I definitely love the idea of a werecat - so often do we see werewolves in fiction but I think that the idea of shifting into other animals is unique and fun, especially cats - since cats are very savvy animals and natural hunters and predators - and I think it’s really awesome and cool that you came up with your own lore for this - I definitely think that takes a lot of creativity and patience and courage and I respect the hell out of that.

She took a few tentative steps forward and sniffed the air again, eyes wide and searching, paying no mind at all to any strange looks she might’ve gained from her odd behavior. 

     When her gaze settled on a dark-haired woman nearby, she gave a final sniff—and realized she’d found the source. She blinked a few times, bringing up her hands to sign—

i saw you’ve got a shapeshifter verse for cat so what would she think if she ever meets another shapeshifter? would she get along with them? or would it be the other way around?

so i gotta be honest but whatever cat’s backstory is on that verse is probably no longer relevant because.  the thing i’ve discovered with the shapeshifting verse is her exact story depends on my partner and the world they exist in. thus this might sound like a cop out but honestly it depends on my partner and how i approach her story.  for the most part, i don’t think cat would really care.  she would treat another shapeshifter like any other person.  they’re not necessarily an ally just because of that commonality.  and her rough personality might not meld with them no matter what ( it’s easy for cat to come off annoying to others and them to her but ultimately she would make enemies of very few ). in worlds where shapeshifters are condemned/looked down upon or the like, she might be more willing to trust but.  she still wouldn’t just automatically trust or like because i would generally work with her backstory to portray her in a way where both humans and shapeshifters are part of the pain of her life.  i’m not a “one side is better than the other” mentality too often unless that’s canonical to the world i’m writing.  i and cat prefer to look at people as individuals.  so species/race/etc...  none of that means anything.  it will come down to character because, in the end, most everyone is capable of doing something terrible or treating someone awful. so this isn’t a super exact answer to you...  but she wouldn’t hate another shapeshifter or even like one just for that ability.  that isn’t a connection to her unless it’s a world of scorn.  then she might appreciate it more because cat doesn’t know what it’s like to really be herself, so she takes advantage of those moments when she can.

It depends on what's been plotted or my OOC dynamic with the mun. Some muses just click and make sense with mine so much right off the bat that I feel comfortable writing at any point of their relationship or jump into events without previous buildup, aka a lot of things happened off-screen. This is most likely the case if I feel like my writing partner is as invested in the ship as I am.

     To say it had been a rough day at the doctor’s office was a huge understatement. Anne could hardly stop herself from fantasizing about a long, relaxing bubble bath and the warm, freshly-changed sheets on her bed. Oh, she longed to curl up and sleep for a good long time.

     When she heard someone speak up, she knew her deserved night-in was not to be. Sucking in a breath, she briefly closed her eyes as she composed herself—particularly her face. Even so, her smile felt tight as she turned to the young woman.

     “No shame in gettin’ lost,” she said, sweeping back some strands of hair off her face. She was certain she looked bedraggled and worn, her nurse’s scrubs a bit wrinkled, her face peaky even with the smile. And she was so tired, she thought she smelled cat or another were or something. Damnit, she was tired. “Some folks look at it like an adventure.” 

      But the girl hadn’t asked for her opinion—only for her help. “Where are you tryin’ to get to? I’ll point you the right way if I can.”

Many would think fish are the lamest pet to have - you can't take them out on walks or cuddle with them but just like any other animal, the little blokes have personalities of their own. Marianne would know - she had a beta called Sir Gallahad when she was a kid. That was, until a stray cat somehow made its was into their house and (allegedly) ate him.

"Wash your hands and put your finger into the water," Marianne replied. "And tend to it, of course. Give it treats just like you would a cat or a dog."

we’ve just started following each other but I vibe ! lots of interesting ladies and lore to explore and get to know. I’ll probably add you on Discord, since I think I saw you do a drop... but like. anyone who writes female ocs automatically rocks in my book because the rpc is dumb as shit. I’m very intrigued by your witchy ocs - being something of one myself - and I can’t wait to dive into their lore ! overall it seems like you’ve put a lot of time and heart into your characters.

it can be really fucking disheartening being in the rpc. I’ve been there, and it seems like you have too. no one reblogs your promo, you never get asks, and it feels like you’re doing it for nothing. but you aren’t ! you are seen and valid, you are a worthy rp blog. it’s not always sunshine and roses and feeling wanted all the time but we have to remember that this is just a part of our life, and the lives of others, but the longer we hang in there and the more we try the better we begin to feel about it. I still get self-conscious, but every time one of the friends or partners I’ve gained in my time in the rpc reblogs my promo or likes my ooc post, it feels worthwhile.

so hang in there, enza. I can’t say it gets better, but it gets easier in a way. we keep doing what we do for the people who want us and that’s all we can do. just need to find people, and you will. and this feels more bitter than sweet, sorry. but genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, I know you love your characters and I appreciate you for that. from one creator to another, you’re doing great and I hope you begin to feel that too. but really, thank you for being what you are and bringing what you do to this hellsite, and know its something no one else can provide here or replace. you are 110% authentic and your struggle is 110% valid. hang in there.
