magnus chase and the gods of asgard is refreshing in a way where no one is actually chasing after magnus and magnus isnt actively chasing after anyone else. like yea he drops subtle hints that he has feelings for alex but he doesn't even recognize or understand these feelings until the last 100 pages of the last book and he's a real one for that tbh

it’s finally starting to settle in that christmas is in 3 fucking days
#like. it doesnt even feel like winter#maybe i’m js getting older but last i checked i was counting down the hours and it was getting hard to sleep at night#it was a “its finally cold out! my favorite time of year! we’re off on break! christmas is almost here!”#n now its a “oh right christmas. free stuff”#my parents apparently have something big planned for my 18th this year and i can’t bring myself to even look forward to it?#like. yeah. my fucking eighteenth birthday is in like a week#and the start of a new year is less of a celebration and more of a sigh of relief#its more of a “yippee. another year. at least it’s a fresh start.”#i think this is the 2020 effect#2020 was 4 years ago guys. that is absolutely insane#its not even nostalgia it’s just “wow. okay.”#its like getting punched in the gut yk#2020 was the last year the holidays felt right.#now my whole life feels like a blur and i cannot believe it was four whole years ago#and now we’re entering 2024 with nothing but see you again by tyler the creator and a few loose hopes#the election is this year#maybe things will fix themselves and go back to normal#thats all ive ever wanted since 2020 ended. was for things to just be normal#after the masking mandates were lifted i felt like maybe they could#but im just kinda being rushed through life#and i wish it would just be normal.

#now all i rmb is just their first meeting#i rmb it was pretty late into the night where short haired girl just wanted a breath of fresh air#they met at a comvenience store crazy when she bumped into Long Hair girl while turning a corner on one of the aisles#then she saw that the long hair girl was holding a cup of coffee that she was otw to pay for like ‘coffee at this hour???’#then they just kept the conversation going with a bit of awkwardness at first but#yk when some strangers r just rlly easy to talk to#and u kinda just feel comfy sharing your worries bc . well they’re a stranger u won’t rlly see them again#BUT NO LOL they bump into each other again in a coffee shop#then they said hi to each other and i think long hair girl was more outgoing cuz she invited the short hair to like#sit w her and chat#cuz their previous conversation like idk a few weeks ago was rlly nice i suppose#then they exchanged social medias and then the saga begins.#that’s literally all i rmb now :(

pros of my water vase shower technique
-didnt have to go in the main house
-i an clean
-i can do it whenever i want instead of just 8-9pm
-makes me feel like some kind of medieval peasant

-hair is a pain (but i can probably just do it in the downstairs bathroom sink instead)
-Really quite cold ( but i hahe a heater down here so i can get warm pretty quickly once its through
-my knees rly hurt 😭 and they r bruising already.. i set up my towel on the concrete instead of my little carpet area due to like. water. yk. and then i was just kneeling for it mostly
-Im gonna need more towels 😭😭
#im gonna buy my own.. bc i just used the one from my kast shower 4 the ground towek#and then a fresh one for actually drying me#but the ground towel did nottt. do much LMAO#and the showers we have r all theirs so i feel bad 4 using 2 of them . yk...#BUT i think this was rly good for when im having a dire day like 2day. #my bf has to take the therapist licence exam tomorrow but he thought it was saturday so yk incredible amount of anxiety#over not feeling ready & if he doesn't pass he may lose his job & its his dream so to lose that i worry#about how it would effect his mental health if he doesn't pass#but at the same time i believe in him & hes got a ton of practical experience way more than ppl taking the exam fresh outta college#so i feel very confident in him but the trouble is getting him to feel confident in himself bc this exam is THE big deal for therapists#and ik he hasn't had time to study as much as he wanted to bc obviously he has to work & pay bills n shit#idk we just had a two hour long call & i was just trying to be reassuring and give him confidence to do this#without minimizing his feelings bc i know that is such a huge deal & its years worth of anxiety on him rn over this test#like i even said I'm willing to do anything to help him feel better about it like I'll help him study over video call tonight and tomorrow#morning I'll drive with him to the test site so he feels calmer like I'll do anything to help#but he was like getting physically sick from the anxiety so I'm so afraid he might sabotage himself just from being this upset#©.editorials

I’m honestly really enjoying that they haven’t fixed portal travel immediately. Obviously I doubt it’s going to be a permanent change, I’m sure that it’ll be fixed someway through the season and at most, during the final - but it’s so cool to see something that has been so taken for granted up until this point just gone. I feel like some really interesting stuff could be done with that restriction and I’m interested to see how the writers go about it in the coming eps.
