OCs DESERVE BETTER -> Jackson & Daniel "Danny" Prescott (The Walking Dead)

Jackson and Danny grew up with parents who could have cared less about their two children, especially after their father up and left when Danny was barely two years old. Jackson primarily raised his younger brother, sometimes being driven to do extreme things to get money - things that eventually catch up and land him in juvie, where he is assigned King County Sheriff Department Officer Peyton Myers as his parole officer. Having had bad experiences with law enforcement, he is expecting her to be like everyone else - only for her to surprise him by caring. Enough that he opens up about why he seems to be in and out of juvie - it's all for the sake of his younger brother. When an ex-boyfriend of their mother's shows up and gets violent, Jackson grabs Danny and runs to Peyton's, knowing with his record he'll be the first suspect if things take a turn of the worst and not trusting the justice system, he goes to the one person he thinks he can trust.
Instead of Peyton, however, the brothers end up at her neighbor Nico Sanchez's house, who is visibly confused and concerned but still invites them in and calls Peyton, who immediately calls dispatch to the Prescott trailer. And Jackson's worst fears are confirmed: the boyfriend got too violent and police immediately think Jackson did it. But with Peyton and - to his surprise - another King County Deputy on his side, the investigation turns to the ex-boyfriend. Knowing that even though he's 18 and the only blood family Danny has left that the court will never give him custody, he begins to put a plan into place where Peyton or even Nico could adopt Danny while he gets his life together.
Knowing he did what he could and that Danny was under temperary guardianship of Peyton, Jackson takes a job in Atlanta that will also pay for room and board... just in time for the dead to rise up. Frantic, he tries to get back to Danny, but finds both the Myers and Sanchez home are empty. Jackson just survives, hoping to one day reunite the Danny... until he gets found and later recruited by a group calling themselves 'the Saviors' and their leader, Negan.
As for Danny, since Peyton wasn't home, he ran to Nico's house, where the man grabbed him and ran, the two protecting and looking out for each other until they found sanctuary in a small community called 'Woodbury' that seems to be a utopia to the hellhole the world has become. Still, he knows Nico doesn't trust the place, though he also knows the man only stays for Danny... and that the man is ready to once again grab Danny and run.

Mimi's Mini Plot Bunnies!
So, a few days ago the lovely @daughter-of-melpomene messaged me and wanted to know more about my boy Sean here after seeing his Pinterest.
And I thought I would do so by doing a little mini-info post about him!
Meet Sean Carter!
So! First off Sean is going to be paired with Rock Grimes and Daryl Dixon, a poly pairing of course!
Sean used to be a soldier, a combat veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq before getting a serious leg injury during the war. Because of this injury, Sean was honorably discharged and had to go through multiple surgeries and physical therapy.
During his time at physical therapy and recovering from the surgeries, Sean was staying at the hospital. Sean usually kept to himself since he didn't have a great relationship with his family and the friends he had, died in the war.
One day, Sean met a young boy, Carl Grimes, who was visiting his father who had gotten shot while on the job as a police officer. The boy was obviously upset since his dad was in a coma and was unsure if he would ever talk to his dad again.
So, Sean spent time with the kid. trying to distract him from the adult problems he was going through. by playing cards or just drawing things.
The boy's mother, Lori, seemed to appreciate Sean's help and always thanked him for being understanding and helping her son.
But then things decided to take a turn for the worse when the news started to talk about a virus outbreak that seemed to make people attack.
It was only chaos from there, the boy and his mother stopped visiting for a few days. Sean could only assume it was from the news and reports of all the attacks. Then the military came in and started killing everyone.
Sean managed to escape on his own during the chaos and in a twist of events found Carl who begged his mother and Uncle Shane to let him come with them.
With Sean's military skills, he proved useful and helped protect the group from the dangers of the Walkers.
When they found a safe place to settle down with a bigger group Sean for the most part still kept to himself, except for when Carl came to spend time with him, sometimes bringing a little girl that was also in their group, Sophia, from time to time.
About a month later, the group who had gone out a few days ago to scavenge a few supplies came back with another person.
The man who had been in a coma while Sean was in the hospital, Carl's father, Rick Grimes

TWD OC: Sayaka "Aki" Hirogami
When Sayaka, a medical student previously en route to her cousin's wedding in America, finds herself stranded in Atlanta amidst the collapse of civilization with barely any proficiency in English, there's not much she can do for herself when she observes a family being torn apart by dead people and in the moment is pulled away by a man named Jim. Both alone in spirit and scared out of their minds, they arrive at a campsite on the outskirts of the city and Aki suddenly finds herself in a position of playing babysitter to a young boy named Carl, forming a bond with him even in spite of their glaring language barrier.
As days turned into weeks, the shadows of fear and uncertainty loomed ever larger, threatening to consume her as thoughts of her family recycled in her mind. Even as she tried to form connections within the group, it proved heavy and difficult with all that separated them. Yet, Aki held onto her hope, and when Daryl Dixon comes back from a run with an English/Japanese dictionary in his pack, things start to seem just a little bit easier.

I have gotten an urge and wanted to finally ask away about your Walking Dead ocs so heres the first ask of "many." SO!! What is Mina's relationship with her brother Glenn like? Are they close? How do they navigate through the apocalypse together?
Finally answering these... at least, some of them, I'm hoping.
Mina and Glenn are close! He's her favorite (and only) younger brother. In canon, I think Glenn does have two older sisters, one of whom I made into Mina! Glenn follows Mina down south to Georgia after high school to get some distance from their parents' expectations, and they live together; Glenn, as a pizza delivery man while figuring out life and Mina, as a paramedic. Eventually, the city becomes too much, and Mina becomes a paramedic in nearby King County. The two are actually not together when everything goes down! Mina had been working overtime with all the calls and when Atlanta gets bombed she fears the worst. However, she swears she recognizes the voice that calls out to her and Rick when they're stuck inside the tank and sure enough its her beloved baby brother, alive and well!!! The two stick close for awhile after reuniting. I also headcanon they both speak fluent Korean and will sometimes converse in just Korean.

OCs DESERVE BETTER -> Nico Sanchez (The Walking Dead)

"It used to be a joke down at the station - what we would do if the apocalypse suddenly broke out. None of us expected it to actually happen."
A former marine turned career firefighter, Nico Sanchez tended to keep to himself when he wasn't down at the fire station. The only exception was his next door neighbor, Peyton. Having been injured during a fire call, leaving him with a permanent leg injury that had occasional flare ups, he found himself withdrawing from just about everyone that wasn't Peyton or one of his fellow firefighters. Then he finds a pair of juveniles knocking at his door at midnight, drenched from rain, mistaking his house for Peyton's. And somehow, he finds himself bonding with them - especially the youngest, Danny. Through this, he finds himself slowly coming out of his self-imposed seclusion.
When his station is dispatched to a call involving multiple gunshot wounds, including an officer, he doesn't think anything of it - until he realizes the officer is Peyton's friend, Rick Grimes. Not having much to do with patient care, he ends up being requested to drive the ambulence to the hospital while the EMT's work to stablize and save Grimes' life. Through Peyton, he gets updates on how Grimes is doing - and finds out he is in consideration from the eldest kid, Jackson, as a potential guardian for Danny while Jackson leaves to figure his life out.
Which is partially how he ends up running from the dead with Danny in tow. Ideally, the duo planned to find Peyton and reconnect with her, but had no luck - so it ends up just being them for awhile. Until they stumble upon a town called 'Woodbury'. Something about the town doesn't seem right to Nico, but wanting Danny to be safe, he puts those worries aside. But he still remains alert and ready to grab Danny and run first chance he senses danger.

Eve didn't quite understand what her Aunt Irma meant by that. She just thought it was just one of her rambles while being drugged up while the cancer was busy eating her alive. But after living in a world where Eve is constantly surrounded by death and heartache she thinks she finally understood what her Aunt was trying to tell her.

TWD OC's: Tom Nemoto and Jimena Marciel
Of all the members in their troupe, and few they were, who managed to survive the attack on their former settlement, Tom was arguably the most "mature" of the group. At the very least, he was one of the oldest, and thus often found himself in a position of making decisions for the rest—though often in opposition and locking heads with one of the other more senior members, Rob Kahnwald. Within the walls of their settlement, he had been quiet and unassuming, and said very little about his life before the end. A great mystery and the subject of many curious discussions between the children in the community was the reasoning for his strange clothes that gave him the appearance a man out of time. Little did anyone know that right before everything went to hell, he had just finished a performance of Sweeney Todd. Had they asked, he likely would've told them, but they rather preferred to enjoy the mystery.
Where Tom was a man of few words, Jimena Marciel was a woman of even fewer. In fact, for the first few weeks after Tom had returned to the community from a hunt with her in tow, she said nothing at all to anyone. Since then, she always just seemed to stick to his side from then on, only beginning to develop friendships with the other survivors upon the decimation of their settlement, though just as quickly retreating back into herself when the group reaches Alexandria and are once more surrounded by strangers.

Quick Blog Update
Hello! Admin Mimi here! I just wanted to give a quick thanks to everyone who followed this blog so far! I meant to get this blog going when I first created it almost three months ago but a medical emergency stopped me. But now that I’m healed I’m ready to get this show on the road!
Here are some new things added to the group and what’s coming!

Answer: Events are just fun little prompts and ideas that you can do with your The Walking Dead ocs within a certain time frame. It should be noted that events are not mandatory! They are made purely for fun!
Rules for all the events are here below.
DO NOT copy others' edits, if you feel someone has stolen your edits, please contact us with proof and reasoning of your belief.
If one of your posts for the event includes a crossover with another creator's oc, PLEASE make sure that the creator is okay with crossovers and has your permission.
