ironically i don’t actually like miranda ships that have her with anyone who’s too passive or eager to please. that just feels like a recipe for disaster for me, because even though miranda very sincerely tries very hard to make people happy and to accommodate for them, she’s also... well, miranda. she has her own very specific ideas on what is wrong and what should be done to help, and anyone who will lay down and let miranda do whatever she wants without ever raising a fuss or calling her out will quickly discover how miranda can and will trample over boundaries that she wasnt told about.
its kind of weird to talk about i suppose, because its not a dynamic that comes up in ships all that often, but in experience from my own relationships, sometimes you need someone who won’t take your shit! sometimes you need someone who’s a little combative! and i don’t necessarily mean arguments or fights in the traditional sense either, but rather a kind of boldness and a lack of fear that comes with someone who isnt afraid of you or the possibility of having a fight.
and likewise there’s another extreme to this, where someone is too upfront and aggressive about confronting miranda about her issues, because she’s just... she’s in the kind of situation associated with a very particular headspace and a way of looking at the world, and all of which involve her being told that there are people who will disagree upon these things with her, and that she should immediately shut their arguments down and refuse to budge and dig her claws in deeper and deeper. trying to push someone who’s in that kind of high control group situation too hard often only ends up forcing them deeper in, confirming how hostile and terrifying the outside world is and that it can’t be trusted, that only the high control group can be trusted.
so there has to be a middle ground between total passivity and outright rejection, and it’s the very specific space of being challenged in a way that feels safe and even secure. someone who will not walk all over you, but will not let you walk all over them either, who will question things that should be questioned but will not shove an answer in.
it’s why i don’t really like shipping miranda with any of the PCs — their primary, defining character trait is a willingness to do whatever and say whatever it is to get the object of their affections, and while i certainly imagine miranda loves to have people fight over her and her affections, i can’t see it working out long term in the slightest. there are two people in every relationship, after all, and thus both of them have to be considered as their own independent entities with their own emotional and mental worlds and needs. all too often in ships people will either treat the PCs as non-entities or miranda as a non-entity, and it just doesn’t work out for me, imo. if i wanted to just focus on one or the other, i would just focus on one or the other
all of this being why miravi actually works so much better for me, although certainly there are other ships that reach the same end. aaravi’s definitely the kind of person to immediately show how displeased she is whenever something happens that she doesn’t want or when someone is trying to make her do something that she doesn’t want to do, and these dual traits of being combative and very vocal about it immediately mean that miranda can’t say that she wasn’t aware or that she missed some cue.
likewise, aaravi makes her wants and needs very quickly known and won’t let someone else force her away from them, so there is an alternative path that becomes very clear, and forces miranda into a point of negotiation to figure out something that can work between the both of them. meanwhile, aaravi, in being more standoffish, has the greater attitude of other people can do whatever so long as it doesn’t get in her way, which helps prevent the issue i was talking about in forcibly taking miranda’s hand and leading her to something, and how this often has the opposite of the intended effect. aaravi, in being a bit more of a token “lone wolf” type who wants to demonstrate how much she doesn’t need other people (even despite evidence to the contrary), actually helps miranda in trusting her further and seeing her as an equal since aaravi is neither trying to gain her approval and love, thus treating her as a superior, nor trying to push her around to make the “correct” decisions and be the “correct” type of person, thus treating her as an inferior.
she’s just... aaravi, and will quarrel and push back if miranda tries to overstep, but won’t expect anything from her in turn. even if this is ultimately because of some pessimistic view on aaravi’s side and an assumption that the world is solely out to get her, it does work out in miranda’s case, sort of leading me back to my whole point of mutually compatible damage. it’s easier for each of them to intuit what the other needs and what is too far after these initial boundaries have been set, because they have an easier time seeing where the other is coming from after they actually start talking. in a weird way, they’re both already familiar and aware of the tropes that the other is playing off of, as aaravi in playing a token video game protagonist role, is already aware of the trope of the princess with the evil family, and miranda in playing a fairytale princess role, is already familiar with the knight or hero who was pushed into this role and uncertain of their own humanity or goodness. its an extra little layer of understanding where each one is coming from, without necessarily needing to elevate or suppress the other’s position.
TL;DR: i don’t like a lot of miranda ships because elevating her and treating her as a superior is just as dehumanizing as debasing and treating her as an inferior, and the best miranda ships, in my mind, strike a balance between the two characters where they treat each other as equals

Transformers Animated: Morning Star: Chapter 02: The Alternative
Greenblade hadn’t been a fan of the whole idea of seeking refuge on a maintenance ship but considering their lack of funds and things to trade, the old yellow and red ship containing a batch of maintenance bots were really all they had to choose from. It was different than they were used to.
Convincing the captain of the ship, a Prime at that, had been difficult enough, especially with the medic bot, an old, white, and red bot seeming to wait for rust to set in, had been the first one against it. Apparently, according to the annoying yellow bot, they weren’t the first asteroid-hikers the maintenance bots had picked up on their route. As it turned out, the maintenance bots had been the reason why the black and cold bi-pedal bot had to rely on them for transportation due to an incident that resulted in his own ship being destroyed. She pitied him. She truly did. Whether he felt the same towards her, he didn’t let on. She didn’t pry either.
Blueflame on the other servo, had been all too happy to meet the acquaintance of the five mechs, enough so that Greenblade had learned their names off by spark. The leader, Optimus Prime, who didn’t seem all that keen on explaining why exactly a Prime was leading a spacebridge maintenance team. Ratchet, the old and grouchy medic. Prowl, the forced travel companion. Bulkhead, the bulbous oaf, and finally, the irritating chatterbox, Bumblebee. She found that her personal preferences led her to stay close to Prowl, whom, as it turned out, was a ninja bot.
Greenblade had received stellarcycles of sword, stealth and other sorts of training, all for the sake of her sister, so she found having a decent sparring partner made the trip a little more worthwhile. Optimus had told them that it would take a long while to get the sisters where they needed to go, but that it would eventually be on their route, so they didn’t mind all that much. With the way Bumblebee ogled her sister, Greenblade was certain that he definitely didn’t mind the thought of the journey being delayed. The thought alone was enough to tighten her servo around the hilt of her sword, the sight of him happily chirping away at Blueflame’s audio angering her to her core.
She couldn’t blame her sister for seeking some form of companionship, considering that the only other youngling she ever really had contact with, was her. Their parents had kept Blueflame separate for stellarcycles, and now that she finally had the opportunity to gain freedom from them and their memories, she was taking full advantage of it.
A part of her envied her sister’s easy adjustment to their current wanderers status. She wished that she too could simply toss all she knew aside and just relax for once, to simply sit down and chat with one of the five mechs like they were old friends. Cycles of being trained to do the opposite had her on constant edge, so much so that the medic had begun to notice. He had offered to give her something for her jumpiness, but she had denied him in that regard. He had simply shrugged and gone off to do something else instead.
From the haunted look in his optics and the scars sticking to his frame, especially the missing half of the chevron on his forehelm, indicated that he had possibly been involved in the old war against the Decepticons. He confirmed it earlier that cycle when he caught the Prime watching some old footage of the war, scolding him for wanting to know what war felt like.
As payment for their travel, the sisters had to help clear the debris from the spacebridges the ship was forced to maintain. Greenblade was no stranger to hard work, so she took the task easier than Blueflame, who, for once forbidden from using her ability, hacked at the asteroid like a sparkling trying to figure out why a toy wasn’t lighting up. She found it amusing, to see her oh-so-greatly-revered younger sister struggling with something for once in her life, but instead of giving up and pouting in a corner like she originally thought Blueflame would do, the inexperienced femme happily took on the challenge, grinning like a content youngling whenever Bumblebee or Bulkhead tossed praises her way.
She often found Prowl focusing more on his meditation than actually helping out but considering that he was the only one forced to travel alongside the maintenance bots, she left him to it. Blueflame, with the backing of her formerly mentioned cheer squadron, often tried encouraging him to help out. Surprisingly, it actually worked at times, and made the effort much less on the rest of them.
At one point Blueflame had asked Optimus why they couldn’t just use the spacebridge to go straight where they needed to. His excuse was that the spacebridges were to remain offline because of their sole purpose being for the benefit of the Autobot Elite Guard under the guise of security reasons. Personally Greenblade didn’t believe him, thinking that the actual reason lay in it possibly causing too much traffic throughout space, but she kept her opinion to herself.
Normally the seven of them worked without much interaction, yet today it seemed that the mechs were in some kind of competitive mood. Bumblebee tried showing off for Blueflame by using his stingers in the flashy way only he seemed to have perfected. Blueflame had secretly begged for permission to use her ability, but Greenblade had shut her down fast with the fact that they needed to keep what she could do a secret.
At times she had the inkling feeling that her sister might have shown what she was capable of to the show-off mech but considering how difficult it seemed for him to keep his motor shut, he had no idea. Good. She didn’t feel up to explaining the real possible reason why the two of hem had snuck away on a maintenance ship instead of waiting on a transporter instead. Primus knew there were enough of those going around ever since the war against the Decepticons ended all those deca-cycles ago.
Greenblade had been relying on an old axe Optimus had found lying around in storage. There was no way she was going to damage her sword with stubborn boulders clinging onto the only emergency transportation system the Autobots had. She was just about to swing the tool down, ignoring the rest of the mix-and-match team when Optimus broke open one of said boulders, causing a blast of light to nearly blind all of them upon its moment of freedom.
One of them questioned what it was, but from the horrified look on the medic’s faceplate, it was clear he knew just exactly what the large orange container was.
“Ratchet?” Optimus’ voice broke through her thoughts, snapping her out of the trance the container seemed to set her under. “What is it?”
“The Allspark…” Ratchet breathed, almost as if he himself couldn’t believe what was right in front of his very optics. Bumblebee and Bulkhead were the first to exchange questionable glances between each other.
“The Allspark? But that’s only a myth, isn’t it?” Blueflame asked, nearly causing Greenblade to flinch at her sister’s ignorance. It seemed her mother hadn’t taught her everything Greenblade had been forced to learn at the academy. A glance between all of them, save for Ratchet, left the mechs assuming that the Allspark being something from a legendary tale was simply the version she had been told. Greenblade wasn’t going to explain anything to them. They could figure that part out on their own.
“Get it on board. Get it on board right now!” Ratchet ordered, his pinchers sliding out from their protective casing in his wrist plating. The rest of them barely had a chance to react as Bumblebee and Bulkhead helped the medic to get the container inside, the rest of them following in shortly after.
The ship blasted away from the asteroid whilst Optimus contacted the head honcho himself, Ultra Magness, leader of the Autobots, and commander of the Primes. She would have felt intimidated, if it weren’t for the fact that a different bot answered the communication hail instead. Some bot named Sentinel Prime. From the sound of it, he and Optimus didn’t seem to be on the best terms.
Without thinking, Greenblade forced Blueflame behind her, hiding her out of sight from the second Prime. From the sound of it, the second Prime didn’t seem to be aware of who was allowed to be on the ship and who wasn’t.
Blueflame had tried protesting against all the shoving, but Greenblade had gotten her into the same room as the Allspark. Blueflame hadn’t been happy about it, but a silent glare from her older sister had her shutting up and dealing with it.
The crew was ordered to take the Allspark somewhere, and the first thing Greenblade did was pull out her sword and hold it to the Prime’s throat plating. The mechs around them stood in shock, only Ratchet and Prowl ready to try and fight against her if it came down to deciding whether the Prime’s life fuel would be spilled or not.
“Greenblade, what is this-” Optimus began, his servos raised beside him in surrender. She cut him off by ensuring the side of her blade pressed right against the silver of his neck.
“Listen Prime, you have your orders, and I respect that, truly I do, but me and my sister have someplace we need to be. It’s only because you and your crew have agreed to take us there that we didn’t cause any problems for you, but if you choose to deviate from the original course, I’m afraid you will have a mutiny on your servos.”
“Uh, wouldn’t she need to be, you know, part of the crew to do that?” Bumblebee questioned, making her wish she could cast a glare in his direction. The first rule of fighting kept her from doing so. Never take your eyes off your opponent. Besides the Prime, the ninja bot was probably the only one that stood a chance of fighting her. She preferred not going ped-to-ped with any of them at the moment, not while it could potentially put her ward at risk.
Optimus ignored the younger bot, casting his blue optics towards her. He was handsome, there was no denying that, but she was a femme with a mission, and if it meant snuffing out the spark of some bot getting in her way, then so be it.
“Greenblade, now really isn’t the time to-”
“I’m not fooling around Prime. After you drop the two of us off, you and your little crew can go along your merry way, but I am not letting anyone, Autobot, Prime or even fragging Ultra Magness himself get in my way.”
For a nano click it seemed like the Prime was about to consider her request – or demand at this point – when, out of nowhere, the ship tilted to the side, sending them all sprawling into the closest object to try and regain their balance. Her first and only thought was concern for her sister’s safety before the ship’s computer, Teletraan One, pulled up footage of their attacker, the reigning Dark Ruler of the Decepticons, Megatron himself.

Stranger Things (2)
Pairing: Baekhyun x fem!Reader ft. Kyungsoo, Mark Lee, Jongdae (if you squint)

A/N: This was not supposed to happen but four people asked for it and that’s really all it takes to get me to do something. I was SO tempted to title this - Of Cowsheds and Corgis!! This fic is ridiculous and very predictable but I gave up on the angst I was writing for this because ridiculous is just what I need right now. I truly hope you’re all safe and healthy!
Word Count: ~ 1.6k
Chapters:  One | Two | Three | Four (Final)
Tumblr media
Groaning, you put down your second ‘fruit platter’ with a deliberate clang on Kyungsoo’s bedside table. Nothing. “Yah! Did you catch narcolepsy in that ridiculously mind numbing hamlet?” The skinny end of your chopstick slowly made its way to the sole of his left foot. Still nothing. Panic swelled within you and you crawled over to his side to check his breathing. He was breathing, alright.
“Eomma!” You bellowed. Maybe it was time for the third medley of diced apples and bananas.
Still nothing.
***
“Sloth.” You took a jibe at a barely awake Kyungsoo.
“Creep.”
“Creep?”
“You were watching me sleep!”
“I was waiting for you to wake up! There’s a difference, Snorlax.”
“Patience - -”, his mouth fell open in a huge yawn.
“Isn’t my greatest virtue. Yeah, I know. You’ve said it a million times. It’s etched in my heart. I’ll get it tattooed across my forehead. Now spill.”
For a moment Kyungsoo looked confused before diving into his fruit platter with a half-suppressed snicker.
“What?” You attacked his stupid bespectacled face with a pillow. When was the last time he got a change of glasses? He’s worn this thick-rimmed atrocity forever. Although the man was optically challenged, his hearing was more than just fine. He was quick to spot the hint of defensiveness in your tone and his heart shaped smile had a reputation of showing up only when you were in deep trouble. “Ahhhhh….my case? The bank is entitled to a lien on the adjoining cowshed - ”
You cut in with a long impatient sigh. “Kyungsoo, sweetie, can we talk about corgis for now?”
“Chubs”, you undid your messy bun at the sound of that horrendous nickname, “you’ve got a bad case of --- honestly whatever this is. You spent two hours with him. Two.”
“Squishy, I’m not three anymore. I am a woman now.” His face contorted into an expression of disgust. “Stop. Calling me. Chubs.” Interjecting every word by striking his shoulder with your feeble wrist, you noticed how ‘un-Squishy’ he’d gotten over the past one year. “And I know all there is to know...about your 174 cm tall friend who struts around like he’s no less than 185. But that’s not him...that’s Handsome Mr. Park, his partner.”
“Stalker!” Kyungsoo’s eyes grew wide in horror and he flicked your forehead very, very hard.
Swallowing your cry of pain, you pinched his ear with all your might, making him wince. “It’s called content curation. If you ever happen to meet a lovelorn village belle ….let me know, yeah? I’m willing to put up my skills to offer. For a fee, of course.”
“YAH!” He freed himself from your grasp. “Behave! You’re not three anymore, right? Tell me...how much do you know about Baekhyun?” He was curious. Slightly panic-struck, even. But you couldn’t tell why.
“I will tell you but I need to know something before that. Has he - Doh Kyungsoo I swear to God I will bury you alive if you so much as smile - has he mentioned me at all?” You felt your face flame and a part of you really did not want to know the answer to that.
Kyungsoo sucked the insides of his cheeks in and said, “He thinks you’re interesting.”
You knew 'interesting', almost always, was nothing but a euphemism for weird. Ignoring the tender ache in your chest you said, "Well, I think he looks a lot like his corgi Mongryong. Mum has invited you to dinner tomorrow. Later, Squish." You pulled him in a bear hug, picked up the two, now polished, plates and walked out of Kyungsoo's room, slowly closing the door behind you.
"Eomma, Kyungsoo will be joining us for dinner -"
"Chubs, wait!" He hurried out of his room and handed you a rather heavy C4 size envelope. "My dentist appointment has been moved to today and I had to drop these documents off at Byun Park's", after a small pause he hesitantly continued, "he won't be there."
"Who won't be there?" Kyungsoo’s mother eyed the both of you suspiciously.
You couldn’t say no to the illustrious prince of a family who fed you a whole carton of organic fruits a while ago. At least not in front of the matriarch.
"It's nothing Eomma… it's Kyungsoo's friend Byun Baekhyun. Yah! Doh Kyungsoo! Stop acting like he's my ex boyfriend."
***
Your heart raced as you stepped into the elevator of the swanky commercial building. Pushing the button for the 27th floor, you turned around to examine yourself in the mirror feeling frumpy and underdressed in your faded yellow sweater and mom-jeans. The ding of the elevator jolted your heart and your mouth went dry as you lay your eyes on the blond haired man standing in front of you. You wanted nothing more than to snake your arm around Doh Kyungsoo’s neck and put him in a tight chokehold until he begged for mercy -- at this point you weren’t very keen on letting go of the imaginary, gasping for breath, blue in the face, Doh Kyungsoo. He won’t be there??
“Hi”, you said stepping out of the elevator but what you really wanted to say was ‘I want to delete myself’.
“Airport Girl!” He jested. You didn’t feel very apologetic anymore or even underdressed for that matter since the partner of a snooty law firm thought that a long sleeved jersey with bib shorts were an acceptable choice of clothing. Nevertheless, you properly introduced yourself and did what was long overdue.
“I am sorry about the other day and -- ” You briefly waited for him to cut you off with a ‘Don’t worry about it’ or even dismiss it with loud ‘hahaha’ but instead his little eyebrow raise insisted you complete your apology. “And I shouldn’t have - -”
“Airport Girl, I notice you have a problem completing your sentences.” Resting his hands on his hips he cocked his head to the side. That vaguely familiar annoying smirk made your skin crawl.
“Byun Baekhyun-ssi, I am here to see Lee Min Hyung. I am supposed to hand over Kyungsoo’s documents to him. I hope you’re working hard on my friend’s case. He really needs that cowshed back, he’s paid the broker’s fee in full for it. I hope this was coherent enough for you.” His smirk stretched into a genuine smile as he inched closer to you. Uncomfortable as you were standing in an enclosed space and conversing with a man in bib shorts, the diminished distance from his two small strides made you squirm. You could practically smell his cologne.
“I’ll forgive you if you agree to come cycling with me. Right now.”
“Absolutely not. Can I go see Lee Min Hyung now?”
“MARK LEE!” Baekhyun bellowed. The unsparing luminous smile on his face wasn’t doing any favours to the health of your heart. Within seconds, a bespectacled young lad who looked like he hadn’t slept a wink for days came rushing to his side. So Byun Baekhyun worked his employees to the bone while he himself took hiking trips in absurd outfits.
He put an arm around the frail boy and introduced the fresh law graduate to you, “This is my main man Mark Lee from Canada.” Violently thumping Mark’s back he continued, “Madam’s here with Doh Kyungsoo’s documents. Take her inside and go over the file. Check if anything’s missing and most importantly, offer her something cold to drink.” Letting go of Mark, he said to you with a wink, “I’ll be waiting in the lobby, Airport Girl. Or you’re never losing the nickname.”
***
Mark Lee’s involuntary metamorphosis from scaredy cat to ferocious lion cub in the conference room took you by surprise. While going over Kyungsoo’s documents like a hawk focused on its prey, he dutifully put a glass of ice water in front of you just as instructed by Byun Baekhyun. It was nothing more than a courtesy call. “Doh Kyungso-ssi’s personal documents all look okay -- ID card, bank statements, transaction information, realtors invoice, property possession documents.” You lost him at ‘realtor’s invoice’. “Seems to me, the realtor tricked him - - why did he not get due diligence done before investing in property? How could he not notice that the title deed does not extend to the cowshed?” Mark Lee was furious….at you.
“He’s just a simple man with simple dreams who wanted to trade his city existence for a quiet rural homestead and grow organic cucumbers, I guess? Why don’t you give him a call and --”
Mark Lee’s paw met the desk in a loud smack, startling you. “A simple due diligence would’ve saved him the hassle - -”
You weren’t exactly sure of the reason Byun Baekhyun thought you’d need a cold drink but he was so right, everything else seemed wrong. You took a rather large gulp of water, snatched Mark Lee’s notepad from his firm grasp and scribbled Kyungsoo’s number in it. “Here’s Doh Kyungsoo’s number. Call him if you need anything further.” You rose from your chair and eyed him sympathetically. “Take care, Mark Lee and please don’t skip meals.”
***
He waited for you, just as he’d promised. He somehow managed to look just as stunning in that funny costume as he did when you saw him at the airport. “Let’s go. Half an hour with that enthu cutlet Mark Lee and I need to feel the wind in my hair. How do you manage?”
“Yah! Airport Girl. He’s my best and brightest.” Sounding like a proud parent he guided you to the parking lot. The guilt weighing your heart down compelled you to ask, “What about Yoona?”
“She’ll be joining us.” Baekhyun quipped nonchalantly, opening the door to his Audi for you.
It was at that exact moment you said a silent prayer to a certain 3rd generation male idol to strike you with lightning and put you out of your misery.

CORRUPTUS
[directory]
graven images.
[source] [triggers]
If you really believe in something, it can be yours.
That's how we've been conditioned to think. Mostly, I suppose it's a coping mechanism to keep us from eating the rich. We all think we'll be rich someday if we just want it hard enough. How long has it been since there was a good, old-fashioned culling of the wealthy elite?
That probably wasn't a good way to start this blog post... I'm more than a little tired, but fuck it. I'm leaving it.
"Corruptus".
That was the subject of an email I received before my ISP dropped me. My phone turned into a brick the same day. Hell, I think it was the same precise moment, though it's difficult to know for sure since I only tried it after my laptop couldn't connect.
"Corruptus"... I'd never heard the word before, and to be honest I'm not exactly sure it IS a word at all. It could be Latin. It sounds like Latin. I haven't been able to look it up, and this is the first time I'm getting on the web since my unexpected removal from the grid.
I tried to sign on at the local library, by the way. My card was revoked... unpaid late fees for books I'd never read, much less checked out. Mostly borderline fetish material and self-help books for various mental illnesses. The apparently quite detailed tome on weapons of mass destruction seemed to be of the most concern for the librarian.
I hung around the library for maybe a half an hour, until someone left a computer logged in and unguarded. When I went to check my email, to tweet a complaint about what happened, those accounts were gone, as well. Honestly, I was a pretty huge dumbass for expecting them to be there.
It wasn't long before I noticed the computer's rightful user pointing me out at the front desk. I guess she wasn't a fan of the direct approach. I was out the door before anyone could cause a real fuss.
It's been over two years since I left Mowgli's Palace and never looked back.
The original blog post has come and gone so much... across so many different sites... that I can barely even remember the first place I tried to host it. If I'd known how far this would go, I don't know if I would've been able to hack out that clumsy, flawed account of what happened. The pressure would've been too great, and I suppose there's a certain level of comfort in the idea no one will actually see or care about your work.
It seems like a lot of sites removed the information, either upon direct request from Disney... or on their own in fear of reprisal. I know a really popular YouTuber who pulled readings of my posts from his channel. The rumor was that someone threatened to sue him, some supposed "author" of the "story". Bullshit. I know first-hand that he took it down in a bout of pants-shitting fear when he realized Disney's connection to his partner company.
I tried to keep up my "After Abandoned" blog for a while. I don't know how many people out there saw my notes on Room Zero, Club 22, and so on. They're still around if you look... at least at the time of this writing.
Yes, "Club 22" exists. No, it's not a typo of "Club 33". I later learned, from the same contact, that there's an 11 as well, and supposedly the debauchery only grows as the numbers get lower. I heard of a "Club 00", but I can't confirm that as clearly as I can with the previous contact. I also don't know if it has any connection to the "Room" of a similar name.
Yes, the door probably said "Characters" or "Cast Members" instead of "Mascots". I know, I know, I hear you all. Thank you so much for that. I'm sure your memory is crystal clear in moments of abject terror, right?
Overall, I'm glad that my words have spread so far and wide... but the down side is that so few of you are taking this seriously. I can't stress this enough... Treasure Island? Real. The Utilidors? Real. Just because you can't substantiate the rest doesn't mean it's "a cool story". Instead of picking apart the inaccuracies and making games about how cool it would be to have been in my position, maybe people can start taking this seriously and digging into what's going on.
Maybe?
I don't know. I don't want this to be a rant. I want to stay focused and make sure I post exactly what I wanted to make public. All of the stress... the stalkers, the phone calls, the broken windows... I know that's all supposed to keep me off track. They want me confused, scared, and most of all they want me quiet.
There's a team of men and women in suits that I've seen at random times. Here and there. I call them "The Focus Group" because they pop up with clipboards and pens, taking notes about everything I do. They all have the same outfits, the same thick-rimmed nerd glasses, the same red pens that just scream "we're judging you".
The first time I noticed them, they were following me through the Mall. I looped and turned, trying to be SURE they were following me... and there they were, every step of the way. Days later, I spotted them again in the laundromat window across from my new apartment.
I chased one down, once. The tubbiest one. They stayed silent through the entire chase and even the scuffle that ensued. When I wrenched the clipboard from his hand, I only found page after page of off-kilter, random gibberish coupled with crude Mickey silhouettes. All in the same red ink.
I know it sounds insane, to say that a group of men and women in black are following me and taking nonsense notes, but I think that's the point. I think the idea is that it SHOULD drive me insane, and if it doesn't, you'll still think I'm crazy just for saying it.
It's a no-win situation.
I will forever regret that trip to Emerald Isle, but on the other hand I'll always be grateful to the people who have come forward, anonymously, to share their experiences with me. Whoever mailed me the suggestion box from the resort is basically my hero at this point. To read what I'd written about the place and still brave the journey... wow. I can't imagine how that felt, whoever you may be. You even left the original, corroded lock in the box so I'd know it was legit. To do all of that without even taking a look inside for yourself must've been really hard. Thank you.
If you haven't noticed, I'm treating this post a lot like my "final installment". There's a reason for that. I don't know how long I can keep subverting Disney's attempts at silencing me before some sort of final action is taken. I have no doubt that somewhere, at this very moment, someone is using my identity to commit a crime that would discredit me. That, or the men in white jackets are about to show me a lovely little padded cell. I don't know what's going to come of this, and that's the worst part I suppose. All I know is that it's coming.
So what is "Corruptus"? Well, as I mentioned it was the title of an email I received. One that was presumably deleted along with my account. It was blank, and seemed to exist for the sole purpose of placing an attached text document in my hands.
Too bad for the powers that be... I had already printed it the moment I saw it.
Not much they can do to reverse that, can they?
I should've mentioned... remember that library? I used their copier to run off a few thousand duplicates of that letter. A few hundred are stapled in random places, a few hundred were passed out to random people, and the rest... let's leave those as a little surprise. Have fun trying to stifle THAT, you horrible mouse-fuckers.
Without any more rambling, here's the letter. Word for word. It arrived from a source whose email address I won't disclose... though I assume it's an untraceable dummy account, anyway.

A complete list of suspected CORRUPTUS incidents and reports may be available.
It took a few readings before I could get my head around this. Essentially, if the attached file was to be believed, then the events I had experienced were not part of an isolated incident. The events within Room Zero... the Gascots... they seem like part of a much larger problem.
What is "Corruptus"?
Corruption. I mean, I don't need to run Google Translate for that, even if I felt like I COULD take a break from writing without the risk of someone finding and disconnecting me at any moment.
Corruption of what? Dreams? Ideas? Desires?
I've never been a religious man, but I was dragged to Sunday School more than enough times to know about Golden Calves. False Gods created by man... icons, graven images...
Characters. Mascots.
If you believe in the Bible at all, and I'm not sure I do, especially not after what I've seen... then maybe God wasn't angry because people worshiped other things. Maybe he was afraid. Maybe if enough people believe in something hard enough, there's a chance it will come to be. Since we're naturally flawed beings, that means there's a very good chance such a thing would become corrupted.
If you think about it, Disney's animated films have always had one overriding message.
Clap your hands and believe hard enough, and Tinkerbell will live. When you wish upon a star... anything your heart desires...
People like to say Disney has some connection to Satanism, but I never bought into that. I still don't. I think they've been trying to create that Golden Calf... a God-Idol that everyone believes in... one that everyone loves... It's almost as if any dream or idea that is shared by enough human hearts and minds has a real chance of being born into the world.
The creatures... if any exist beyond what I saw with my own eyes... I think they're the deformed half-starts. Random manifestations of some dark, unquantifiable non-life that seeped into our state of being. They're mistakes of reality. Cosmic abortions.
The Corrupted.
Did everyone in Emerald Isle harbor such a negative impression of Mowgli's palace? How potent was the fear of nuclear war on the day Room Zero became full? If you want to find Gascots and mystery voices, does that search bring about the very thing you're looking for?
How many children have been disappointed, confused, or scarred for life when they saw Mickey without his "head"?
These are questions I'm never going to be able to answer. I don't know if anyone can. Speaking personally, this will probably be the last time I talk to you about Disney and everything I've learned about them. I'm truly sorry for that, especially since there's so much more I could say... unconfirmed rumors, documents and items I received that now seem to be gone forever...
I thought they were just trying to contain that Mickey costume. I thought that's why they went out of their way to keep the public in the dark about so much. Why they coerced and bullied to get their way.
Now I realize I was wrong.
It was this, all along.
They didn't want anything like THIS getting out.
I wish you all good luck, and I know I need the same from you.
Thank you.

Synthetic Life Chapter 30
I want to say thanks to everyone for being so patient. April was a hard month for me with real life. Things should be more smoother in this month.
Thanks, @lonemaximal, I loved the Daffodil drawing.
Within a dark room, the white armored Autobot medic stepped back. He sighed, blue optics focused on the figure laying in front of him. Knock Out's armor covered in bandages; hiding scars, dents, and scruff marks. Ratchet brushed his servos of Energon; he looked at the former Decepticon's face. Thick scars darkened his white faceplates. If Knock Out found out, Ratchet groaned before turning away. “You went through a lot, Knock Out.” Ratchet mused. (He exited the room, closing a door and locking it.
Voices echoed down the hall Ratchet was walking through. He entered the main room, finding the Autobots hanging out with their partners. Miko and Bulkhead cheered as cars fell from the heavy weight of roaring monster trucks. Raf and Bumblebee racing RC cars, Jack alongside Arcee observing the little race. The medic sighed before approaching Optimus. The Prime focused on the Space Bridge controls. Giving a faint cough, Ratchet stared at Optimus as he turned) “Ratchet.” Optimus paused. (All optics and eyes at the white armored Autobot)
“I've managed to stabilize Knock Out, he'll be recovering soon.” Ratchet said. “So, when will we talk with him?” Bulkhead asked. “I don't know, the damage caused by Megatron is major. Need to keep an optic on him and see if there any changes.” Ratchet said. “Where are Wheeljack and Smokescreen?” Miko asked. “It's strange, could be more major damage then we expected.” Ratchet said. “We will wait a little more.” Optimus replied.
(Two white armored figures walked across a frozen forest. Smokescree looked at Wheeljack; blue optics focused on the Wrecker) “Will you begin the story?” Smokescreen asked. (Wheeljack nodded, looking at the damaged Jackhammer) “The Stunticons, they were quite the family; we knew each other a long time ago. Far before the war began.” Wheeljack started. “How did you meet?” Smokescreen asked. “At school, we were still in our early years.” Wheeljack explained. “Where did you live?” Smokescreen asked. “At Iacon, not the nicer part though; that made Bulkhead and I more stronger.” Wheeljack replied. “Then when did you meet the Stunticons?” Smokescreen asked. “When they were messing with some bot. Bulkhead and I came in and sent them running.” Wheeljack replied. (He chuckled, placing a servo onto his ship) “Are we ready to get this fixed?” Smokescreen asked. “Yeah, although I need some supplies from the Autobot base to get it up and running.” Wheeljack answered. (Smokescreen nodded; blue optics focused on the distance)
“One of the Stunticons spoke about you killing them.” Smokescreen explained. “I'll explain it to you later, for now, lets get this ship fixed.” Wheeljack said. “Right, I'll contact Ratchet to get some tools ready.” Smokescreen said. (He raised a servo to his helm; Wheeljack looked around) “Wildrider, Drag Strip, and Dead End, two missing, Motormaster and Breakdown.” Wheeljack thought. “Okay, get the Space Bridge ready!” Smokescreen said. (Both Autobots stared at a glowing vortex. They began to push the ship through the Ground Bridge. Blue optics searching for any cars to reappear. Soon, the three entities entered, the portal vanished.
Deep in a blizzard, red optics glowed, scanning his surroundings. Other optics appeared, all looking away from the largest. Motormaster growled; shoving Drag Strip aside. The yellow Stunticon yelped, glaring at his older brother) “Still nothing?” Motormaster growled. “No, must've found a real good hiding spot.” Drag Strip sighed. “Then keep looking, he has to be around here.” Motormaster replied. (The younger brothers vanished into the snowstorm again. Motormaster following them, becoming one with the raging snow.
Smoke flew everywhere, bright yellow optics glowed among bright red lights. A Youngling ran into unknown territory. The pounding of metal, rotating mechanisms, and booming voices echoed in his helm. Breakdown looked back from a dark alleyway he exited. No one, they shouldn't be able to follow him here. The flames would be too much for their developing bodies. Breakdown nodded, squeezing his small frame through a part of twisted metal.
He the intensity of hot air welcomed him. The Youngling crept deeper into the building. Yellow optics focused on the older mechs operating the complicated machinery. Among the hot steel brought together by heat, there was plenty of weaponry. Bullets, guns, magazines, all for war; Breakdown hid underneath a table. Bright yellow optics focused as an older mech passed by. Smaller mechs following; Breakdown gripped his legs and remained silent)
“Are you sure he went in here?” The older mech asked. “Yeah, I swore he ran in here.” A Youngling, Motormaster answered. “Your brave in searching for a runaway sibling.” The elder mech said. “Breakdown's still too young to run off on his own.” Drag Strip replied. “Please don't' find me.” Breakdown thought. (The mechs left the child's vision; Breakdown crawled away in the opposite direction.
Upon slipping out of the same opening, Breakdown returned to running. His small legs started to protest, yet, the child forced himself further into a new part of the town. Armor warm from under the heat from the factory he ran from.
In the darkness; the child started to cry. He slipped further into where he hid; providing cold comfort. Breakdown placed servos onto his face, hiding his tears. Sobs buried underneath the roar of nearby machinery. The Youngling lay on the cold steel, shutting his optics tight) “Please don't find me, I don't want to go back.” Breakdown whispered. (He closed his optics; Spark racing at each pound of a hammer.
A sole yellow optic opened, staring at a rock ceiling. Breakdown sat up, staring at his servos) “A memory, at least I'm not back there.” Breakdown thought. (He looked around, the interior of a cave, the opening revealing a blizzard. The dark blue mech got up, optic focused on the cold outside) “Where will I go now?” Breakdown whispered.
(A portal opened up, letting various Vehicons exit. Tim stepped onto an asphalt road; turning his helm to the other soldiers. A Vehicon nicknamed Giddy looked around) “Where should we start?” Giddy asked. “In the skies for us, (Tim looked at Abby and Daffodil) you two go down this road and report anything.” Tim replied. “Right, come on, Daffodil.” Abby said. (Both transformed, driving down the road.
Giddy looked at the femme Vehicon) “Are you alright?” Giddy asked. (The femme lifted her helm to stare at the other jet) “What if Commander Dreadwing is here?” The femme asked. “We didn't hear from him since we got him out of the mines.” Abby replied. “I saw him leave the Nemesis.” Tim chimed. (The other Vehicons looked at their leader)
“I'll look for him, the rest of you get going and search for Breakdown.” The femme said. “By yourself?” Abby asked. “At least let me go with you.” Tim said. “What about Breakdown?” Daffodil asked. “Giddy, I'm leaving you and the others in charge till we return. If we do find Dreadwing, then I'll leave a signal to confirm we found him. Either alive or dead.” Tim answered. (Giddy nodded, glancing at the other unnamed Vehicons) “Good luck, you two.” Giddy said. (Tim gave a nod before looking at the femme) “Come on.” Tim said. (The two jets transformed, flying in the opposite direction of the other Vehicons.
Giddy looked at the team, raising a servo) “Lets begin the search!” Giddy called. (The other Vehicons cheered; transforming and driving off. Abby gave one look at the sky; the two Jet Vehicons vanishing from her sight) “Good luck, you two.” Abby said. She transformed, following the rest of her group.

@katsudon-fatalexeros my writing partner
A month and a half had passed since the first meeting and they usually spent home room, after school and some evenings together. The movie had been forgotten by both males though
He was humming contently when Yuri would walk into the classroom. He was drawing random things on a piece of paper when Yuri sat down and smiled at him. "Hello, my friend." He said it fondly, letting Yuri see his drawing of the two of them.
His copper optics flicked down seeing the drawing of himself and gave a broad smile. "Have you ate today?" Yuri's arm was gauze but not because he was hurt it was to hide the small bite marks and bruises not that he minded then in the least
He smiled softly before he nuzzled against the smaller male's arm. "Not yet. I was waiting on you to come." A reached over and plucked lightly at the cloth that covered his arm. "How are you feeling today?" He lightly licked against the skin of Yuri's arm. "You taste different today."
Yuri looked at him the other male hadn't even bit down into his flesh yet. Copper optics looked over him before giving a smile." Sorry I'm on a diet could that be why?" Yur8 thought he was looking bigger and with how easy he gained weight he started eating less
He wiggled his nose slightly and smiled. "It's possible. There are a lot of factors that can change the way that someone tastes." He licked lightly at the spot that he would be biting and scooted closer to his... well, he wasn't sure what they were exactly.
Yuri had never asked again if he was the only one Viktor fed from, part of him didn't want to be disappointed because of how close they were. Maybe it could be because he wasn't feeling well." Wait Viktor, I feel sick is it okay for you to bite me in that state.
He arched a brow when Yuri stopped him. Rubbing the skin of his arm as a soft smile closed his lips. "No, I will not be harmed if I drink from you if you are. Our bodies don't work the same way." He rose his head from the desk. "But if you are not feeling well, I can wait."
Yuri pushed his arm forward a bit selfishly." If you don't eat from me you'll be weak and hungry please go ahead."Yuri gave him a reassuring smile no one looking their way and the teacher zoned out
He gave a soft smile before he folded his sleeve backwards and slowly sank his teeth into the tender flesh of his... Yuri's arm. A muffled whispered moan escaped his lips as he wrapped his hand around his.... Yuri's fingers.
Yuri had gotten better at biting back the moans because honestly this was not the place for them. His heart beating quicker has he let the other male drink, Viktor always seemed to be close wherever Yuri was and rumors had started floating through the school that Viktor was plotting on marking Yuri and that they were lovers
He rarely listened to rumors. Rarely cared anything about them really. He drank his fill, licking at the wounds to help them close before he rose his head, licking at his lips as the teacher started to talk again and the bell rang. He turned his head, giving Yuri a smile as he rose from his seat. He actually like his and Yuri's relationship. It was simple and pure and he enjoyed it.
Yuri gave a soft smile standing up and beginning to walk out of the classroom. Walking out he waved Viktor on to his next class since they weren't in the same direction, and about the same time he made it to his locker in Viktor's view another person had walked up to Yuri. While Yuri seemed completely unaware the male was flirting quite horribly
Viktor had stopped walking and narrowed his eyes. He knew the kid, wasn't a vampire just a regular guy but it still made his skin crawl. He was bad news all around and loved drama. He couldn't remember his name but he'd talk to Yuri about it later
The guy was trying but Yuri brushed him off grabbing his bag and heading towards his next class. Apparently the male didn't like being ignored has he pushed Yuri towards the wall and he flushed."um get off of me."
Viktor was already in his class but a blonde haired man with a bad accent had taken the other male by the shoulder and thrown him off. "You need to learn more about someone's personal space." He glared down the other male.as he picked himself off the floor and fled. "Hello there. You must be Viktor's friend. I'm Chris."
Yuri gave a warm smile thanking him for stepping in and moving towards his own class his slender digits pushing hair back. Yuri waited in their normal spot once all classes ended
Chris nodded before he headed to his own class.. with Viktor of course. The lazy bum was asleep on his desk and Chris rolled his eyes. He nudged him, sitting down beside him and letting him know what had happened.
The end of school came as no surprise and Yuri only had a stiff shoulder. He wondered if Viktor knew what happened and what he would say, copper optics s canning over the grounds. It would rain soon he could smell it
There was a growl, a scream and a body went flying on the room and hit the ground hard. The boy that attacked Yuri would push himself off the ground, look at Yuri with a look of horror and shame and run off toward the parking lot. Viktor doing nothing more than jumping down with the blonde haired boy that had saved Yuri.
Yuri's optics went wide watching the boy disappear his gaze solely focused on Viktor once he was gone. Yuri had never seen the other male upset, he hadn't even been planning on telling Viktor but it seemed his friend had." Viktor I are you okay?" Yuri seemed less concerned with his own well being but was fretting over the elder male He gave a smile. "Oh course." An arm wrapped around Yuri's shoulders as they began to walk toward the grounds and to the subway. "The question I should be asking is are you okay and would you like to come back to my place tonight." Yes, he held a smile on his face but his eyes were filled with something different, dark and upset.
Yuri let his head fall to the side but he gave an easy smile his palms moving to wrap around Viktor's waist." Ah sure it seems like fun, should I grab some food or do you have some there?" Yuri felt silly for asking but he had to eat didn't he a soft smile played on his features. Once on the train some how Viktor always managed to be pressed to his back side a soft flush
"I have some. I always keep food there for the non undead." His tone a playful tease. He loved the train, for the simple fact that they always found themselves pressed up against one another. His hands on Yuri's hips and his chin resting on his shoulder. A mile long smile across his face.
Yuri hadn't gotten used to the affections Viktor displayed he normally welcomed them all including today. Even if he did flinch a small bit his shoulder sore from the incident earlier
"I'm sorry." He felt the small flick and risked a chaste kiss to his sore shoulder before the train stopped at their normal spot. He would be coming home with him and Viktor couldn't be more excited about it. His mother wouldn't be there and they would have the flat and l to themselves
Yuri gave a soft smile but he didn't mind the attention the walk home was short, but for a cold night Yuri didn't mind his fingers laced with Viktor's palm. Entering the apartment it was certainly nicer than Yuri's and even still that didn't bother him he was grateful to be close
He bounced a little as they walked. His mind going over everything they had at his place to eat. The night chilled but he didn't seem to mind. "Would you like me to cook for you?" He gave a soft smile as he kissed their joined hands
Yuri felt the flush but he bit his lower lip."Maybe later I'm not hungry just yet I ate a big lunch, can we go to your bedroom?"Yuri didn't expect a coffin or anything silly like that what he expected was to be close to Viktor
He smiled softly. "Of course. Right this way." He lead him through the kitchen and turned right. His bedroom was at the end of a short hall on the left was the bathroom. He opened the door and the smell of jasmine and vanilla would be the first thing that hit Yuri's nose. The room itself was mostly big but the space was nicely filled
Yuri dead panned slightly Viktor's place looked the size of his whole apartment, but Yuri said nothing other than wow. Fingers combing through his hair." So where will I sleep Viktor?" Yuri's tone was soft his palm outstretched to rub his own shoulder
"Probably in my bed... I can take the floor." He smiled softly, arching a brow wondering if Yuri were truly tired. A smile crossed his lips instead. "But I'll probably end up sleepy on the sofa. I don't mind at all." "You could stay with me I don't mind."Yuri hinting around that he was open to sharing the bed with the older male, his gaze dropped down he wasn't tired just yet. Far to early in the evening for that his palms moving to slip the blazer away and dig through the bag for a change of clothes.
He couldn't hide the smile that crossed his lips at Yuri's suggestion and he moved himself to get into more comfortable clothes. No, it was too early for sleep but maybe a nap. Naps were always awesome. "Tell me about yourself." Viktor walked out of the bathroom with sweats on.
Yuri moved into the bathroom his outfit not sweats but a pair of shorts that didn't go to far down and a baggy shirt. Slender frame moving to lay flat on the mattress."Is there anything we haven't talked about in the last almost two months?" Yuri's voice soft has he chose the spot closest to the wall, he was small enough that he didn't take up too much room.
"Good point." He smiled softly, watching Yuri move around the room as he sat on the bed with a small yawn leaving him. "But I did you interesting so even repeat conversations aren't as bother." He laid down, arms stretched above his head.
Yuri rolled over to scan him a soft smile on his lips as he began to tell about himself." My name's Yuri katsuki I'm from Japan moved here on a scholarship to get my degree because my parents wanted me to go to the the best school."A soft smile on his face has he looked over at Viktor."Tell me about you?"
He chuckled softly but listened to Yuri with interest.."My name is Viktor. I have lived here for most of this lifetime. I like it here. The people are nice. My mother is a nurse. My dad is a vampire but he left when I was little. I don't really remember him." He smiled softly to Yuri
"And what about your other donors? Your favourite places to bite? Are you dating someone?" His words seemed to hang on that one question copper optics going slightly wide has he waited for an answer a smile on his features
He barked a laugh. "I've dated one man in this lifetime and now, he is one of my closest friends. He was the one that saved you from the attacker." He smiled softly. "He was my only donor, other than that, it's been nothing more than blood packs. And we all have a favorite place to bite.
"You once said the inside of the thighs? Yo..um you bit him there?" Yuri's voice hesitated briefly has warm palms moved up his own slender frame a small stretch of sore muscles as they continued to talk, Yuri's optics moving to his own exposed thighs were they pretty enough to be bitten he certainly had no hair or at least not enough to notice
He chuckled softly. He liked that Yuri was curious about all this stuff. "No, he liked to be bitten on the neck, so that where I bite him." Viktor's eyes traveled to his exposed thighs and he licked his lips. "I prefer that spot because it can be hidden but everyone had a place they like more." Yuri could feel the roaming eyes and being slightly brave his legs spread slightly, one raised while the other lay flat. The shorts raising up in his thighs as he looked back up into the older male's eyes a soft smile on his lips
He smiled softly before he yawned lightly once again, doing nothing more than moving to wrap an arm around Yuri's waist and nuzzle against his side like a cat. It almost sounded like he was purring but Yuri couldn't be sure.
Yuri almost gave a pout his legs completely going back to a regular position he had tried to be alluring and failed...maybe he was just making more of this then he thought. Head shook he gave a soft smile as he rolled to face the wall and gave his own yawn.

Sprin(T)-Mobile; This Dish Is Bananas
Sprin(T)-Mobile; This Dish Is Bananas:
The Un-Network Is Now THE Network
And then there were three…
The wireless market got a touch smaller and far more interesting this morning. A U.S. federal judge ruled in favor of the $26 billion merger between Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S) and T-Mobile US Inc. (Nasdaq: TMUS).
The ruling shut down a multistate challenge to the deal’s approval by both the Federal Communications Commission and the Department of Justice. According to Judge Victor Marrero: “The resulting stalemate leaves the Court lacking sufficiently impartial and objective ground on which to rely in basing a sound forecast of the likely competitive effects of a merger.”
Marrero continued that the states failed to convince the court that a combined company would “pursue anticompetitive behavior.” Furthermore, the judge noted that, if left alone, Sprint could “cease to be a truly national [mobile network operator].”
New York Attorney General Letitia James is considering appealing the ruling. “From the start, this merger has been about massive corporate profits over all else, and despite the companies’ false claims, this deal will endanger wireless subscribers where it hurts most: their wallets,” James said.
The Takeaway:
Let’s start off with a great big “Well, duh!” for Attorney General James. Of course this deal is about massive corporate profits. All deals are.
Corporations exist to generate massive profits. That’s their job. That’s what they do. (They’re like the Conway Twitty of the business world — yes, that’s a country song reference, y’all.)
I won’t comment on the antitrust implications of the Sprint/T-Mobile deal … or whether it’s ultimately bad for customers or not. I’ll leave that to Banyan Hill expert Ted Bauman, who’s sure to comment on this merger sooner or later.
By the way: Feel free to let me know your thoughts on the Sprint/T-Mobile merger by dropping me a line at [email protected].
What I will say is that this deal is big trouble for moose and squirrel … er, rather, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) and AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T). The pair have dominated the wireless world for years, gobbling up subscribers left and right.
Now, however, there’s a serious contender to deal with.
After AT&T failed to take over T-Mobile back in 2011, the latter used the $3 billion in breakup fees to launch a serious bid to dominate the wireless market. However, T-Mobile lacked in spectrum — i.e., the wireless airwaves that connect your devices.
Sprint has oodles and oodles of spectrum, including a broad swath of 2.5 GHz mid-band spectrum that’s critical for 5G wireless. Unfortunately for Sprint, it has no cash to take advantage of this spectrum.
That’s what the Sprint/T-Mobile merger is all about, Charlie Brown: spectrum. And now, T-Mobile has both key 5G spectrum and the cash to further its nationwide 5G rollout plans.
What’s more, the new company is truly a pure play on the wireless market. There’s no debt-burdened Time Warner content or streaming package like at AT&T, or failed AOL/Yahoo content like at Verizon.
Just pure, unadulterated and unfettered wireless.
So, while AT&T struggles to pay down the cost of buying content and Verizon rides the fence on what to do with its media division, the new T-Mobile will solely focus on rolling out 5G to the world.
That focus is truly great stuff for investors. I look forward to seeing how the combined company’s stock trades once the merger is complete. It’s certainly on Great Stuff’s future watch list.
In the meantime, there’s work to do to bring 5G to the masses.
I mean, you can have all the G’s you want, but without a ground network to transfer that signal from the tower to the internet at high speed … well, you’re SOL.
That means fiber optics, and rolling out such a network doesn’t happen overnight — unless you’re out there unspooling cable … you aren’t, are you?
So, let’s stay crafty and find some real 5G profits.
And boy, are there profits to be had! The great wireless migration could generate over $12 trillion in new industry wealth … from telecoms to consumer 5G devices and more.
Many Great Stuff readers know Ian King and his incredible eye for picking tipping-point tech trends. The 5G explosion is no different. Ian just spotted one company that’s at the forefront of the 5G transition.
If you click here now, he will show you just how huge the 5G trend is … and why this tiny stock is setting up to clutch that $12 trillion windfall.
The Good: Hasbro Ain’t Toyin’ Around
After nearly a year of dominance by plastic figurines and bobble heads bobbleheads, actual toys are back!
Hasbro Inc. (Nasdaq: HAS) reported that net income skyrocketed to $2.01 per share in the fourth quarter from just $0.07 per share last year. Adjusted earnings came in at $1.24 per share, blowing past the consensus estimate for $0.91 per share.
(Pssst … net revenue was a little light at $1.43 billion, versus Wall Street’s target of $1.44 billion … but no one’s talking about that.)
Driving Hasbro’s success were strong sales of partner brands such as Frozen 2, Star Wars, Spider-Man and the Avengers. The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) toy sales — ahem, I mean “partner brand” revenue — spiked 24% to $1.22 billion for the year.
“We’re incredibly excited that ‘The Mandalorian’ season two will come to Disney+ this fall,” said Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner.
Umm … Mr. Goldner? Maybe you could get some freakin’ Baby Yoda merch on the shelves soon, please? Honestly, your revenue could’ve been millions higher already!
The Bad: M-m-m-my Corona
What do you get when you cross a Chinese pandemic with a struggling “premium” athletic clothing retailer?
You get a hot mess, that’s what you get. Under Armour Inc. (NYSE: UA) not only missed Wall Street’s fourth-quarter revenue target, it also lowered sales guidance for 2020. The company expects revenue to fall between $50 million and $60 million for the first quarter … and that’s just from lowered sales expectations.
Sure, Under Armour has about 600 stores in China, but about 60% of the company’s products are manufactured in China, Jordan, Vietnam and Malaysia. With the exception of Jordan, the rest of those countries are smack in the middle of coronavirus central. That means lowered productivity and potential supply disruptions as this epidemic grows.
And as for that “premium brand” thing: “We believe prior promotional activity has impacted the consumers’ willingness to pay full price for our brand to a higher degree than we originally anticipated,” said CEO Patrik Frisk.
So, part of Frisk’s excuse is that customers don’t want to pay full price for the company’s stuff? I think the market is telling you something, man.
For now, I’ll avoid Under Armour stock like I avoid paying full price for its clothes.
The Ugly: Dish Is a Mess
Did you think I forgot about Dish Network Corp. (Nasdaq: DISH)?
No, sir. Dish is crucial to the whole Sprint/T-Mobile merger. As part of the deal with the Department of Justice, Dish will buy Sprint’s prepaid wireless business — aka Boost Mobile.
Let’s make no bones about this: Dish is getting screwed. The company already struggles with falling subscriber numbers for its pay-TV business. Dish’s old-school satellite service is worse than cable, after all. It’s all the content you’ll never watch (but still pay high prices for) … all bundled up in a service that screws up in the rain.
The bright idea to fix this is for Dish to buy Boost Mobile — a 4G mobile service on Sprint’s old network in a 5G world. Why not just start rolling out Betamax tapes as well, Dish?
Not only does Dish get the short end of the stick on the wireless deal, it’ll also soon face serious competition from Starlink — Elon Musk’s new satellite-based internet service.
I know, you’re thinking: “Starlink isn’t a pay-TV service, why should Dish worry?”
The answer’s simple: video streaming. The only thing that prevents some customers from moving away from Dish is the fact that they can’t get shows any other way. With Starlink and a Roku Inc. (Nasdaq: ROKU) player, all that changes.
I have to think that the only way Dish survives in the new Starlink and 5G world is for someone to buy out the company. Although, what company has such poor judgement that it’d even consider buying Dish? (No AT&T, don’t even think about it!)
5G! 5G! 5G! All we ever hear about is 5G! What’s so great about 5G anyway?
I mean, sure, 5G has never had its picture on bubblegum cards … so you’ve got me there.
That said, today’s Chart of the Week details some of the key benefits that the average smartphone user will notice right away when switching to 5G:
Now, if that doesn’t mean a whole lot to you … let’s just say that 5G is stupidly faster than your current 4G wireless service. That real-world speed of 100 megabytes/second is faster than most people have from their landline-based internet provider.
In other words, if you aren’t a data hog like yours truly, you might even be able to ditch your internet landline, just like you ditched your phone landline years ago. (Please tell me you don’t still have a phone landline…)
When it comes to 5G, this is just the tip of the iceberg. We’re in a Big Data world now, and Big Data needs high-speed transfer rates. As you can see from the chart, 5G has all that covered and more.

Information Technology in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Logistics encompasses the activities of inventory management, order processing, warehouse and materials handling and physical distribution. SCM is the design and operation of the physical and managerial systems needed to transfer goods and services from vendor to customer in an effective and efficient manner. While logistics is a function, SCM is a process involving entire business activity.
The concept of SCM has only recently stepped into the marketing world. It rooted three decades back and has passed through three phases.
Phase 1: Physical distribution management: This phase is better characterised as ‘inventory push phase when manufacturing was handled in isolation and output was pushed down to the finished goods warehouses.
Phase 2: Integrated logistics management: This phase recognised the importance of integrating operations within the organisation like sales, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and transportation to achieve an efficient and effective goods distribution system.
Phase 3: SCM: The graduation of logistics management to its modern day avatar is better known as ‘SCM’. SCM extends the scope to link external partners like suppliers, vendors, distributors and customers with a view to deliver enhanced customer and economic value through synchronized management of the flow of physical goods and associated information from source to consumption.
Information technology is simplifying the processing of data via computer: the use of technologies from computing, electronics, and telecommunications to process and distribute information in digital and other forms.
Information Technology, or IT, is the study, design, creation, utilization, support, and management of computer-based information systems, especially software applications and computer hardware. IT is not limited solely to computers though. With technologies quickly developing in the fields of cell phones, PDAs and other handheld devices, the field of IT is quickly moving from compartmentalized computer-focused areas to other forms of mobile technology.
A supply chain is the network of suppliers, distributors and subcontractors used by a manufacturer to source its raw materials, components and supplies. Logistics companies store, transport and distribute supplies and work-in-progress within the supply chain and distribute finished products to customers or intermediaries. Integrating supply chain and logistics operations improves efficiency and reduces costs, increasing the manufacturer’s competitive advantage.
In fact, the need for supply chain management is felt to benefit both customer and enterprise. While it enhances customer delight by satisfying the customer need for better products, lower costs and fastest supply, it improves enterprise plight by improving its productivity.
Reduced operational costs • Improved flow of supplies • Reduction of delays in distribution and increased customer satisfaction • Brings compelling bottom line benefits to enterprise
The corporate profitability can be linked to the deliverables of a supply chain with the help of following equation:
Profit = Revenue + Customer service / Cost + Capital employed
Use of Internet, has enabled companies to realize several supply chain related benefits.
More Collaborative, timely product development through enhanced communication among functional departments, suppliers, customers and even regulatory agencies
Reduction of channel inventory and product obsolescence owing to closer linkage across the supply chain and better insights into demand signals to drive products schedule and ultimately achieve build-to-order capability
Reduction in communication costs and customer support costs with more interactive, tailored support capability inherent with Internet technologies
New channel capability to reach different customer segments and further exploit current market
Ability to enhance traditional products and customer relationships through customization driven by Internet connectivity and interactivity
Fundamental changes have occurred in today’s economy. These changes alter the relationship we have with our customers, our suppliers, our business partners and our colleagues. IT developments have presented companies with unprecedented opportunities to gain competitive advantage. So IT investment is the pre-requisite thing for each firm in order to sustain in the market.
IT and Supply Chain Integration
Supply chain management (SCM) is concerned with the flow of products and information between supply chain members’ organizations. Recent development in technologies enables the organization to avail information easily in their premises. These technologies are helpful to coordinates the activities to manage the supply chain. The cost of information is decreased due to the increasing rate of technologies. In an integrated supply chain where materials and information flow in a bi-directional, Manager needs to understand that information technology is more than just computers.
At the earliest stage of Supply Chain (the late 80s) the information flow between functional areas within an organization and between supply chain member organizations were paper based. The paper based transaction and communication was slow. During this period, information was often over looked as a critical competitive resource because its value to supply chain members was not clearly understood. An IT infrastructure capability provides a competitive positioning of business initiatives like cycle time reduction, implementation, implementing redesigned cross-functional processes. Several well know organizations that are involved in supply chain relationship through information technology have reaped huge gain through integration. Three factors have strongly impacted this change in the importance of information. First, satisfying and pleasing customer has become something of a corporate obsession. Serving the customer in the best, most efficient and effective manner has become critical. Second information is a crucial factor in the managers’ abilities to reduce inventory and human resource requirement to a competitive level and finally, information flow plays a crucial role in strategic planning.
Supply chain organizational functions
All enterprises participating in supply chain management initiatives accept a specific role to perform. They also share the joint belief that they and all other supply chain participants will be better off because of this collaborative effort. Power within the supply chain is a central issue. There has been a general shift of power from manufacturers to retailers over the last decades. Retailers sit in a very important position in term of information access for the supply chain. Retailers have risen to the position of prominence through technologies.
The examples and experiences of some firms in the Retails Supermarkets has demonstrated how information sharing can be utilized for mutual advantage. Through sound information technologies, firm’s shares point of sale information from its many retail outlet directly with their Manufacturers and other major suppliers.
The development of Inter organizational information system for the supply chain has three distinct advantages like cost reduction, productivity, improvement and product/market strategies.
Firms can collaborate and participation within five basic levels in the inter-organizational information system.
Remote Input/Output mode: In this case the member participates from a remote location within the application system supported by one or more higher-level participants.
Application processing node: In this case a member develops and shares a single application such as an inventory query or order processing system.
Multi participant exchange node: In this case the member develops and shares a network interlinking itself and any number of lower level participants with whom it has an established business relationship.
Network control node: In this case the member develops and shares a network with diverse application that may be used by many different types of lower level participants.
Integrating network node: In this case the member literally becomes a data communications/data processing utility that integrates any number of lower level participants and applications in real times.
Information and Technology: Application in Supply Chain Management
In the development and maintenance of Supply chain’s information systems both software and hardware must be addressed. Hardware includes computer’s input/output devices and storage media. Software includes the entire system and application programme used for processing transactions management control, decision-making and strategic planning.
How IT can be applied in Supply Chain Management
Electronic Commerce: It is the term used to describe the wide range of tools and techniques utilized to conduct business in a paperless environment. Electronic commerce therefore includes electronic data interchange, e-mail, electronic fund transfers, electronic publishing, image processing, electronic bulletin boards, shared databases and magnetic/optical data capture. Companies are able to automate the process of moving documents electronically between suppliers and customers.
Electronic Data Interchange: Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) refers to computer-to-computer exchange of business documents in a standard format. EDI describe both the capability and practice of communicating information between two organizations electronically instead of traditional form of mail, courier, & fax.
The benefits of EDI are:
1. Quick process to information 2. Better customer service 3. Reduced paper work 4. Increased productivity 5. Improved tracing and expediting 6. Cost efficiency 7. Competitive advantage 8. Improved billing
Though the use of EDI supply chain partners can overcome the distortions and exaggeration in supply and demand information by improving technologies to facilitate real time sharing of actual demand and supply information.
Bar coding and Scanner: Bar code scanners are most visible in the checkout counter of super market.  This code specifies name of product and its manufacturer. Other applications are tracking the moving items such as components in PC assembly operations, automobiles in assembly plants.
Data warehouse: Data warehouse is a consolidated database maintained separately from an organization’s production system database. Many organizations have multiple databases. A data warehouse is organized around informational subjects rather than specific business processes. Data held in data warehouses are time dependent, historical data may also be aggregated.
Enterprise Resource planning (ERP) tools: Many companies now view ERP system (eg. Baan, SAP, People soft, OTM etc.) as the core of their IT infrastructure. ERP system have become enterprise wide transaction processing tools which capture the data and reduce the manual activities and task associated with processing financial, inventory and customer order information. ERP system achieve a high level of integration by utilizing a single data model, developing a common understanding of what the shared data represents and establishing a set of rules for accessing data.
Benefits of IT application in Supply Chain Management
Streamlining— communicate and collaborate more effectively with suppliers worldwide
Connecting— make the connection between what your customers want and what you produce
Analysing– Analyse your supply chain and manufacturing options and choose the plan that makes best use of your assets
Synchronizing— Synchronize the flow of your batch production by managing the capacity of vessels, tanks, and lines-and the flow between them

Designing— create the optimal supply chain network and adapt the network to keep pace with changes in your business
Transforming— Transform processes inside the warehouse and across the supply chain to meet demands for new efficiencies
Understanding—Get a better understanding of your warehouse labor activities and implement the changes you need to optimize worker performance
Maximizing– Maximize warehouse profits by using advanced costing, billing, and invoicing capabilities
Optimizing— optimize your day-to-day fleet performance to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction
Drivers of SCM
What drove logistics to SCM? One can identify a number of drivers for a paradigm shift from logistics to SCM (Dubey 1999). The major ones are :
First, the expectations of customer for increased value addition, response time sensitivity, need for reliability, cost consciousness and information sensitivity.
Second, the nature of competition favouring firms that have been in a position to decrease lead times as well as operational costs.
Third, the recent revolution taken place in the field of information technology has enabled and encouraged the firms to initiate newer means in the field of distribution management.
Fourth, managers have realized and recognised the need for continuous improvement of process involved in marketing activity. The attitude of managers has changed in favour of integrating all activities in the chain from sourcing to consumption.
Fifth, perception of firms to have inventories has changed to JIT philosophy. While money locked up in inventories leads to poor use of working capital, higher inventories lead to higher lead times for procurement, manufacture and distribution.
Thrust areas of SCM
The drivers listed above help identify the key thrust areas of SCM which would lead to specific decision areas. These are :
Minimising uncertainty by reducing lead times Improving flexibility improving process quality Minimising variety kitting of supplies
Planning for multiple supply chain Modifying performance measures Integration of processes
SCM needs to be compatible with the prevailing business environment.
World is shrinking day by day with advancement of technology. Customers’ expectations are also increasing and companies are prone to more and more uncertain environment.  The IT field is evolving and developing every day. New technologies in computers and mobile devices are shaping the way the world communicates with one another, gets work done, and spends free time. Companies will find that their conventional supply chain integration will have to be expanded beyond their peripheries. The strategic and technological innovations in supply chain will impact on how organizations buy and sell in the future. However clear vision, strong planning and technical insight into the Internet’s capabilities would be necessary to ensure that companies maximize the Internet’s potential for better supply chain management and ultimately improved competitiveness. Internet technology, World Wide Web, electronic commerce etc. will change the way a company is required to do business. These companies must realize that they must harness the power of technology to collaborate with their business partners. That means using a new breed of SCM application, the Internet and other networking links to observe past performance and historical trends to determine how much product should be made as well as the best and cost effective method for warehousing it or shipping it to retailers.

Ever since Xiaomi began its journey into the smartphone industry, the company has been breaking records and achieving huge milestones in a very short span of time. Announcing a new achievement, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirms that the company has managed to ship 23.16 million smartphones in Q2 2017, a 70 percent increase from the previous quarter, marking a record high for quarterly smartphone shipments in the company's life span. Jun further notes that revenue in India in the first half of the year is up 328 percent year-on-year and Xiaomi is now the number two brand in the overall Indian smartphone market.
In commemoration of these milestones, Jun sent out a letter to his employees marking all the achievements the company has made in the last year. He particularly stated that the shipments milestone is particularly significant because of the declining sales Xiaomi had suffered recently. Talking about India, Jun also cited IDC to reiterate that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has become the highest shipped smartphone in the country.
He attributed the company’s revenue growth to Xiaomi’s investments in R&D, improvements in product quality and customer care, the launch of their in-house chipset – Surge S1, and smartphone launches like the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Xiaomi even boasted of applying for 7,071 patents globally last year. Of these patents, 2,895 were granted, and half of these are international patents.
Jun also claimed that much of the shipments were because of their dual online and offline strategy that the company adopted in the recent years. It now enjoys 123 Mi Home Stores in China, with 14 more opening on July 8. Jun ended the letter with setting a revenue goal of RMB 100 billion for the year, and another goal to ship 100 million smartphones in 2018. You can read the full letter by Jun to his employees below:
Xiaomi achieves record high quarterly smartphone shipments
Dear Xiaomi colleagues,
I was pleased to announce a breakthrough achievement at today’s smartphone all-hands meeting: we shipped 23.16 million smartphones in Q2 2017, an increase of 70% from the previous quarter, marking a record high for Xiaomi’s quarterly smartphone shipments. This achievement signifies a major inflection point in our growth — after two years of internal recalibration, Xiaomi is once again embarking on a rapid growth trajectory.
This is a truly significant milestone for Xiaomi — to date, no other smartphone company globally had been able to resume growth after a decline in sales. How were we able to achieve this?
1. Relentlessly pursuing technological innovation, striving for operational excellence with users at our core
Over the last few years, we have consistently increased our investment in R&D. Today, these investments are bearing fruit. In February, we launched Surge S1, our proprietary chipset designed and developed in-house, marking a breakthrough in our chipset technology capabilities. We have been unyielding in our pursuit of technological breakthroughs in other smartphone core components such as the camera, screen and battery. In April, we launched Mi 6 that has an optical zoom dual camera setup, which takes exceptional portrait shots. In May, we launched Mi Max 2, which achieved an incredible 31-day standby time in an endurance challenge. These are practical demonstrations of our technological capabilities. Last year, we applied for 7,071 patents globally; we were granted 2,895, of which half are international patents.
At the start of this year, I also personally spearheaded a committee to assess the quality of our products. After much internal discussions, we laid out the blueprint of our action plan and established a division solely focused on product quality. Our goal is to win through the “iron-fist” of quality!
Our recovery follows a year of setbacks that collectively signify the most challenging period in our company history. Smartphone sales softened as we struggled with two instances of supply issues, each one hampering our supply chain for several months. However, we were able to use this time as an opportunity to recalibrate many aspects of our business. Our Q2 shipment results reflect the improvements we have made in relation to the supply of our products.
2. Upgrading into a new retail model, successfully integrating online and offline retail
As an Internet company, e-commerce is at the very core of Xiaomi’s retail strategy. While we continue to improve the customer experience on Mi.com, we also deeply value partnerships with other platforms. During this year’s “618” online shopping festival, we ranked number one in terms of smartphone sales on JD.com, Tmall, and Suning.
We have made great strides in our offline presence too. As of July 7, we have opened 123 Mi Home stores across China. Each store that we open receives such overwhelming reception that our revenue per square foot numbers are now industry-leading. On July 8, we expect to open another 14 stores!
3. Explosive growth in our global business as a result of three years of investments
After three years of unwavering investment in our global business, this year has seen Xiaomi rack up successive wins as our global business crosses the inflection point of explosive growth.
Our performance in India has been especially encouraging— revenue in the first half of the year is up 328% year-on-year and we are now the #2 brand in the overall Indian smartphone market. Redmi Note 4 has become the highestshipped smartphone in the country, and Xiaomi is now widely recognized as a leading brand. Elsewhere, we are seeing great results in Indonesia, Russia, Ukraine, and a number of other countries.
Competing for global market share represents the third wave of opportunity that will shape the Chinese smartphone industry. This follows the first wave of urban Chinese smartphone adoption and the second wave of new smartphone users from China’s third and fourth-tier cities. Seizing this opportunity marks the beginning of Xiaomi’s journey as a technology company on the global stage.
Why were we able to resume growth? The secret lies in Xiaomi’s business model and our values!
Xiaomi has proven the resilience of our business model over the last 7 years, both through our incredible growth in the early days, and our reversion to growth after a period of recalibration.
We firmly believe that as long as we continue to befriend our users, produce exciting products with accessible pricing, and stay true to our core values of sincerity and passion, we will inevitably win users and the market!
Today’s accomplishment is not an easy feat. We offer our sincere gratitude to all of our Mi Fans for the trust they have placed in us over the years. We are grateful to our partners for their support, and especially to Xiaomi’s 13,000 employees and families for your dedication.
The smartphone market is brutally competitive, and we are only taking the first steps in our journey. In order to continue growing, we must keep true to our core values, and innovate relentlessly. We have to give our engineers the freedom to think outside of the box, and explore fearlessly without boundaries. We set no limit when it comes to innovation and investment. In the next 12 months, we will need to hire thousands of R&D talent for our smartphone business and further bolster our innovation capabilities.
I told everyone at the start of the year that the most difficult times are behind us. I also set a humble revenue goal of RMB 100 billion for the year. I am now confident we can achieve this goal. A new chapter for Xiaomi has just begun, and so many possibilities lie ahead of us. Our future is as vast as the constellations and beyond.
Finally, let’s just add another humble goal: to ship 100 million smartphones in 2018!

Trigger warnings continue in this chapter. Mentions of his miscarriage and depression. Emotional hurt/comfort
They were finally home, cuddled into their bed with sated smiles on their faces. Viktor's mine still going over things and trying to find the best way to tell him. "Yuri." His voice soft as he curled around his mate. "We need to talk about something" He was lightly running his hands through his hair
Yuri let those copper optics travel to the older males face a content look on his own."What is it Vitya?"Yuri hadn't asked to look at his charts just went by what the doctor and Viktor had told him.
He sighed softly, closing his eyes before he let out a shaking breath. "I'm not sure how to word this." He moved, lightly laying his hand across Yuri's stomach. "When you fell..." His voice feeling with quilt. "You... we... lost the baby."
Yuri looked down at Viktor's palm confusion crossing the younger male's face."Viktor I wasn't pregnant."But even his voice sounded unsure has palms raised his shirt to look for something that told him what was happening He shook his head slowly. "You were. when you... when you fell flat on your stomach on the ice it caused a miscarriage. The doctor said it was highly unlikely you would have been able to carry it full term." His eyes filled with tears
Yuri looked down at his stomach mind going over the events and the hospital. He was pregnant....but that he had taken birth control hadn't he. Slender digits held his stomach."You let me...knowing I had just lost a baby."Yuri looked down slightly ashamed of himself
A frown crossed Viktor's brows. Suddenly feeling the shame wash over him as well. he didn't know what to do or where this would take them but his mind was racing. It hurt... deep in his bones. He moved slowly, sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands
Yuri looked around the room before focusing solely on the floor, how had he gotten that way with neither of them knowing a thing. Palms pressed flat to the mattress has he moved telling an omega something like this could through their mood off."Would we have kept it, had we known
Viktor's head shot up at such a question but didn't turn. "I... I wouldn't had mind having something that was us." His voice cracked slightly as he slumped his shoulders. "I would... I would have hoped we would have."
Yuri's palm placed over his stomach and loss reflected in normally clear eyes. Yuri wished he hadn't been told at the moment, his own body seemed to be shaking. Even Viktor's accent which he normally found calming did nothing."Why...."A slight shake another question he didn't want answered.
He tilted his head before he looked back at his mate. "Why?" The question lingered in the air between them. He had more answers than he did questions. He wanted nothing more than to wrap Yuri in his arms and hold him but he wasn't sure of the comfort was wanted... least not by him
Yuri sat on the bed clearly lost in his own head before he spoke."I'm sorry, I should have been more careful."That was possibly the most Yuri he could sound, rather he meant the jump or birth control he was just sorry his head hanging down
"Sorry for what. I would not have minded a child." There was a soft smile on his lips as he spoke but he still didn't dare to look back at his mate. "I still want children."
"The chance for me to have a successful pregnancy after already losing one...well it's cut in half."Yuri wasn't wrong male omega's carrying to term were hardly heard of."I might not be able to give them to you
"If we can't have children, Yuri, that doesn't mean I don't love you any less. Maybe even more." The shame and guilt were strong in his tone as he spoke. "If wouldn't leave you over such a reason." He still sat with his back turned to his mate.
"You have nothing to be ashamed of you know Viktor. This was my fault, I shouldn't have pushed you to skate."Yuri's tone wasn't cold but he didn't sound like he was there in that moment, in fact it was all he could do not to break down in tears
He sighed softly. The want to comfort his mate was far to strong for him to deny anymore. It was getting to the point of painful as he moved, wrapping his arms around his love and whispering soft apologies in his ear
Yuri just laid there something about lack of will seemed to be present. He adored Viktor but in the moment he didn't know what he was feeling, his features merely looked sad
He just held him, comfort was what his body was screaming at him so that's what he did. He was sure the next few days were going to be tough for both of them but he would stand by Yuri no matter what
Yuri moved closer slender digits curling through silver locks and suddenly he didn't feel like skating any more. A soft sigh gaze dropped he looked vulnerable
The silence between the two of them was drawn out, killing him in a way he didn't think it would. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he pressed a kiss to Yuri's temple and held him close.
Yuri's fingers moved slowly his own head tilting u0 for a brief kiss."Did he say why the birth control and suppressants stopped working?"
He shock his head slightly. "No... he didn't." He threaded his fingers through soft ebony hair and sighed softly. "I just don't want you to blame yourself. We couldn't have known or even thought."
"I took them like I was supposed to."A soft whine and he collapsed in the other male's arms a mess of emotions he couldn't even explain. How could he want something...how could he mourn something he had never knew he wanted in the first place
He couldn't help the smile that crossed his lips. "Yuri, this was a wonderful and sorrow filled thing that happened. the thought that we could have children is a joy in itself " He squeezed the smaller male tight against him, letting Yuri ride out whatever he needed too
Yuri stayed that way until he seemed to fall asleep whimpering in the older male's arms. They would have to go discuss the younger males next options when things got better
It wasn't long after Yuri had drifted off that Viktor seemed to rest himself but it was an uncomfortable rarest to say the least even if he were wrapped in Yuri's arms. His own emotions being held in check while he took care of his mate
The next morning Yuri seemed to stay in bed, refusing to move simply stating he didn't feel well. Curled in bed and showing no interest towards anything
Viktor didn't blame him, he didn't feel like moving himself and couldn't help the small sigh that escaped his lips. As much as he wanted to stay in bed, curled up against Yuri's side, he couldn't bring himself too. They would get through this, that much was sure
With the weight shift Yuri said nothing slender digits playing with the sheets, he shouldn't feel depressed over this should he. Moving slowly he pulled the blanket close a soft whine leaving him every so often
He frowned with every little noise that he could hear escape his mate. He made them some soup before he returned to the bedroom. it might have been something fruitless but he wanted Yuri to at least eat something
Yuri thanked him but the food was left untouched a small whine from his throat. His mind was stuck looking into why he was upset more than the actual reason
"Yuri." His voice soft as he laid down beside his mate. "You have to try to eat something." He carded his fingers through soft ebony hair and gave a small smile.
It was a soft shake of no has he rolled over and closed his eyes, this would pass to Yuri just needed to process himself. What he truly needed was to forget why he was so upset
He nodded, letting Yuri slip from his arms as he did nothing more than lay beside him, he didn't think that he could do anything more than that
It went by like this for almost a week until Yuri had went to the doctors and got himself checked. They promised a lack of the proper vitamins and such is what had him feeling so lost.
Viktor waited, nodded when Yuri had told him what the Dr had said and wrinkled his nose. a that couldn't be right. They had made it back to their apartment where Viktor started to busy himself with making lunch
Yuri was sitting alone at the table palms playing with the new prescription in hand. New suppressants to his heat yet he didn't really know if he wished to take them. A small frown plastered on his features did he even want to take them his next heat wasn't so far enough now."Do you want me to take them?"
He blinked a few times when he heard Yuri utter those words. He slice of meat in the pan being flipped over before he answered. "No. I don't want you to suppress yourself anymore, Yuri but it isn't really my call." He turned flashing him a small smile
Yuri flushed at the comment."You don't want me to suppress the heats, aren't they well a bother Viktor."Soft words has his palms moved slowly against the table
"Nothing about you is a bother." He smiled softly, taking the pan off the burner and moving to stand behind his mate Yuri moved slowly his fingers drumming against the table a soft smile on his face. Things were still mulling around but he needed to know Viktor's honest opinion on suppressing his heats or not
"What do you feel about the situation?" He sat his own plate sown before getting them both a drink. Sitting in front of him he reached to inspect the bottle of pills
"That's not what I want to answer Viktor, I want you to weigh in on this."His words barely there has slender digits played with the table
He stared at the bottle and places them between them. "I want you to stop taking them. as helpful as they are, they are also very dangerous." He took a drink of water
"My heat starts next week you're due to travel at that time aren't you?"Yuri vaguely remembered Viktor had promised something to one of their friends
He arched a brow. "Plans can be changed, Yuri." He slide his arm over and placed it on his mates hand. "Do you truly wish to bond with me?"
Yuri stilled his head tilted to the side, they had never talked about bonding. Head hung down has he slowly figured it wasn't that he didn't want to bond he just didn't know yet."We've never talked about that Viktor
"Isn't now as good a time as any." He let a smile cross his lips. "I've read some.on it and bonded, you're heats won't be as bad as they are now. You wouldn't have to worry."
Yuri looked at him in the most pitiful way possible, snatching his palm away."It's not supposed to be something you do because it makes sense. It's supposed to be out of more than it'll make my heats better."
He frowns, hurt closing his eyes at Yuri's reaction before they were quickly masked once again. "That I love you, I want to keep you safe and that you are mine." His alphaness was coming out and he hated it
Yuri could feel the need to submit."Then make it sound like that's why you want to bond with me."Yuri was still hurting in his own way, and the reason Viktor had proposed for bonding had left him saddened
He sighed softly. "It was a poor choice of word." He blinked and look at the table. "I'm afraid, Yuri." The confusion was whispered softly
