more flavor, try adding spices like ginger, turmeric, and nutmeg to the soup. – you can add some chopped red chili and a crushed clove of garlic to Pumpkin Soup and make a hot delicious Soup to serve. – you can change your Pumpkin Soup taste with ginger, red curry, and Turmeric and make a different Soup.
3- Next, use vegetable broth to give the soup a rich, hearty flavor.
4- Be sure to add some type of dairy-free cream for creaminess and richness. Soy or coconut cream works great. you can use coconut milk. This will give your vegan pumpkin soup a creamy yet light texture.
5- If you are looking for a creamier texture, try blending some cooked beans into the soup.
6- You can also try adding other vegetables to your soup, like sweet potatoes, carrots, or celery. All of these will give the soup a unique flavor and texture.
7- when your soup is too thick, add some water to make loosen Soup then reheat that and serve the soup.
8- Finally, don’t forget the garnishes. Chopped nuts, croutons, and fresh herbs can really take your vegetarian pumpkin soup to the next level.
With these tips and a few of your own tweaks, you’ll be able to make the best-ever vegan pumpkin soup! Bon appetit!
A steaming bowl of vegan pumpkin soup is a delicious, comforting meal. But there are a few ways to top it off and add some flavor to take it to the next level. For starters, you can sprinkle some toasted pumpkin seeds on top. Not only do they add a nutty crunch, but they also provide some healthy fats. You can also try adding some diced apples, which are not only a great source of sweetness but they also provide a delightful textural contrast. For a savory topping, try some diced smoked tofu. It adds a nice smoky flavor to the soup. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also add a pinch of paprika or chili powder for a hint of heat. Finally, you can’t go wrong with a drizzle of coconut milk. It adds a creamy, nutty flavor that pairs perfectly with the pumpkin. All these toppings will make your vegan pumpkin soup even more delicious and flavorful!
Serving and decorating pumpkin soup can be a creative and fun experience! To start, you’ll want to choose a large bowl that will showcase the soup’s beautiful color. Then, pour the soup into the bowl and top off with a dollop of crème fraiche or sour cream for a creamy finish. You can also top it with some freshly chopped chives or diced pumpkin for a pop of color. If you want to take it one step further, you can make decorative pumpkin-shaped croutons or garnish with a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds. For an even more festive look, you can add a few drops of dark balsamic glaze for a sweet, smoky flavor. Finally, light a few candles to create a cozy atmosphere, and you’ll have a delicious and beautiful bowl of pumpkin soup that your guests will love!
