a/n: i imagine this stuff happening when you guys are just like barely into your relationship lol. but!! im gonna make this a little mini series, and ill do one of these for each member, so expect jay's next!!

you and heeseung share a pc in your apartment, and take shifts using it, because why wouldn't he let the love of his life use his most prized possession?

anyways, one day he comes back from practice with the boys late at night. and he sees you asleep at his desk with the faint glowing of the pc's screen illuminating your face, wrapped in one of his jackets!! he's like, wow, look, it's my adorable girlfriend!! she looks so angelic!!

so being the loving boyfriend he is he picks you up and puts you to bed with a smile, before running off to the shower to go freshen up.

after, when he comes back to your shared room, he takes a good few seconds to stare at his pc, and decides its a great time to hop on fort (me fr). who cares if its already 2 am?

and so he sits down in his gaming chair and clicks his mouse, the dim light of the pc screen brightening as a reaction to the sudden activity.

he's a bit slow because he's pretty tired, but after processing the black screen that is surely not fortnite's loading screen, rather lines of code, a small little smile of pride makes its way onto his face. he's so proud of you. he always will be.

his darling little dove, writing her own code! you've always been into coding, so he's ecstatic to have been able to come across the project.

now, heeseung is slightly educated in this field. listening to your little rambles about coding did teach him some important things after all. he goes through the code trying to figure out what you could be programming, before he realizes he can just check the project name! he seems to be getting slower by the minute, poor bby :(

and the title? "making a game for hee!"

his heart quite literally melts in that moment. it's an honor to have your hard work dedicated to him. he's always found your little hobby of coding endearing.

and what's even more adorable? the fact the the project dedicated to him is a game. you know he loves gaming, it's what he enjoys doing in the little downtime he gets, aside from doing things with you. even when he games, he finds a way to get you involved, like playing the game with him, or even just having you in his lap, the warmth emitting from you bringing him comfort he wishes he could spend all day feeling.

after a few seconds of falling in love all over again, all while staring at your sleeping figure on the bed, he decides to get some victory royals in, playing as quietly as possible to insure you don't wake up.

the next morning? he doesn't even mention it. the sweetheart realizes you probably want to surprise him with it, but he secretly checks your progress every night when he's sure you're soundly asleep.

and the day you drag him to the chair, tell him to cover his eyes, and surprise him with the game? his surprise is genuine. now heeseung was smart, yes, but he wasn't educated enough on the topic of coding to figure out how to run the program. he was already proud just by seeing your progress, the new lines of code being added to the project every night.

he plays that thing for hours. time for his weekly gaming session? you bet he's hopping on your game instead of fort. he's dedicated, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

once he finishes playing, he'll be begging you for another addition to the "dedicated to hee" series. you're so talented, could you blame the guy for wanting to play your games?

you'd never know how he's secretly so proud of you, how you're his pride and joy. how he brags to his friends, "yeah, my girlfriend codes games in her free time! she works so hard at her job and then makes games for me, she's my hardworking angel!"

if you did find out one day... he'd be shy for a couple of minutes, before stepping up and owning it. "well yeah, what'd you expect baby? you think your amazing skills would go unnoticed by my sharp eyesight?"

this is where you remind him that he actually wears glasses (he's amazingly attractive in them).

"they just help make my vision even better. that's how i found you... this!!" and he just pulls out the pastries you've been craving for months ever since your vacation to france.

and you're just like. baby??? where'd you get these??? i thought we could only find these in france??? and he's just like, told you, my vision's great.

a/n: second installment to this mini series! ill make the master list for it now. im aware this isn't like serious writing, and believe me, i can write seriously, but i thought starting off my account with some laid back, fun hcs would be a good way for me to actually start writing! im gonna start working on a few oneshots (with grammar and everything yes, trust, i cant stand reading oneshots or fics that don't have correct grammar and punctuation, all the things), but if you have any requests please do send! i need motivation to not procrastinate on writing these anyways lol.

it's a normal day 'n all, but it's special! jay got a day off from practice, and since the rest of the boys are all out meeting family and spending some time alone, he decided to come spend time with you!

nowadays, it's a bit rare to get full days with each other, the two of you only usually getting every other night to spend with each other, which always end in a tangle of limbs, giggles, and finally, sleep.

so this? great news! the two of you have been spending the day outside, arranging flower bouquets together, getting takoyaki, and even spending time at your local playground, peacefully swinging with your taiyaki in hand, the silence not much of a bother. your relationship's reached the point where you can just sit in silence for long periods of time and bask in the other's company, and that's truly heartwarming.

once the sun starts to set though, jay's offering you his hand, and you're both walking away from the barren landscape of the playground, hands swinging and soft words being exchanged.

and once you get home? surprise! on a special day like this, of course jay has to cook for you. the chef would never let such an opportunity like this go to waste. after much insisting from his side, you're sitting at the dining table, discreetly sneaking glances as he cooks. he's such a work of art. and his food, of course.

you think you're being super slick about your little glances, but jay catches them all, of course. he doesn't say anything, just decides to continue cooking, little chuckles leaving his lips every now and then when he catches you staring.

in a few minutes, he's bringing out two plates and handing one to you, before sitting directly next to you with a small smile, deciding it was time to repay you. so while you were leniently carving something from wood, his chin would come to rest on his hand as he watched you, taking note of the way you poked the inside of your cheek with your tongue, focused.

slowly though, his eyes drift to your hands, where he realizes what you're carving. it's a spoon! a pretty one for that matter. you're quietly whittling intricate details into the handle, and he's in awe just from watching you.

"this a hobby of yours?" he asks quietly, not wanting to disturb you while you work. he knows for a matter of fact that when you're seriously working, you prefer to not be disturbed.

you hum in a way that indicates 'yes', and he grins, looking back up at your face again. he can't help but admire how gorgeous you look when you're hard a work after all.

"what're you making baby?" he'd ask again, after a few seconds of silence. you take a moment to respond, putting your knife down and looking at jay with a silly little smile on your face. how he loved that smile of yours.

"a spoon! for you! i've just been really into wood carving 'n stuff lately... and i wanted to carve you things for the kitchen! it was supposed to be a surprise but... i guess i don't mind you knowing about it now." you'd ramble, not noticing how he was staring at you.

god, the way jay stares at you. it's like... it could melt you. he stares at you so intensely, like the brightness of the sun, that you can't ignore it, and you burst out into giggles when you can't take his staring anymore. he never knows why you're laughing though, and just laughs with you. clueless bby.

"i'm honored to be the recipient of your gifts." he says with a small chuckle, looking away for a second. acting as if you hadn't caught the tinge of pink dusting his face. he's so unaware, it's hilarious. "yeah, i can tell." you whisper with a sweet giggle, pressing a small kiss to the side of his face, causing his face to become inevitably redder.

and so you both finish dinner together, catching up on how life's been while the both of you were busy and away from each other. the night ends with the two of you becoming a tangle of limbs, as always.

at least that'll never change with the two of you. somehow, someway, every night will end with you both being in one another's arms.

neither of you would have it any other way.

special side notes:

whenever you'd be carving and accidentally cut yourself, he'd be there in a flash! arms around your waist, and your on the kitchen counter within seconds. he's already got the little band-aid pack and he's wiping the blood away, hushing your confused queries and wrapping the cut up nicely <3 would never let his baby get hurt while pursuing her hobbies.

that's also why he makes sure that you're always carving at home. so if you decide for a change of scenery and wanna carve outside, it's a requirement that you take him with you so he can be there to patch up your cuts.

aka, he's whipped.

when you both had first started dating, jake was quick to catch onto something he hadn't really expected from you, but nonetheless, it was adorable. you'd leave tiny teacup size plants around your shared apartment.

it wasn't obvious at first, but slowly he started to notice the crumbs of dirt here and there, and right next to said crumbs of dirt, he'd find small plants.

they were adorable! he didn't mention them at first, letting months go by as he'd quietly watch you water and coo at them as you dust off their fragile leaves, acting as if they were your children.

now that he thought about it, it was something he should've expected from you. you were a caring person, after all, so seeing you take care of small sprouts and vines reflected how you'd take care of him.

slowly but surely, he found himself caring for the plants when you were off at work too. the days he got back early from practice, he'd make sure to water all the plants around the apartment - which there were many of - so you could relax once you got home.

"mm, baby, lemme go water the plants real quick." you'd murmur one day after a recharging embrace provided by jake. his hugs always brought some life back into you on days specially like this, when you were stressed and exhausted.

"already did it for you love. dinner's ready too." he'd mumble as he hugged you a bit tighter, pressing a soft kiss to your head. you'd stay still for a few moments, the words still processing through your overworked brain.

"wait- huh??? you already watered them?" you'd ask in disbelief, craning your neck up to catch sight of the small smile adorning his lips.

"yeah baby. is it really that unbelievable that I would would take care of your plants? i'm hurt." he'd murmur, pouting, all just to see your reaction. his sweet little dove.

"no, no, of course not, I just... thank you, love." you'd whisper, pressing a light kiss to his neck in a silent way of showing your gratitude. small things like this that he did for you really just made your day.

and so when you came home one day and he led you up the stairs to your apartment's rooftop... wow, you would've never expected this.

flowers and crates decorated the floor of the concrete roof, bags of dirt and shovels in a corner, and when you looked up, you'd realized he'd strung up lights from each side of the roof on wooden dowels. all for you.

and for some reason - maybe because you were a sentimental person at heart, or just a crybaby - you broke into tears. cried and cried in his arms, until the two of you would be laughing on the ground as he kissed your tears away.

for jake, he just loved showing his love for you through actions and words, and it seemed his efforts had paid off.

so for the next few months, the two of you would spend time on the rooftop, planting new flowers and vines, and he'd occasionally bring layla, his dog, with you guys too (at least, when he could convince the land lord to let her in).

every month, you'd also both have a picnic, a blanket on the floor to shield your skin from the rough texture of the concrete, strawberries passed to one another, before lips met, and all you could taste afterwards was strawberries and him.

that's all you needed after all - just him.

and he could say the same for you.
