and people desperately trying to ruin a ship for others because they do not agree on it is just insanity to me. again, kaveh and others are pixels, they aren't real and you can headcanon them however you like and kaveh (or any other character) likes you because of you, you can write them how you want and imagine them how you want 🙇🏻‍♀️ if anybody actually gets mad at this they automatically confirm to me that they do not have other things to worry about besides fighting over a pixel in a video game that should bring joy and comfort and a way to escape from real life struggles at least for a little while 💓

I should add poledancing to the list of odd talents that Akira has but has no business having due to growing up in a small suburban town. I only had access to it bc i had a YMCA that had a MASSIVE gym (in a criminally underfunded part of the city); there were poles put up alongside some other structures to allow counselors to make up some shit for us to do lmao

Hes got a flair about him; speaking from experience, it is FUN to do gymnastic shit like that, and its really really REALLY good for ur core. Other things on the list are basic gymnastics (he hates that shit tho, the classes he took sucked ass), Parkour (loves this; less about running and more about utilizing ur core and bracing for falls), and Knife Flipping/Spinning. Theyre all odd things that coincidentally ended up being VERY good experience for the metaverse :) YEAH the metaverse makes it easier to pull off tricks, but he already knew how to do all those things; you cant get Ryuji or Yusuke to spin kick off a pole wo having them fall and bust their ass- Its ALL skill babey

what a fantastic transition

#as much as i absolutely adore LT with all my heart there are no cartoons out there that give me such a CONSISTENT sense of raw visceral joy #than the Fleischer Popeyes #they are the epitome of fun. that’s such a vague word i know but i think it perfectly encapsulates these cartoons #not too gaudy or self absorbed. despite the fantastical nature of some plots and the gags and visuals there’s a down to earth humility as #well. it owns its simplicity very well. hearing that ‘30s jazz reach a climax as the visuals and gags and tactility and emotions get #stronger and faster in the climax of these shorts literally #gives me goosebumps! it’s an adrenaline rush #i also adore Olive Oyl. i mean i love them all. Bluto is the greatest cartoon asshole of all time. i love the nobility of Popeye. but i #really love that Olive gets to be just as loud and mean and weird and ‘ugly’ as the rest of the guys. she can throw a punch too. she’s not #just there to look pretty or be coquettish. she has a really natural charm and doesn’t feel forced like ‘oooo look at the cool LADY #participating too!’ which i feel is an issue with cartoons of both the past and present #she’s just another facet to these cartoons without calling much attention to herself and i really like that and wish there were more #like her #popeye #seasin’s greetinks #kneitel #vid #the lack of regular woman characters outside of thin tropes in golden age cartoons doesn’t bug me as much as it really should #because as a kid i was so used to watching ‘boy’ cartoons and connecting with ‘boy’ characters (i thought liking girl characters would make #me ‘girly’) and so it’s something i’ve always been sort of used to #but with that said Olive is one character i feel very strongly about and am glad she exists for those reasons #i don’t know why i’m getting so deep on this 10 second post? but anyway you should watch Popeye if you haven’t

Sitting here rewatching good omens and ofmd as my parents see it for the first time and just having a complete uncontained joyful smile that I almost never have otherwise over these silly little middle aged gays who I have seen the stories of a dozen times

#idk about you guys but i find something deeply poetic in the fact that godfather and bottoms are like. in the same convo #rwrb got pushed to 10th place when i remembered that i did actually watch the godfather trilogy this summer #hate to give a coppola some credit but the godfather is a classic for a reason #it even kept my mum (the jane austen addict who hates blood and violence) invested and awake for the full run time #marry me with jlo and owen wilson got pushed down to 11 when i remembered die hard asdfghj #the ones who got away (2023 releases) are joy ride and scrapper. and aftersun. and past lives #if i have to pick a fave it's rye lane #it was just so iconic in every way #the script the visual story-telling the characters #the peckham of it all #also quite funny how obviously i gravitate towards a movie of colour #like. white people can make great art and i'll likely get to it #but i've spent a whole lifetime seeing those movies and now i'm gonna go out of my way #to make sure i watch all the movies of colour that interest me #polite society and they cloned tyrone and rye lane really just tick all the boxes for me #in terms of like. sci-fi/magical realism within the plot or the visual choices #i really mourn the lack of attention they got but i also know neither of them got a cinema release in sweden #and neither of them got any kind of substantial promo in sweden #so i can only assume it's a similar deal in other places #tragically enough

i can't really get over this shot of kas tbh it doesn't help that my computer keeps showing it in the photo tab when i press the windows button in the corner

#i think kas's peak in life is all the years between starting the cult until he gets infected #during that time he's you know. obviously a bad person he kills people and stuff #but he's very. idk expressive and theatrical and treats all of it like a play and he's the star #he's very charismatic is what i'm trying to say but then later on he's just #very numb to all of it killing isn't fun anymore obviously life becomes pretty mundane in a zombie apocalypse #even when you have a cult to run like #he does briefly remember what life used to be like but has lived in the apocalypse for the majority of his life #and i imagine it's kind of at a point where there's no hope for humanity the people who still live just get by #eventually everyone's going to be eradicated and kas has lost the joy of the only purpose he had #not to mention he's you know. slowly turning into a zombie so his future is neither bright nor long lmao #the only time he really expresses any emotion at all is when preaching about him becoming a god or whatever but deep down #he knows that isn't the case it's all just a fantasy to him #he doesn't stop being a terrible person though if anything he gets worse because he's seeking out the thrill it used to give him #and when it doesn't he gets angry and tries even harder and it becomes this cycle. you know #until tristan kills him

#jessamine rambles #before i start. pls keep in mind that this is fully subjective and could just be a 'me' problem. i just want to get this off my chest #ngl i've been contemplating on whether i want to stop playing obey me. both the og game and nightbringer #idk i've been playing the game since its first month and while it's given me a lot of joy + memories + chances to befriend other ppl. i'm #pretty burned out. not to mention TIRED of my consistent disappointment with the game #the main story.....where do i start?? i actually enjoyed s1-s3 despite my qualms with the fillers and pacing but s4 disappointed me. i was #rlly looking forward to simeon's storyline and the new characters but ultimately. the devs tried to squeeze too many things into one season #not to mention that there is a notable difference in how the characters are written. i.e. beel's hunger and asmo's beauty #being watered down to running gags instead of the complexities explored in the old dg stories and chara songs #gameplay-wise. i was there when the devs raised the rewards price of the event urs and removed the demon ssrs completely #but nightbringer was the last straw for me. the amount of time it takes to grind for two games. knowing that the og app has essentially bee #abandoned by the devs?? not to mention that while the plot is interesting. i haven't touched the main story ever since the coma arc #i will give credit to the devs for improving the event stories by choosing to focus on 1-2 demons. but it has always felt like a quantity >#quality situation. esp if i were to compare it to my other fandoms #it also doesn't help that i'm currently at a point of my life where i'm questioning if i could use my time on obm for better things #seeing how the game is giving me less reasons to believe it is worth my time #idk this may also be a short-term phase since i DID get back into twst after a long hiatus and i recently got into whb #which btw has felt like a breath of fresh air despite my frustrations with the bugs and current gacha #but yeahhhh........as much as i love the obm characters and fanfics. i'm just tired #at this point i feel like the only reason why i still play the game is due to the nostalgia and so i don't waste the years of grinding #aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh #this is what i get for being the type of player who only plays a few games so they can rlly dedicate their time and passion to it #that's all
