I'm probably not the first one who's ever said this, but in a way it's sort of genius that Yugo and Amalia would fall for each other. Yugo has draconic blood and Amalia is a Sadida; Sadida's Dolls were created to make Dragons fall in love with them. In a way, it was inevitable.

does deidara start calling minato dad to fuck with him or is he unwilling to commit to the bit.
i think deidara is allergic to the bit unless it's one he's crafted himself. horrible scene partner tbh. although if you just need someone to have some sort of reactionary meltdown, he's your guy!
if i actually went in this direction, it would be "the harder deidara denies it, the more people believing he's Covering For It." very few people in konoha actually believe the popular international rumor bc of minato and kushina's very public romance, but it's a popular dare to ask deidara about it and then watch the fireworks
also it's the type of stupid i think the namikaze-uzumaki household would think is funny. every once in a while minato clasps deidara on the shoulder and goes, "son--" naruto is allowed to use the word "bastard" in front of his parents if he follows it immediately with "brother." deidara hates all of them
minato at a team dinner: it's been a long time since we had a family reunion
deidara: i am going to kill every single one of you
itachi: personally i don't recommend it

moonlit date
(first fanrt finished on my iPad wahoo!)
this was meant to be posted last Friday, as a little something to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival while I steal everyone’s mooncakes. unfortunately my exams thought otherwise and I got my iPad confiscated. whoops.
extra time did make this look a lot better, so I’m not saying that’s a bad thing
gotta love how an inside joke between me and my IRLs about drawing Jekyll in a traditional Chinese outfit got carried so far, it still looks lovely tho

What I’m discovering about the In Sound Mind fandom as I become more and more obsessed is it is defined by two things:
‘Damn I feel bad for these characters, they deserved SO much better.’
Arguing which side of the therapist is sexier.

also y’know how some artists’ albums are like. a season. y’know oh this album is so autumn feeling or summer etc. well i don’t think lord huron has that obviously they have songs that fit that BUT i think they have albums for the times of day absolutely locked down:
lonesome dreams IS a morning album with its nature theme and its blue and tan colors and the feeling of setting out on the beginning of an adventure with songs like “ends of the earth” and “she lit a fire” and “i will be back one day” and i think “the ghost on the shore” is such an early sunrise song especially when paired with she lit a fire 🌅
strange trails is absolutely an afternoon album. TO ME. i think it stretches the bounds more than the other albums bc some songs are sooo night time themed BUT overall? “la belle fleur sauvage” and “meet me in the woods” and "cursed" and "fool for love" etc feel like wandering through the woods in the afternoon (maybe it’s autumn and the leaves are crunching or maybe it’s spring and everything is still dead except the new wildflowers or maybe it’s summer and everything is sooo green who knows) searching for SOMETHING. and also i think "way out there" and "louisa" both lead into late afternoon early evening really well 🏞️
vide noir is so obviously the night time album with the black and neon green colors and the range between lower waltzy sounding songs like “wait by the river” or “when the night is over” and the full blown speakers songs like “ancient names part 1&2” and “never ever” is so indicative of the way a night can start off really loud and rowdy but eventually settle into a quiet thing and the emerald star and the moon being so prominent…. in contrast to strange trails, vide noir is so firmly entrenched in night time it’s insane 🌃
long lost is such an evening album with the desert sunset vibe and the blue and orange color scheme and the theme of change and endings going with the last bits of sunlight signifying the end of the day and the uncertainty of tomorrow and time’s blur just being this beautiful amalgamation of sounds with the prominence of twenty long years' nostalgic twang oughhhhh my beautiful sunset album 🏜️

listen. the damien moreau vibes are very fun, nicholae schiller is very cute, but I want to talk about how much he cares about his father.
how laszlo schiller will turn the television back on to keep watching sports while nicholae's taking an important call and nicholae just gives him a look about it that speaks of exasperation and nothing more. how nicholae takes advice from his father, with a grain of salt, yes, but internalises it all the same, which I didn't really see until darkfinch pointed it out. how we don't see any true cruelty or resentment in this relationship at all, which compared with the absolutely toxic petrov patriarch situation is kind of stunning all by itself.
(nicholae makes a "when will he die" type comment once to his second in command/secretary, who offers to take care of it without any real weight to it - like he knows it's not a real wish, like it's the kind of petty comment that won't leave that room, that stays between friends.)
and then nicholae's dad gets rushed to hospital with a heart attack. and immediately, desperately, nicholae's priority is to be by his side, because his father can't stand hospitals, because he needs to see that nicholae's there. when laszlo does wake, back at home hooked up to beeping machines with someone in scrubs in the background, nicholae sends the medical person away immediately to get water (maybe just to leave laszlo's line of sight) and just… reassures him. stays there for him.
...…do you ever watch something in a story that feels so private it feels wrong to comment on it? because by this point we've seen the numbers tattooed on laszlo's arm several times. by this point we've seen someone call nicholae romani as an insult. and we've seen laszlo worried about his son, about his new business associate, about whether she's working against him, and we see laszlo here now scared and trying to warn him about it -
and when it's clear to nicholae that his father is jumping at shadows (at the horrors in his past that are all too real) he takes a moment to visibly collect himself then is just so kind about it. so gentle. switches to english like it's easier to lie that way and reassures his father that he'll see to it, that it's okay. and he does. and it is.
(always, inescapably, this is a character who murders, who works with monsters, who sells guns and hard drugs, who isn't above coercing someone into working for him. I know this post might get read by people who haven't seen the show; I don't want to mislead them.)
when I say I love this character I mean (among other things, admittedly) that there is so much humanity to him. and this relationship is such a surprising and real example of that.

he complains about not being able to drive and yet, when he ages to at the least sixty throughout hellblazer, not once does he learn to drive. or get his license.
i believe he’s about thirty five here, and some other panels i showed of him not being able to drive, he’s. definitely not thirty.
silly john. someone teach him to teleport and solve all of his problems so he isn’t sleeping on public transportation.
