Modern AU Proto Cú x Arthur x Proto Gil (fun fact, this is also related to "Dog House", the WIP I talked about before. Arthur exists there too as Arturia's older twin. The OG Gil isn't in that universe at all.)

Pre-relationship 5 Did either of them try to resist their feelings?

The proto boys have the rare privilege of not being riddled with that much drama. What pervades their lives is an irresistible, continuous stream of competitiveness that does wonders for them (just not for everyone around them, they leave a trail of destruction in their wake).

It doesn't help that literally anything can be a gadfly to Proto-Gil, because the mad lad has an Ash Ketchum worthy desire to be the best, and therefore he will put every effort into making sure he's the best kisser, hugger, fuckelover in the polycule. He'd already had the hots for Arthur right off the bat, but as soon as he realized the blonde came with a blue-haired accessory, he decided welp, guess this is now a threesome.

Proto-Cu met Arthur first, through Arturia, who was bffs with Lancer Cú. Although Arthur had just gotten out of a bad relationship (which made him want to delay officially asking Cú out), he pretty much knew he liked Proto right from the start.

Gil came into Arthur's life pretty soon after he met Proto Cú, because they were stacked against each other during an intercampus university competition in fencing, which Arthur won. And though Gil mainly competed for archery, he wouldn't let that loss go and just kept pestering Arthur for rematches until he eventually realized they were kinda dating. Plus Cú was always with them, but he never got mad at Gil being there, he just enjoyed being with Arthur.

So Arthur, being the responsible, caring guy he is, decided they were all dating and nobody said no.

General 4 Were they each other’s first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?

Arthur and Gil were Cú's first boyfriends. (Since all the other Cú's also exist, Proto is the youngest and Ferdiad, Medb, and Emer are attributed to his older brothers) He's the youngest in the polycule, and is a full year younger than the other two. Although he's the least experienced, he's also the most enthusiastic. Arthur was his first kiss.

Gil's first everything was Enkidu, and although he and Enkidu are still close friends, Enkidu eventually decided to court their first love, Shamhat. He's had a few casual experiences since then.

Arthur used to date Lancelot. Arturia used to date Guinevere. Uhh...shit happened. Anyway, while he's had a boyfriend before, this is his first time having two. Does that count?

Love 4 How often do they cuddle/engage in PDA?

Arthur, being the gentleman as always, tries to avoid overt amorous displays. He shows he cares by opening doors and offering his elbow to escort his two partners, but apart from that he's rather reserved. On special occasions, however, he does pull out the flower bouquets and movie tickets. (He'd bring chocolate but the Chulainns are severely allergic.) He took them both to a carnival fair last year and they went around trying all the booths.

Cú and Gil are not shy at all when it comes to showing affection, and because of their nature, they always try to one-up each other whenever they're out together. Poor Arthur has to deal with getting glomped pretty often. Its a good thing he can still walk even with both his partners clinging to him. Advantages of 181 cm (RIP to Arturia, but he's different) even though he's technically still the shortest.

ooo tell me about your favorite mythology ship and/or story?? Why do you love them/it so much?

I’ll start by saying that it is so sweet of you to send all these out!!

I have so many favorite ships, but the one I have chosen to talk about here is CÚ CHULAINN X FERDIAD <333

Whether their relationship is canon or not is debated (they’re irish btw)

The way they’d been friends since childhood and known eachother basically FOREVER and then through the misunderstanding in the Táin had their tragic end and Cú Chulainn didn’t realize the truth until after it was too late and Ferdiad was dead is just SO SAD AND TOUCHING TO ME 😭❤️

I also have a whole lot of favorite mythology stories, but the Iliad is DEFINITELY one of the best imo <333

I find all of the different characters and the backstories that go along with them so interesting and also I think the Iliad is ONE OF THE SADDEST THINGS EVER 😭😭😭
