The problem when people say that they’re tkkrs, and they don’t engage in the vile rhetoric they often times spew + they say they love Jimin is the fact that there is no accountability and it makes them complicit to the other shit tkkrs do.
I’m not even defending jkkrs because they have a problem of their own, BUT the difference is that a MAJORITY of people who love and support Jikook call each other out. Whenever we see misinformation being spread we do our best to correct it and snuff it out and we come with facts and receipts. We hold each other accountable so that we make sure Jungkook, Jimin and Tae are humanized and not seen as characters in an AU.
So even though you - anon wants us to believe that tkkrs are nice and pro Jimin, the reality is that because your breed continues to be toxic, continues to spread lies, continues to harass people when the narrative doesn’t fit to your advantage, and continues to fetishize and I want to make it clear IT IS fetishizing, that even though they’re “nice” you’re also all silent.
The fact that your solution is to block and report but not try to correct the narrative not only proves the way you are complicit but it shows that looking away from the problem IS why tkkrs are so toxic.
And I’ve been an ARMY for YEARS, YEARS, and no matter how nice you tell me tkkrs are at the end of the day, as you said, anon, it’s used as a way to “de-stress” and ship fictional/non-fictional couples together, it invalidates the point you’re trying to make because TAE, JUNGKOOK AND JIMIN are real people. People that are living in an ANTI-LGBTQIA+ society that doesn’t accept them. So for you it might be merely shipping them but for actual QUEER PEOPLE our lives are not a fucking way for you to live bi-curiously or join in the “camaraderie” as you so eloquently put it.

It's kinda like how people say "its not all men" when women talk about our experiences in the world and when the #/me too movement was happening. "It's not all tkkrs" gives the same energy. I understand where everyone is coming from here, but it is what it is. If it's not you, then you don't need to defend tkkrs or shipping. If you aren't doing these things and you are standing up against it or trying to call people out, then you don't need to get upset. No one then is talking about YOU. But if you aren't doing those things, then you are part of the problem too. And that goes for all shippers too.

not surprised with that Daemon -Rhaenyra scene, their stans - shippers are such hypocrites making a million excuses for Daemon while hating on Criston, And now what? They can ship whatever they want but please don't act like this couple are "goals" because it's clear this man is using her since she was a child. I think that Matt Smith is such a good actor that the character of Daemon is a bit over-preforming right now. You're not supposed to like him, he's not even a anti-hero, he's a straight up wildcard super villain that has some basic loyalty to his family.
I think people conflate Matt Smith with Daemon without being able to separate the character from the actor. So they see a romance between Rhaenyra and Daemon when in actuality it is a business alliance, that, by the end, falls completely apart once they take King's Landing after the "Battle of the Gullet".
I've been seeing today that a lot of people have been using Olivia Cooke's recent interview as proof that Alicent and Criston's relationship is just as toxic.

Second of all ... Yeah, I also saw the Olivia Cooke's interview floating around where she says that Alicent is afraid of Criston because of his violent reactions. But I feel that this is Olivia Cooke misreading the setting she's in. Like most air-headed London actresses - yeah, I said it, I might like Alicent and Cooke's fantastic job of her portrayal but I don't particularly care for Cooke and D'arcy, nor their cringe bad takes - she's viewing this through the lens of a modern woman in modern times.
Alicent would not be afraid of Criston, because he's doing his fucking job, which is protecting her.
And that doesn't mean just her life, but her virtue and reputation, which is vital to a high-born woman of that era and time period. Everything hinges on appearance and perception. If a dude accuses Alicent of being a murderer or a whore, and nothing gets done, if rumor spreads, then it will destroy her reputation irreparably. Which puts her and her children in danger.
Criston Cole defending Alicent's honor at all costs - the greatest knight of the Kingsguard - gives credence to her point of view. Lies are met with swift justice from a righteous hand. That just the world they live in, baby.
When they mean that he is sworn to her for life, that's not a nine-to-five - you take next watch to the night shift dude. Ser Criston Cole is her sworn protector for-ev-er! He is charged with everything detailing her protection and travel. For Ser Criston to be sworn to Alicent makes him almost exclusively her man in every way. That's something that both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon really fail at conveying.
Why did Cersei and Jaime have all that time to fuck? Cause he was her sworn shield - which meant that they spent almost every waking hour together, and Jaime stood outside her door at night. The same would be for Alicent and Criston, they would be together all day and half the night for - presumably - the rest of their lives.

his sources are antis that just got busted for screaming physical threats for hellers hellering in unapproved spaces at a con, eg, asking questions in the Cockles M&G. hence all the bird imagery. i have little birdies waiting for them to stunt like this, and it's expanding in scale monumentally now. 2po, gayle and suzanne's fuckup just birthed into a new movement that's going to make cons hell for all of them
M&G: Meet and Greet: High cost VIP events at conventions that are sealed behind NDAs (nondisclosure agreements, say shit, get sued). 2po peddled these as whispers and lied about the contents for years to charge up wincest shippers and antis while shitting down on heller hopes and spreading his nonsense in the Profound Bond server. It's all word manipulation and deletion.
My server identified his sources and put eyes on them waiting for them to mess up, because the NDA prevented anyone from actually correcting him, and they did. So while he tried his normal thing of lying through it online and deleting shit, I pulled the trigger on the actual contents, which he accidentally verified as real after denying it, by threatening to report it for an NDA infraction. Cuz you can't report it if it wasn't true. But he talked himself into the dirt.
Then realized it was his own sources that fucked up and said it on main, so he couldn't even retaliate, which is exactly the kind of fuckup we were waiting for.
He's a career liar and grifter that projects those accusations at everyone else, and exists wholly to dishearten hellers and give wincest shippers and antis an illusionary bubble of dialogue where they're still the ones being pandered to.
If you want an idea I leaked the pilot for Winchesters february and knew for more reasons than I can ever explain it was real while he squealed like a stuck pig it was fake. I told them all it was about Dean learning from his parents life to find his peace, including the complexities of their life, loss, love, machinations of chuck, issues he has to unpack, letting go and moving on, learning from them and ultimately collecting it into getting to say what he wasn't allowed in the OG property.
For obvious reasons they also wailed against this, refused, because their perfect finale was perfect, and they were convinced jensen loved it and would never do this, and this wasn't, according to 2po, about letting go, moving on, or learning from your parents. And I don't know how to explain how off course he is beyond just pointing at the first three episodes and saying listen to jensen's narration if the episode itself is too Big Brain for him to figure out the sUbTeXt.
Like I'm still where I was before the Deadline hit. This story is exactly what I said and deancas is down the road and they need to cope. But he's gonna keep wheezing out his fake bad sources like a bad prophet to the end, denying the obvious.

This faux funeral photo fuckery has SC's paw prints all over it. Of course it would be convenient for them to blame everything on crazed fans. Not on my watch. This is a very sly tactic to absolve them (SC) yet again of any wrong doing and use scapegoats... And I'm suspicious of various Anons pushing this theory that a fan did it. This photo and article (if you can even call it that) was likely added to the digital August addition after the fact; as in months later as a knee jerk reaction to something Cait wanted to negate. Perhaps SC were sprung or seen somewhere and panic set it. Perhaps there is evidence of her spotted with Sam looking couply at Graham's wedding?
All I know, is that there is no way that the photo was sitting undetected for five whole months! Without so much as a leak! And without Caitriona's PR not being aware of it. And if Cait's PR was aware of it (which they would be) then no way they would allow it to to print with Auggie's face been shown.
Critical thinking shows us the answers.
I think it's hilarious that this woman is so so stupid that after more than 10 years of fandom she can't tell her anon written and sent by Digssy the nutcake to spread her own fucked up tales. You know, as someone who absolutely adore Levihan's deep bond I'm so tired of logging in to diffrrent platsforms and seeing antis spreading lies about our ship. Like I'm so so sick of them claiming "Oh you levihands never consider Levi's cold answer to Hanji after they literally saved him" or "didn't you see how he rejected them in the forest? How do you call his 'unrequited love toward titans' line as a confession of love?" So much invalidating, so much hate. Almost feels like they don't have a life other than slandering what other ppl like. Sometimes this fandom makes me even more exhausted than I am by my daily life. Sorry if I sound like a pessimisst. Was just here to vent as I consider u as a logical person. Tc!

Yeah, I feel you, ya know. So you can come vent when you need! I know how painful it's to see something you've loved for a long time is not simply badmouthed, but actively being used to "ship shaming" us.
Unfortunately, 99% of the time that LH is slandered it's not a matter of honest or sincere people (either shippers and neutrals) picking canon material and presenting another view that could not match what we have seen in the same canon material, or with the Japanese translation helpers (that we love). If it was with honesty reading, it wouldn't be slander at all, just a fair viewpoint shared to make people think, as everyone can do metas explaining viewpoint here and there.
But what seems to happen in the ship wars (that involve multiple Levi x whoever character ships, but NOT all shippers in them) is that 99% of the slandering over LH is done by the darker and loudest set of people within the multitude of Levi-X ships, and they are fueled by pure disgust, hate, and the simple evil intention to mock us to protect their ship. To do this, they purposefully pick the things that are special or fun to us, and twisted them in horrible ways that make us seem lunatic to the whole AOT fandom! And also, there are always some non-shippers that just hate AOT in general now, and they just like to increase the chaos between shippers because it seems fun as hell to them. (*sigh*)
Like, something pretty SIMPLE that caused an uproar of Levihan slandering: the mercha rings fun we had joking that Levi and Hange had married and all, playfully saying that they were canon, turned out a weapon in their hands to say we are "so obsessed and desperate to force they canon". And it escalated until they settled down after getting their own mercha promo where it shows Levi's and Erwin’s rings in the same hand of a person. And then they stated they were canon!
I laughed so hard because this part of the AOT fandom is crazy haha
We all know that merchandise is pure SHIP BAIT to attract money for their sales, so our plays and jokes and fun with them is supposed to be just this: WE ARE HAVING FUN! So why when it's the LHs enjoying these silly things, we are the crazy, the dummies, the stupids ones, but when other ships do it it's okay, and cute, and CANON proof? LOL
God, there are so many clowns in this fandom!! And as you said, they just like to heat things up because there is nothing else to do in their lives!
Now about canon stuff:
After seen so many attacks on social media these past months (I had no idea things were this bad), there was a time when I've even questioned myself if I was reading too much into Levi and Hans' bond. But I concluded that fuck it - if 10 years having each other's back through thick and thin and going through life and death situations doesn't make an amazing solid bond between people, nothing.else.does.
And about what you pointed out that this group of dishonest shippers claim: fuck it too LOL! Levi wasn't drawn saying a mere "thank you", but he said "I know you" and gave her all his support in her decision to go try to stop a planetary annihilation; and in the plane scene, Levi could barely walk properly and stand up but he still tried to stop Hans from marching to her certain death, and we saw the light dying out of his eyes when he had to let her go, and then he put his fist over her heart and for the first time in their life said, "Dedicate your heart".
Just remembering this is making my eyes watering already, but as if this isn't enough, Isym also showed Levi couldn't even look at Hans fighting the Colossals, nor her death, and in another display of a first time in Levi's life, he says a "Later" farewell and asks her to "keep watching." Then, while Levi is shown broken in chapters 133, 136, 139, Hans is suddenly shown beautifully drawn in precious panels in the 2 laters, especially in 136 where her face has a close-up, and she is alive and happy, lively inspiring Levi and the campfire group with dreams of a world free of horrors while being the focus of everyone's eyes! And from these memories with her and the others, Levi renewed his will to keep fighting amidst his horrible condition from these moments because if the world went to full hell, it wouldn't have been worth the heart she also devoted!!
So yeah - what is a simple "thank you" (and these whatever biased treatments that these share of troublemakers imagine) compared to all of this????

Now being more rational in this chaotic situation of ships in AOT:
Sorry if this will sound a bit of a down point, but for ALL shippers in this freaking fandom (me included), it's also important to remember that the core of AOT story is not to be a freaking shoujo manga.
In fact, nearly all canon romantic relationships had horrible nuances: Carla being eaten by Grisha's 1st wife, the girlfriend doing CPR in the body of her half-eaten boyfriend during Trost attack, Ymir being eaten by Galliard while Historia was forced to get pregnant, Ymir the Founder in love obsessed with King Fritz for 2000 years, Dina tortured and being turned into a titan in front of Grisha, Ksaver’s wife slitting her own son's throat and then killing herself, and Mikasa kissed the decapitated head of the love of her life after being forced to kill him bc he not only wanted to exterminate the Titans (freeing Ymir) but because he also wanted to flatten 100% of the Earth and let it full of carrion-fattened insects.
So if anything, Isym made sure to depict friendship and fellowship love as the best thing in life! Which, no matter what people say, the canon has enough material to at least prove this existed between ALL SC veteran members!
And lastly, a particular lesson I've learned being active in fandom these months is that moments of utmost frustration can make us feel things too deeply, and regret a lot of things later...
So, as we still have the freedom to see romance where we want, So let's just enjoy what we have healthfully, and keep dedicating our hearts to appreciate these characters that give us so much love in life!! Even though it cannot be screamed as canon (w/o slandering), Levihans can pick up its fair share of hints of beautiful, fun, and non-traumatizing tropes of romantic love from the main manga, anime, and side materials with heart at ease!

Why I'm tired of communities and certain people; a thread.
[ note: I'll only speak for myself and my close friends from the community, who since then left because of the bullies. Noone else ]
[note2: shipping is when you pair two characters because of reasons, and want them to be very close friends or lovers.]
The thing started in 2021 December, at least I noticed it at that moment. You guessed, it's an edited post, there was something else here before. I'm only adding the screnshots as evidence for later purposes AND writing context so it's easier to understand.
It's a trend nowadays, and while I'm saying "trend" I really mean it; if one wants to ruin another's career in a community or whatever they have there (couldn't be called a career but still) they just pull the "xy is p€doph1le! Supports abu$e and such! Bad person! Cancel them!" card and especially tumblr will immediately listen to them, even if they have exactly ZERO evidence, only a shit callout post. Or multiple.
The quoted things were made up by the bullies and are getting spreaded, probably still.

True fans of the ship always supported the love between two adults. Kid versions of characters didn't even exist during that time ffs...

Basically, they try to push on innocent people, what THEY are doing.
I'll once again send this one; cyberbullying is admitted+fanarts of people are being used without a single permission. that’s called art theft.

I once checked this person's tumblr, to find out he blocked me YET he still keeps retuning to my page daily and endlessly stalks me with multiple supporters of his, writing callout posts behind my back, and reblogging nonsense/lies about me and other people. spreading shit behind my back and telling them lies. I know from multiple sources that it keeps happening.
I did write two reaction posts, again, REACTION posts, since I knew nothing about all of this shit until it wasn't sent to me.
as a side note, I’ll just tell that I did not invent the ship lol.

But it also includes the Jared stans who are always slandering him, the shippers on both the cockles and tinhatters sides, the cockles fans who pretend to care about Jensen, only to insert Misha into everything, to go and harass his new coworkers, to give his real fans a bad rep, the tinhatters who say they love Jensen, but only love him as long as he's sacrificing his own wellbeing for Jared, the wincest stans who think that Dean can't and shouldn't be allowed to have his own life or personhood, the "Jensen fans" who humiliate Jensen to hype up his wife (though I've not seen any actual Jensen fans put him down in favour of his wife, so I'm going to assume it's actually the hellers, who I have seen do that, and we were just thrown into this category in a rumour started by the tinhatters, or hellers, I'm not picky, to make us look bad or to make the hellers look more valid and like the typical Jensen fan. Spoiler alert, they are not). The reason my initial message focused on Misha's cult is because people were acting like they're any better than the Jared side. No one was defending the tinhatters or the bullies who are Jared's fans, if they had been, I'd have pointed out how bad they are as well (I believe I did anyway, in comparison, but sure, let's ignore that to act like the poor victimized group here is the Misha fans).
Now, there's a few things I'd like to say, about the flurry of anons that have been sent in response to what I said, basically saying "I'm not like other shippers". First of all, every single one has talked about how they, unlike the other ones, follow boundaries. I have two things to say about that. A, I don't believe that. I just don't, because every single shipping account I've ever seen, cockles or destiel, or even just a Misha fan, has been so disgusting towards Jensen. But, let's argument's sake, say that that's because I just haven't seen the "normal" ones that "have boundaries". Which boundaries are those? If someone was like, I ship destiel but I know it's not real, and I'm not going to harass and threaten and slander Jensen over it, I'm not going to act like I know better than the guy who's been Dean for 15 years, I'd be like, okay, I guess you have boundaries. I don't know what show you're watching, but fine. But the minute you start projecting that onto a real person, with real feelings and thoughts and relationships, you're already out of line. I know that the interweb has skewed people's sense of boundaries and respect, but that's messed up. No matter how much fun you're having, it's still wrong. I wouldn't want to walk into my office and find people spreading rumours about me. He's a person too, and it's messed up. And I understand that Misha's a fucking asshole, who only cares about himself, and has been egging on these dangerous individuals, but the rumours aren't just about him. So his "hints" and "coded messages" are not a free license to make up lies about Jensen. You're breaking boundaries by doing that, no matter how much you tell yourself that you're not, so you can still feel righteous and entitled.
Another thing I have to point out, that's been a pattern in all of these messages is the "if" clause. Every single message has included a paragraph about "IF Jensen said destiel and cockles weren't real, I'd still love him, that's just his opinion". Which tells me that the opposite is true. First of all, his work and especially his life and relationships, are not a matter of opinion, those are facts. Respecting someone includes respecting their right to speak about their own life and acknowledging that they are an authority over their own life and thoughts and feelings. But second, the fact that so many of them have said this, that they'd still love him, shows that the opposite is true. Because guess what, there's no IF about it. He's said time and time again that destiel isn't real and that Dean does not have those feelings for Castiel. So, so many damn times. "Destiel does not exist", "where is destiel real?", "I have not played it like that [which was AFTER 15x18, just in case someone wants to be all "he's changed his mind"]. He's also shut down the rumours about him and Misha every single time. When the assholes showed up to his face to ask about clothes sharing, he told them that they weren't sharing, he'd given them away. If someone donates clothes to goodwill, are they dating every person who gets those? I think not. Misha wore them in public on purpose to egg on the shippers, I know that. That doesn't mean that he's dating Jensen, just because he's wearing his donated clothes. I mean, Jensen has packed extra clothes for Jared before. By that logic, they must be married by now. When Misha was being cringey af in that gish video last spring and kept saying "I love you" and "I miss you" to get him to say it back and get crumbs for the shippers so he himself could stay relevant to his own cult, what did Jensen do? He called him "brother" (as Dean has called Castiel, several times, and Benny and Lee. I think it's time for this side of shippers, who tell the wincest fans that they're gross for shipping incest, to realize that they're doing the exact same thing. Two sides of the same coin) and talked about how he'd not seen him outside of work. At all. There's an infinite amount of more examples of Jensen saying that destiel doesn't exist and cockles doesn't exist. The people who are still saying "IF he said that", the "if" is there because they refuse to listen to him. The "if" is there because they don't really love or respect him, because if they did, they'd respect his words rather than pretending he never said them. The "if" is there, because his words say that their fantasies aren't true, but they ignore those so they can keep spreading these lies and blame Jensen for them, so they can feel validated. The "if" is there, because at the end of the day, they really do not care about him, beyond as a prop in their fantasies.
P.S. Since the original message, all the messages in response have acted as if I'm delusional for calling it like it is, and I've been called homophobic for thinking that it's inappropriate to spread lies about an actual human being. And yet, every new message that comes in, proves my point one way or another. So, all in all, I'm not mad about it.
I know I just posted about not sharing any “shipper wars” messages anymore but this one I wanted to share. I wanted you to get a chance to explain yourself, and I think you summed up a lot of things that I’ve also thought!
I don’t have anything else to add because you’ve done an amazing job vocalizing your views. I will say that I’m sorry (but not surprised) that you’re being called homophobic for thinking that lying about a person is wrong. That makes no sense on any planet, even the planet of wild stans.

a lot of people have very logically and understandably suggested turning anon asks off, and i realize it would help minimize the harassment, but the thing is, i also get a ton of really nice anons! and as a terminally shy person i understand the wish to comment anonymously, even if the thing you want to say is nice and positive. nice anons who share little ideas or leave funny (but kind) comments are my favourite :(

...honestly, while i understand perfectly well people not wanting to get involved with this garbage, i still do wish content creators (especially the really big and popular ones, and the ones that only or mainly create "non-problematic” content) in fandom were a little more vocal about being against harassment. no one needs to label themselves as anything or explicitly “pick sides”, but just saying “don’t harass people over what fiction they like or create or consume, no exceptions” would do a lot, and maybe antis would start to realize that the majority of fan creators don’t agree with them, and that if they really want to rid all fandoms of “problematic” people, that would mean having to get rid of all of their favourites as well.

I want to talk bluntly here.
I know I probably come off like a jackass nowadays, and I don’t want to, but at the end of the day there’s a group of ppl who are going to continue spreading lies about people based on what they ship, how they read characters, or literally anything that they disagree on, and they don’t listen when you try and explain anything.
so I’m kinda tired and grumpy and I genuinely try not to address it because I know no one who i want to get through to will listen, but also I feel like if I don’t just make a big old post whining about it there will probably be more of those small, whinier posts that I delete after an hour or so. But anyway. People are going to call me and my friemds horrible things, and they’re not going to listen if we try and defend ourselves. Which. Old news. Already found that out last July-August.
Guess what? I was here last year. I missed most of the first drama of the year, that being Kittencourse 1.0, but I was dragged along for the ride every other time. And it was anti-shippers starting those dramas, every time. I probably wouldn’t have lebelled myself as anything if not for the fact that for half a year bullies were throwing around their weight and justifying it by being antis, even when their opponents were doing nothing wrong.
I was here when someone was harassed for months over a fanfiction. this person wasn’t some huge presence in the fandom; the fanfic wasn’t some bastion of the fandom. I don’t think most of us knew either person or fic until antis decided it would be fun to fuck with the account for months on end.
I began identifying as pro ship because at least the pro shippers didn’t seem to be going out of their way to be nasty.
You know the funny thing? For a long while the most problematic thing I shipped was Tugger shanks. Even now, the most problematic thing I ship is Munku pounce, which I will not hesitate to tell you is a comfort ship, as pounce is one of my comfort characters. Any other ship is between kittens and those in the nebulous young adult range, which doesn’t seem to match the Anti Council’s definition of problematic, given many of them had no issue following a blog openly labelling itself as pro ship when the spiciest ship was Pounce/Plato.
And that’s the other thing. I’ve been very open on this blog about being pro ship.
Every time I got a wave of followers who seemed v likely to be anti-shippers, I reblogged posts explaining my stance and hopefully making it clear that I was pro ship. Regardless, I ended up having these followers for months; I didn’t block them bc many of them didn’t make it clear either way what they felt, so I dared to assume they were alright following a pro shipper. Then of course a few months later: a pro ship DNI, maybe some soapboxing, and more than once this has been while they are still following me.
And the fact is, it doesn’t matter what I try to explain.
It doesn’t matter how many posts I reblog trying to explain what it means when I use the term pro ship.
It doesn’t matter if I say that incest ships aren’t really it for me.
It doesn’t matter if I say the kittens are not young children to me.
It wouldn’t matter if I compiled every instance of kitten characters being provocative or taking part in sexually charged numbers.
It doesn’t matter that what we’re talking about here are fictional anthro cats played by adults.
It doesn’t matter because antis have already made up their mind and don’t want to hear otherwise.
It wouldn’t help if I changed labels because the label isn’t the issue, it’s the opposition to antis and their mentality. If I changed labels, they’d simply transfer the baggage they’ve given pro ship onto whatever I had chosen instead.
And I don’t think there’s going to be a middle ground reached because both sides are coming at media differently.
Yes, Pro shippers are alright with people having ships between characters who are related, ships with large age gaps, and, yes, even ships between adult characters and child characters. Because this is fiction we’re talking about. No one real is being harmed by this ship existing. The threat of grooming with these ships exists for all ships, all fandoms, all pieces of media, and all things that can be used to gain a victim’s trust.
Also, you don’t know why anyone ships what they do. You don’t know why anyone has the headcanons they do. I think it’s well-documented by now that there are survivors on all sides of this discourse, so that much should be clear. Telling those who do use these more controversial ships or headcanons to cope that they ought to be doing it in private is not only callous but disingenuine, as antis have, multiple times, gone into private spaces and leaked all content thereof so they could call out those within the group.
As it applies to this fandom, I don’t believe I’ve seen any potentially triggering ship in the main tags. Most of us who do ship controversial ships are aware people don’t like them. We provide tags to block, and of course users can be blocked as well.
Speaking of which.
I know who blocks me back. It shows a specific icon when a block is mutual. I assure you very few antis block me, even when they say they do.
Listen.
The truth is, at the end of the day, this is a blog for a musical about cats. I’ve shifted away from interacting with most users, partly so i don’t end up with more followers who end up antis, and partly so other, neutral users don’t end up catching flack for interacting with me.
And yeah, it is true that the current fandom climate is hilariously hostile to several ships that were popular for decades beforehand. It is true that antis have double standards. That their hypocrisy is easy to point out. That’s true of antis and fandoms in general.
But also. No one outside this fandom gives a shit what any of us are shipping, really. We’re all weirdos to them. The block button is right there; the filtering option is right there, Xkit and its blacklisting tool are right there. Yet there are still these dumb as shit outbursts and fearmongering and soapboxing.
And I’m Tired.
I’m tired moreso by general antidom.
There are multiple compilations of anti shippers being horrible people over ships and fiction, and sometimes even just because they think someone is a pro shipper, even if they aren’t. I’ve had many urges to link them, to share them, but often I think about the trigger warnings it would require and I lose steam; I don’t want to share that stuff with my followers.
And I’m Tired.
I’m tired that the same stupid points of drama are probably going to get resurrected again. At least this time I have most of them blocked.
But, yeah.
I’m Tired.

I was on Fanfiction and I saw a new fic called "Exhausted" it was Cloti but with a lot of CA in it then I read the notes from the author and they said this: "In the Remake, all of Cloud's romantic scenes were with Aerith—not Tifa. ("Don't I get a say so in this?"—Boy shut up!) Clerith seems to be the direction the devs are headed now." And I'm like wtf? Did they play the same game as you or? What do you think? Are they right? Cloud and Tifa are the opposite of a toxic relationship.
Tifa supports and nurtures Cloud and believes in him. She listens to him and respects both his physical and emotional personal space. She makes requests of him and doesn’t expect him to help her despite them being friends.
Aerith on the other hand literally refuses to listen to Cloud, embarrasses him several times and doesn’t let him say no.
When someone doesn’t let another person say no -- literally the word no, which these assholes never seem to address no matter how often it’s brought up -- they are toxic. They are harmful.
Cloud never says no to Tifa. 2/3rds of Cloud’s whole psyche is dedicated to Tifa in OG with the remaining third focused on Sephiroth and his relationship to Zack. There’s no Aerith in Cloud’s core values. That’s why they constantly have to try and destroy our confidence in their relationship. Because Cloud and Aerith have no relationship and they’re a bunch of jealous bitches.
Report the fic for being anti what it claims because that’s what it is.

You know when I first joined Twitter I had many reservations. I had always heard that Twitter fandom was pretty toxic and for that reason I tried to avoid it as long as possible. Eventually with Tumblr slowly dying I just went for it. I was... pretty damn naive when I joined up.
I have always said, over and over again, that my main reason for even being in fandom was to meet new people and make new friendships that would outlast Supernatural. At this point in time I feel I have accomplished this, though I am always open to making new friends. I like to think, that this being my primary reason for being here, it makes me a genuine person. I am not altogether that interested in popularity, getting the most followers, making my opinion the one everyone MUST believe in, and I never had much interest in “fighting” antis first hand. Sure I liked writing meta and would defend myself if I was attacked, but seeking out drama and forcing my opinion on others were never things that I cared about.
Twitter changed me. I said I was naive, and I was particularly naive to people seeking me out, being super nice to me, inviting me into lots of various fandom GCs and welcoming me with open arms. When people do that, you feel loved, you feel like you are a part of something, and very quickly it can become addictive. You very easily start feeling like those people are your friends, and you get protective of them. You support them, stand up for them, and turn a blind eye when their behaviour gives you pause.
The other thing you should know about me is that I am an empath. Sometimes this is a strength, and sometimes it is a weakness. I hate the idea of upsetting people, and I feel strongly towards those who are upset. I always try to see different points of view in a situation, and I am very consciencous of offending people - When I have offended others, I tend to dwell on it for a long time afterwards, wanting to make things right. But I also think that being empathic can make me prone to manipulation. Especially of the emotional kind. When that happens I can get defensive myself, when I suspect emotional manipulation I shut down very quickly, and I can get spiteful towards it. It’s a defense mechanism. I often regret my actions later. I feel like Twitter fandom has brought out some of my nastier qualities, but I feel that I need to explain where I think this has come from.
I was invited into a GC that in hindsight, was a bad place. It was supposedly a place created to vent about things that upset us, and to keep an eye on that “other” side of fandom - the bronlys. It was a secret place, you must never talk about this GC, I was told. This GC didn’t exist. I’m going to talk about this GC, and in doing so will probably get attacked, subtweeted, called out directly, called a liar, exposed for being this that and whatever, probably have my private DMs shared, and yeah... a whole bunch of shit probably. I’m altogether not prepared for any of that, but since I have that whole bunch blocked now, I’m hoping any shit they say about me will blow over. Anyone who truly knows me, knows I am not the person they make me out to be anyway.
When I first joined that GC the point was to call out hate towards the cast and the writers. To find tagged tweets and bullying and harassment and make sure that the wider fandom knew exactly who the problem people were. I believed in that process. I believed that we were doing good for the fandom in making newer fans aware of who needed to be avoided, as I had heard stories first hand of people who had come into fandom reached out to bigger fandom accounts and immediately been shut down and bullied just for saying they liked Castiel or shipped Dean and Cas. I was angry at those hateful people and wanted some kind of justice for them, so yeah, I joined in happily with the call outs.
But over the past year, things have changed. First, it was not just calling out bronlies, it was calling out extreme stans, who also tagged the writers in their hate. Sure, I wasn’t happy that anyone was tagging the writers in hate, so fuck those people. They can go to hell. I’ll support the calling out of those names too. Then, when people started turning on meta writers like me and taking the piss out of our meta, calling it bullshit and mocking us, it was hurtful, so when that GC rallied together to support me and my fellow meta writers and call out those assholes I was all for it. They were screencapping my meta and calling me deluded after all, why shouldn’t I defend myself and get my friends to help? People in fandom can be dicks when they want to be. But then again, so can we all.
Then it got weird. I think people in fandom started getting nervous about the final season announcement and how the show would end. Cas stans started getting extremely negative about his chances for survival. Destiel shippers started complaining about Destiel being queerbaiting and planning on going after the writers if it didn’t go canon. These were people who I was mutuals with, whose accounts I followed, and whose opinions, whilst they were kind of upsetting for me as a positive fan, were untagged personal opinions and not hate. Those people weren’t attacking positive fans, though sometimes discussions got heated, arguably it got heated on both sides. When the GC started going after those people I started feeling uncomfortable. But I kept quiet. This, I have come to realise, was a huge mistake.
Suddenly other fans were fighting against the GC people. They (we) were called “the fandom police” and “the bully squad” by so many others. I started noticing how other fans, fellow Destiel shippers, were blocking me and avoiding me for my associations with this group. I watched as the GC people started slagging off accounts that were my long time mutuals, my close friends, people I had met in real life and knew to be good people all because they had voiced a slightly negative opinion about the show. If you are relatively well known in Supernatural fandom, chances are this GC has slagged you off.
At the same time, I had watched how some of my friends within the GC “clique” had started changing, how their behaviour online was becoming aggressive and mean. How they were antagonistic and bullyish. My friends. People who I knew were good people before. The dog piling, the condescending tones, the entitled sense of righteousness, it all added up. I started trying to voice my concerns, both to people I was close to within the GC privately, and timidly within the GC itself - for which I was shut down. I started reconsidering my own behaviour online. Had I too acted like this? Had I also aggressively gone after people for simply voicing a negative opinion? Had I also shown myself to be exactly what this GC was supposed to be fighting against?
Some of the others privately admitted to feeling the same way. Some of us backed off and stopped associating with the main GC accounts. We kept our distance from them, some I know muted them. But none of us left the GC. I wish I had back then rather than letting it escalate further.
It had once again got worse from just going after people with negative opinions, now they were going after anyone who disagreed with their specific opinions. Either you agree with us, or you are an idiot. I couldn’t stomach it anymore. My friend, who was also in the GC, decided to query this new line of thinking because she disagreed with the “big opinion”. This is what kicked off all the drama. I’m not going to go into detail about it because otherwise it’ll get too obvious and personal and I want to keep this vague because whilst these people have hurt me and spread lies about me I actually don’t intend to call them out personally or reveal whose who in the group.
Just know this. By the time I eventually spoke up it was apparantly too late. My admittence of my discomfort was seen as a betrayal. There were private DMs in which I got defensive and snapped back whilst emotional about basically losing all my closest Twitter friends, and some messages I sent which I am not proud of. If they get out, fair enough. Judge me all you like. Just understand that I was extremely upset and confused how no one else apparantly saw the issues I was seeing; that this GC was indeed bullying and policing fandom, and that these people were intimidating, threatening, and manipulating everyone into believing they were victims.
I tried to let it drop, I tried to ignore it. I wanted to keep quiet. But my quitting the GC, my request to those who were calmer and less inclined towards bad behaviour to at least keep the ones who were bullying fandom in line, didn’t stop them. Their behaviour has only escalated further and Twitter fandom right now is an awful place because of it. The bronlys must be laughing at us, because Destiel fandom has turned cannabalistic.
I spoke out recently. I tried to keep it vague in a tweet about the recent drama in general. But one thing I said gets pulled out separately and suddenly I’m the big bad wolf invalidating people and I’m a horrible person who is clearly fetishising destiel as I want them to fuck on the map table apparantly?!?! I mean, this is what these people do. They take something and blow it up. They twist your words, they basically throw a dictionary of large complex words at you claiming you are x,y,and z. they use terms like gaslighting and strawmanning aimed at you and in the confusion it takes you forever to actually realise that they are doing those things themselves. Constantly. To everyone.
Look I took it too far. I subtweeted too. I exhibited those bad behaviours as well. Hell, I learned from the best after all. I was in that GC for a year. Of course I am still trying to unlearn those behaviours. I am not proud of my behaviour on Twitter. After this post, I will try to do be better. Everyday. I will be better. I apologise to anyone I may have hurt by supporting and encouraging that behaviour.
I have had mutual friends tell me privately that I need to stop. What upsets me, is that those mutuals aren’t exactly telling the others to stop too. No. Those were the mutuals who stayed quiet whilst those particular people just constantly attacked and bullied everyone. So I’m sorry, but this is me not stopping, this is me making one last post on the topic. This is me telling my story as I see it. This is me pouring my heart out and getting it off my chest. This is my truth. I’m not spinning lies here, I’m not trying to twist anything, because I think I also come across quite badly. But the recent accusations against me, claiming I don’t care for anyone else in fandom, that my calling out “so called bullying” is just my personal vendetta against people who used to be my friends. Well, yes. Technically you’d be right there, they did used to be my friends, but no. Where you are wrong, is saying I don’t care. Because if I didn’t care about the bullying that I am STILL seeing on my timeline via upset mutuals reacting to the hurtful tweets of those I have blocked, I would just ignore it and not cause myself further drama. If I didn’t 100% believe those people were bullies, they’d still be my friends. I wouldn’t have called them out. Why would I put myself through all this if I didn’t 100% believe what I’ve been saying? That’s just madness.
Because here’s the thing, I HATE bullies. I have been bullied my whole fucking life, and what I hate MORE than that, was that through that GC I also became something that I hated. Because by associating with them for that year, I might as well have called myself a bully too. And that I just can’t forgive.
So my reason for writing this post is twofold.
1. Yes, it’s to defend the lies spread against me. So that those wondering if I am actually a fake bitch with a vendetta against certain people can make up their own minds. Perhaps this post exasperates that, or in your minds confirms their accusations about me. Maybe it does. I would argue that I am not fake. This isn’t fake. This is my personal truth and a very personal account of things that have greatly hurt me and caused me much internal conflict over the past few months. Those people who I am accusing (whose names I have left out to stupidly protect their privacy because believe it or not I’m not a bitch who encourages harassment against anyone even people I consider bullies) will never admit that their behaviour is wrong. They will continue to attempt to convince anyone who asks that I turned on them for no reason, or because I blindly follow my friend who they are also attacking and exposing right now for getting emotional and taking a DM convo too far. If you choose to believe them that is your right, clearly you and I were never close enough for you to trust my word over the words of people whose behaviour is clearly and proudly splashed all over their own social media accounts. Frankly, if you see all that, and still believe that behaviour is okay, you are no friend of mine.
2. It’s because I want people to know that actually, through all the pain and drama and emotion and loss of friendship, and conflict and struggle with my mental health, I do care. I care too damn much. If I didn’t I wouldn’t have spent an hour of my Sunday writing this out. Because this has been toiling and whirling inside me painfully for months and I am fed up of it. I had to write it down. I had to get it out of me. I want these people out of my life for good, but I can’t sit by and let bullies continue to manipulate my fandom, my mutuals, my friends who I see encouraged by their behaviour to imitate it. They are unfortunately very good at encouraging others to also partake in their behaviour. Please do not fall for it. Please consider your tone when tweeting or replying to someone with an opposing opinion. Please don’t feed bad behaviour by liking it and tweeting it just because you agree with the specific opinion buried within the condescension. Please don’t throw around strong accusations like homophobia against your fellow queer fans just because they have different desires from this dumb show that we all love.
If you can all do that for me, then I will promise to do it for you too.
I am terrified to post this post. I know that in doing so I am burning quite a few bridges. I know that those I accuse will do everything in their power to make out that I am insane, that I am a psycho. I know that I am exposing myself to more attacks, more harassment. I am sure there will be plenty of twitter threads dragging my name through the mud. They’ll dismiss all of this, call it bullshit, once again claim its just my personal vendetta against certain people. I guess I’m hoping that by anticipating all this and writing it down, it might give those people pause to just stop and leave me be. Stop the cycle of bad behaviour that has caused all this escalation and go back to enjoying the show without policing everyone else.
At this point I just want everyone to know the truth. Whether you believe it or not is your prerogative. This show ends in a few months time and I just want to enjoy it without seeing bullying in my timeline. That’s what this has always been about.
We must stand up to bullying. We must not let it ruin the final few months of this show. This post is my final word on the topic. I won’t respond to anything else. I won’t respond to any threats, any subtweets against me going forward. Hateful anons will be blocked. I won’t respond to anyone asking me for more info and I have no intention of naming people personally or giving more clues as to the GC or the people who were in it. So please don’t ask. Just keep an eye out for bad behaviour in fandom and if you see it, block or mute the source, only call it out if you know you have the mental capabilities to tackle the gaslighting. But absolutely do not support it. Do not feed the bullies as attention is what they want most of all, that and making their words the only words fandom follows.
I am done with this now. I won’t discuss this more.

What follows is a continuation of this discussion with @korrasera .I’m unclear on whether korrasera wants to continue talking about the matter, and that thread is itself extremely long. So, I’m making a new post to explore the matter further and explain my reasoning.
Brooklyn 99 is a magnificent show that portrays black men as wholly rounded, sympathetic characters. That portrays Latina women as diverse and intelligent. That portrays the exhaustion of being a Jew in a Christian society with grace and humour. That portrays the complexities and hurdles of queer life, without turning queerness into a tragedy.
All of these things are true, and all of them are good.
And all of this goodness comes from police.
The show consistently, relentlessly, presents police as good people who sometimes get caught up in a bad or corrupt system.
In fact, these police are so good that they can single-handedly counter the entire history of police violence in the lives of the people around them.
Let’s begin with Captain Holt’s husband, Kevin.
When introduced, Kevin is cold, passive-aggressive, and generally unpleasant towards the police his husband works with. This is portrayed as a terrible character flaw which he must ultimately overcome.
It’s revealed that his distaste for Holt’s coworkers is because for the last 40 years, they have been destroying Holt’s life and their marriage, through sustained, relentless bigotry, both racism and homophobia. But, you see, those were the bad cops. Good cops like the show’s main characters would never do something so horrible.
Therefore, Kevin's perfectly justified, and frankly, correct discomfort around police is a flaw that he needs to fix, and that he is ultimately able to fix when the good cops prove to him that, actually, those other cops were just some bad apples and there are good apples too (and please don’t pay any attention to the fact that bad apples spread rot so quickly through an entire warehouse).
It is only once he gives up his completely justified distrust of people who have been destroying his family for decades, that he is seen as a compassionate and caring character. Only once he accepts that Not All Cops Are Like That does he become the empathetic and kind character we see in later seasons.
There are people who believe, wholeheartedly, that because B99 shows that there are bad cops in the world, it cannot be pro-police. But, most people in the world don’t think all cops are good people, just that most cops are, and that when police violate human rights, they do so for a justified reason. A reason like imprisoning murderers or removing other, corrupt cops from the force.
The reasons that the main characters of B99 also always have for their actions. In the narratives of B99, when police violate human rights, they are always justified in doing so.
When Captain Holt makes a deal to help a mob boss, rather than facing any meaningful consequences for this action, his whole precinct joins together to cover up the deal. They do so by “ensuring” that the mob boss can’t do any harm to anyone. But, they nonetheless engage in a department-wide cover-up of police corruption. This is portrayed positively, as a coming together for the team.
The fact that the department reveals and overcomes other forms of police corruption on sere to prove that when these cops, the good cops do it, it’s justified. It’s righteous. Because they are doing it for good reasons, not bad ones.
When Holt and Jake take recording and observation hardware from the precinct without permission (this is theft, this equipment is stolen), and use it to trick someone into making a confession on tape, then use this recording as a bartering chip to get the criminal to do what they want, this too is justified narrative. They don’t have another choice! Besides, undisclosed recording is legal in New York (though, blackmailing people with those recordings is still illegal, and so is stealing police grades observation equipment, but don’t pay that any mind).
And just in case that early-season blackmail story-line wasn’t enough, the latest season ends with almost beat for beat the same blackmail story-line, except this time the recording equipment isn’t stolen. Instead, a confidential cell phone is illegally cloned and used as evidence to blackmail the chief of police into stepping down. But it’s okay for the heroes to steal the private property of a public figure because he’s a bad guy and they’re doing it for the right reasons.
And, if you’re already inclined to think positively about police, then, when in the real world you see someone do the same thing, you might be just that little bit more willing to believe that their justifications make up for it. Because, again and again, even on exceptionally progressive, well-crafted shows like B99, when the “good cops” engage in flagrant violations of human rights, they’re doing it for the right reasons. They’re working outside the law, but it’s okay because we can trust them to ignore the safety protocols.
Any time the narrative discusses the rightful consequences the main characters should face for these absurd miscarriages of justice, they are proven to have been right all along. Jake goes to prison for being a “corrupt cop” because he is framed by a much worse policeman. But the things he’s framed for are all things he has actually done. Breaking the chain of evidence, taking restricted materiel out of lock-up, keeping confidential case records in his home instead of in the records rooms. He’s “framed” in that we, as the audience, know he did those things for “the right reasons.”
And that gives people a reasonable doubt, when a real-world corrupt cop does all the same things, except he actually is doing them for the sake of corruption. Because we have been primed to see those actions as “technically against the rules, but only if you’re a bad guy.” And the cops on B99 aren’t bad guys. They’re the good cops! The progressive ones! The compassionate ones!
The ones who lock sex workers up in & make fun of them for having STIs. But it’s fine when the good cops do it, again and again, as a recurring gag. Because, hey, they’re diverse!
When Jake Peralta keeps a man trapped in an interrogation room for almost a full 24 hours without sleep or food and screams loud, relentless music at him, lies to him about what they know, threatens a young black man with jail time to force a confession out of him?
Sleep deprivation, isolation, exposure to loud noises, threats, all of these are forms of torture. But Jake’s right. The man was a murderer. And technically, those tortures are legal, so it’s fine. Jake himself, in the episode, talks about how it’s actually really fucked up that he can do all of these things. And then he does them anyway and is rewarded for it.
Again and again, the show says, “police malpractice and violence is bad,” and again and again, it tacks on, “except when our protagonists do it because they're doing it for the right reasons.” The thesis of the show could easily be described as, “police malpractice is a horrible crime that must be overcome., and the only way to overcome it is with more police malpractice.”
And that feeds directly into people believing that when the cops in their home town do something horrible, they were probably justified too. Because the police in their town are “the good ones” too.
This isn’t like anti-shippers with their proclamations that fan-fiction is making people think raping children is totally a good thing. As a general rule, it’s accepted in our culture that raping children is fucking heinous. Fan-fiction isn’t going to stand up in the face of that. In fact, it’s so accepted that actual science doesn’t stand up in the face of it (what a great time to remind everyone that most rape of children is not perpetrated because of sexual attraction but because of violent power-seeking behaviour, the same as any other type of rape, and pretending otherwise makes it harder to combat this specific form of rape).
The general opinion of policing in the US, however, is positive. The consensus of most people is that “most cops are good, it’s just a few bad apples who need to be thrown out before they rot the rest of the barrel.” B99 espouses that exact same message. It completely matches the general perspective of police in the US. And for people who already hold those views because they’re the dominant ideological framework? Shows like B99 reinforce them. For people who are on the fence, shows like B99 make supporting police even when they’re miscarrying justice and abusing human rights, seem normal.
Pretending that this unfortunate truth is just “overly simplistic” and an attempt to silence discussion is wildly misrepresenting the facts of the show, the fandom, and the way propaganda works.
Propaganda is biased media that influences other people to share those same biases. And while most of B99’s biases are positive, and most of its goals are laudable, the fact of the matter is, it’s a show where cops are the heroes. Full stop. There are bad cops, too, but the heroes of the show are the police. And their heroic actions are justified, no matter how extrajudicial or immoral they are. Their ends always justify their means, because they’re the heroes.
B99 is magnificent as a piece of representative media. It strives to make the world a better place!
It also does so by portraying cops as the ones making the world a better place even when they’re behaving immorally.
Both of these things are true, and in fact, it is the excellence of the show as a whole that makes it such compelling police propaganda.

oof. there was some anti that recently spread propaganda about cuties, despite (as most of course) claiming to be "all about facts". same dude was responsible for crafting a hit piece on a pro-shipper he guilted into trusting him when her mom died, only to want revenge on her for defriending him for DOXING HER. he tried to claim she made him flunk college, so that justified him making fucked up lies to get her harassed further. i had to leave animation discords because of that dude, so skeevy.
Fucking hell?? Who the fuck is that asshole, anon? Tell me so I will be sure to never see or accidentally support anyone like that, disgusting.

Regarding my post recently about how annoying I find anti-Reylo petty!posting, I want to make it absolutely clear that like, I don’t have an issue with people wanting to have serious discussions about the problems they have with it or with Kylo, Particularly because Kylo painfully reminds some people of current real-world behaviors.
Just as an example, within my own ships I’ve had serious issues in the past regarding the implications of how certain characters and storylines were handled. I shipped Rumbelle from OUAT for a long while. I was super into the concept during Season 1. But then Season 2 changed a lot of things for me. It was revealed that Rumple systematically manipulated Regina for many years. It was revealed that he also murdered his first wife out of anger and jealousy (she was his emotional abuser, but the framing of his motives made his major reasons clear. Also emotional abuse doesn’t justify murder but I digress). He repeatedly lied to Belle in order to selfishly keep her with him and blind her to what he did to his first wife.
Belle spent the entirety of their relationship basically denying his darkness and insisting that he change. It was probably one of the ugliest renditions of a Beauty and the Beast tale there is, because it managed to pretty much intentionally have the messages some people criticize BATB for having (even though it never did).
I still like the concept of Rumbelle in theory, because Robert Carlyle’s performance in that first Season was phenomenal and I loved the idea of the character initially. It would have been awesome to see a well written romance for him.
But as you can see, this ship inherently has serous issues, and many of those issues involve racism and sexism and abusive behavior. I would still enjoy shipping Rumbelle, but personally I feel like too much of canon’s poisoned storyline has permeated it’s fandom and fanfic, so I just can’t really invest any energy into picking out the stuff I don’t like anymore.
While the height of my OUAT fandom days didn’t really occur during the height of the anti-villain stanning days, I certainly still had people assume a lot of things about my feelings regarding Rumbelle, many of which reduced me down from a complex human being with ethics into a braindead icky fangirl who didn’t care about the ship’s problems because I was too busy stanning Rumpelstiltskin/Mr.Gold.
Over the years on this site I have had people treat me and others that way over characters and ships like Loki and Labyrinth’s Sarah/Jareth, and any number of villains or villain/heroine ships I’ve had in my time here. People who engaged in this kind of behavior rarely interacted long enough to ask what my (or anyone else’s) actual nuanced opinions were, because it was easier for them to create an immoral target out of us. The purpose was to make themselves feel superior over someone they could not humanize, not to spread awareness or engage in actual discussion with peers.
The most frustrating part of this is the blatant hypocrisy involved with this kind of behavior. I’ve seen Loki fangirls I’ve known who seem to enjoy trashing Reylo, as if Loki had significantly cleaner hands or ideologies than Kylo. As if the Loki fandom hasn’t churned out a boatload of Abuser!Loki fanfiction, as if they hadn’t mostly turned me off of my own ship (Loki/Darcy) because of how toxic they could depict it. As if I didn’t see a sizable percentage of Loki fangirls make Nick Fury the biggest villain in their fanfics, making him essentially an oppressor figure.
If you are a Loki fangirl you are certainly not automatically better than a Kylo fangirl. You don’t get to pretend that you are cleaner than the Reylos. If you like any villain at all, your hands are not necessarily cleaner.
But if you’ve never liked a villain at all, your hands are not necessarily cleaner, either. How many Rose/Doctor shippers who hated on Martha, or Clara/Doctor shippers who hated on Danny Pink, are anti-Loki or anti-Reylo, I wonder? I’m really not at all convinced that people who behave this way care about abuse, sexism or racism when it’s their own ships or favorite dudes.
The problem with these mean spirited petty jokes, bitching and bullying posts about Reylo that get passed around on this site is that they give away the hypocrisy of (predominantly) white fangirls who only half-bother to bring up serious issues when it’s convenient and safe for them, when it looks good for their SJ cred and social media reputation, and when they can hurt others with it without any consequences or repercussions for themselves or the things they personally enjoy.
And honestly I’m done with that. Have the courage and maturity to be critical of your own spaces, while respecting other people’s ability to do so within their spaces. If you are going to be critical of something, actually be thoughtfully critical and leave the petty bullshit behind you, because it just makes you look like a dick at this point.
So in conclusion, if you’re a marginalized person who had negative feelings about Reylo and expressed that thoughtfully, that post was not directed at you. If you are a Reylo who doesn’t have a single critical eye for what you consume or how you yourself engage in fandom, particularly when it comes to how you might alienate marginalized people, that post did not exist to protect you.
That post was me not giving a single fuck about anybody’s bullshit anymore. I don’t care about anybody’s online reputation or ego or petty mocking anymore, I don’t care how much SJ talking points and banners you list in your blog descriptions. I’m tired and getting way too old for this obnoxious high school shit.

as a victim and someone that went to therapy my therapist supporting my copping mechanism and you know what? it fucking helps. I can not function normal keep up with relationships and go outside like a normal human being , writing kinky fanfics and tagging them for adults only isnt harming me, I beg of you to stop spreading lies that HARM victims like me, antis do not care about real victims,
You can DM me if you like and we can keep this private but I'm going to go ahead and be a bit skeptical of your wording here
Cause what I tend to find out is that you guys are purposely vague with what you share to your therapists or you are vague on what advice your therapist suggests you do. Like "kinky" fics. What kind of kinky fics are we talking about here? Are we talking about just making love? Are we talking about how we want to inflict pain onto our abusers? Are we talking about having a romantic relationship with our abusers? Or portraying a relationship between an adult and a child? And I can imagine a therapist, if you are truthful, attempts to ask you what you write specifically. Saying "kinky fics" hardly says anything.
There is hardly any studies on these subjects, at least the kind shippers who ship immoral relationships would claim there are. The closest thing the psychology field has shared are experiments where a subject is told to write their personal experience(asked to do it in a few sentences) and of course surrounded by professionals to later discuss about their experience and thoughts. Sometimes the therapists do not read these journals they are concerned with how it affects the subject. But the therapist will never suggest they post it online. Even when you tag such content, random individuals who do seek such content can find it and next thing you know you find yourself surrounded by a community. And its usually not a safe type of community your therapist would approve of. The internet is a public space. You can tag your content but there are people who can still share it w/o your permission unless you make it private for your eyes only
If you have an issue with antis you simply have an issue with survivors such as yourself. Neither anti or anti anti groups are going to get far with this whole "you don't care about survivors" cause their are survivors on both sides. And on both sides there are terrible people who just simply want to bring harm
I do hope you find a more healthy coping mechanism, but with as much friends and family who work in these fields I know and have conversations with about these subjects I cant stand by and let shippers lie and pose these interactions with their therapists as something normal.
