While we’re spreading the word about Palestine, free Sudan and free the Democratic Republic of the Congo too.
There is a genocide going on in the Darfur region of Sudan. It’s been going on for 20 FUCKING YEARS. 2,000 people have died in just 5 days. Because of the Darfur genocide, millions (maybe even more) of people have either been raped, killed or displaced. Since April of 2023, things have gotten worse in the country. The UN just fucking withdrew from Sudan. The media has not said a word about this.
In the Congo, there is a genocide going on as imperial powers are exploiting the country for its resources. Many people, including women and children, are being forced to mine hazardous materials like cobalt. Those materials are not safe to touch or breathe unless there is safety equipment involved, and they don’t get any safety equipment. They are fucking being FORCED to touch and breathe those materials with nothing to protect them every day, and many people, including mothers with their babies strapped to their backs, are not exempt from this.
The materials many people are forced to mine and expose themselves to were probably used to manufacture the screen I am using to type this and the screen you are staring at right now. Please, do not buy new phones, computers, consoles, cars, etc. if you do not want to support this practice, if you absolutely HAVE to buy one of these, I suggest you go for used stuff. You can survive without buying the newest iPhone model, I promise your year old phone is still going to be very useful to you.
Please reblog, I dont care if you think this doesn’t fit your blog’s aesthetic.

"Taylor Swift speaking up about Palestine wouldnt change anything"
TWO of 30 artists said "ceasefire" and "Stop the genocide'' at a famous Italian music contest without even mentioning Isr@el or Palestine ( but they still censored them) and now all of Italy is talking about it.

I think a thing that is pretty obvious now is that Israel is NOT going to STOP, so what we have to do is to MAKE them STOP.
People listen! Do what you can to help Palestine. Make posters, post about it on social media, talk about it, write about it, donate, sign petitions, call your congress, boycott, protest and etc!
I know it might not feel like enough. But it's still something, especially if everyone does it! If people in the past were able to start revolutions and overthrow governments. Who says we can't do anything now? There's power in teamwork, even if you're working with strangers to stop a fucking genocide!
Also important note, when I say protests I'm not talking about those violent protests that we see on TV. No.
You people remember Mahatma Gandhi? He was a wise man. We should follow his footsteps.
Trying to stop violence with more violence will only result in more hurt and death. And that's the last thing anyone needs right now.
But that's what governments of many countries do. They use MILLIONS on weapons that they send off to Israel (or Ukraine, Russia, etc) instead of actually trying to stop the fucking conflict. That kills people. Kids, women, men, seniors die. Soldiers on BOTH sides die. Meaning that not only are thousands of lives lost.
But families lose family.
Another thing people always seem to not think about is that war is not just killing each other. It's also about recovering from it. And not every country is able to do that!! Especially in Palestine's case because of how poor it is already. Because the amount of damage war does to a country is unimaginable. Not only is the economy and everything fucked, but so are people, physically and psychically. PTSD and C-PTSD will affect so many. So many that generational trauma will affect people decades later. So Israel is not only taking lives and ruining lives of the people that are lucky to survive. But also ruining lives of generations of Palestinian people that aren't even born yet!
There's people still affected by WW2 because of generational trauma in 2024, my own damn parents included. Generational trauma is not a fucking joke.
Hah, but obviously this will only happen if there will even be any Palestinians alive to have children. Since Israel isn't fucking stopping. Israel doesn't care about Palestinians! They kill everyone in sight and take over Palestinian territory!
One step at the time. The first one being: making as many people aware of the genocide and working together to stop it.
I want to summarise this with;
STOP THE FUCKING GENOCIDE
PEOPLE SPEAK UP

Does boycotting really work? These companies have billions of dollars to their name
I doubt that MCD is losing billions an hour to boycotting, millions? Sure but not billions
These companies could survive years without going down due to boycotts so what's the point?
when companies are driven entirely by profits, boycotting most definitely does work. these are companies who will discontinue a burger when "not enough" people buy it: they will notice this. we want to be heard by them, and they are being forced to listen when we turn away from them—especially when we substitute their products with those of smaller, more local businesses. acknowledgement is the greatest power we can have against corporations.
do not underestimate the power of a boycott; because while it may seem that 7 billion is so little out of a company—that it is mere pocket change—, that is still billions that could be going to the palestine relief fund. plus, mcdonald's is a worldwide corporation; they are receiving profit from people not only in america. so, in a way, you're right. mcd's won't go out of business, but that is not the point: our point is so be heard and to get these large corporations who can afford to support israel to stop. they only listen to money—especially a net loss of it.
sure, i get that it seems unlikely—and i agree—, but even so: even millions is still enough out of their pockets to hear us. both sides are privy to exaggeration, and we need this skepticism—but why aren't you skeptical about numbers from israel? why are you trusting the statistics from government agencies that support this genocide? you don't need stats to know this is wrong.
but please, never ask, "what's the point?" because that question means that we are giving up.
i'm not an economist nor am i a professional in any sense: i am a student with a side blog for porn. this is not my forte, but this is not mcdonald's forte, either, to support a genocide. if we stay silent, we are supporting the murder of innocent palestinians by the thousands. i have a platform, and i'm going to use it to at least spread knowledge and resources that people can use to support palestine.
if you have any statistics or resources or whatever for me to research, please let me know!!

if you’re like me and support Palestine and want to show it i have found some websites where you can buy stickers, bags, flags, books, etc. where all proceeds are being donated to Gaza. instead of getting a random sticker on redbubble, buy some of these and show your support! Do not be silenced, stick it in their faces. Again, fuck Zionism, free Palestine. 🍉🇵🇸

about that recent ask, also not a professional nor any kind of stats person and I can't even say anything specific about the boycotts, but I am a person who's been in intensive therapy programs for almost a decade including group therapy and can attest, the "what's the point?" mindset can and will kill anything it gets attached to if left to fester. It's an insidious concept that acts as a comfort blanket for people, letting them think "well why would I when it isn't gonna do anything" and allows people to get away with not taking that first step, not talking about that hard thing, not boycotting that brand because yeah it's not gonna magically fix everything if you do that one thing- that's not the point of it. We've been ingrained in a society that yearns for these quick fixes, the magical no-effort-required solutions to all of our problems when that's not how it ever works out. Just because something won't fix a problem immediately doesn't mean it isn't worth doing, and that's a big thing people tend to overlook.
long-winded way to say, "what's the point?" The point is to make manageable steps towards the goal. With a situation like this, none of us are able as one person with no political power to really do anything that makes a bigger step, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't make steps at all because it's useless. That means we all have to work together to make the steps matter. Fuckin' Democracy and shit.
Apologies it's so long-winded, that "what's the point?" thing really got me- hope this is somewhat helpful :) -aureramphibian
EXACTLYYY thank u !!
if everybody asks, "what's the point?" nobody will change. nothing will change. palestinians will keep getting murdered in their homes and homeland because everybody has the same exact mindset of, "i can't help. i'm just one person."
one person boycotting mcd's may not "do anything," but millions boycotting will. a quick google search says 69-70 million people purchase mcd's each day. one out of 70 million won't do anything; but 50 million people together working together to end support of this corporation (and any others) will. 40, 50, 60 million "just one persons" add up.
it is entirely an excuse to not take that first step. the bare minimum. right now, i'm doing the bare ass minimum by talking about it and ending my support of these businesses. this bare minimum is still better than those who are ignorant and those who are educated but choose still to support these disgusting companies.
none of us will die without mcd's chicken nuggets; but thousands of palestinians will continue to die when we keep supporting their murderers' suppliers.
