Happy New Year!

Starting 2024 off with something a little different!

While struggling to stay awake and celebrate New Year's, my daughter had drawn a "princess causing destruction with her magic and dragons" on my ipad and asked me to redraw her art "in my style. " She requested that I make it Barbie like, so please forgive the stiff arms and generic happy expression lol. I helped her with the castle so I just kept that mostly the same. We had symmetry on to help her, so I did the same for most of mine lol

Messing with Procreate Dreams and animating part of my latest Pearl fanart. Also added some extra shine to her face, crown and hair and gave her defined eyebrows if you're playing spot the differences lol.

Might try to have her tossing the bomb in the air, but honestly, just seeing if I can figure the program out and a wink and tongue 'blep' is way easier than animating an arm and hand for a novice while matching the style I originally drew it in. I'm certainly not great at it, but it was kinda fun to do!

Wondering if I should try to actually animate something as opposed to just a modified drawing.

It's supposed to be an impish gesture (she's about to toss a bomb on the warden below) since even in the original drawing it looks like she's about to stick her tongue out. BLEP! 😜

While these shots are in creative, I've already built the island, trunk and branches in survival on the ROG SMP. Lots and lots of grinding. Like, a week's worth, at least, and around 15 hours of build time, all done solo. Still need to place all of the leaves, but I've already gathered all the mats!

Why did I design this massive tree and island, you ask? Why, to hide my industrial area which currently includes: guardian farm, super smelter, cactus farm, and guardian farm's afk spot (which is also a tree farm), of course! That's the sane thing to do, right?!

Island: cyan terracotta, stone, moss, grass, tuff, mycelium, cobblestone, dirt, sea lanterns, moss carpet, and glow lichen

Bark: acacia wood, basalt, sea lanterns, gray carpet, and glow lichen

Leaves: green stained glass & panes, lime stained glass & panes, yellow stained glass & panes, azalea leaves, oak leaves, moss and soooooo many sea lanterns.

Shaders: ComplimentaryReimagined

Below is where it's at in survival. So hard to get ALL of it in a screenshot and looks a bit odd due to the lower view and FOV. It's 100% spawn proof to keep the guardian farm rates from falling.

Almost 300,000 blocks total when done (not including the farms themselves), and goes from sea level to build height.
