I’ve been “studying” action and form scenes a bit more lately for work. Basically just diving into action webtoons to see how artists set up and execute action scenes.
It’s not too different from emotional scenes or romance scenes. Rarely is the action “frame” not preceded by a setup frame or accentuated by a follow-up reaction cut.
That’s one of the reasons I like webtoons. Being freed from page restrictions allows artists to be more cinematic and liberal with how they draw action sequences (or anything else for that mtater).
