She's on a mission to create inclusion and equity for these communities through The Inclusion Initiative. This remarkable platform was born from Grace's own struggles in the professional world. Despite her hard work and excellence, she faced unique hurdles as a woman of color and a transracial adoptee. The opportunity gap she encountered kept her professionally behind her peers, affecting her wealth-building, family aspirations, and overall life goals. The Inclusion Initiative stands as a beacon of hope and support, specifically designed for transracial adoptees and former foster youth. i suppress my appetite

popping gum with my teeth

I hated menthol as a kid

mechanic mint hurting my head,

violating my lungs

but now,

becoming my father,

my mother,

my legacy

i pull on nicotine to give myself energy

I’m not the person 10 year old me wanted to be

but i am safe;

only breathing liquid amphetamine

but,

i hope one day i get sick off this nicotine

i hope my body rejects the idea of what i think was eventually gonna happen to me

science doesn’t have to prove it,

i feel the changes in my body

the grit in the floor starts speaking:

“when did you stop being happy?”

“when did you stop writing poetry?”

so i hope the grit keeps talking:

“when did you want to become me?”

In my current solo exhibit at Audis Husar my painting “October Path” is part of an ongoing series of artworks about seeking peace and justice in a world in need of harmony. The mountain peaks of Northern Thailand, rising above the city of Chiang Mai, are often caught in an early morning sea of fog. “October Path” is set in this mist shrouded landscape. Two Buddhist monks in saffron robes appear and then seem to merge with the air. The color of their robes is considered the color of illumination or satori — the highest wisdom. How the Light Gets In Paintings by Gregg Chadwick A new solo exhibition of Gregg Chadwick's art at Audis Husar Fine Art in Beverly Hills. The Good Lord called home my Mama, Mrs. Ardelia Cunningham Swanson, 24 years ago today.

In her 92+ years of life here on Earth, I give her honor of being a faithful daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mother.

Also, she spent 40+ years of countless untold stories being a mother and grandmother to numerous children, from crying newborns to hardheaded teenagers.

Yeah, she was that woman in the neighborhood.

Her home was open to those whom God directed to her.

The one who, even the caseworkers showed up unannounced with a kid or two or three, for her care. 💞

Because they knew her home was safe and her hugs were warm and her kitchen table fed an army from that backyard garden.

So I'm asking my social media family and friends, in this closing month of May, for an hour or a day, to please change your profile photo or cover photo to represent Foster Care Awareness Month.
