In chemistry class today we used Jia and Li's ✨magic death mushroom beetle glitter✨ from To Sir With Love.
(Actually it was trans-dichlorobis-(ethylenediamine)-cobalt (III) ion. Or [Co(en)2Cl2]+ as it's called for short. No, I don't know what most of that means either.)

probably many others I haven't seen

I'm watching my anatomy professor's prerecorded lectures on the heart, going over very basic heart anatomy, and he keeps saying things like, "if you're ever in the operating room with an opened thoracic cavity you can orient yourself by the aortic arch," and "if you're going to be doing heart surgery you need to know how to recognize the coronary arteries."
And like jesus fucking christ i would certainly fucking hope you know these things and a lot more before performing heart surgery. Is he imagining us finishing this class, wandering into an operating room and someone handing us a scalpel? "Be prepared, just in case!"

I've finally got so I intuitively understand which one is which with catabolism and anabolism! Thank you to everyone who helped explain it :-)
Next goal: integrate my understanding of the terms "oxidation," "reduction," "oxidizing agent," etc. deep into my bones, so I don't have to go around muttering OIL RIG and waving my fingers about tracing the paths of imaginary electrons.
