For all of his bluster, after Stede and Ed had started to break down his walls, Izzy is greedy for affection, when he can allow himself to have it, much like a stray cat who once bit and scratched and now rarely seen outside of their owner’s lap. When he sees Stede laid out over his mattress in a banyan, Israel absently thinks inviting, and then he's moving, barely thinking it through.
He pulls off his shoes and hefts himself onto the bed, crawling up between Stede's legs.
" Report, sir, " He says, and he stretches out and lays his head on Stede's chest. " Weather's good. We're due to reach Tortuga in three days. "

"Here's the thing, Izzy," Stede hissed, his lip curling with disdain. "I don't really give a damn if you like me or not. The only reason anyone finds you even remotely intimidating is because you're Ed's little lap dog. And unfortunately for me, that means I have to put up with you." (Stede in denial that he actually likes the little gremlin?)
Izzy forced a sound through bared teeth. Anyone without an ounce of perception or self-preservation might have mistaken it for a genuine laugh. He trusted Stede fuckin Bonnet knew the difference. And hoped he didn't.
"Here's the thing, Bonnet," he rasped through clenched teeth, "my job is to please my captain. And his pleasure is that I take tea with you and behave myself. And so I will. I have always been attentive to Ed's pleasures, and always will be. He quite likes it that way, I can assure you."
He sat at Stede's table, sprawling in the chair as disrespectfully as he could. "How do you take your tea, sir? Sugar or no?"

When people usually think of Ed, they think of Blackbeard, obviously, the big bad pirate captain, scourge of the seven seas. And if anyone was asked of his skills as a captain, he's sure they'd talk about all the stories, or his fuckeries, or his tactical genius or something.
Honestly, captaining's a lot more than that. It's taking care of the people under your command, so when Stede shies away, even though it's subtle, Ed catches it. Can see that he wanted to say something and then didn't. He doesn't want Stede to feel like he has to hide anything from him, ever.
" Hey, " Ed says, requesting his attention, tilting his head to the side and keeping an open posture. “ Talk to me. ”

this was a little new to him, ed was usually the one bottling up his emotions, hiding from his past and the things that hurt him, burying those thoughts and memories deep within him where no one would see, holding them under the waves until they drowned.
❝ ... well, you’re the one who’s always advocating to talk things through so... if you think it’ll help, you can talk to me? ❞ he offered.

Edward’s scowl that had formed on his features was mixed with confusion. He started replaying every word that had left his lips throughout the entire day for something that could have upset Stede. Or maybe it was something unrelated to him but he should have caught onto it and should now know just what to say to cheer his mate up. Bugger. He wasn’t all that great at this shit.
“Fuck that, mate. I’m bothering. Well I mean it’s not a bother, but let me bother,” he stumbled through that a bit, wishing he was better with words at times. “Care to tell me what’s going on with you? I dunno. I might be able to help,” he said with a shrug, looking away like it was a bit embarrassing to sound like he cared too much. It was a habit he’d have to break.

Israel's gaze is only slightly suspicious, but more so observant, darting across Stede's face looking for any signs of a lie or falsehood, any sort of reason to think that Stede isn't telling the entire truth. He holds Izzy’s hands like he worthy of being held gently, like he is something to be valued and not broken. Izzy waits for a reason not to trust him.
There isn't one.
Is that acceptable, Mr. Hands?
Izzy doesn't answer with words. He pauses, and one could watch the suspicion fade from his eyes, replace by something just as calculating, but softer, curious. Izzy slowly slides his hands to cup Stede’s cheeks and takes a hesitant step forward, like he’s waiting for the moment to break, waiting for something wrong to happen, waiting for the world to steal this away like it’s stolen everything else. It doesn’t.
“ It’s Israel. Or Izzy. “ Fuck. He’s terrified, all of a sudden, heart beating loud and fast and nerves in his chest and his stomach, and he’s not sure he can do it. There’s still a part of him that’s waiting for a switch, for the rug to pulled out for under his feet, for Bonnet to say no I don’t want to kiss you. He can’t. Instead he huffs out a frustrated sentence, pretending it’s Bonnet’s fault.
“ Are you going to kiss me, or - ? “

”You fucking idiot- would it kill you to be careful so I don’t have to worry about your safety all the time!?” (Stede to Izzy @gentlemnpirate )
Iz is covered in sweat and a little blood (not his- his reflexes are too quick for that). Sword not yet sheathed, he turns to Stede, running his free hand through his own damp hair. The battle rage has subsided, leaving a faint ringing in his ears, hunger, and thirst.
He would take care of his own needs when he's seen to the men, though. And Ed. And... Stede.
"Not now, Stede, I have to-" and then he stills, hand still in his hair. His eyes shift to Bonnet, wide with surprise. Stede was swearing at him?
No, not at him. About putting himself in danger. Which, actually, was his fucking job, Stede. Which Ed understood. Ed wouldn't yell at him in front of the fucking crew about being careful--
Stede was worried about him. His cheeks flushed hot, and he took a sharp breath, forcing himself to sheath his sword. To look down at his own hands so he's not looking at Stede.
"M'alright, Bonnet," he answers, voice a little gruffer than normal. "Wasn't but a little skirmish, and the day my life is at risk from useless fucks like that, s'the day I stop bein a pirate."

Ed imagines he can hear Izzy's jaw fucking chafing, teeth scraping teeth, bone against bone. Ed has been violent, monstrous in recent days, burying himself in Blackbeard, the only part of him anyone's ever wanted. He'd cracked hearing of Stede's death, sunk deeper when he thought he'd already hit the bottom, Izzy had to save him from himself over and over and over.
And he'd thought Stede had hated him. And maybe he does. But he'd also thought Stede was dead, Izzy had said so, even though it felt wrong - Ed couldn't find a cause of death, though he searched for one - couldn't manage to Stede's home and risk seeing him written all over the world around him again.
He's had to stay violent, terrible. Or he'd just be fucking sad and alone.
But Stede says he missed Ed, and he shreds through all of that shadow like the fucking sun, and Ed is bare again, shrouded in light.
" You were fucking dead, " Ed says, his voice high-pitched and hoarse, something tight in his throat that he's almost choking on. There are tears gathering in his eyes. There usually are these days. He's so tired of crying that it hurts as they start to fall, his eyes burning. His hands are shaking - he's shaking, his entire body full on trembling. He wants to bury himself in Stede, but he can't. Can't risk him leaving again.
He crumbles, instead, gloved hands covered in dirt and grease paint and blood and sweat and tears reaching up to grab Stede's wrists and hold his hands against his face like he’s a fucking life line.
" You fucking fuck. Fucker. I'm so fucking mad at you, " Ed sobs. He's never felt so unstable in his life. His fucking knee is going to fucking give out. Fuck.

"No one tells you when you get stabbed how difficult it is to bandage."
blackbeard was no surgeon, but he had seen enough injuries, and dealt with his own, to know a good amount about how to deal with them. he knew how to clean and dress a simple rapier wound, at the very least.

I am an avid gardener and I love growing my own food and then cooking amazing meals with what I've grown.

I've been roleplaying since I was young, way back on Neopets. Of course I had a wonderfully cringe mary-sue OC, and I also wrote Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter. I graduated to roleplaying on Omegle, Chatzy, email, and eventually Tumblr and Discord. My longest running blog is this one, I've had it since 2013, but I also have a long-running Charles Xavier blog at @voicesiinhishead, my multi-OC at @griefgifted, Five Hargreeves at @apocalypsejumped, and my latest obsession, Stede Bonnet from OFMD at @gentlemnpirate.

I 100000% have a type, and it is tragic, misunderstood hero. I'm drawn to muses who are often ostracized by their communities, told they aren't good enough, but who try hard to be "good", whatever that means to them. The Doctor is a prime example of this; shunned by his own people, turned war criminal, but tries to be "a good man". Or my main OC Raegan, who lost her parents at a young age and was manipulated into becoming a weapon for a doomsday cult, but now tries to make amends and build a life for herself. There are exceptions, but as a rule, if I see me an misunderstood hero character they will be mine.
——— FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT! ♡
FLUFF : Fluff is wonderful. I love exploring relationships, the soft moments between two characters. It's doubly as good when it immediately follows angsy.
ANGST : I loooooove angst and my partners can attest to this. I have been dubbed "evil" more than once lol. BUT, I love angst when it has a resolution. Hurt/Comfort is my jam. Sure, let them fight, let them cry and hurt, but let them heal and deepen their relationship for it. With most of my muses I strive to let them heal and grow, often beyond the limitations of canon. Angst is often a big part of that.
SMUT : I enjoy smut, but with certain people. It's not the act itself I'm about, but the emotion and connection and growth that can come from it. The romantic aspect, the muses learning about themselves and their partner, showing love and affection, often in ways they've never been given a chance to before. I usually only write it on Discord, though. Rarely on tumblr these days.
PLOT / MEMES : I love memes, and will often wing it and build a thread out of them. Plotting has its place too, though. Especially if I have a specific goal in mind for my muse.
