Federico Madeddu Giuntoli - The Text And The Form

Ehi.

Federico Madeddu Giuntoli è un artista multidisciplinare all'esordio sonoro solista con "The Text and The Form", edito in un bellissimo e delicatissimo artwork ad abbracciare un vinile colorato, il tutto fuori per la giapponese etichetta FLAU.

Ciò che mi colpisce immediatamente è la brevità generale dei singoli pezzi, intesi non come canzoni, ma proprio come le parti di un ragionamento, un esperimento più ampio.

L'album gode di due particolari e pregevoli collaborazioni: AGF e Moskitoo. Non conoscevo queste artiste ed è sempre bello scovare più di qualcosa di nuovo, oltre alla musica che mi viene proposta.

Tornado a Federico e alla sua musica, questa è caratterizzata da un uso rarefatto e quasi sporadico degli strumenti. La sottrazione è l'elemento artistico che mi evoca ciò che si ascolta. Questo non vuol dire che manchino i contenuti, anzi. Tutto ciò invita a cogliere il massimo dal minimo. A chiedersi cosa ci sia dietro ogni nota di piano, colpo sulla chitarra, beat sintetico, parola sussurrata.

Il disco si fa, dunque, cogliere in un batter d'occhio e si conclude educatamente così come era iniziato. La sensazione che mi porto è quella di un discorso iniziato e concluso, ma con altri capitolo all'orizzonte. Giuntoli non è un ragazzino e la sua esperienza artistica è consistente. Mi aspetto un reprise di tutto il concetto di "The Text and The Form" perché, semplicemente, il nostro ci sa fare.

Hokkaido, Japan -- At the tail end of August, Noah released her new album Noire - a collection of nine tracks that she worked on between 2015-2020. To get a little sampler into the record, the second track “Odette” gives us a glimpse in. The track spans just under 4.5 minutes long and blends together electronic, ambient, and classical. It’s the perfect quiet storm of experimental that is eeriely calm and comforting. The soft murmurs of Noah’s vocals adds another layer of gentleness while the somewhat off kilter notes add just a little bit of edge. “Odette” reflects the quietness and mysteriousness of late nights into the wee hours of the morning, when the sun barely cracks through the sky.
