@revnah1406 posted her pic while I was doing this one and my first thought was that this was what happened before hers.

In my head, Price gently picked Aly up off the couch and carried her to the bedroom. She half woke up as he was changing her into her sleeping shirt, mumbled that she loved him and then they both crawled into bed and fell asleep.

(aka: episode 305 of Fitz posting writing from a discord server with no context bc the lore is a Hot Crossover Mess - in this case, R6S but AssCreed is canon to an extent too)

Sometimes, Peregrine’s days go fine. And sometimes they really do not.

In the morning, he finds himself stuck in an email chain with his father. Back and forth and back and forth across the encrypted channel, discussing… seemingly everything, and yet also nothing at all. Reports that he needs to complete, reports that he needs to review, passing on messages to other assassins on assignment in the UK, receiving their responses and passing them back to the compound. The weather, the news, this, that, and more. With every message the risk of a slip-up increases, and tension ratchets up his spine until it almost hurts to breathe.

But he keeps it together, and moves on with his day.

In the afternoon, there is training. Really, such things should be simple - Peregrine has already taken stock of the map many times, knows each entrance and exit and hidey-hole like the back of his hand. Were he allowed to work alone, he could dispatch the five defenders with ease. Alas, he is not. If he’s lucky, his teammates are the quiet ones; those who either share in his reluctance to socialise, or simply prefer to focus on the task at hand. If luck deigns to spit on him, however, as it often does… His eye twitches with irritation, as a compulsively-friendly German and a hyperactive Pole attempt to engage him in conversation. He finds moderate solace in the presence of the Russian sniper, but that only lasts until it’s actually time to fight. Then his ears are filled with chattering comms until his head aches, and he wishes he could rip out the earpiece and stomp it under his boot.

Nevertheless, he keeps it together, and pushes towards the final stretch.

In the early-evening, Águila corners him for a chat. He knows, deep down, that her intentions are without malice - he’s been here longer, after all, and has picked up more about the expanding crowd of operators - but still his stomach churns. Especially when she asks if he’s made any friends. He spits out a denial, painfully conscious of the shivers running along his skin; he is here for work, nothing more. Nothing. No friends, no connections beyond the professional. Part of him aches to speak more openly, but the fear keeps his mouth closed. If anyone at home, his father especially, was to find out about his secret… He shuts the thought down without hesitation, bidding his fellow assassin a terse goodbye, and makes a beeline for his car.

And at last he no longer has to keep it together.

Good food. A hot shower. Uniform discarded in favour of comfortable clothes. Safely encompassed in the arms of his partner, his Ali, “Peregrine” disappears and Hristo is pulled to the surface.

The tension loosens, the headache wanes, the nausea subsides. A warmth in his chest, equalled only the soft smile in his direction (and the weight of a dog sprawled across both their legs).

Finally, he can rest.

Price: “…yeah, she decided, actually.”

This post is based on a drawing @alypink did about a month ago! I thought it was absolutely adorable, so I decided to sketch up a little interaction between the two back then but didn’t have the time to colour it until now!

Damien loves the little version of him so much! He takes him everywhere he goes and takes little pictures of him in various locations haha. Lachlan sometimes takes him away from Damien stating - “it’s easier to take care of this thing compared to you >:(“
