Brook had a team of music loving Pokemon. They all died together. When Brook's soul returned to his body, he found a group of ghost Pokemon on the ship. Their devotion to Brook and faith in his return granted them second life as ghost types. Even after 50 years together, ghosts still spook him.
He made a promise to return to a baby Wailmer, which is now a ginormous Wailord.
This is just my opinion and for fun!!!
Kricketune is Brook's oldest companion. He takes great pride in his moustache. He became a Jellicent after death. He can no longer make music with his arms, now he conducts.
Chatot is a tea enthusiast so he wasn't displeased when he became a Polteageist. Though he greatly misses his mimicry ability, he finds a new joy in hiding in Brook's tea.
Maractus loves to dance and make music with her body. Now a Gourgeist, her body produces eerie wailing when she dances instead of joyful maracas.
Altaria loves perching on Brook's afro. She still does as a Drifblim but her ever floating body tends to carry his light body away. Her hums were once beautiful, now they sound like a whisper carried by the wind.
Primarina was the pearl of the Rumbar pirates. Her songs would match the atmosphere perfectly. As a Froslass, her once heavenly voice is haunting and blood-chilling.
Jigglypuff is a shy singer who can only sing when everyone is asleep. His once gentle voice that gave sweet dreams now causes nightmares as a Gastly.

Day 4 - Redesign
For this prompt I decided to redesign some old OC ideas from a few years ago! The Clefable is named Jovial, and the Gengar is named Jolly! (He's not actually a Mega Gengar, but he does seem to have a third eye like one...)
I was inspired by the way @gastly-tea and @toxapex-zone draw their Gengars so please give their Gengar OCs some love!

Please tell us, what DOES need to happen for us to become ghost types when we die?
Alright, alright. Okay. I am by no means an expert, but as a Pokémon Researcher and part-time Ghost type enthusiast, here’s what I’ve got. To become a Ghost type when you die, do the following - or to avoid becoming a Ghost type when you die, don’t do the following…
Die in the same room as a cold cup of tea (Sinistea and subsequently Polteageist)
Die as a result of inhaling toxic gases (Gastly, Haunter and Gengar)
Take great joy in frightening and/or being cruel to people in life (Misdreavus and subsequently Mismagius)
Die in an extremely cold, icy environment (Froslass)
Live a thoroughly evil and unrepentant life (Spiritomb)
There are others, but these are the most thoroughly researched ones I could find.
Yamask of course mostly originate from human spirits, and it’s a hot topic of scientific debate as to why only certain human spirits turn into Yamasks after death, so I can’t tell you exactly how to avoid (or have) that. Current research points to dying with a lot of regrets or unfinished business being a potential factor.
Drifloon also commonly come from human spirits, but since they are quite difficult to get a hold of there hasn’t been much research into them yet. Their frequent use of the move Amnesia also makes it difficult for Psychic type questioning of the Drifloon to give any real answers.
Now of course, some Ghost types can’t originate from human spirits at all (except in very specific cases, which I can elaborate on in a separate post if folks are curious. Shuppet (and consequently Banette) do not come from human spirits; rather they are the paranormal manifestations of the grief or ill-will an abandoned doll or toy may have towards a careless owner. Other Ghost types that almost never originate from human spirits include Mimikyu, Alolan Marowak, Shedinja, Greavard… Honestly, it would be easier and quicker to list the Ghost types that can originate from human spirits.
So, in conclusion, unless you’re absolutely awful in life or die in highly specific circumstances… you’re probably fine @pokemonprofessorintraining.

ghost friends :)!
so first we have the pumpkaboo… there’s 9 of them here… i think they’re siblings because they all stick together. there’s 4 males and 5 females. they seem very young and i believe all of them are normal-sized except one of the females is smaller than the rest of the group. they’re very quiet and shy. they can’t be released into the wild because they’re too young, but they’re otherwise healthy.

next we have a yamask. she’s missing her clay tablet. she would be a non-battler. she’s very energetic and talkative, and she really likes scary movies. due to the absence of her tablet, she’s gotten attached to a small rock. she’s physically healthy but issues might come up later because of her lack of a typical tablet

next up is a friendly little sinistea. they’re antique form. they’d make a very good battling partner, personable and full of energy. they lack the swirl pattern that’s typical for their species, for an unknown reason, but that doesn’t seem to affect their health for the most part. they’re very happy to offer you tea, but unfortunately that’s not a very good offer to take… sinistea tea doesn’t taste very good. they really like spicy food. their ability is weak armor.

last, we’ve got a gastly. he’s blind, and pretty shy. i couldn’t get a good picture, but he has eyes that look normal from the outside. he’s not a battling pokemon. like all gastly, he’s made of poison gas. he’s very quick to make friends with other pokemon, but isn’t very friendly with people.

For this reason, it is believed at the moment that there may be a reveal of a regional variant of Sinistea and its evolution
A second community tab post was made a couple hours after the fannouncement

[Video attached. It starts from in front of Basil as she stands on the porch, leaning over the railing, a mug of what's probably tea in her hand. She lifts it to her mouth to take a long sip of it before looking back at Porypory filming her.
"There he is." She vaguely gestured to the left, where the trail back to Icirrus started. Porypory back up and turned around to show, for a moment, a Pokemon Ranger approaching with a female Unfezant behind her. Basil's voice spoke from behind: "... She is? That one's different. Whatever."
She took another sip of her tea as Porypory turned back to her... is she still in her pajamas? It's not the Gastly ones this time, but an oversized Banette-themed sweater PJ top.
"Hey!" The ranger called over, lifting her hand to wave. "You're the one dealing with the Pokerus outbreak, yea?"
"... I mean. It's more of the woods' problem, isn't it?"
Ranger rolled her eyes, fixing her hat. "Either way. There's been a bit of a bump in the road with containing it- according to the rangers stationed here, it just keeps cropping up in wild Pokemon at random. The only popular unaffected so far seems to be the Zoroark."
"You think about putting up a fence're some shit? Actually keep people out? Would probably work better than a sign in the fuckin' city gates."
"... Sign in the- what do you mean?"
"You didn't... there's a fuckin'- a thing? running in the one at least out by Opelucid, last I checked?"
Ranger paused for a long moment, before grabbing her hat and tossing it at the ground with a hissed "Shit!" Her Unfezant picked it up, following her as she turned to leave, poking some buttons on her XTranciver. "What dumbass--"

Need, Blood, and Idol for Sotis!
Link to the OC asks here and welcome to today’s episode of ‘How tragic can Sotis’ life get?!’ starring a special guest, @gastly-tea’s Kyrell!
Need: Sotis spent his childhood desperate for the other gods to accept him, as they heavily disliked him due to his mother being the former Godslayer. It pushed him to do a lot of things to earn their approval. Suppressing a lot of his negative emotions, especially his anger, so he would be pleasant to be around; ignoring how they spoke about him poorly and pushing himself to be of assistance to his mother with the balance of life and death, even as a young teen, are the three main things he did.
Needless to say, this has had a lasting impact on Sotis - unless he is 100% comfortable around you, he defaults to masking as calm or cheery, as well as still having issues with needing those he perceives as an ‘authority’ over him to like him.
It took Sotis a long time to realise the other gods would most likely never change, something that was a very bittersweet moment. He was upset over the fact they would most likely never change, and that all his effort was for nothing, but it was also oddly freeing; he no longer felt the need to impress them anymore, their judgement held no weight to him - a much needed realisation, for sure.
Blood: It would take something very important for Sotis to consider sacrifice; despite their people-pleaser nature, their mothers have tried their best to raise them to know it is not wrong to prioritise yourself, a teaching they have mostly took to heart when it comes to their own survival. His mothers would not let them sacrifice anything for them, and they have no cause they are devoted to. However, there is one person whose wellbeing they prioritise at all costs; their close friend, Kyrell.
Sotis would be the first to admit they would never sacrifice their life for Kyrell - it simply doesn’t make sense. As a half Yveltal, their death involves killing everything around them, and then a recovery period to heal and revive - if they sacrificed themself, all they’ve managed to do is kill themself, Kyrell, and likely quite a few innocents too. However, they would very willingly sacrifice someone else’s life for Kyrell, despite their personal view of ‘all life is equal, no matter what.’
Other things are very much on the table for Sotis if it means Kyrell is alive and safe - losing their powers, or never being able to see him again, both of those are worth it as long as they know Kyrell is okay. They would even sacrifice what little reputation they have with the other gods - earning their approval is important to them, but Kyrell is so much more important to Sotis.
Idol: Sotis is very used to people looking down on him, having dealt with it for the majority of their life, from both other gods and mortals.
The gods dislike him due to his mother being the Godslayer, unreasonably assuming he is going to end up a lot like her. As a child, he was desperate to prove to them he was good and earn their acceptance and praise. As an adult, he has come to terms with the fact that they don’t like him, and doesn’t interact with them anymore - he does hold a mild grudge against them, but other than complaining to friends, he doesn’t act on it.
The mortals have the legend of the Red Decidueye, the one who brought their world to ruin by murdering the gods. The actions of the Red Decidueye, as well as the legend, have caused the majority of the remaining Pokémon to dislike Decidueye, with those with red leaves or feathers being judged the worst.
At best, they view red Decidueye negatively, waiting for them to harm others. At worst, they are scared or angry enough to attack and kill them. Sotis learned this the hard way; when he started exploring the world as a teenager, he did not know how prevalent the legend was, or how seriously mortals took it.
He makes sure to avoid mortals in his world now.

[Mystery Gift notification:
You received two mystery gifts!
The first is a Gastly doll addressed to Tix. The doll has a veil of lavender tulle around the body, mimicking a Gastly's cloud. The doll faintly smells of vanilla coffee.
The second is a Sinistea doll addressed to Olivia. It has a small tea tag hanging off of it, embroidered with "Earl Grey". The bottom of the doll has another tag, right where the antique sticker would be. The tag reads "Authentic Duo Dolls - Handmade in Unova."
The attached note reads:

THIS IS SO PRECIOUSSSSSSSSS???? I've only seen weird Ghastly plushies that are either completely made of plush and just a weird purple blob with a face printed on, or a black ball. This is so amazing? Wait... does it smell? Olivia, does it smell or am i imagining this?
Hm, no. I think it does have a smell to it. I am not sure what it is? Maybe Vanilla?

“You know.” They're not looking at him. They’re looking out at the ocean. One of their giant gastly float next to them — as a warning. “I thought for a long time that you ruined my life. But it’s only cause you tried to turn me into sashimi that I met people who made really good things happen for me.” They take a sip of their boba tea. “So really, you didn’t mess up my life. It’s cause if you that I’m Fuckin amazing right now.”
"Then you should be thanking me, no? If I made your life so great and made you so amazing, then give me praise for it."
There's a disgusting smirk on Jax's face all throughout their conversation so far, hands in his pockets and gaze also watching the water. He can assume that Ree wants revenge or something, so isn't standing too close to them while also being a slight bit out of sight behind, head dipping forwards. Oh he's amused.
"And yet, do remember that I do not kill. So I would not have let that happen to you. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Better that it happened to you than anybody else though, yes? No matter who I came across first, they were going to get hurt. All because of Guzma and his fickle little friend. So you can blame them if anybody."
