Chrysalis purred, looking up to Twilight from the dining hall floor. She lay on her shell in a come-hither pose. Her lips curled behind her fangs into a coy, playful smile. "And just what do you think you're doing, my little pony?" Queen Twilight chuckled, eyes narrowed, wringing her hooves with mischievous menace. "Opening my Hearthswarming present, of course."
Tumblr media
A shiver of excitement buzzed through the chitinous plates of Chrysalis's body. "And what makes you think that you have the slightest notion of where I'm keeping your present?" Magenta light snaked from Twilight's horn and curled around the changeling queen's limbs. Chrysalis's snake eyes went wide as the coils gripped her with an alicorn's strength. "Because you always keep my present in the same place." Chrysalis gasped in excitement as the coils of magic gripping her extremities pried and pulled, stretching her out like the petals of a blossoming flower. Her normally commanding voice quavered as her pulse quickened. "But Lilac-" she teased, batting her eyelashes "it's Hearthswarming... and we aren't even beneath the mistletoe..." She looked to the rafters above them and paused at a surprisingly strange sight. Tied securely to the festive garlands circling the room was a familiar artifact of Equestrian History. Her eyes narrowed and her fanged smile took on a inquisitive flavor as she pondered the gleaming silvery curiosity. "We're beneath... the platinum horseshoe of Setzer Gabynako...?" The priceless treasure had belonged to the most famous gambler of pre-tribal pony history. History described him as something between Daring-do and the Flim-Flam brothers, a dashing rogue of legendary exploits and prowess in all his lurid endeavors. The horseshoe had been securely locked away in the royal museum. When did Twilight sneak it out? How? Had she prepared it in place all for this most intimate moment between them? Twilight regarded the ancient artifact. The azure chrome token reflected brilliantly like a diamond. "Mnhmmm." She returned her gaze to Chrysalis's prone, splayed form. Her shallow, deliberate wingbeats slowed, lowering her closer to her wife like a spider approaching her ensnared victim. The magical bindings flexed like corded steel. Her smile had become a leering smirk worthy of Applejack at her most cider-driven passion. "But don't we need mistletoe for Hearthswarming, my love?" Chrysalis pleaded. Twilight drew close. The puffed up crest of her chest-fluff glided across the chitin of Chrysalis's barrel. Twilight purred as she nuzzled around the pitmarks of Chrysalis's long, serpentine neck. "We would only need mistletoe if I wanted to kiss you." She softly touched her lips to the wound-like marks. "But I want... to get lucky." Chrysalis erupted in the strangest horny laughter of all her ancient existence. That was either the worst wordplay she'd heard in ages or the most unbelievably clever and erotic wordplay she had heard in an eternity. She almost voiced her question when she suddenly had to bite her lip to silence a moan as Twilight chuckled and began gnawing at the nape of her neck. A nearby fire crackled with dozens of rows of tiny stocking-socks framing it, all filled to the brim with candies and treats. The hive mind was at rest, their drones slumbering peacefully. Their larvae were all nestled, snug in their creche. Dozens of lovingly decorated boxes awaited their changeling children beneath several nearby trees. The mothers' work was done. This was the time for lovers. And the lovers happily did as lovers do.

Brin's machine dreams in Horizon Zero Dawn
Acquired Taste is one of my favourite little sidequests in HZD. Since Brin clearly made it to the Forbidden West and was heading to the place of flames and brine", I'm really hoping we'll see him in the Burning Shores DLC so I thought I'd upload a transcript of his dialogue with Aloy, for anyone who wants to refresh their memory of the best Banuk desert gremlin and his prophecies!
Transcribed from this Youtube playthrough of the sidequest.

INTRO
B: Tribal girl! You are a hunter. Machine hunter. I can smell it on you — their oils and fluids. Your hands are stained. Can I just scent your fingers—?
A: Uh, no.
B: Of course not, no. Forgive me. My head – it’s addled. Heavy with the taste of metal, and lightning, and prophecy. Do you dream of the Metal World, huntress? That’s what you Nora call it?
A: The ancient world?
B: Yes. You’ve almost touched it. You hunt the machines, strip the parts, reach into the guts – let the sacred fluids run out! Spilling away into the earth, wasted. Open your mouth to insight. Drink up. That’s what I did. I am Brin.
A: Uh, yeah… Looks like it. Those wounds: A Sawtooth gave them to you on the hunt, didn’t it?
B: Not just any Sawtooth. Not just a hunt! I was low, quiet, in the long grass. Spear at the ready to bring it down. Then the scent — the taste — of its blood overcame me. I pounced, wrestled it down, bit into it – so close! A shiver through my teeth as they ground along the wires! But its teeth won out.
A: you’re lucky to be alive… I think.
B: Until the wounds mend, flower into scars, only my mind can wander. But… why not trade, huntress? You bring me the blood, I tell you what it reveals.
A: You really want to drink the blood of machines?
B: I heard tales of a tribe from the land where the sun goes at night. They were suckled from the machines — no, it’s true! Took wisdom and strength from it, grew closer to them! And then the tales go dark. A whole tribe, disappeared.
A: Maybe because they all died? Drinking machine blood can’t be good for you.
B: First, it made me sick. Then came to visions, for days and nights – machine dreams, huntress!
A: You’re Banuk. Is this… normal for your tribe?
B: My tribe? No tribe! The other shamans said: you’ve drunk in the machine spirits’ madness. They said: this is not the way of things. Stripped me out on the ice and left me to die. Said: that’s the way of things. Cold unending.
A: They cast you out. But you survived.
B: Perhaps. I remember the chill pressed in slow, spear-tipped. Tallnecks gathering, their great dark heads over me, like a garland! Then I was walking again – walking back to my once-tribe. To return is to be forgiven, but I kept on walking. No one stopped me.
A: These dreams you have…
B: You’re curious. Good. It will give you a long life – I wish that for you, that’s my blessing. Now we’re sworn. I’ll tell you how the visions began.
B: All is silence. The sky is dark. I gather up the world and peel it back, expose the ancient metal beneath — like skinning a rabbit. It’s warm to the touch, warm as the sun. Pressed against it, I feel sound! My heartbeat is the thunder of titans rising. Machines bigger than mountains — stronger, too! The Metal World carried on their shoulders.
A: I’m not sure I like these visions of yours…
B: They’re an answer! But to what questions? I must know. I’ll share…?
A: It’s been… interesting. But I should be on my way.
B: Roam far, huntress. And remember, the blood is precious! To me, yes. Good hunting at the Ridge of the Veils – if you fell a Sawtooth, bring me what spills, won’t you? Not enough metal in the rainwater, not for my taste.
A: Or maybe too much.
Sawtooth dreams:
B: Huntress! You brought me the blood of the Sawtooth. Yes. I smelled it a hill away.
A: Don’t make me regret it.
B: Wait here. It takes time, and the visions… are strong. No matter what you hear – what screams – keep your distance.
A: Starting to regret it.
B: Before the time of the Sawtooth, the machines ran as one pack. Metal drumming on metal, keeping pace out to the lightning's edge. The rumble of low storms, that’s them in motion. And then, a confusion. Something has changed. The great direction breaks, splits off like a dead branch! They are tumbling now. When they recover, violence is what they know. Now, metal screeches on metal. A death dance, learned from wars before our eyes learned to see. The Sawtooth, the Ravager, they hunt in the long shadows of others. Jagged shapes, old shapes, with bloody eyes. And the machines no longer rise and swell as one thing, an all-thing.
A: You’re quite the storyteller. But what’s it mean?
B: The meaning is not for me to say. Only what I saw.
A: And you saw all that?
B: Yes. Doesn’t it make you wonder? The machines that drive other machines mad — Corruptors. It’s their venom. I must taste next.
A: Do you have any idea what that could do to you?… Oh. You’ve drunk it before. Of course you have.
B: I found fallen ones on Coiled Canyon’s cliffs. Under the sun, it boiled inside them. The vapour — intoxicating!
B: [if you talk to him again] You don’t fear knowledge – you reach into its flame!
A: It's always an experience with you.
B: Change comes, it rushes, huntress! Like time around an arrow.
Corruptor dreams:
A: So did you smell this blood coming? It stinks.
B: The richest is not always the sweetest, huntress. In the jungles of a Jewel, fruit grows, but reeks of spoiled meat. Taste it, though: honey to the tongue! [drinks corruptor oil] No, this is disgusting.
B: These corruptors never belonged to the herds. They crawled. From beneath desert or rust, from the bones of old machines. Sickness to spread. That’s how they came. Cold metal runs hot, buckles with thorn-cuts and tail-stings. A fever of obedience. My ears are ringing, I grasp at my tongue — an ingot falls out, stamped with circles and lines! Directions. Instructions. To break a machine’s will — I heard the metal screaming, huntress! I leave the ingot where it falls. This isn’t for us to know. Corruptor after Corruptor tramples it in their greedy tread.
A: That is how they work… kind of. How do you know these things?
B: It’s not what I know, huntress. It’s what the blood knows. Am I the singer, or the song?
A: I don’t know what you are. Maybe get some rest.
B: No rest when there’s unknown journeys to prepare for. Do you know of the hidden machines that hunt men, deep in the Jewel?
A: Stalkers? Yes, I know of them. Oh. Stalker blood next? Sure, why not.
Stalker dreams:
B: It’s a clever trick they have. No need to see what you can scent! This blood is sharp, huntress, flint-sharp! The last time I took it into me, they say I slept the sleep of death, and sweated dark oil.
A: All right. Try not to die.
B: A Stalker, watching us, watched by us! In red eyes, I thought to see ourselves reflected! No – they were dull, and set. Set with a purpose, precise from their machine-mother foundries. They prey. They will not flinch. They are indifferent to the wild, they are…final. They are weapons, that’s all. My heart drops. Why look for understanding in the axe the moment before it splits your skull? No. No, there is more. The axe does not remember its smelting. These machines do, and pine for the Metal World.
A: It’s hard to know what to make of you.
B: Then open my mouth and look inside. A cave of echoes and memory, but not my own.
A: I mean, you’re tough-skinned, I’ll give you that. Especially on the inside.
B: I first drank at the spring of a fallen Thunderjaw. The cables cried out like water birds! But felling giants is short work for you.
A: Trying to appeal to my pride?
B: No! To the inevitability, huntress! The tremor of their tread – can you feel it? Tugging you to the eastern valleys?
A: So a Thunderjaw next, huh? But of course.
Thunderjaw dreams:
A: I hunted that Thunderjaw you asked for. I should be the one telling the story this time.
B: You carry it with you. Beamwire-burns and bruises. The salt-lines of your sweat. See, on your skin – tiny metal flakes!
A: You mean it was a hard fight? How perceptive.
B: What signs you have shown me, huntress! But now the blood.
B: I followed red trails through a green world. Thunderjaw, striding with the majesty of an old god. These wicked parts, fashioned to kill men – this great whole, made to haunt the sleep of children. And I realize: it is a young beast. It was not there to see the first strange birds roost upon a metal skull! It came because of us. Hunters. I saw many, of tribes gone and yet to come. I even saw you there, fiery-haired, fierce, bare—
A: What?
B: Bared of metal, huntress! Bared of what we tore from their hides to be strong like them, savage like them. We built our world in the machines’ shadow. Called them out with every strike of rock and hammer.
A: You think something – some machine made the Thunderjaw because of us?
B: When you’ve tasted what I have — in the blood, there’s change. Such a change. It’s colder than Ban-Ur, hotter than the Carja sun!
A: Does any machine walk or crawl that you haven’t drunk from?
B: In the mountains north, the Stormbirds. Even the air in their passing crackles with potency. In the sweep of their eyes, they see all!
A: Don’t get too excited. I’ll get Stormbird blood — maybe. We’ll see.
B: They must know how the orbit slows, feeds, falls, decays. And yet, returns to more than zero.
A: Uh-huh.
Stormbird dreams:
A: Maybe I’ve spent too much time with you. I can almost feel the lightning in this.
B: And the taste of metal, striking sparks along a sharpening stone, lingering! Here, touch it to your tongue—
A: No, that’s your thing, not mine.
A: You look… startled. Are you okay?
B: I must leave. You should, too.
A: Without a story? I brought down a Stormbird—
B: You did. You’re very able. And you’re right, owed is owed. But no more stories of the past – all told! All done. Future stories. I saw an onrushing storm. The future comes hungry, for men and machine. It will catch me, I expect. Catch us all! So enough hunts, enough visions. I’ll run – chase that teasing sun to the Forbidden West.
A: I don’t understand – I mean, not that I ever understand – but are you saying we should fear what’s coming?
B: Oh, yes. Jungle on fire. Machine-blue light dying out in the eddies of ashes. You, fallen, pale as snow-flash, eyes staring open. The Metal World, but not the one I sought! The future is a frightful dream, huntress!
A: My name is Aloy.
B: I grew fond of you, your curiosities and disbeliefs, Aloy. If you weather the storm, look for me. I’d like that.
A: Where? In the west? In the storm?
B: In dreams, yes.

India Against Ghandi :: A Legacy Rewritten Ramachandra Guha
India against Gandhi — a legacy rewritten Seventy-five years after his assassination, the ‘father of the nation’ is a problem for Narendra Modi — but the country still needs his ideas
Just as Russia now officially despises Sakharov, so Modi's India hates Gandhi and lauds the man who murdered him. Ramachandra Guha: Born in 1958, a decade after Gandhi’s death, I grew up in an atmosphere of veneration towards the Mahatma. One of my great-uncles helped to edit Gandhi’s Collected Works; another founded a pioneering initiative in community health inspired by Gandhi. These familial influences were consolidated and deepened by the public culture of the time. Gandhi was the father of the nation, the leader of the struggle for freedom against British rule, whose techniques of non-violent resistance had won admirers and imitators across the world. It was largely because of him that we were free and proudly independent, and it was largely because of him that — unlike neighbouring Pakistan — we gloried in the religious and linguistic diversity of our land. In our school assembly we sang a 17th-century hymn that Gandhi was particularly fond of, which he had rewritten to reflect his vision of the India he wished to leave behind.
Hindus saw God as Ishwar; Gandhi’s adaptation asked us to see him as Allah too. And it was to these lines that our teachers drew our particular attention. The first criticisms of Gandhi that I remember encountering were in a book I read as a student at Delhi University. This was the autobiography of Verrier Elwin, an Oxford scholar who became a leading ethnographer of the tribes of central India. Elwin knew Gandhi well, and at one time considered himself a disciple. In later years, while he retained his admiration for the Mahatma’s moral courage and religious pluralism, Elwin became sharply critical of Gandhi’s advocacy of prohibition, which he thought damaging to tribal culture (where home-brewed alcohol was both a source of nutrition and an aid to dance and music), and of his exaltation of celibacy, which Elwin thought damaging to everyone.
In Amritsar in 2006, members of the Congress party place garlands on a statue of Gandhi to mark the anniversary of his birth Elwin’s strictures were mild, even timid, when compared with those of the Marxist intellectuals of Kolkata, whom I encountered in the 1980s when beginning my academic career. These scholars identified with the Naxalites, a band of insurgents who were inspired by Mao Zedong and who vandalised and destroyed Gandhi statues wherever they found them. Books were written arguing that Gandhi was an agent simultaneously of the British colonial state and of the Indian capitalist class; non-violence was presented as a cunning device to wean the masses away from the revolutionary path.
I had many arguments with my Marxist friends about Gandhi. I sought to persuade them that his adherence to non-violence arose out of a disinclination to take human life. I asked them to give Gandhi at least the qualified praise that Mao himself had bestowed on Sun Yat-sen, the first president of the Chinese republic, as creating a rudimentary national consciousness on which was built a superior socialist consciousness. On these subjects my interlocutors at least talked back, but our relations came to breaking point when I chose to focus my own research on a forest protection movement led by Gandhians, which the Marxists dismissed as a bourgeois deviation from the class struggle.
Those debates with Marxists shaped me profoundly, personally as well as intellectually. Yet recalling them here perhaps conveys a whiff of antiquarianism. For now, in the 2020s, the main attacks on Gandhi in India come from the other end of the ideological spectrum. For the past eight and a half years, the Hindu right has been in power in India, and Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence and his commitment to interfaith harmony are anathema to it. While he is still officially the “father of the nation”, with his birthday a national holiday and his face on the currency notes, the public mood has turned hostile to Gandhi. To understand why Gandhi is increasingly unpopular in his homeland, one must go back to the circumstances of his death 75 years ago. Gandhi was murdered on January 30 1948 by Nathuram Godse, a member of a secretive paramilitary organisation called the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Founded in 1925, the RSS believed — and still believes — in the construction of a Hindu theocratic state in India. Its leaders and cadres insist that demographic superiority and the Indic origin of their faith makes Hindus natural and permanent rulers of the land. They have a particular suspicion of Muslims and Christians, on account of the fact that their religions originated outside India and their sacred shrines are outside India too.

Hi! 4, 7 and 16 for the MC Asks!
Thank you so much for the question! Sorry it took so long for me to get to! I hope you're having a great day! I'll be answering all these questions for my fan apprentice, Bakuli :) Ask prompts are here. My inbox will be open for these asks (and any others) for a while.
4. How did you choose their name? Does it have a specific meaning? If so, what?
Bakuli's full name is Bakuli Björnsdottir. I wanted her to be of Prakran descent on her mother's side and Southern Tribal descent on her father's, so I selected a name that could combine them both. Bakuli is the Hindi/Marathi name of a small white flower often used in garlands in India. I thought it was a pretty name. Bakuli's last name is similar to Lucio's (his being Morgasson -> Son of Morga). She is Bakuli, Daughter of Björn. Though Lucio's name is derived from his mother's, I had Bakuli's surname derived from her father's so that she could have pieces of both of her culture in her name.

The Bakuli flower :)
7. What's their design? Do they have a reference sheet? What made you choose that specific color scheme/fashion style/etc.?
I'm working on refining her design yet again! But for now, this is what she looks like and here is a mood board/some more info on her. I really like the color purple, so I wanted to incorporate a lot of that into her fashion sense. Her magic is also very celestial based, so a lot of her outfits/accessories are themed using stars, moons, suns, etc...
16. Are they an early bird or a night owl? Something else?
She is an early bird! Morning is Bakuli's favorite time of day. It's quiet and peaceful and she can get a lot of her work done, including setting up the shop, tidying up, and practicing new spells! She and Julian can also get some quiet time together, since Lucio sleeps in and we all know how disruptive he can be haha.
Again, thank you so much for the ask! I truly appreciate it :)

Scotus Review
Here's a list of SCOTUS' terrible recent decisions, many of which you probably hadn't heard about: -Rivas-Villegas: SCOTUS reversed the lower court to give a cop qualified immunity for using excessive force; (courts love to give cops every possible out) -Tahlequah v. Bond: SCOTUS reversed the lower court to give a cop qualified immunity for killing a man; (like the previous one, this may be somewhat justified, but it is not in the public interest for cops to have qualified immunity!) -Shoop v. Twyford: SCOTUS made it harder to get habeas relief; (a death row inmate can't get neurological testing to help challenge a death sentence, you know because we only punish instead of trying to figure out what happened) -Brown v. Davenport: SCOTUS made it harder to get habeas relief; (it doesn't matter if you were shackled in court, as if that wouldn't affect the outcome) -Shinn v. Ramirez: SCOTUS made it harder to get habeas relief; (the supreme court doesn't care if there is exonerating evidence, you don't get to use it in your appeal!) -Zubaydah: SCOTUS allowed the Govt to withhold information about torture on CIA black sites; (heaven forbid the world find out about CIA black sites that the world already knows about. Disgusting); -Vaello-Madero: SCOTUS denied Social Security benefits to residents of Puerto Rico; (in case you thought that PR was something other than just a colony of ours!) -Cummings: SCOTUS disallowed recovery for emotional-distress damages in civil rights lawsuits; (anti-discrimination laws are gutted because people discriminated against can't sue for emotional distress caused by the illegal discrimination) -Patel: SCOTUS stripped federal courts of jurisdiction to review fact issues in immigration proceedings; (oh, you messed up on a drivers license application? No do-overs whatsoever! You know, because filling out a form incorrectly means you can't live here!) -Biden v. Missouri: SCOTUS blocked a federal vaccine mandate; (we live in a hell world full of morons) -Garland v. Gonzalez: SCOTUS denied long-detained immigrants' access to a bond hearing, and specifically limits immigrant's ability to use class-action to sue the gov't (it's now easier to keep our concentration camps full) -Johnson v. Arteaga-Martinez: SCOTUS denied long-detained immigrants' access to a bond hearing; (gov't can keep people in border concentration camps without even a bail hearing) -FEC v. Ted Cruz: SCOTUS struck down campaign finance restrictions to enable Ted Cruz to pay himself back for loans he made to his own campaign; (awesome) -Egbert v. Boule: SCOTUS further limited a person's ability to sue federal officers (Bivens actions); (Ahhh yes, what we needed, more power for cops) -Vega v. Tekah: SCOTUS weakened enforcement of Miranda rights; (a good first step to removing any rights is removing the requirement that you be reminded of those rights) -Carson v. Makin: SCOTUS undermined the Establishment Clause, forcing states to fund private religious schools; (no more separation of church and state, the churches get it all, babyyyyy!) -Kennedy v. Bremerton Sch. Dist.: SCOTUS undermined the Establishment Clause, allowing football coach to have public/publicized Christian prayers at football games; (your coach can make you pray!) -Denezpi: SCOTUS recognized tribal sovereignty just enough to allow a Native American defendant to be prosecuted twice for the same crime (no double jeopardy), (instead of our constantly-fucked-over Native American population getting a measure of sovereignty like they are supposed to, under the Constitution, they get double fucked) -Castro-Huerta: SCOTUS undermined tribal sovereignty by making tribal land "part of state" and allowing state to exercise jurisdiction on tribal land; (more of the above, absolutely wild) -Bruen: SCOTUS struck down NY's 100yo restriction on concealed carry to expand 2A and limit gun restrictions; (everyone join your local "well-regulated militia"....) -U.S. v. Texas: SCOTUS allowed Texas's "bounty hunter" antiabortion law to go into effect; (I'm sure there's no way that private enforcement of an issue such as abortion (when just about anything counts as an abortion) will backfire) -Dobbs: SCOTUS overruled Roe & Casey, eliminating the federal right to abortion and enabling severe (life-threatening) restrictions on abortion to go into effect; (unreal, but not unexpected) -West Virginia v. EPA: SCOTUS undermined the EPA's ability to regulate emissions and fight global warming (the thing that they were made to deal with) (aaaaand boom goes the dynamite)

Opera Omnia Burst Themes 1/?
With Opera Omnia shutting down, I decided to make a few posts about one of my favorite parts of the game: The Burst Weapons. Not because they were a powerful, much sought after weapon tier that gave big numbers with massive benefits, but because I have a love for Final Fantasy music, and what BTs I wanted was strongly dependent on what song would play when used.
These posts are meant to be more for the sake of archiving what there had been more than anything else, but at the very least I am going to list a large number of great FF songs.
The first listing will be the songs that we had gotten during the game's lifetime.

Day 127
December 7, 2022
There were no inspections today, so we were still on inspection report writing duty. I was mostly done, so I emailed off one of my reports for criticism and worked on some origami.
We had an online tribal sensitivity training starting in the late morning. There were numerous technical and connectivity issues, so I barely understood anything for the first half hour. The transcript wasn’t great either, but that’s to be expected.
The rest of the afternoon at with was devoted to decorating our office cubicle. A teammate brought the mini tree and the Santa pickle, and I added the origami. I’ll probably make some paper ornaments or shell garland, but it’s good for now:

24-year-old woman tonsured, dragged to jungle on panchayat diktat in Jharkhand
A 24-year-old tribal woman was thrashed, garlanded with shoes, her head tonsured and was left to die in the jungle by her family for refusing to marry a man of her their choice.
Tumblr media
RANCHI: A 24-year-old tribal woman was thrashed, garlanded with shoes, her head tonsured and was left to die in the jungle by her family for refusing to marry a man of her their choice. The torture meted out to her was under the diktat issued by the Jogidih village Panchayat in Palamu. She was later rescued by the police from the Selari jungle of Tarhasi village and admitted to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital.
The woman’s parents had died eight years ago and she was living with her brother and two sisters. The marriage was fixed at Manika in Latehar by her elder sister who is already married. “They were forcing me to get married. And when I refused, they beat me, tonsured me, and dragged me into the jungle after parading me with a garland of shoes in the village,” said the woman.
According to villagers, the woman was to get married on April 20 but the ‘baraat’ returned after she refused to do so. Under pressure, she ran off to her sister in Latehar and was later brought back to the village by her cousin brothers after 20 days. The villagers were under impression that the girl was in love with someone and hence was refusing to get married.
“After her return, a Panchayat was called on Sunday. This time they were forcing her to tell her lover’s name, but she kept silent. Annoyed with her silence, the panchayat then issued the diktat,” told a local villager requesting anonymity. The girl then spent the night in the jungle under a ‘mahua’ tree and was spotted by the cattle grazers in the morning, he added.
Police said that the girl has been admitted to the hospital for medical examination and process of FIR has started on the basis of the statement recorded by her family members. FIR, however, was not registered till late in the evening while this report was being filed.
“A hunt for those involved has been started after identifying them,” said Gulshan Gaurav, office in charge of Patan police station. Some scar marks have also been found on the girl’s body including private parts, which is also being investigated, he added.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia 5th Anniversary Special Draw Banner
As part of the celebrations of the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game’s 5th Anniversary, the 5th Anniversary Special Draw banner just showed up.
Tumblr media
This banner features the 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, Force or FR, and Burst or BT weapons of all the chars that have been released up through January 25, 2023.
You can only pull once on this banner unless you pay to be able to draw again.
This special anniv banner will let you do a free 50+1 multi-draw and you’re guaranteed to get at least one Burst weapon from this pull.
Since this banner includes so many weapons, the chances of getting something good here are pretty slim. This is especially so since I already have a lot of the weapons featured here due to pulling on their debut banners.
Tumblr media
Plus, I have been playing this game for a long time already. We also get lots of free first multi-draws on various banners for one reason or another. And I tend to toss tickets on lots of different banners since we always get a lot of them.
Anyway, the point is that while it’d be nice to get new weapons from this banner, it’s unlikely to happen. Still, I’m hoping to be able to get new Force and/or Burst weapons. But if I’m gonna get a dupe FR, I’m hoping it’ll be for the ones that I haven’t fully limit broken yet.
5th Anniversary Special Draw Banner 50+1 Free Multi-Draw Results
My free pull on the 5th Anniversary Special Draw banner gave me -
Well, before that, a Burst orb showed up first.
Tumblr media
When I tapped on the screen, a lot of gold orbs and one Burst orb showed up. The animations that played out were pretty cool.
Tumblr media
Too bad I wasn’t able to take screenshots of all of these animations since they went by pretty fast.
The items I got were displayed 10 at a time except for the last group which also displayed the +1 a.k.a the guaranteed Burst weapon.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the first 10 weapons I got were all crappy dupes. Didn’t even get a single Ex, LD, FR, and/or BT. Bleh.
Tumblr media
Papalymo Totolymo’s (from Final Fantasy XIV) 15cp
Gilgamesh’s (from Final Fantasy V) 15cp
Llyud’s (from Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings) 35cp
Cid Highwind’s (from Final Fantasy VII (#ad)) 35cp
Agrias Oaks’s (from Final Fantasy Tactics) 15cp
Papalymo’s 15cp
Rude’s (from Final Fantasy VII) 35cp
Zidane Tribal’s (from Final Fantasy IX) 35cp
Vincent Valentine’s (from Final Fantasy VII and Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII) 15cp
Oerba Yun Fang’s (from Final Fantasy XIII) 15cp
Tumblr media
The next 10 weapons included a Force orb so was hoping to get something new.
Tumblr media
Instead, I ended up with a dupe of Dorgann Klauser’s (from Final Fantasy V) FR. Sigh.
Tumblr media
Well at least my first copy of this hasn’t been limit broken at all so this dupe isn’t entirely useless. Still wish I had gotten something new instead though.
The other weapons I got from this group were also all dupes. Bleh.
Tumblr media
Krile Mayer Baldesion’s (from Final Fantasy V) LD
Ultimecia’s (from Final Fantasy VIII) 35cp
Jack Garland’s (from Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin) 15cp
Faris Scherwiz’s (Sarisa Scherwil Tycoon from Final Fantasy V) 35cp
Terra Branford’s (from Final Fantasy VI) 15cp
Cloud of Darkness’s (from Final Fantasy III) 15cp
Ceodore Harvey’s (from Final Fantasy IV) 15cp
Sabin Rene Figaro’s (from Final Fantasy VI) 15cp
Selphie Tilmitt’s (from Final Fantasy VIII) 35cp
Tumblr media
The third group of weapons were all dupes of 15cp and 35cp weapons. Didn’t even get a dupe FR, BT, LD, or Ex.
Tumblr media
Shantotto’s (from Final Fantasy XI) 15cp
Xande’s (from Final Fantasy III) 15cp
Eiko Carol’s (from Final Fantasy IX) 15cp
Paine’s (from Final Fantasy X) 35cp
Ultimecia’s 15cp
Strago Magus’s (from Final Fantasy VI) 15cp
Yang Fang Leiden’s (from Final Fantasy IV) 15cp
Deuce’s (from Final Fantasy Type-0) 15cp
Eight’s (from Final Fantasy Type-0) 15cp
Cid Highwind’s 15cp
Tumblr media
The fourth group of weapons included a Force orb. Once again, was hoping to get something new.
Tumblr media
Alas, it just wasn’t meant to be. This time, I ended up with a dupe of Rinoa Heartilly’s (from Final Fantasy VIII) FR. My Rinoa is fully built and maxed out so this dupe is useless to me.
Tumblr media
Well, I can sell it for some resources but still. Wish I could have gotten something new instead.
Once again, the rest of the weapons that I got from this group were all dupes and more dupes.
Tumblr media
Jecht’s (from Final Fantasy X) 15cp
Deuce’s 35cp
Hope Estheim’s (from Final Fantasy XIII) 15cp
Maria’s (from Final Fantasy II) 15cp
King’s (from Final Fantasy Type-0) 15cp
Locke Cole’s (from Final Fantasy VI) 15cp
Barret Wallace’s (from Final Fantasy VII) 15cp
Eald'narche’s (from Final Fantasy XI) 15cp
Xande’s Ex
Tumblr media
The last group of weapons gave me the following dupes:
Minwu’s (from Final Fantasy II) LD
Freya Crescent’s (from Final Fantasy IX) 15cp
Sherlotta’s (from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time) 15cp
Quistis Trepe’s (from Final Fantasy VIII) 15cp
Squall Leonhart’s (from Final Fantasy VIII) 35cp
Yuffie Kisaragi’s (from Final Fantasy VII) Ex
Jack Garland’s 35cp
Zell Dincht’s (from Final Fantasy VIII) 15cp
Jack Garland’s 15cp
Jack’s (from Final Fantasy Type-0) 15cp
Tumblr media
The guaranteed Burst weapon that I got belongs to Kam'lanaut from Final Fantasy XI.
Tumblr media
The good news is that this is new for me. The bad news is that I don’t really like Kam’lanaut so have no intention of upgrading his Burst to Green or BT+ 3/3. Ah, well. At least I have his BT in case I ever need it or something.
Tumblr media
Overall, I hate the results of this pull. Wish I could have gotten more Force and Burst weapons. But ah well. At least this multi-draw was free. Hopefully, we can get more pulls like this in the future.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
So, what about you? What did you get from your free 50+1 multi-draw on the 5th Anniversary Special Draw banner? What do you think about this banner? Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions by leaving a comment below or by reblogging or replying to this post.
