uh hey gang. it’s goth dyke Trixie and Katya here to bring you a VERY overdue episode about illness and disability in Part 2 of our Angels in America episode DROPPING TOMORROW AM ON SPOTIFY APPLE PODCASTS ETC!
We’ve got a lot of reading this week, from revisiting Angels in America to Susan Sontag to Eli Clare. We’re exploring metaphors of illness and cure and how they work in Angels in America and in the Black Parade.

confession..... i think the "when people try to define your sexuality" gerardtweet is actually about people telling him hes gay because of the stage stuff. since that happened on twitter literally constantly. NOT him accidentally (????) coming out as unlabeled queer after saying hes straight in interviews for 20 years. like it had never even occurred to me to read it that way until i saw some random post claiming hes not straight and using that as evidence

do not fear! the tweets are still up! if you scroll back through their account it stops at january 2016. you have to use the date ranges in twitter advanced search to find tweets before this. hope this helps!

as a hard of hearing person i misread your typo’d tag on the gerardtweets reblog as “i American Sign Language this” anyways i thought that was kind of funny and you’re an icon to me now
