what are your top 5 movies? im curious now
oo thanks for asking i love talking about movies (ask game)
donnie darko (2001)
no concrete reason for why i love this movie so much, i just always have such a good time watching it. makes no sense but i understand it (<- no i dont but by god do i have thoughts)
2. the prestige (2006)
tbh if i watched this one more recently it'd probably move down a few places but watching it as like a 14 year old the twist blew my mind. definitely one of nolan's better built up end reveals. and the main characters are such unwell little freaks it's really enjoyable watching them ruin their lives
3. true romance (1993)
mostly on here for the score and the sets/costuming. reaches an enjoyable level of tarantino-y while not being overdone (imo) as it's written but not directed by him. though, does also contain one of my all time least favourite film scenes.
4. heathers (1989)
i could watch this every day and i'd never get sick of it i think its the perfect movie. no particular thoughts on it just tv static (positive)
5. but i'm a cheerleader (1999)
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone should be forced to watch this at some point in their lives i'm not joking. brilliant satire, and the mise en scene is fucking spectacular. i could (and have in the past) write essay on the use of colour in this movie

““Alright sweet thing,” this guy tells me and I want to punt kick him in the balls for it.” - i know thats right fr. Vivienne also, is everything. Shes a better friend than she is sister, and ill let that sit with yall (yall, i say like im talking to a crowd, bye, im so delulu) anyways but the whole inner turmoil of jude thinking Cardan invited her to embarrass her? Baby who hurt you (Your mother, i know. Already cleared that) im talking in a lot of parenthesis. You can see where the medicine is taking over, actually. Im lucid tho
““My baby sister,” he coos in jest, making me feel uneasy. “Come here,” he tells me,” –he’s such a dickhead im in love
“At the wedding it was all soft makeup and tied up hair. JUDE AND CARDAN KISSED? WHEN?
OH - “. We did a little more than kissing that night. His fingers traced over parts of me even the sun hadn’t yet touched. Thunder had masked cries I couldn’t hold back and lightning had made him look like a luminous god. I cross my legs, embarrassed and something more.” help me. They said impromptu orgy. “Cardan shifts and leans back on his elbow, still having a perfect view of me, but now giving Nicasia space to twist her head to look at me, too. ” - please…. I am on my knees… i am unwell….i am sick to my stomach… alexa play that should be me by justin beiber…. That should be me fr but which one is the question??
God why is ghost everything right now??? “Do you want them to watch?” like oh my god….. I need a moment. I need a lot of moments. “”Do you want your brother to watch me taste your come?”” – i am…convulsing. Ghost is… like my body is breaking out in a sweat.
Say please and make it as sweet as your – top 3 things that would send a victorian child into a coma

Hi! Have u done any pregnant Hanji and overprotective daddy Levi already?? Yep i think im craving for more domestic levihan family, im sorry 😭
Im a bit new here in the community, and when i read ur works, i fell in love with it already, thank you for existing!!! 💖💖💖
Hello anon! Thank you so much, I’m so glad you enjoyed my other fics :3 Sorry for the very long wait for this one, I've been struggling to find the time/motivation to write lately, but I'm feeling a little better and I figured I'd get to work on some of my prompts. Starting here!!
It ended up a little less domestic and a touch more angsty than I had originally planned, but only for a moment--happy endings all round!
Warning: this does start off with non-graphic depictions of nausea/vomiting, I hope that doesn't bother you!
Hange had been feeling unwell for days.
It wasn't an uncommon occurrence—Hange tended to wake up feeling nauseous some days, most often when she'd neglected to eat a decent meal the evening before—but this was the fourth morning in a row now, that Hange found herself bent over the toilet bowl in the early hours of the morning, heaving up nothing but acid and empty air.
She retched until her stomach ached. There was nothing left to bring up, but her gut still rolled unpleasantly and there was a telling tremor under her tongue that warned her it might be best to stay in the bathroom a little while longer. She settled heavily against the wall to catch her breath.
It didn't make any sense. For most of the day, Hange felt fine. A little tired, maybe, but that was only to be expected after spending half the night every night on the bathroom floor. Tonight, no doubt, would follow the uncomfortably familiar routine: Hange would dry-heave a little longer, until the queasiness abated enough for Levi to convince her to come back to bed, and then she would toss and turn, too warm beneath the bed clothes, until she could fall into a restless sleep. She'd wake up feeling a little groggy, a little bleary, unreasonably hungry, but after a coffee and some breakfast she would feel well again. Perfectly normal.
Like clockwork, Levi appeared in the doorway just as Hange had flopped herself back over the toilet. She felt his palm, cool and soft, press against the back of her neck. Hange gathered her hair back from her face with both hands, braced her elbows on the toilet bowl, letting out a groan of discomfort as her stomach twisted, threatened to revolt again. Levi's thumb rubbed soothingly against her neck.
Sure enough, she brought up nothing more, but she gagged plenty, and found herself gasping for breath by the time she leaned back against Levi, aching and exhausted. His lips pressed into her damp hair.
Levi was as silent as always. His touch was pleasant, his presence welcome. Hange needed the hand he offered to pull her to her feet, needed his reassuring grip at her hips as she brushed her teeth and rinsed her mouth out. Her quaking knees felt unstable beneath her.
He lay facing her after they got into bed. Hange was sprawled out atop the covers, shifting restlessly to find the coolest patches on the bed. Levi watched her for a moment, then said, "This isn't normal."
Hange only grumbled.
"You said you'd book an appointment with the doctor."
Hange grumbled again. Levi ticked his tongue and rolled to lie on his back, staring at the ceiling.
"Call tomorrow."
"If I didn't know better," Hange said sluggishly, "I'd say you were worried about me."
He scowled and rolled onto his other side, his back to her now.
"No, just sick of waking up at half four every morning to drag you back to bed."
Hange managed a small, wicked snicker, but shuffled across the space between them and pressed an apologetic kiss to the back of his neck.
"Must be dreadful," she said. Her voice sounded raw, hoarse. She buried her nose into his hair and took a long, deep breath. Levi grunted, but reached back and pulled her arm loosely over his hip. He knotted their fingers together loosely.
"Call them, Hange."
Hange gave his fingers a gentle, reassuring squeeze.
"I will."
**
Hange prided herself on being a reasonably intelligent person. She had two degrees, was working towards her doctorate, and already had her name on a small handful of peer-reviewed research papers. She spoke multiple languages, read dissertations for fun, kept a (in Levi’s words) disgustingly realistic human skeleton in a box under the bed for study purposes, and had spent the better part of the last 26 years of her life studying human biology and physiology.
How she had not predicted that she might be pregnant was almost unfathomable.
She left the doctors office in a daze with an appointment card and several pamphlets in hand. She had been referred hastily to a midwife and the hospital would soon be sending out a date for an ultrasound—“As soon as possible,” the doctor had said, “since you’re not sure how far along you are.”
The thing is, Hange had been on the same birth control pill for years now. Forgetful as she may be about many, many things (like eating, and bathing, and washing the dishes and taking out the garbage and and and), Hange was religious in taking that damn pill at the same time every single day. She had never missed it, not even once. Without a regular cycle, Hange had no way of predicting when they had conceived, and the doctor was eager to make sure no essential landmarks in her antenatal care were missed, if they could possibly help it.
The thought had never even crossed her mind. It seemed ridiculous now, in hindsight. The sickness was one thing, but now that she thought about it, there were a whole host of small oddities that Hange could easily attribute to pregnancy. Lethargy, and bloating, heartburn, and she had been peeing more than usual—Hange groaned, and scrubbed her hands over her face. She should have suspected, at least. Should have put the pieces together sooner.
But, stupid and naive as it may be, she hadn’t thought it possible. Why worry about it, when Hange had taken consistent precautions to avoid it?
She felt queasy the entire bus ride home.
It wasn’t that she was against the idea of having children. One day, maybe. When she had finished her doctorate, got herself a steady, well-paid job. When she and Levi had moved out of their tiny, cramped apartment into somewhere bigger, somewhere more suited for a family.
And god. Levi.
This was something they’d never really talked about. For his part, Levi never seemed all that interested. He was good with Hange’s nieces and nephews, and Erwin’s son adored him, and he hadn’t showed any express dislike for children, but—well, tolerating other peoples little brats and raising your own are two very different things.
What if Levi didn’t want the baby? What if he did? Hange wasn’t even sure herself what she wanted to do about the whole situation—what if she didn’t want it? What if, after some reflection, Hange decided now wasn’t a good time? Could they even afford a baby right now? Hange’s money was tied up in her education, while Levi was just making ends meet at the office. They got by well enough with just the two of them, but add in a baby? A whole other person, entirely dependant on them for support? Hange could barely feed and bathe herself, some days, never mind responsibly care for a child.
By the time the bus pulled up near the house, Hange felt more distressed than ever. Levi, at least, was at work until the evening, so she had a few more hours to herself to mull everything over, but the entire situation made her stomach clench and churn unpleasantly with every new thought.
The prospect of having a child was terrifying. The prospect of not having this child was nauseating.
Levi had left the flat in pristine condition when he had left for work, but Hange barely had the energy to feel even a little guilty as she shrugged off her coat and kicked off her shoes, leaving both strewn about the floor. She dumped her bag and made her way sluggishly through to the bedroom.
Levi had made the bed. The sheet was stretched flat over the mattress, the pillows perfectly fluffed and set against the headboard. Hange’s nightshirt, one of Levi’s old, baggy shirts, too stretched and threadbare for him to wear, had been folded neatly and left on her side of the bed, her slippers lined up smartly with the bed frame. For some reason—hormones, she told herself—her eyes watered, and a lump swelled in her throat. She sniffled pitifully as she stripped off her clothes and pulled on the shirt, clambering into the bed and tugging the sheets until the cocooned around her.
Hange passed the rest of the day tossing and turning in bed. She tried to nap, but her mind was too restless, occupied with thoughts of the baby, with the concept of having to tell Levi when he came home. She could try to lie, say the doctors had done some blood work, that she was waiting on the results of some test or other, but Levi knew her too well. She could never lie to him, and her despondent state would give her away before she had the chance to say anything.
The sun was beginning to set by the time she heard Levi’s keys in the door. She felt exhausted, head aching with all the thinking, considering, weighing up her options; with running over every possible outcome she could imagine. Keeping the baby, getting rid of the baby, Levi not wanting the baby, Levi leaving over the baby—every scenario she could imagine was worse than the last. There was only one idea that she had hardly dared entertain, in fear of disappointment if things didn’t work out.
She heard Levi call out for her, but gave no answer. She listened, curled up in a ball on her side, as he shuffled around, no doubt picking up her coat and shoes from where she had abandoned them. And then he made his way towards the bedroom, steps soft on the plush carpet. The bedroom door creaked open.
“Hange?”
She made a small, warbled noise under the bedclothes. Levi came to sit on the bed, the mattress dipping beneath his weight. His hand found the curve of Hange’s hip.
“How was it?”
Hange made another noncommittal sound. She wiped her nose and eyes on the sheets, but didn’t dare show her face just yet. She wasn’t ready. She had never prepared for this conversation, never even imagined it before today. It was too soon. Not enough time to rehearse.
Levi’s hand moved to her back, rubbing lightly up and down her spine, before dropping to the mattress behind her. He leaned over her, and she felt his lips press warm and gentle to the point of her shoulder. A fresh wave of tears poured over the bridge of her nose and down the side of her face.
She tried to be quiet, but something—the shake of her shoulder, perhaps, or the shudder of air as she tried to take a steadying breath in—gave way to her crying. Levi moved off the bed, but Hange felt his fingers prying lightly at the sheets, pulling them down until he could get a good look at her face. He was kneeling by the bed now, face level with her, and he looked at her with worry pinching deep creases between his brows.
“Oi, what’d they say?”
Hange bit the inside of her lip and rubbed her damp cheek on the pillow. If Levi was bothered by her using their bedding as a tissue, he didn’t show it. He simply looked at her, eyes darting over her face, searching. It occurred to Hange then how this must look to him. She had gone to the doctors due to unexplained, violent sickness, and now she is in bed, hours later, still crying about whatever news she had received.
“I’m fine,” she said. Levi’s tense shoulders relaxed a fraction, but his face remained pinched, frowning and concerned. Hange wanted to tell him quickly, simply, like ripping off a plaster, but the words would not come. She opened her mouth, but her throat constricted painfully.
Eventually, she said, “my bag. There’s some stuff in my bag. Have a look.”
Levi gave her a somewhat quizzical look, but stood, dropping a quick kiss to her temple before going to fetch the bag, and dipping his hand in to fish out the contents inside.
Hange watched with her breath held and her stomach clenched as Levi pulled out the handful of leaflets and turned them over, looking at each one in turn. His eyes widened fractionally as comprehension dawned on him. His lips pressed into a thin line. Leaden weight settled in Hange’s gut. She curled into a tighter ball, pressing the bedsheets over her mouth and nose, waiting for him to gather himself enough to say something.
After a moment, he spoke.
“That’s all?”
Huh? “Huh?!”
Hange disentangled her arms from the sheets and sat up, staring at him. Levi moved to sit on the edge of the bed again, a scowl back on his face, though there was an intriguing flush high on his cheeks as he whacked her lightly on the top of the head with the leaflets.
“Stupid four-eyes,” he said, exasperated. “Crying like that. I thought you were dying.”
“I’m pregnant.” Hange said the word slowly, carefully, in case Levi had somehow misunderstood. He had the audacity to look at her like she was stupid.
“I can see that.”
“And you have nothing more to say about it? That’s all?”
Levi shrugged a little at her. Aside from the small patches of colour in his cheeks, Levi seemed wholly unfazed by the revelation.
“It’s just a baby. We can handle a baby.”
“That doesn’t terrify you?”
Levi scrutinised her for a moment, before he said, “are you scared?”
“Yes? Yes! How are you so calm? We can’t afford a baby—we don’t have the time for a baby? Where will they going to sleep? We don’t have a spare room. Can we get time off work to take care of a baby? How will we pay for childcare when we can’t be around?”
“Hange,” Levi said, putting a stop to her rambling. He watched her with a pinched stare. “Do you not want it?”
Hange had spent the majority of the day mulling over this same question. Staring a family was a huge, life-changing commitment, something that required  careful forethought and planning. They had not had that luxury. Hange was pregnant now. She had doubts and fears, more than she could ever express, but the idea of simply having a baby—of having this baby—wasn’t upsetting. In the small, brief moments she had allowed herself to imagine a future where she and Levi were parents, where they weren’t wanting for money or time, where things were well, she felt happy. Giddy. The prospect was almost exciting.
“It’s not that,” Hange said earnestly. “I do—I’ve been thinking about it all day, and I—I do want it. But I just—we had no time to prepare. We have no savings, we have no space, I’m a mess. How are we supposed to take care of a tiny person? Babies are hard work, Levi.”
“You’re already hard work.”
Hange laughed weakly, and wiped at her face again. Levi pressed a kiss to her raw cheek.
“We’ll figure it out,” he said.
Hange leaned into him, sighing quietly.
“Is this the kind of thing we can just figure out?”
Levi hummed, shrugging his shoulder. His fingers skimmed up beneath Hange’s shirt, splaying over the small of her back and pulling her closer.
“Why not? We’ve done a good job bullshitting our way through everything else.”
Hange laughed lightly and bumped the side of her head against Levi’s.
“This is different, Levi. This is a person. A tiny little person who is going to need me and you to do everything for them. What if we can’t do it? What if we mess up?”
“Hange.” Levi pulled back a little and his hands came up to grip either side of her face, forcing her to look at him. “Stop. I know all that. But if you want the brat, and I want the brat, we’ve got no choice but to get on with it.”
“I know, I know, but—wait, you want the baby?”
Levi maintained eye contact with her, but it seemed to take a concentrated effort to do so. The flush of his cheeks deepened a little and his lips quirked at the corners. No doubt to compensate for the show of emotion, he pulled his face into his customary frown.
“It’s fine,” he said. Hange fought the urge to roll her eyes and caught his hands as he lowered them from her face, pulling them into her lap.
“Are you saying that because it’s already too late, or do you want to keep it?”
Levi’s face took on a look of constipated strain. He curled his lip as though in distaste, then hooked a hand around the back of Hange’s neck and pulled her face to his abruptly, smacking a kiss to her lips. He let his forehead settle against hers and stroked his thumb over the hinge of her jaw.
He fought to keep his tone neutral, but Hange could hear the happy tremor in his voice as he said again, “It’s fine.”
For the first time since hearing the news that day, Hange allowed herself to feel excited. To accept the idea that she and Levi were about to start their own bizarre little family. That Levi was still with her felt incredible enough, but to know that he was pleased—it was more than she could ever have hoped for. Hange gave a wet laugh and kissed him again.
“Are you allergic to looking happy?” Hange asked as they broke apart. Levi clicked his tongue and pulled back to flick her square between the eyebrows. She laughed a little louder and leaned to wipe her runny nose on his shoulder. Levi muttered under his breath, but didn’t push her away.
“Okay,” Hange said, after a moment. She sat back and pushed her hair back from her face. “Okay. We’re having a baby, then.”
Levi’s rubbed the smile from his lips with the back of his hand, nodding. “We’re having a baby.”
Hange sunk down to flop back over the pillows. Levi looked down at her, head tilted, chewing the inside of his lip. Hange reached up to brush his fringe off his forehead, warmth spilling in her chest when he held her hand close and turned to kiss her palm.
She smiled a little playfully, and freed a leg from the sheets to dig her toes into his ribs.
“If I’d known you wanted kids I would have been significantly less stressed, you know.”
Levi quirked a brow at her.
“I’ve told you that before.”
“No, you haven’t.”
“I have. At your sisters wedding.”
Hange racked her brain, searching for the conversation. She remembered the occasion, and she remembered that she and Levi had somehow ended up babysitting Hange’s family brood. She remembered Levi, wrestling to keep her youngest nephew on his lap while the eldest, still only five or six at the time, was clambering up the back of his chair, sticky hands tugging at Levi’s collar. Hange fought hard to recall more of what was said, but could remember nothing at all of Levi announcing that he had wanted one of his own.
“You said these brats aren’t so bad,” Hange said slowly.
Levi nodded at her. Hange waited for him to elaborate, but he didn’t, only looked at her like there was nothing more he needed to say.
“That’s it? That’s your idea of telling me you want kids?”
“The hell else could I have meant?”
Hange dug her toe at him again but Levi caught her foot this time, pushing it firmly down onto the mattress. Hange reached for him with both arms instead, curling them around the back of his neck and tugging him down quickly. He toppled over her with a quiet oof, and Hange rolled them quickly, straddling his waist and dropping her weight down onto him.
“That is the kind of thing you say clearly, Levi! These brats aren’t so bad—you’re ridiculous!”
Levi wrestled with her arms a little longer before giving up and bringing his hands instead to rest low on her hips. He watched her with a curious expression on his face, something open and soft, and then his eyes roved down to her abdomen and his thumbs brushed inwards, beneath the hem of her shirt, stroking over her lower belly.
This time, he didn’t fight his smile.
He reached up and pulled her down by the neck, and kissed her soundly. Hange melted against him, welcomed the press of his tongue between her lips, shuddered pleasantly when he nipped at her bottom lip. She went with him willingly as he rolled them both over, nudging a knee between her legs and settling his weight against her.
She was spreading her legs to make space for him, when he paused suddenly, and pulled back, leaning over the bed and scooping through the discarded back of leaflets. Hange, winded and dishevelled, watched him incredulously as he flicked through the contents of one, then tossed it aside and opened another.
“What are you doing?”
Without looking up, Levi replied, “Checking.”
“Checking what?”
“I wanna know if we can still—” he waved a hand between them, and went back to searching.
“We’ve been—” Hange mimicked his gesture, “—up until now anyway.”
Levi looked up at her, looking mildly horrified. He held up one his open leaflet and said, “You’ve been drinking alcohol, too. You’re not supposed to do that. And look, here—you’re not supposed to overwork. You’ll have to take on less hours at the university. And you’ll eat. Proper damn meals. Every day.”
Hange flopped back against the pillows, eyes rolling, watching as Levi picked up each new leaflet in turn, pointing out every little adjustment that Hange would have to make.
“This one says you should get eight to ten hours sleep per night. Every night. And not so much coffee, the caffeine’s bad for the baby.”
The baby. It sounded surreal. It sounded ridiculous. Levi shifted to sit against the headboard beside her after opening the chunky little What to Expect While Expecting volume Hange had been handed while leaving the doctors. He seemed thoroughly engrossed, and seemingly unaware when one of his hands reached out to pull Hange’s hair free of its ponytail and sink into her hair. She hummed happily as his nails scraped over her scalp.
Things were still scary, and Hange was still uncertain about how this whole adventure might turn out. But Levi was still with her, and Levi was happy, and that—
—Well, that was good enough.

(Uses Mondstadt mansion and is on the mountains realm layout)
When Kazuha woke up he noticed 2 things, first, it was still dark, probably not long after midnight. Secondly, he was bursting to pee. He was staying in Lumine’s teapot that night along with some other of her friend’s. She had quite the eye for interior design, and fit 3 beds I to this small room without overcrowding the place. He pulled his covers off and stood up quietly, careful not to wake up the sleeping couple he was rooming with.
Xiao appeared to have crawled into Venti’s bed anyway and they were both sound asleep in each other’s embrace.
He closed the door softly behind him, taking soundless steps to the stairs. The sounds of laughter alerted him that a few people were still up, and within seconds it was revealed to be Beidou, Barbara, Zhongli, and Xingqiu, although the swordsman had a very obviously sleeping Chongyun leaning against him.
“Hey, kid!” Beidou greeted. “I thought you went to sleep already?”
“I did but…” he eyed the bathroom door for a moment, and a wave of urgency had him wince in pain.
“Oh!” Barbara stood from her seat “are you okay?”
“Y-yes I’m… fine” there was no way he was walking past them only to reveal his intended destination.
“Are you sure? You’re all sweaty and flushed” she was concerned after all.
“I have to agree with Miss Barbara, if you’re feeling sick it’s best to tell her, lest you fall more unwell” Zhongli added, mature, wise eyes gazing towards the ronin.
“I’m okay… I promise I’m just…” he glanced to the door “going to get some fresh air” yes that’s right! He could definitely just go for a short walk and find a tree to relieve himself behind.
Sets of eyes watched him curiously, and the moment he shut the door behind him another intense wave sent him kneeling, hands pressed firmly between his legs.
“N-no not here! Breathe. Just breathe” once it subsided he stood back up, he defining needed to pee. And now. The campsite near the mansion had a nice thick tree next to it, that was plenty of coverage.
“What are you doing up?” He jumped, startled, and a small wet patch grew on pants, thankfully hidden by the darkness of night.
“L-Lumine!” He spun around to face her. “I was just… uhm… getting some fresh air?” He knew she wasn’t stupid, but he was hoping she’d just go inside and leave him alone.
“…you know there’s a bathroom inside right?”
“I know!” Tears pricked at his eyes, his legs squeezed tightly together “people are awake and- and I’m too nervous”
“Okay don’t worry. There’s no need to cry” she placed a hand on his back, leading him closer to the tree “just go okay? I’ll turn around”
“T-thank you!” If he didn’t he was gonna piss himself, he dashed as quick as his feet would carry him around the back of the tree, and just went he thought he was safe, his foot caught on a rock and sent him tumbling to the ground.
“Ow ow! No- I” he sobbed, from a twisted ankle or acknowledgement he was officially wetting his pants again, he wasn’t sure.
“Kazuha!” Lumine dashed to him, not caring in the slightest about the growing warmth on his clothes “are you okay?”
“I- I tripped!” He was holding his foot tightly.
“H-hey… let me see okay?” She pulled his sandal off along with his socks, noticing but paying no mind to his obvious embarrassment in having had an accident. “It’s definitely sprained, we need to get you back inside to rest”
“But I-“
“Don’t worry I have an idea” she winked and lifted him gently, jumping into the river nearby and soaking them both from head to toe.
“…why did you?” He was thoroughly confused at this point.
“Simple. In the dark you tripped and fell in the water, I jumped in to help and oh no we’re both all wet” she smiled “no one has to know”
“…I appreciate it”

29 for mazlek cause it sounds like such a hoe thing to say
This took longer than planned, probably because it’s longer than planned. Ive put it under a read more. I hope you like it anon.
If anyone is triggered by illness, Joe is unwell in this - not seriously though. But there is talk of vomiting so avoid it if that's triggering for you.
29. What do you mean you’re sick, you’re supposed to be my partner in crime.
Joe’s phone buzzed continuously on his bedside locker, the sound puncturing his temples like a drill.
His stomach rolled as he moved to lie on his side and attempted to reach his phone; memories of last night spent with his head in the toilet flooding back and causing him to flee from his bed for what felt like the millionth time in the last twelve hours.
As he re-emerged from his bathroom; making a mental note to buy more cleaning products, he heard keys rattling in his front door.
“Joe!” His best friends voice made his head hurt, even from downstairs.
Walking as slowly as possible so not to jostle his stomach, he peeped round his door and croaked “Up here.”
His voice was shot after last night, throat burning from throwing up so much.
“Rami” God he sounded pathetic,
“Can you bring me water.......please?”
“You okay?” Rami shouted; Joe heard the water run as he made his way back to bed before he keeled over. Closing his eyes he could distantly hear Rami moving around downstairs.
“Joe?” He peeped open one eye and saw Rami standing over him; beautifully dressed as always, concern etching his face.
“You look awful Joey.” He handed him the water. Joe sat up gingerly and took a few sips; immediately regretting it as his stomach cramped up.
“Sorry......I........” he dashed into the bathroom again, pushing past Rami on the way.
“You alright?........want me to come in?” Rami hovered by the bathroom door.
“No.....god no” Joe managed to get out. There was no way he wanted Rami of all people watching him throw up.
While Joe hugged the toilet, Rami eyed his sheets suspiciously; he could tell Joe had slept fitfully. The duvet was twisted and the bottom sheet had come off the corner of the mattress. By the time Joe emerged from the bathroom, Rami had fresh, clean sheets on his bed and had put the others in a pile by the door. He’d put them in the wash later.
“You didn’t have to do that.” Joe mumbled weakly, as he slipped between the fresh, cool sheets; sighing as he closed his eyes.
Rami’s hand pressed gently against his forehead, “You’re not burning up......do you think it’s something you ate?” He sat down on the edge of the bed, pulling at a loose thread on Joe’s grey duvet.
“Dunno.......too sick to go today though.... I’m sorry.” Joe’s hand flapped around looking to squeeze Rami’s in his own.
“You can’t be sick. You’re my partner in crime. What would Snafu have to say about this?” Rami smiled, grabbing his hand and squeezing softly.
“Probably the same thing you just said” Joe replied weakly, he attempted a smile; which quickly turned into a grimace as his stomach cramped up again.
“I’m gonna call Jas and go get you some medicine.....be right back.” Rami’s patted his hand as Joe drifted off to sleep again.
Rami picked up the sheets by the door and headed downstairs.
He pushed his disappointment at Joe being ill aside as he put the washing machine on.
The reunion for The Pacific cast was an annual event and this year was the first time Rami and Joe could actually attend together, their busy schedules meaning only one or other of them had been able to show up previously. Rami walked past Joe’s navy suit, hanging up on a hook in the hall. He would have looked damn good in that, Rami thought as he made his way outside.
“Joe?” Rami squeezed Joe’s shoulder, attempting to rouse him, “I have some stuff you need to drink......don’t want you dehydrating.”
“Mmmmmmm” Joe rolled over, blinking blearily at Rami’s face.
“You need to go...you ll be late....”
“I think I should stay.....I’m worried about you.” Rami pushed Joe’s hair back from his forehead.
“I’m gross Rami.......you probably don’t wanna touch me.......and you’re going.....they’re expecting you.” Joe managed to push himself into a sitting position, sighing heavily at the effort.
“But what if you get worse?” Rami asked; hands on his hips.
“I ll call you....it’s only..what? A ten minute cab drive away?”
“What if you collapse or something?”
Joe took a tentative sip of his mug of rehydration salts, grimacing at the taste, “Then you’ll find me when you get back.”
“Joe that’s not funny.”
“Rami, I’m gonna be sleeping......please go have lunch and just give my apologies okay. I ll be fine.”
Rami huffed “Promise you won’t try and go downstairs or anything?”
“I promise......and thank you....for this ...........delicious concoction.” Joe lifted his mug in gratitude, wrinkling his nose.
“Right well if you’re sure?”
“I am”
Joe watched as Rami fussed with his blankets, making sure his phone and bottle of water was nearby, adding the tv remote control and a large bowl that that he pulled out from beside the bed.
“Just in case” he said as he placed it beside Joe on the duvet.
Joe felt a warm, comforting feeling spread over his chest, the crampy, sick feeling in his stomach eased somewhat by the butterflies now erupting in there. This had been happening a lot recently, Joe choosing to ignore it; but today that seemed a lot harder to do.
A few drinks in and talk turned to relationships; most of the guys were happily married, Rami being one of the only ones yet to settle down.
He checked his phone again as Martin rambled on about some house he was renovating; he couldn’t stop worrying about Joe and it seemed some of the others had noticed his detachment from the conversation.
“Rami” Ashton patted his arm, “You ok?”
Putting down his phone, Rami sighed and leant back in his chair, taking a long pull of his beer.
“Yeah......I’m worried about Joe....”
“He’s a big boy...I’m sure he’s fine.”
“You didn’t see him.....he’s really sick. Maybe I should go?” He raised his eyebrows at Ashton, “Do you think I should?”
Ashton smiled as Brendan rolled his eyes next to him.
“Jesus Christ” he drawled and Rami was whisked back to Australia and Bill Leyden saying the same thing to Snafu’s new nickname for Sledge.
“What?” Rami felt all eyes on him as the table quietened.
“You have some patience man” Brendan continued “12 years is it? Go get your man and quit sitting here worrying about him.”
“What?” Rami said again. He knew he was flushed red and he also knew that what Brendan has said was true.
He pushed back from the table and headed to the bar.
“He’s right y’know.” Martin joined him at the bar, Rami’s second whiskey doing little to calm his nerves. How in fuck did everyone know? Did Joe? Fuck.
“Yeah well it’s not that simple is it? He’s my best friend.” Rami stared at the brown liquid in his tumblr “I can’t risk ruining it.”
“So you happy to carry on pretending? Think of what you might have if you take that risk. Joe’s not an asshole.......he‘ll .....he’ll be good to you no matter what.” Martin clapped him on the back and headed to the bathroom.
He was right. Rami could have everything he’d ever wanted if he was just willing to risk everything he currently had. Knocking back his whiskey he cursed himself for coming and the boys confusing the hell out of him. He wished Joe was here.
“Rami!” Ashton shouted from their table near the bar, “Your phones ringing!”
“It’s lover boy!” Brendan yelled and Rami’s stomach plummeted. Joe said he’d only call him if he felt worse, he needed to leave.
Snatching his phone from Ashton he turned away from the table as he answered;
“Joey” the pet name slipping from his mouth unconsciously. He could hear Brendan snorting behind him and Martin and Ashton telling him to shut up.
“What’s......what’s wrong? Are you ok? I can come back now...”
“Rami.....stop” Joe sounded exhausted, “I just woke up and I have a weird rash on my chest.”
Rami’s felt sick. A range of horrendous ailments entering his head at Joe’s words.
“Is your neck sore?”
“What? No..... why?”
“Meningitis” Rami rambled on “I’m gonna call Jas. Please don’t get up Joey....please.....just wait.”
“Okay” Joe whispered, slightly concerned himself over the level of Rami’s worry.
Rami sat down heavily into his chair. The boys eyes all immediately focused on his pale face.
It was Brendan that unsurprisingly broke the silence, but speaking softly and somewhat uncharacteristically.
“Is he ok?”
Rami’s phone pinged on the table top, as a message came through. Joe had sent a picture of the rash on his chest - Send this to Jas. Might help. X
Ashton’s brow furrowed at the picture.
“Go see if he’s ok please.....I’m worried now.”
Rami nodded “Please can we do this again.... before next year?”
They all nodded, murmuring agreements and adding “with Joe as well.”
“Im gonna head off then…..Joe....he....yeah.” Rami trailed off.
Martin grabbed his wrist from across the table
“Tell him Rami.”
“But what if he doesn’t feel the same?”
“Oh I honestly don’t think that will be a problem” smiled Ashton.
Rami crept quietly up the staircase, not wanting to wake Joe from much needed sleep. His bedroom door was open and Rami could see Joe bundled under his duvet through the now dim light of the evening.
Jas has said he needed to be cooled down to get rid of the heat rash, so Rami tiptoed quietly to the bathroom; leaving another cup of rehydration salts on Joe’s bedside locker.
After wetting a washcloth with cool water, and wringing it out, Rami padded over to Joe kneeling down next to the bed and peeling back the covers.
Rami’s stomach flipped at the sight of Joe sleeping, soft and peaceful. When had this started? When had things changed? Rami wracked his memory. Could you fall in love with someone over the space of 12 years and not realise? He stared at Joe’s sleeping face; he was so handsome, and Rami was taken aback by just how attracted to him he was. Rami smiled to himself, maybe he should take a chance? Joe was everything to him, and Rami was now realising he wanted him to be even more.
“Stop staring at me” Joe’s croaky voice startled Rami into action.
“Sorry.....I.....Jas said you need to cool down...you have a rash cos you’re sweaty. Here.” Rami showed him the folded wash cloth and Joe turned onto his back.
Joe shivered as Rami pulled down the duvet off Joe’s heated chest and placed the washcloth on his forehead.
“Okay?.......there’s more salts for you to take there...” Rami pointed to the bedside locker.
“Oooh yum...” Joe said sarcastically, rolling his eyes and grinning at Rami.
“How you feeling?”
“Groggy....but my stomach isn’t crampy now....so hopefully I can actually sleep tonight.” Joe peered at Rami from under the washcloth.
“Will you stay?........I hate to ask.....but....but..”
“Joe......you don’t have to ask....of course I will....”
“Thank you.....oh! how was lunch?”
Rami sat up against the headboard in Joe’s huge bed and filled him in on all the news from their cast mates, answering Joe’s questions but leaving out one very specific conversation.
“They all send their love....hope you feel better soon.”
“Ashton text me actually....” Joe turned on his side “Said you left early.”
Rami couldn’t look at Joe, he felt his pulse race as he stared out the window at the darkening sky.
“Rami......” Joe’s hand found his and he squeezed gently.
“You’ve always been so good to me...........too good to me......I.......I......thank you.” Joe sat up. He grimaced as his head pounded at the change of position, but crossed his legs and sat facing Rami.
“Joe.....lie down...”
“Why did you come back early?”
Rami searched Joe’s face for any sign that he was messing around. He knew Joe well enough by now to recognise a lift on one side of his mouth that always gave him away. It wasn’t there, his face was soft, open, and as gorgeous as Rami has ever seen it; even with his sickly pallor and bed head.
“I think you know why” Rami murmured.
“I think I know too......but I’ve been really wrong about things like this in the past so......”
Rami winced, Joe had never had much luck dating. Rami had always been there to pick up the pieces with him.
“Joe” Rami wanted, he wanted so badly to pull Joe into his lap.
“You have no idea how much I wanna kiss you right now.”
Joe grinned, his whole face lighting up as Rami ran his hand up his arm; leaving goosebumps in his wake.
“Give me 12 hours and I’m all yours” he murmured as he pulled Rami into a hug.
“Thank you for today......but.....can you sleep in the spare room because I honestly don’t think I’d be able to keep my hands off you if you’re......in here......”
Joe pulled reluctantly away from Rami’s arms, realisation dawning on what he’d just said.
“Uuuh I mean.....I don’t wanna make you sick” he stared at the sheets below him, flexing his long toes.
Joe woke early the next morning , the rain pounding against his window. Stretching, he assessed himself for any stomach or headache and found that he felt much better, not one hundred percent. But better.
Running his hands over his face as he yawned, he sat bolt upright in bed as he remembered who was currently in his spare room and the conversation they’d had.  His body moved without him thinking as he headed to the shower and to brush his teeth.
As the hot water pounded against his back, he let himself imagine what might possibly happen today.  He’d always loved Rami; but had made himself believe they were just really close friends. He never really thought Rami felt the same though, and Joe wasn’t gonna jeopardise their incredible friendship by telling Rami how he felt.
Turns out most of their cast mates on The Pacific could see it a mile away. They were both idiots really; all the heartache they could have saved each other. Although Joe laughed to himself as he remembered that anytime either of them had split with someone, they’d immediately gone to each other for comfort.
It had been obvious to everyone, except them.
Joe knocked quietly on the door to the spare room; it was early and Rami liked to lie in at the weekend, but when Joe pushed open the door he found Rami standing at the window in his boxers. His mouth immediately went dry.
“Uuuuhhmmmm morning...” Joe croaked.
Rami grinned. “You feeling better?” He asked as Joe moved into the room. His bare toes dug into the soft grey carpet, as his heart beat erratically in his chest.
“Yeah....I am....”
“Thank God” Rami interrupted him as he made his way over to Joe and took his hands in his own.
“I’ve waited twelve years to do this......I can’t wait any longer.”
“Rami...” Joe whispered as their lips met and they finally fell into each other.
“Breakfast?…..you feel like you could eat something?” Rami couldn’t stop touching Joe; any part of his body, it was like he’d been starved of it. His fingers were currently skimming the waistband of Joe’s sweatpants where they hung low on his hips.
Joe’s head was pillowed on Rami’s chest, listening to his heartbeat.
“I could eat you?” Joe smiled into Rami’s bare chest, breathing in his scent and nibbling at his nipple.
“Hey!” Rami pushed him away, then pulled his face to his, both hands on his cheeks.
“I want .........god I want you so bad” he pushed his hardening cock against Joe’s thigh, shivering at Joe’s answering moan.
“But when you have your strength back......Jas said....”
“Wait....you asked your sister when we could have sex?” Joe began to laugh “Oh my god......”
“No! Joe c’mon.....you know what I mean......” Rami pushed his erection against Joe again,
whispering in his ear “Just think about how good it will be.....”
Joe flopped onto his back groaning, “I’m gonna need another shower” he added as he pressed down on the bulge in his sweatpants.
Joe didn’t ever think he’d been this sexually frustrated in his life. He’d had a semi all day, Rami only had to look at him and he wanted to bend him over the back of the couch. It was like his cock had now been given permission to  react to Rami. They’d spent all their spare time together the last few years, and he’d never had this problem. His cock was like a dog being finally let off a leash.
Rami sat in his boxers and a t-shirt, Joe’s head in his lap as they watched a cooking show. Joe was snoring softly, his warm breath tickling Rami’s thighs. He ran his fingers through Joe’s soft hair, smiling at what today had brought.
Pulling out his phone he snapped a pic of his hand resting in Joe’s hair as he slept soundly on his lap.
He sent it to Joe’s phone with the caption:
 “I’ve always loved you.”

Might I request: “There is enough room for both of us” & "You're warm" (& I'ma be a predictable binch & ask for Valdo x reader) :3
A/N: Did someone say sick fic? Oh wait that was me. I hope you enjoy this lovely. :)Word Count: 1660Content Warning: Mild swearing.
Silence stretched over the two travelers as they walked down the road, their dappled pack pony plodding placidly between them.
“Remind me again why we bought this beast instead of mounts for the both of us?” Valdo asked, his sharp tenor the first sound either of them had made in hours.
“Because the only thing we could afford two of was donkeys. And you said your dignity would not suffer an ass,” you snapped, rolling your eyes before muttering under your breath. “So instead I have to.”
You weren’t sure what had brought on the mood you were in, whether it was how tired and sore you were from walking or the gloom of the damp, chilly day, or something else entirely, but you honestly worried that if you did not reach the next town soon, you might throttle your companion, no matter how much you loved him.
“Ah yes, I recall now. I still say that horse trader was trying to swindle us. No matter, the market in Vizima will be much better.”
“Only if we ever get there.”
The next thing you knew, you were stopped short as you crashed into Valdo. You shot him a glare, wondering how he had managed to circle the horse to stop short and invade your personal space without you noticing.
“Alright, Y/N,” he said, frowning. “What on the Gods’ green Earth is your problem?”
You sighed. “I am tired. We’ve been traveling for days without sight or sign of anyone else on this stupid road. Everything hurts. My eyes feel like I’ve been rubbing sand in them for fun. There’s a storm on the horizon. And I’m fucking freezing. So can we please keep walking? I’d like to make it to the city before I die.”
Whatever Valdo might have said in response was cut off as you sneezed, sniffling pathetically after. Immediately his cross expression dropped as he reached out to place the inside of his wrist against your forehead.
“Wha…what are you doing?” you asked looking up at the curly-haired idiot like he had grown a second head.
“You’re warm.” He stated as if that was any answer. “Y/N, my darling, why didn’t you say you were unwell?”
You shifted uncomfortably, feeling your face flush. “It didn’t seem to matter that much. There’s nothing to be done but get to town anyway. So can we…?” you made a ‘keep moving’ gesture.
He frowned and then turned to the docile pony munching on grass that peeked up through the stones of the road, shuffling bags around, taking some off and setting them aside.
“What are you doing Valdo?” you asked exasperatedly.
“It won’t be the most comfortable ride, but I won’t have you exhausting yourself and making it worse,” he explained, shouldering several packs.
“It’s a cold, I’m not an invalid!”
“Sundrop, please. Your equine escort awaits. If you won’t care for your own health then do it for me.” He pressed his graceful hands together in a prayer-like pose and gave you that irritatingly irresistible pout. You sighed in defeat.
“You know there’s room enough for both of us.” You said as you climbed up into the saddle, shifting around to awkwardly settle between the various packages on the pony’s back.
“We both know that’s horseshit. Especially with all our stuff.”
You raised an eyebrow at him, or rather at the swear passing his lips. Usually he was lovingly exasperated at your coarse language and not one to use it himself. He caught your glance and shrugged as if to say ‘odd circumstances allow odd behavior.’
“Pony shit actually,” you said with a smirk and another sniffle. “But I guess you’re probably right.”
He chuckled and shook his head ruefully, taking the pony’s reins in hand and leading off down the road at a slightly brisker pace than you had been going.
~
By the time the gates of Vizima came into view, an early night had fallen and the howling wind had both of you pulling fur-lined cloaks close. Your pony’s head was bowed miserably as icy torrents of rain poured from the sky. You shivered violently despite the layers, the chill weather heightening the effects of your fever.
Still, Valdo insisted on pressing inward toward the center of the city in search of “a decent inn.” You had half a mind to start begging to stop literally anywhere just to get inside when he finally found one that satisfied him, The Bee and the Bottle. As soon as you passed into the yard an eager straw-haired boy of maybe seven ran out, offering to take care of your pony, words whistling through the gap of missing front teeth.
You felt hands wrap around your waist, gently lifting you down and then steadying you when your feet touched ground and you swayed. Wobbling with exhaustion and cold, you turned to the child.
“You take good care of Spot here, alright?” you asked ruffling his hair and causing him to giggle. “If you do, I’ll see about sneaking you some sweets before we leave.”
He nodded eagerly at your offer. “I promise, I’ll be extra good to ‘im and make sure all his tack is shiny and clean. You’ll see.”
“And see if you can’t find someone to bring our bags to our room?” Valdo tried to keep the order out of his voice and found himself smiling as the boy saluted him before leading the creature away.
“Spot? Really dove?” Valdo whispered in your ear as he led you into the inn by the elbow.
You shrugged peevishly. “If you had named him when we bought him you could have called him whatever you wanted. I could have done worse.”
~
You sank gratefully into the luxurious bath, letting the road-weariness melt from you and the lightly minty steam work into your sinuses and throat to soothe their sting. Valdo’s fingers worked their way through your hair, massaging your scalp but you frowned, noticing their clumsy motions, no sign of his normal nimbleness. Reluctantly you pried your eyes open and twisted to look at him.
Immediately your eyes fell to his blue-tinged lips and you sighed. Your fingers curled around his wrist and you both gasped at the temperature difference between your skins.
“You’re useless to me if you freeze to death love,” you teased. “Why don’t you get in the water and thaw out?”
“Y/N,” he groaned. “I am supposed to be taking care of you. I can’t just take your bath.”
“I wasn’t suggesting that. There’s room enough for the both of us. Please?” You cast your most pleading expression up at him, knowing that he was weaker to your charms than he cared to admit.
Without a word, he began unbuttoning his damp shirt (having discarded his doublet earlier in expectation of helping you wash). You smiled softly at him before settling back in against the wall of the tub. Moments later, the water sloshed as Valdo slid in beside you, long arms wrapping around your middle to draw you against him. He pressed his lips to your temple, beard tickling where it brushed your face.
“Oh sweetheart, you are definitely feverish. As soon as you’re washed,” he lathered soap into a cloth and began to sweep it over your shoulders and back as he spoke, “we’re getting you straight to bed. I’ll have the innkeeper bring you some soup, and tea. Something herby and probably horrible tasting that will chase this sickness away.”
Valdo Marx was many things, but you knew he was not necessarily the most nurturing of men and the prospect of caring for you while you were ill was daunting. The fact that he was doing it at all was truly special, so you hummed in appreciation for his ministrations, leaning in to his touch and doing your best to comply with his wordless requests for movement until he was satisfied that you had been fully bathed.
As the water cooled to a tepid temperature, he reluctantly exited the tub, gathering up a particularly plush towel to wrap around you, sweeping you into his arms and carrying you to the bed. He gently dried you off and helped you into your favorite nightshirt (which he noted wryly was actually his missing shirt which you had claimed months ago not to have seen).
“I feel the need to remind you,” you said, stifling a yawn, “I am not an invalid.”
“Hush, love. And lay down. Rest.”
A series of violent sneezes shook your body and he found himself torn between fretting over you and admiring the truly adorable noises you made.
You groaned as you recovered your breath from the fit and relented to the idea of curling up in the many layers of blankets that invited you. As you snuggled down, you clung to Valdo’s hand, not letting him get up from his seat at the edge of the bed.
“Stay,” you murmured. “I need you to cuddle me.”
He smiled, soft and longing. “And why is that angel?”
Even as he asked, he shifted the covers to allow him to slip in beside you, curled around you like a cat.
“Because I’m still so cold. And you’re warm.” You burrowed closer, pressing your bodies together to sap as much of his body heat as possible, and he was content to let you.
His embrace tightened around your shoulders and he tucked your head up under his chin.
“Your wish is my command. Try to get some sleep.”
He pressed his lips to the top of your head and you closed your eyes, safe and content. He listened to your breathing for a while, intent for any rasp or stutter in the air, only relaxing when he heard it begin to settle into the slow, steady pattern of sleep.
Just as he was drifting off himself he thought he heard you mumble “I love you” and his lips curled upward blissfully.

(BTS) Golden Lover: Chapter 3
Namjoon x Black!Reader
High Fantasy, Magic, spells, gods and goddesses
Mstrlst in bio!
“Darling daughter?” Mother called.
“Yes?” You replied.
She nodded towards your plate, “Are you not hungry?”
You shook your head and set your utensils down, “Please excuse me. It seems that my sickness lingers. I’ll be turning in early.”
“I’ll walk you to your room, Princess.” Jimin stood from his seat.
“I can--” You began, but Father cut you off. “She’d quite enjoy that. Thank you, Jimin.”
You wanted a shower. You wanted to be alone with your thoughts and smelling salts and a few cats, but no. Jimin chattered excitedly about how beautiful your Egypt was. How warm and humid but irreplaceable it’s beauty was.
“Um, Princess? I couldn’t help but notice how you were during dinner tonight. You didn’t get some bad news, did you?” His voice softened.
The worst, “Of course not. I just...I haven’t had much time to myself today. I’ve been quite busy entertaining the guests, getting to know you all.”
“I wouldn’t lie to your future husband, Princess (Y/N).” He laughed.
You swallowed hard and his smile fell.
He looked down, “I didn’t mean offense, Princess.”
“I don’t wanna marry you. I decided that from the moment I met you.”
“I see.”
You looked at him, “Please don’t be upset.  I just...my father is making me choose a husband within the next two days, before the end of the festival.”
He looked at you, “We leave in three days.”
“Of course.” You sighed. “I just. I don’t wanna lose the throne due to my being stubborn. I want a good king to rule by my side, but I want to love him as well.”
“Marrying for love? You are a special one, princess.”
You scoffed and laughed, “Whatever do you mean?”
“As a royal, I would think that you would have given up marrying for true affections by the time of puberty. Often thinking instead who can help their country or prestige the most. However, you still hold onto the hope.” He looked up at the sky.
“Should I give up hope, though?”
Jimin shook his head, “Never. I believe love is powerful and one of the purest things on Earth. If you were to give up on it, then what would you have left?”
A small smile played no your lips, “You speak our language well.”
“Thank you, Princess. May I ask you a strange question? It’s something both Hobi and I were wondering.”
“You may if you tell me who Hobi is.” You replied with your arms behind you.
He didn’t know you were taking the long way to your room in order to speak to him more, but he spoke curiously. Kind but honest, and you could feel the amount of love he had in his heart. How he gave it to everyone and everything.
“Hobi is our nickname for Prince Hoseok.” Jimin smiled, “Would you like to prepare a dance with us? For the festival send off that is. We’re both proficient in dance, and your father was singing your praises at dinner. It’s ok if you don’t. Even if we cannot work as marriage partners, then I’d at least want to work as friends. Performers.”
“You’d want to dance with me?”
He nodded in ernest. It was true that you were often seen dancing in the square with your body covered in jingling gold. Oftentimes in the middle, you’d stop a robbery or something, but a princess had to know her people to serve them. That was your philosophy at least.
Back to the matter at hand. This Jimin was interesting, very interesting.
You nodded, “So, whose style would we do. Yours or mine?”
“I was thinking a fusion of our styles. Don’t you think that would be the most fitting?”
You smiled for the first time in hours, “I’d enjoy that very much. I know just where we can practice and teach each other the basics.”
This time, the prince smiled so big that his eyes disappeared, “Yes! Thank you, dear princess! Guide me, and then we can meet after dinner.”
Right, you were supposed to be unwell. You led him to the dancing spot in the garden where a stage would most likely be set up. The grass there was just growing back from last time you turned down a marriage. Then you both went to the door in front of your bedroom. As he returned to the eating hall, you snuck away for a quick swim.
A small meow was heard from the sideline, Qasab Alsukar. You told him to stay where he was and not to jump in. He walked to your pile of clothing and laid down in them. It was a stunning starry night. All your worries drifted away as you floated on your back, your twisted hair fanning out around your face.
You thought about the princes and were glad that you had been honest with them. Even if you wouldn’t be getting married to them, you could still be close to them. Having dueled with Jungkook, showed some artistic landscapes to Taehyung, Jimin and Hoseok had become your dance partners, and Yoongi was your fellow animal lover.
He had even asked you if he could take one of the cubs home, and you said yes once they were a bit older. Then there was Namjoon.
Why did your heart do that everytime you thought of him? It pounded in your ears, and you closed your eyes to shut out the sound. It didn’t work. He was gorgeous. His smile made you want to smile. The way he treated a pet that was not his. Qasab Alsukar could’ve been a street cat, but he still showed the kitten the same care as a house cat. Kim Namjoon. (Y/N) Kim. That’d be your name if you were to marry him...or his brother. The way Yoongi talked about his friend, it seemed as though he gave that kindness to everyone.
Mayhaps he’d be a good husband...maybe you did lo--
The splash of a rock to your left startled you, and you turned to see who it was. Your relaxed demeanor turning stern.
“What is the meaning of this?” You ordered before you recognized the person standing there was the man you had just been thinking of.
Kim Namjoon bowed low, “Pardon the intrusion, Princess (Y/N). There was a snake approaching you, and it did not seem you noticed. I threw the rock to hit it or at least scare it off.”
Looking around, you saw a serpent unmoving in the waters nearby. It most certainly would’ve killed you if it had gotten any closer.
You turned to him once more, “Thank...you...”
But he was gone.
Ah! Dinner must’ve been over. You put on your clothing after drying off quickly and then began walking towards the meeting place for you, Hoseok, and Jimin to begin practicing. As you got close to the archway, you realized. Kim Namjoon had seen you naked. Your breasts had been above water. How long had he been standing there silent? You made a note to speak to him the next time you saw him as your cheeks began blazing.
Alsukar mewed at your heels, and you picked him up, “Mayhaps I should get guard dogs since you did nothing to warn me, you little rascal.”
He licked your nose and meowed. Too cute. As you went into the dance room, the three of you and a drummer practiced until morning. None of you wanting to take too long of a break. Wanting to do your best to show unity and friendship and just in awe of how well you worked together and not wanting to break the flow of good energy.
You were woken up by a beautiful serving girl. Bahr. She called your name and said that she was relieved to see you. Groggy, you blinked and wondered what she was talking about. The kingdom had been worried about you and the princes since no one knew where you had gone and they had found a dead poisonous snake in the pool where you were known to sneak off to.
“We were just practicing for the festival. Where’s Iset?” You dismissed her worry with a smile.
“Her room.” Bahr replied.
“I apologize for the worry. Please inform everyone that we are fine. I’m sure father will be happy to hear me interacting with the princes.”
She nodded, “Does that mean you’ll be performing at the festival with them?”
You looked at her, “It does. I’ll be dancing with Princes Jimin and Hoseok. A fusion dance for the occasion.”
She couldn’t help but smile, “Does that mean you’ll be finding a husband this time around?”
“Maybe. I think I’ll have to if I want to be next in line.” You looked down.
Bahr had been here for many years but spoke formally, “Forgive me if I am speaking out of turn, but...I want to see you married. If you do not love your husband, then you can learn how to. Then you and your kingdom will be happy.”
She kissed your forehead and left. Breakfast had been left on a platter by your bedside. You must’ve missed it in order to sleep after dancing for so long. Iset showed up while you were eating and scolded you for disappearing. She called you a cat what with the way you went where you want when you wanted to. She went on and on with her heart on her sleeves and then asked you where you had been after all.
“With the princes…” You said. “We’re planning something for the festival and were practicing all night.”
Iset raised a brow, “For the festival or just for you? Which princes? What?”
You explained yourself and promised it was for the festival, “I’d never fool around like that...at least with nobles.” A small grin crossed your face from memories.
She sighed, “Well, I’m glad you’re opening your heart. Do you have a favorite? One you could at least learn to love once you get wed?”
Namjoon’s stern and focused face appeared in your mind once more. Ugh why him? You shook your head, ans Iset gasped.
“Who?”
“It’s nobody!” You bit into a slice of bread.
She huffed and crossed her arms.
“Fine, Namjoon! I...he’s kind and he’s the one I’m most interested to learn about. I’m lured to him. When I think about him, my heart races and I think about him when he’s not around. I don’t understand. I’m not interested in anyone but him.” The honest words tumbled out faster than you could hold them back. Your began hitting your head. “What’s wrong with me? Why does he plague my thoughts so?”
Iset couldn’t help but giggle as she held your hands, “My dear, you’re in love with him.”
“I...I could never!”
She grinned, “Whatever you say, (Y/N), but I felt this way when I saw my husband for the first time and for days after. Love at first sight is a rare thing, do not throw it away for your stubborn pride.”
“Anyways, are you doing anything during the festival? You’ll be leaving soon afterwards as well, won’t you?”
Your fellow princess and best friend gave a nod, “I am. We’re planning on having our first child and being more serious about ruling our people as a couple and securing the throne. All that joy.”
You looked out and saw Prince Namjoon and Yoongi on their way to the river behind the rest of the boys just talking. Taehyung had a large smile as he walked backwards with a towel in his clutches.
He noticed you and waved, catching the eyes of the others who turned around and did the same until Namjoon bowed. Then they all followed him by bowing as well. You rolled your eyes trying to ignore the glimpse of Namjoon’s smile and the skipped heartbeat it caused. Iset stood next to you as soon as you turned away. She waved as you missed Namjoon’s smile falling once he could no longer see you.
_____
“Namjoon-hyung.” Taehyung called. “Do you have feelings for the princess?”
“No!” Namjoon blushed as Yoongi replied, “Yep. He sure does.”
Jimin piped up, “ I think she might have feelings for you too.”
The prince’s ears perked up, “What? How?”
He disclosed how while he danced with you and Hoseok last night that you asked about him, what kind of prince he was. You had said that you wanted to spend more time with Namjoon but were nervous to approach him.
Hoseok added, “She wanted to know what plant you were talking about when you first met? Apparently you met her before dinner.”
“Ah, yes. In the market. Her father was quite strict and she was walking around without protection. Her cat followed me and...it’s the catnip.” Namjoon cut himself off when he was met with blank stares. “I brought some because I heard there would be a lot of felines here.”
A black cat with a golden ankh necklace rubbed at Yoongi’s ankles, and he picked her up, “At least you were right. I’m glad, too.”
“I’d be a good husband for her. At least, I’d like to think I would be.” Namjoon continued. “She’s cute and I enjoy her personality. I er...saw her in the pool last night...nude.”
The men all stopped and started to ask overlapping questions.
“I’m not telling you anything! I just noticed someone in the water, looked to see if they were ok. It was the princess, and there was a snake coming towards her, so I stoned it before it reached her.”
Jin replied, “Oh, Namjoon-ah! So heroic!” He laughed.
Jungkook smiled along. The boys all talked about how in love Namjoon was with the princess, and he was shy and blushed all through it. The black cat was nearby the whole time. She bathed in the sun and ate a fish Namjoon caught for her.
As a direct son of the King, Namjoon had a lot of land.  A lot of resources but he was not in line for his own throne. That was Seokjin, but the younger royal was in charge of training warriors. Jin was in charge of money. Taehyung was in charge of agriculture. All of them seemed like they were good friends. Marrying just one of them could ensure so much for your people.
All of them knew this, but only one of them could marry you. It was obvious to them who they wanted it to be. Fishermen were nearby, shirtless and wet with strong arms from constantly casting nets and lifting heavy loads of sea creatures for a living. Prince Jimin watched the tallest of them intently, head in his hand.
“I have an idea!” Said Jungkook when everything was quiet, startling the cat and Jimin.
Yoongi smiled at their reactions, “It’s ok, kitten. You should go home now. I’m sure (Y/N) misses you very much.” His eyes gave a silver glow.
The cat meowed, surprised he knew the truth. Namjoon offered to walk her back to the princess, so he dusted off his shorts, threw on his robe, and held the beautiful cat in his arms.
“What’s your idea, Kookie?” the quiet man asked.
“Well, we all know we’re not getting with her,”
“YA!” Exclaimed Jin. “We haven’t even spent much time together. How do you know--”
Jungkook spoke up, “Why do you think that is?”
The oldest stayed silent at that and pouted. So the youngest explained a plan on how to get the two royals together. It would happen the day of the festival. It sounded like a good plan to the other princes. Jin was a bit downtrodden that the princess hadn’t gotten any one on one time with him, but he hadn’t really gotten the chance. He’d try to know her true feelings and from there decide if he’d be a part of Jungkook’s plan.
As Namjoon got closer to the palace, the black cat stayed close to his chest. She was adorable and the Prince thought about asking to keep her as Yoongi had done with the lion cub. Then the cat looked around and began to freak out as RapMon (affectionately called Mon-ie) ran up to his owner. The cat jumped out of his arms and ran as Monie barked and chased her into the Princess’s room!
“Mon-ie, NO!”
A strange flash of light came from the room, and Mon-ie ran out of the room and into his owner’s arms with his tail between his legs. Namjoon then worried for (Y/N) and ran into her room.
“Princess!” He called as he entered.
She looked at him. Princess Iset was there as well. The prince bowed, “Sorry for the intrusion, princesses. I just thought I saw...um. Did a cat come in here? I was trying to return her. Yoongi said she belonged to you, so I came from the beach, I mean river, to--”
“Yes, she ran out the window.” Iset replied, “She’s quite an outdoor cat. Can’t stay in one place for too long.”
She took a slight glance at you, and you blinked and looked around as if you had just returned to your own body, “Namjoon?”
“Yes, princess?”
“Please prepare something for tomorrow’s festival. I want you to show off your talents yourself instead of hearing about them from your friends.”
He blushed, “W-What would you like me to prepare?”
You looked at him, “Do whatever you think will win me over, Princey.”
The man bowed, “Yes, Princess. I do hope you feel better.” He then moved to leave, stopping mid turn. “Oh, right. Catnip.”
“What is it?”
The prince motioned to the plant in the windowsill that had cats swarming around it and soon lying down here and there.
“Cats really like it. The plant that I brought for you.”
“Oh…” You said, looking at the plant then back at him. “Thank you.”
He gave a flash of his dimples as he smiled, “You’re welcome, Princess.”
“I seem to be thanking you a lot.”
“Your presence is all the thanks I need.”
With that, the Korean prince left and closed the door behind him. Namjoon was worried. What could he do to impress the Princess in just over 24 hours? He went to the room that was prepared for his stay. Several cats had fallen asleep on his now relaxed white dog. At least they seemed to have figured each other out.
The prince stood on his balcony and looked out upon the scene before him. Sandy browns and tans that matched his golden skin helped to contrast the green of trees and blue of the ocean. Darker browns of people dressed in whites and gold popped out here and there. Namjoon wanted to write. He grabbed a notebook from his luggage and began writing, his hand struggling to keep up with his mind.
He wrote about Princess (Y/N). Her black twists like snakes around his heart. Snakes he loved, the tail of a cat. The ears as well, perking up to every creature. No. No. It was so messy. So unclear. It matched his mind. He was never good at showing his feelings towards those he was attracted to. Then again, it was a rare occasion. The last time he fell in love with Princess Wheein, and she was married off and sent away without him knowing.
They spoke through letters until she had her first child. That was years ago, but it still stung from time to time. Her sister was currently pursuing Taehyung, but everything had been put on hold for this trip, this chance to marry a foreign Princess. More beautiful than any of the words people had used to describe her.
Namjoon took a deep breath and remembered her in the market. That tattoo on her list. Remembered her at dinner that same night. He wasn’t sure why his heart hurt when he saw her conversing with his friends. Like when she and Taehyung were leaving to go on what he later found out what was a boat ride on the nearby river. It was for his little brother’s artistic inspiration. The deepthinking Prince recalled how his heart soared when, one by one the boys announced that she had only wanted friendship from them.
The word was on the tip of his tongue. The only logical explanation for his feelings. Love. But it couldn’t be. There was Wheein. There were all the girls at home and...he didn’t feel like this towards any of them. Not since he had seen (Y/N).
Before his eyes flashed the woman floating in the pool after she excused herself from dinner. She had seen so upset during the meal, so he was glad that she was smiling with her face towards the stars. His heart did a funny little tingle.
Prince Namjoon began to write once more.
Is this love Is this love Sometimes I know Sometimes I don’t The next line What should I write? So many words are circling me But I don’t like a single one I just feel it Like the moon always rising after the sun Like nails growing, like trees shedding their leaves When winter comes You’re the one To turn my recollections into memories Before I knew you My heart was only in linear motion
Yeah. That was a good start. It was the truth about his feelings. This was what he’d perform for the Princess at tomorrow’s festival.

but omfg so we were talking abt injured en dwi and so let's say like... he's kinda cut off from his powers for like, a few weeks, is v weak and generally just unwell and in a little pain. so they're holed up in the guest room on knowhere, and loki just... spending all his time at the grandmaster's side, making sure he has enough to eat and to drink and keeping him entertained and Not Moving and just imagine him visibly SICK with worry, punching taneleer at least twice, and sleeping in a chair
The laughter, weak though it is, is raucous and strangely energetic - and gut-twisting when it drops into a wracking fit of coughs. Loki starts towards the bed--but he’s smiling, and even finishes with another weak laugh, even as he falls back on the pillows again and turns a head--too languid! too rolling! too lifeless!--in Loki’s direction. His grip on the god’s forearm is weak, weak for him, hardly what a Æsircould call up, but somehow worse is the heat.
Loki would have sworn En Dwi Gast was a fire that could never go out, but even now, hot to the touch though he was, he was no longer of the same unbearable temperature that blasted through the universe in the Big Bang. He was a burning star at best, going nova on a good day, but that was lukewarm by comparison.
“Hah!, kit - kitten! You shouldn’t, uh - an-antagonize ‘im like that. He, uh. Won’t throw me out, but - you? You’re, uh. A. A different matter.” Loki’s pale hand pulls away, the lilac mess upon it bubbling elegantly off and into the air: he won’t soil En Dwi, not now. He drops his own cold hand onto En Dwi’s on his arm, raises both to kiss those beloved fingers.
His cheeks are gaunt. His eyes are sunken. En Dwi looks hale and hearty by comparison, but Loki knows the truth.
And here he thought he would never so intimately experience the death of the universe.
“Uh-uh,” that warm voice says tightly, sternly, and Loki’s eyes flick up in fear. “None ‘a’ that.”
“Sorry?”
“None--,” En Dwi starts, but he’s cut off by a sharp inhale, his hand spasming on Loki’s forearm, pain wracking through him. Seiðr spools out from Loki’s fingertips at the first sign of it, but he finds that even now, his power is as an insect’s before En Dwi’s. The Elder stops the flow of his power with only the firm press of his thumb, and Loki is forced to reel it back for fear of upsetting him further. En Dwi presses his head back into the pillows and breathes raggedly, heavily, body shaking, though he never lets go of Loki’s forearm.
None of that, says En Dwi’s voice, though his lips do not move. Loki’s own quirk up in a small smile.
Telepathic. Why did you not tell me? Loki seats himself on the bed beside the Elder, sensing his need for proximity: the bed hardly depresses at all as the air above him takes on his weight instead, far enough away not to disturb the Grandmaster.
You, uh. Hah! You never asked. His voice in Loki’s mind is as it always was, strong and warm and indulgent, and in his mind’s eye is it difficult not to conjure an image of the creature himself sitting sly-eyed across from him, legs crossed, cheek in hand. Good. Remember me like that, kitten.
You fear I would remember you any other way? he asks, pushing down his other fear, the question of why he would need to remember him in any way.
No, of course not. “You’re, uh. Too smart not to,” En Dwi finishes out loud, and he beckons weakly with his other hand. Loki leans down and lets that hand tangle affectionately in his hair, lets those still-warm lips take his in a hungry kiss, and does all he can not to liken this to love.
To lose another love would destroy him.
