I am tired. Had to somehow print tickets for a guy who had them on his old phone which had no service, an email that couldn't send emails, and tickets that for some reason couldn't even be downloaded as a pdf even thought the option was there. When asked why not just bring the old phone his answer was "then I'd be carrying two phones!". My brain was scrambled today, couldn't explain anything, and the only librarian who could have helped just didn't bother coming to the front desk when we asked her for help so I got to stumble through the whole thing. He finally went home and brought his laptop(which had access to the email which, by the way, he didn't remember the password for) and finally finally was able to forward the email to mine so we would print them from that.
My brain has been mush, possibly since recovering from covid(again. i hate it i hate it i hate it) a couple weeks ago. I am a tired clerk. Have some asks.

Are one-shots really underrated?(i am confused by this question but, you know, brains)

1. First of all, Jaskier wanted to make it clear that he never meant to save the Witcher’s life and somehow get the man to follow him around insisting some nonsense about a life debt; really the saving was entirely accidental, not that he was upset to have done so.
2. Hmmm, I don’t know if I’d call many things plotless - plot isn’t always action, you know? - but things were there COULD be a plot if I wrote more of it? I suppose. I can’t find it but there’s a Ripples verse ficlet of Peggy and Daniel taking Tony to the snow and then having a snowball fight I’m majorly fond of. Might be linked on moon’s blog page for the series’ we wrote. I’ll try to find the link for it later. (HERE - just a fluffy ficlet for a verse Moon and I haven’t ever fully published.)
3. That is a bit of a confusing question. I guess it depends on how you define underrated. I think many readers love longer multi chapter fics, but I’ve read some amazing epic one shots that were so damn good and remain favorites of mine. There’s also some incredibly good short ones. I think it just comes to a matter of taste.

A running joke I have is getting a pink axolotl and naming him Peepo. There have been 5 Peepos now, the original was a rare blue boi.
Other than that there’s a red parrot I have on one world called Admiral Beaky. There’s my actual small army of cats: baby, jellie (because that’s who she is! We love her!!), meowy, botos binted, dollie, dominio and my most recent addition beetroot.
I’ve had one single doggy in my whole minecraft life and her name was Beautiful.
I have a panda called Mochi and my allay is called Tikki

Favourite music disc is otherside without a doubt. What an absolute vibe.
But favourite Minecraft songs in general is so hard so imma just wave my hands at the entirety of the caves and cliffs music. And also Sweden. That one is very nostalgic for me.

For those of you who said you'd like to see more of the build (specifically @felawnie & @yourpalzero), here's a walkthough of my stone arches starter base! Along with my storage in the lower middle, I have my prismarine shop on the lower left, and likely a flower & plant shop on the lower right, which I've yet to stock and label :)
It seems none of the painting that are on the walls loaded, so they look a bit bare, but everything else seems to have come through in the rendering! Sorry if it's a bit "wooshy" with the camera, it was my first real time using the Replay mod and, that said, first time using camera paths.
The quality is better on YT if you'd like to see it in more detail!

So, I followed a link from another blog over to the first part of a de-aged avengers story, over here(which was super cute) but there's no link to the other parts and I don't know how to find them...Halp? Loki de-aged everyone but Tony so Tony has to deal with a bunch of 4 yr olds. I tried clicking on some of the tags at the bottom(that usually brings up everything on the blog with that tag?) but they didn't even bring up the post I read. Am at a loss.

Zech, 1: Do they get cold easily?
Hmm... you know, I haven't much thought of it. I know the Hounds don't, but Zech.... Hm. I think he doesn't get cold that easily compared to the average person. Compared to the Hounds though... yes lol.
Harlem, 18: What does a lazy morning consist of?
Staying in bed with Zech. Zech making him chocolate chip pancakes. Probably lots of physical affection.
And before Zech was in his life, it consisted of sleeping in and then haivng something sweet and quick to eat before starting his day.
Cinder, 23: Does your character have a favorite place to chill?
Probably somewhere quiet and cozy, with a view outside - like a window seat or next to patio doors or something. She probably goes to sit and read... probably while cuddled up to Po.
Damek, 5: It's cold and wet outside, your OC has just come through the front door. What do they do to get warm?
Is this before or after Damek learns self-care....?
Before he learns to actually take care of himself: This is presuming he actually prioritizes getting warm and dry instead of continuing work or checking on/looking after someone else first. Once he did that, it'd be stripping off his wet clothes, drying himself off, maybe a perfunctory and very quick warm shower, and then dressing again. (Probably to, you guessed it, continue working.)
After he starts caring about himself: Get out of the wet clothes. A hot shower until he feels warm and relaxed. Putting on comfy flannel sleep pants and a warm hoodie or sweatshirt. Maybe even socks on his feet if he still feels a bit chilled. Goes to have something to eat that's filling and warm, like soup or something. If it's late enough in the day, takes himself to bed. If not, quietly does some work - but only after he's warmed up again.

So, in regards to the popular opinions thing, AUs and Sansukh. Speculation and time travel speculation! LET'S SPECULATE ON WHY WE LOVE SPECULATING SO MUCH.

Well, I know I can positively speak for myself at least, and I love speculative stories like time travel or what ifs because its often the best way of digging into why I love a specific setting or character.
Why would Han Solo be so cool in the TCW universe? Because much like in canon he’d turn it all on its head thanks to his inability to say “nope, not my monkeys not my circus”. Would he go in trying to fix everything? Hell no… but somehow, he still would. Probably from a place of hilarious selfishness, like if he’s in the past why not try to rescue his orphaned younger self? He wouldn’t think about consequences. Yet doing that would cause a chain reaction ultimately, somehow, leading to the early downfall of Palpatine because in the end far too much of Star Wars begins and ends with Han Solo trying to save himself by saving others.
(Plus if he’s gonna exist as a sad little orphan while Boba Fett exists as a sad little orphan, let kid Boba flex that desperate need for a family by deciding kid Han is his little brother. There is no better trope than evil villain finds a kid and decides “Yes, I can be good now”)
But me blathering about AUs I’m too nervous to actually post aside, I bet this whole line of reasoning - that speculation lets us really discover why we love specific characters so much - is why I adore Sansûkh so much. That and it’s just genuinely well executed. Why would Thorin Oakenshield in LOTR be interesting? Because the dude is a beacon of self-guilt that would have been able to work through it if given the chance, plus he can’t leave well enough alone so ofc he’d latch onto the One Ring Squad as a spectral mother hen. In doing so he also helps other members of the ghostly peanut gallery work through their issues, and we get this wonderful plethora of characters dealing with their shit.
(Plus, dwarrowdams. Dead or alive, Sansûkh does them the best I’ve ever seen)

🍎(apple) preferred food to munch on in game?
I'm a golden carrot kinda guy, I either get them through my villager trades or through using my gold farm if I've got one set up. TBH I never typically have a gold farm set up unless I'm on a realm or server with others, trading is sooooo much easier.
🧭 (compass) how often do you get lost?
Honestly not that often tbh! Once I'm familiar with the area around my base I'm usually good. The only places I get lost are the nether and in the new caves. Drop me in a mineshaft and watch me run around in literal circles for hours on end.
⛏ (pickaxe) what tools do you always keep with you on your hotbar? What is the most important tool to have on you?
Early game I only ever have a pick, axe and shovel on me at all times. Late game though once I have access to shulkers and enderchests I have a little tool box I keep on me. Usually have my silktouch pick and fortune pick in hand though.
The most important tools for me are shears or silktouch hoes. I have a need for leaves. An intense need for leaves. Golly do I love leaves.
💎 (diamond)
survival or creative? I enjoy both! Depends how I'm feeling. If I just wanna vibe, creative for sure but sometimes I just need to zone out and grind after a long day at work.
End or Nether? Nether for now, just because there's more there than the End. Though I do love getting my wings.
Deep Dark or Snowy Slopes? Deep Dark big scary and the music freaks me out, Snowy Slopes make my heart go eEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE because I just adore mountains and have wanted proper ones in minecraft for YEARS.
Dripstone or Lush Caves? Dripstone has very dramatic scenery but Lush,,,,,,,, Lush Caves my beloved. There is peace held in those caves. An axolotls. But mostly peace.
Mangrove or Meadow? Mangrove is very pretty don't get me wrong but the feeling I get from meadow biomes is just. Thats home baby, thats my home. Plus my soul will forever be slighly disapointed in the mangroves due to the way the Wild Update shook the minecraft community.
Allay or Frog? Frog :) Allay are cute but I get sooooooooo stressed out when having one with me because I'm so scared they'll get hurt. Frogs are just Vibing.

I just remembered the very first Felawnie. She was a dark elf in EQ, a low ranking member of a Neriak house(pretty sure she hung out in the J'Narus Private Mansion) who liked strolls along the fortifications, practicing magic on rooftops(pro tip: don’t cast Blind on yourself when on a rooftop), delivering letters, and then using the proceeds from delivering letters to buy alcohol and getting drunk in her room. What fun. She had a schedule and everything. I’d play her exactly once a day. XD Do her silly little tasks, spend all her money on booze, get her blackout drunk, log off. Just your ordinary 12 yr old, playing a drunkard.
