↳Re-Introducing Stranger Things Oc: Benjamin Hopper Series: An 80s Mixtape: Book One: Crazy Train [Revamped Chapter One coming soon!]

Summary:

Benjamin Lee Hopper was born on July 4th,1967. He was a product of a one-night stand between a woman named Ellen and his father Jim Hopper. He first met his dad when he was only two weeks old after being left on his dad's front porch with a note from his mother claiming he didn’t want him.

As Ben got older, he started having weird dreams, most of the time it would have been shrugged off by his dad and then stepmother Diane as it being a normal child having vivid dreams. But then the dreams started turning into nightmares right before his little sister Sarah got sick. His parents couldn’t pay much attention to Ben at that point since they were focused on trying to get Sarah well, but then she ended up dying.

The nightmares had gotten worse after that. It ended up getting to the point where one terrifying night on September 7th,1979 his dad rushed him to the doctor to help get rid of them.

It had worked for a while but years later, in 1983, Ben's dreams were back. He was dreaming of a girl in a hospital gown and then Will screaming right before he went missing.

Every year after that… the dreams would get worse and worse, with different monsters and threats to his friends and family.

The older sister of Dustin Henderson, Claudette is like your average small-town girl-next-door: pretty, decently popular, cheerleader, good grades. Born with mild cerebral palsy, she has always been determined to not let her disability define her. Sure, she knows there are peers - even among her fellow cheerleaders - that laugh about her and talk about her behind her back, but she ignores it for the most part. Besides, she knows as soon as she graduates, she will be heading for university and leave the town of Hawkins behind except for visits to her mother and younger brother.

Then Will Byers go missing and Claudette finds herself joining Jonathan Byers and Nancy Wheeler - two people who she only really knows through their younger brothers' friendship - in uncovering what really happened to Will and finding him if possible. Between discovering the existence of monsters and that the government is shady as hell, Claudette begins to think whatever is happening goes far deeper than anyone could imagine.

OC HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE — Day Nine: The Harbringer

In which Carrie Wheeler has been using her intuition, that anxious twinge in her gut that she gets whenever something might be dangerous, to try and keep the people around her out of danger for years… but to no avail. She tells her younger brother not to go into the woods looking for his missing friend - he comes back out with a bald little girl on the run from dangerous scientists. She tells her twin sister not to go to one of her boyfriend’s parties - her sister’s best friend ends up dead. She tells the group of young boys she plays D&D with to try and stay away from the new girl at their school - they wind up being in danger from said girl’s stepbrother multiple times.

At a certain point, Carrie has to wonder whether she is something of a modern day Cassandra, doomed to sense danger but never to be believed when she tries to warn people of it. Which is why, when she applies for a job at Scoops Ahoy in the newly built Starcourt Mall, she ignores that familiar twinge in her stomach that tells her to stay away - after all, she may have been right about the people’s warned being in danger, but they all still turned out alright in the end, so why shouldn’t she?

But, inevitably, Carrie has ended up as just another name on the list of people who haven’t listened to her warnings and found themselves in peril because of it… because now she is being held hostage by secret Russian agents alongside her twin sister’s ex-boyfriend, one of her brother’s best friends, and her other, very cute co-worker.

We hear about omens of death in every kind of mythology. Irish folklore warns you of hearing the wailing woman and German myth tells you to never find your doppelganger. Even Western Society in America will drift from their path if they see a black cat on the way. So which of your OCs stands outside of the haunted house and tells the redheaded twins “you’re going to die in there”?

What's The Opposite Of Miracles? ft. Wren Bulan

Faith is a dangerous thing, Wren's learned. It made the strongest of them weak at the thought of absolution. She doesn't believe in gods or the good in the world, not anymore; it would just get in the way of getting her duties done. Yet, she finds herself standing more and more often in the rundown church that keeps having things like Nutella appear out of nowhere, oddly enough. She tells herself and her superiors that she's just keeping an eye on the person behind the smuggling of American products into the base and making sure that the guy hasn't stuck a sneaky bug in their operations, but when Wren looks up at the moon and wraps her jacket closer around her shivering body, she can't help but wonder if there exists something like absolution for a messed-up piece of crap like her...

I'm keeping you here to save you because I love you", that was always what Dr. Brenner said. It was her home. But 013 could feel it, the danger coming. Even her favourite brother could feel it. When they heard the first scream, she was sure of one thing: they would have got out of there, no matter what.

Crazy Train ↳ A Stranger Things Oc story

"Ben Hopper's life is going off the rails."

Ever since Benjamin Hopper was a little boy he was haunted by these dreams and after his sister died, it only got worse. It ended up getting to the point where his dad took him to the doctors to help get rid of them. It worked for a while but later in the year of 1983, Ben's dreams were back.

But they were different this time, instead of the nightmares he once saw, it was a girl with a shaven head and hospital gown. She said her name was Eleven but Ben called her El for short.

Ben decided to not tell his dad about the dreams starting up again because neither one of them could even be in the same room together without starting a fight.

And Ben felt like these 'dreams', El, needed to be a secret. Protected.

So, Ben spent all his time at his best friend, Jonathan Byers, place. But then...things with Jonathan started to get complicated as well.

Benjamin started having these feelings towards Jonathan and it scared him. It scared Ben that if he acted or confessed these feelings he would be entirely alone.

Ben decided it was easier to avoid his problems and pretend none of them were happening.

But, something happened in Ben's life he couldn't avoid or pretend away...Will Byers goes missing.

Joyce handed her the photograph, a grainy, sepia colored snapshot of one of her fondest memories. Alicia even managed a smile at the sight, crinkling the film in her hands. It had been her eleventh birthday, and Steve and Jonathan had decided to build a pillow fort in the Wheeler’s basement, much like the one Mike had built for Eleven.

Even Nancy had pitched in, the four of them squishing together under the precarious structure, playing monopoly and go fish and listening to cassette tapes in Steve’s dad’s stereo. Rumours had come out the year prior and Alicia couldn't get enough of it.

“I’d never seen four kids so close,” Joyce interrupted her thoughts with a smile, “Until Will and the party of course.”

They’d never been that close since. Cause that year Steve met Tommy and Carol, and Nancy had found Barb, leaving Jonathan and Alicia to rely on each other like they always did. And Alicia listened to The Chain every day for a year, wondering how it all went wrong.

They’d never even gotten together for Nancy’s Birthday, or Jonathan’s. Whatever spark the four of them had faded by 1979, and completely petered out when Steve started high school.

But this was proof that it had once existed.

Nancy in her mom’s suede jacket, Alicia in her plastic birthday crown she’d proudly placed on her head, Jonathan in a shirt he’d probably stolen from his dad, and Steve with his messy head of curls and favorite striped shirt.

And now Jonathan had lost his brother, Nancy had lost her best friend, Steve was a jerk, and Alicia was still listening to The Chain.

Walking out into the dark, cutting out a different path, led by your beating heart There were a lot of things in Laura Hyde’s life that didn’t quite make sense. Such as the fact that she knew she’d moved to Hawkins when she was 13, but couldn’t remember where she’d lived before that. Or the fact that no one else was ever in her house – wasn’t she supposed to have parents? Shouldn’t she know the answer to that? Or the fact that half of her house, her always empty house, was covered in scorch marks that she couldn’t explain. But it was Hawkins, nothing strange happened in Hawkins, so she was forever shrugging and moving on, ignoring the mystery that seemed so desperate to catch up to her. But when Will Byers goes missing one day, and Laura feels a pull in her gut telling her that there’s something else going on, she can’t ignore it anymore. And it seems that a mystery might not be the only thing trying to catch her anymore. All the people of the town cast their eyes right to the ground in matters of the heart
