I've finally gotten around to reading the Jack Sparrow books and have just finished reading Dance of the Hours. Now I have a bad habit of spoiling things for myself, I knew Fitzwilliam was going to betray Jack. What I wasn't expecting was him being connected to the Navy or EITC. Honestly makes me wish the rest of the crew hadn't left.

I want to talk abour tpof (and honestly is underated af and the fandom should talk about this masterpiece more) but I don't know what to say. So, what's your opinion about this book? (I know you haven't read it, but how do you imagine it/what is your opinion about the story, characters etc from what have you seen until now?)
Based on what I know, I adore it. It’s interesting and angsty
My favorite character(please tell me he’s in it, because I love him more than I realistically should), other than Jack, is Fitzwilliam.
I love Arabella and Jean and Constance are interesting, but Fitzwilliam is such a good concept for future angst and character development. I can’t imagine him not being attached to everyone else, at least to a point.

My headcanon is that at some point in the future, Jack and Fitzy kinda sorta patch things up. An adult Fitzy realizes how many lies were shoved down his throat, growing disillusioned with the Navy. Jack runs into him enough to kind of sort of trust him. In some situations.
In this headcanon
Fitzy is part of the reason it took Beckett so long to advance. No one is allowed to leave scars on Jack except him.
Neither Barbossa nor Fitzy like each other.
Most of Jack and Fitzy's encounter start with a fight. How they end varies.

Modern!Fitzwilliam AU
Says he just moved to America from England and hates Americans.
Claims his dad owns a big name tech company.
He’s from England, but lied about being recently moved and lied about his father’s job. His family actually secretly works within the government.
Well-bred rich basic white boy
Snooty little bitch
Brags about all the celebrities he meets and the connections with the film and tech industries, but they are all lies.
The boy is drippin in Gucci, Dior, and other expensive name brands.
The ultimate flexer. Will use social media purely to flex his wealth.
The gold pocket watch in the books is a Rolex in this AU. The watch was still from his sister.
He has a manbuuuuuunnn
Tracksuits and fancy jackets, and nothing is under $1000
Kinda backwards thinking but always contradicts himself (ie. Will try to be a gentleman to the girls in the school but will back off after he’s told not to multiple times, Is toxically masculine, but is a huge softie on the inside..)
Was kinda friends with Arabella before their adventures.
Usually the target in Jack’s flights.
Arabella hit him up after she and Jack set up their plan to run away together, not knowing the two hated each other’s guts. She didn’t tell him Jack was there so when he met up with them, shit kinda went down. The two kinda now have a love-hate bromance in the friendship triangle.
