                        In Klaus’s many centuries of existing, he’d never really found a reason to celebrate the holiday season. It was a time for being with family and a time for sharing what one is truly grateful for. What could the hybrid be truly grateful for if his family only seemed to pose a threat to him at every turn? The answer lies within the irony of being grateful for the daggers he possesses to keep them in line and out of his life. For him, the perfect holiday tended to be a night to himself and an expensive bottle of bourbon.

                       Things had changed, though. Drastically. He actually had his family and people worth giving a damn about. For the first time in a very long time, he didn’t feel completely alone. Perhaps that’s what inspired his spontaneous idea of a Christmas party. Not a gala that was orchestrated to be a symbol of something to the public, bur rather an intimate gathering just for family and friends. All of them.

                       As he sat in the driver’s seat of his black Range Rover, he contemplated whether or not it was actually a mistake. After all, it was because of that party that he was now on the road in search of a grand turkey, goose, or even a ham for their dinner, with his only companion being Freya. ❝ I don’t understand how every butcher shop is closed. Yes, it’s a holiday, but isn’t that their most profitable day of the year?? At the very least, if I could just talk to someone in person, at least I could compel them to run this insufferable errand. ❞

I get it, because I can be hesitant to talk to people sometimes, but this thing of people being too shy to communicate and then building something tiny up in their head that ruins potential friendships has gotta stop. It's so easy to accidentally do without realizing you're doing it, like such-and-such didn't answer a meme I sent or didn't do a starter so therefore they hate me/they're an asshole etc. I think everyone's just gotta remember that people are people and have other stuff going on, and it's pretty unlikely that they have a problem with YOU, so go talk to them about it or about something else; it doesn't automatically mean they don't like you or you won't end up friends. 9 times outta 10, if you throw a vine at them like 'look it's ur muse' or whatever, you'll find it's all good and was nothing to get worked up about.
