Actually still deceased about the tennis big 4 finally seeing themselves as an interconnected entity when they realised the end of their era is nearing. Federer saying he was happy to go first from the 4 as he was the oldest, Murray saying how right he felt that Federer got to close his career with Nadal after seeing them battle up close for so long, Nadal saying his generation of tennis is almost ending with only Novak and Andy still left, Djokovic and his age jokes about the new younger generation and not wanting to name any of the next gen as his rival when Rafa is still playing, them crying together for Roger in Laver Cup???

Metal is one of the most popular and diverse music genres in the world. It includes many subgenres, such as heavy metal, thrash metal, death metal, black metal and many others. Each of these subgenres has its own characteristics and fans.

Heavy metal is the basis of the genre, it is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, powerful vocals and fast tempo. Thrash metal is characterized by even faster and more aggressive guitar parts, as well as more complex drum breaks. Death metal adds even more aggression and gloom to the music, using extreme vocal techniques and heavier guitar riffs. Black metal is distinguished by even more extreme vocal techniques, the use of satanic symbols and lyrics, as well as dark and dark album covers.

Each of these subgenres has its own fans and its own history of development. Some bands, such as Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, have become real legends of the genre and have had a huge impact on its development. Other bands, such as Cannibal Corpse, Kreator and Behemoth, have created their own unique styles and trends in metal.

Lore wise: big 4 au, mavis is the daughter of Pitch Black and Dracula, stolen away in the night when Dracula forbids Pitch from seeing Mavis. Unfortunately, Pitch isn't entirely a qualified parent, at least not to a little vampire girl whos too curious for her own good, but he tries

And one day, Mavis gets hurt by the other Guardians attempting to steal her away from Pitch, but they fail and Pitch tearfully seals his daughter away, allowing her to sustain on the darkness until Pitch can secure her safety

Meanwhile; the big 4 manage to find and free Mavis, whos' memory are fading, and, y'know,

I've been sitting on this ask for a long time. Mostly because I know so much that it's not often that I find something new that's actually... interesting? But I finally found something.

White Star Line's most successful class of ships was the Big 4. These were their flagships from 1901 to 1911 when they received the Olympic. They were the Celtic, Cedric, Baltic, and Adriatic. The Adriatic was the last one in 1907. Then, White Star's new "big ship" was the Olympic, which began the Olympic class. The Olympic, Titanic, and Brittanic.

APPARENTLY, after Titanic sank, White Star put in an order for another ship in the style of the Big 4. This is VERY strange. I've never seen a line order a ship of an older class that has since been superceded by a bigger/better class. At least when it comes to their flagships. So the Big 4 was nearly the Big 5. And that's just SO WEIRD to me because the Olympic was already in service by this point! It's so weird for them to have ordered another Big 4 class ship! Anyway, the ship would have been named the RMS Germanic, named after White Star's SS Germanic from 1874. Her keel was laid down in 1914 and construction began, but because World War 1 had just begun, not much progress was made, and what had been done was scrapped.

I dont know why people don't talk about this more! Lots of people love talking about White Star's canceled/unbuilt ships like the RMMV Oceanic, but no one ever brings up the RMS Germanic!

ROTBTD: Streamer AU - Part 1

Rapunzel didn’t know if she had ever been more excited for anything than she was walking through the door of TwitchCon. When Eugene, her manager/roommate/oldest friend in the world said that they had been asked to come, she was over the moon. But actually being here was totally different. There were so many sights and sounds and smells. It was the best sort of overwhelming.

Or maybe not as she could feel herself starting to hyperventilate. And, oh dear, where was Eugene. He was supposed to stick by her side. But there were so many people. Maybe he was lost? But she was right by the front door and he was just here. Maybe she was lost?

A cold hand touched her shoulder and steered her away from where she was standing. She let herself be moved. She didn’t want to inconvenience anyone by standing in their way. That would be very bad and very rude and not at all the sort of impression she wanted to present at TwitchCon.

And then she could hear counting. And someone was trying to get her to match their breaths. And that was nice of them. And this space was quite a bit less crowded and noisy. And then as her breathing slowed, she opened her eyes up again to see a pair of concerned blue ones looking back.

“You okay?” the eyes’ owner asked. “Sorry if touching isn’t okay, but you were in front of the doors and I didn’t want you to get hurt.”

Rapunzel nodded as she got her breathing fully under control. “Thank you.. Um…”

“Jack,” the young man said and stuck his hand out for a handshake. She grabbed it and looked him over. Grey jeans, blue sweatshirt with a snowflake design, and pure white hair. He let out a slightly embarrassed chuckle when he noticed her looking at his hair. “I stream under the name Jack Frost though. If you got a brand, well…”

Rapunzel giggled. “I know what you mean. I’m Rapunzel aka TanglesTower.” And without consulting her brain, her hands threw out finger guns when she said it and she wanted to die.

The boy - Jack - took a second before bursting out laughing. “You are exactly like your streams,” he guffaws. It took Rapunzel a second to realize what he meant.

“You watch my streams?” she squeaked out as the heat of embarrassment lit up her face even more.

Jack’s laugh died down and he stood from the bench that she doesn’t even remember sitting down on. He stretched as he said, “It’d be hard not to. You’re one of the big up-and-coming indie game streamers here. When I found out you were going to be here, I knew I wanted to meet you in person. I didn’t think it would be like this, but…” Jack shrugged in an effort to be nonchalant as he let his sentence trail off.

Rapunzel nodded. “Well, if you wanted to walk around together, I wouldn’t be opposed. I don’t know where Eugene is and I would prefer not to be alone. If it’s no trouble for you of course! I don’t want to impose if you have panels or activities or whatever.”

Jack shakes his head. “No, I don’t have anything pressing.” He grins and holds out an elbow like an old-timey gentleman. “Millady,” he says with a mock bow. She smacks him lightly with her Con brochure before taking his arm.
