With an S/O That Loves Giving Random Affection

Frederick

It really depends on time and place for how he reacts to your random affection. No matter what, he always gets flustered. But depends on if it's an angry blush on his face or an embarrassed, but loving blush that he has.

Please never hug him or kiss him in front of Chrom or Lissa. They will never let him live it down. His heart doesn't know if he can take the teasing plus your affectionate self.

If it is more private moments of affection, like when he's trying to clean his armor or something then he still blushes, but you get a loving look from him as he'll peck your cheek or temple in return.

Gunter

Can't help a bit of a chuckle when you do get affectionate with him. He doesn't quite know what you like about cuddling him in his armor, but he'll pat you on the head or kiss your forehead in return.

Honestly, the little bits of affection you give him helps remind him to relax and breathe.

While he enjoys the affection, he isn't a huge fan if you kiss him or hug him when he's trying to teach you how to do something.

Jakob

Depending on where you kiss him gets you a different reaction. If it's his cheek or forehead then expect to hear him say, "You missed." Although some cheek kisses has him turning his head at the last moment to catch your lips against his.

He loves feeling your arms wrapping around him from behind if he's busy. Jakob pauses to enjoy the feeling of your hug but then he needs to get back to work, promises you cuddles later.

Might give you random affection in turn. He'll talk to you about something and then cut off your words with a kiss of his own. Happens all the time if you're having a playful argument.

Yukimura

There are still moments when he has a hard time with emotions, but he always has a small smile when you do randomly show up to kiss his cheek or hug him. Might not reciprocate the affection, but he does thank you.

Might give you a teasing glare if he's working on something and you interrupt or surprise him with a quick hug. He might just stop you from leaving and pull you into his lap so you get your cuddles, and he can keep working.

Is a fan of cuddling together while he's reading a book but might scold you lightly if you keep distracting him with kisses. You might get a light smack with his book if you keep it up.

a/n: Thank you for the ask, anon! I feel like I need to replay FE14 now… I started a new file on Birthright like a year ago and I haven’t finished it… Sorry Takumi, guess I can’t marry you – Mod Hikari

He works a lot. He’s always busy helping plan some strategy, or tinkering around with potentially helpful inventions in his spare time. To not work feels strange to him, but he appreciates it when you remind him to take breaks, or bring him water when he gets to caught up in work to take care of himself.

He’s a huge cuddler at night. He doesn’t even realize it himself, as he’s half asleep, but he’ll curl up close to you, arms snug around your waist, legs tangled together. It’s comforting for him to feel you so close to him.

It doesn’t seem like it, but he is a bit of a romantic at heart. It can anything simple, from a hand kiss to making breakfast together in the morning. Plan a nice dinner under the moonlight with candles and wine and he’ll melt.

He enjoys reading, so he’ll often recommend you books. Even if you’re not a huge fan of reading, the books he chooses are always really interesting and engaging for you. He understands your tastes, after all. Sometimes the two of you will just read together in the evenings, and if you read the same book, you’ll both make comments and wonder about what will happen next in the plot.

You and Yukimura had been friends for as long as you could remember. Ever since you joined the army, the two of you fought side by side, facing countless battles and overcoming various challenges together. It's no wonder that you've grown close, and your feelings have progressed beyond what a typical friendship should have.

One quiet evening, after a particularly arduous battle, the campfire crackled softly in the dimly lit clearing. The sound of your comrades' chatter faded into the background as you found yourselves seated beside each other, sharing a rare moment of tranquility. The camp was alive with muffled laughter and the distant clinking of armor, but your attention was solely on Yukimura.

His usually stoic expression was softened by the flickering glow of the fire. You could see the fatigue etched on his face, evidence of the burdens he carried as the strategist of the army. You couldn't help but feel a pang of concern for him.

"Yukimura," you murmured, breaking the comfortable silence between you. "Are you doing alright?"

He glanced at you, his eyes reflecting a mix of gratitude and exhaustion. "I appreciate your concern, but I'm fine. Just weary from the day's battles."

You nodded, a gentle smile playing on your lips. "I'm glad to hear that. You've done an incredible job leading us. I don't know where we'd be without you."

Yukimura's gaze lingered on your face for a moment longer than usual, his eyes searching yours as if trying to decipher something hidden within them. "Thank you," he replied, his voice filled with a touch of vulnerability. "Your support means everything to me."

Something was stirring between you two at each other's words. So much emotion was being felt by the two of you as well as hesitance for if this is the right time. But is there ever a right time in the middle of war?

Unable to contain your feelings any longer, you tentatively reached out and placed a hand on his, your fingers intertwining with his. The touch was soft and hesitant, but it spoke volumes. Yukimura's breath hitched, his eyes widening in surprise, but he didn't pull away.

"Yukimura," you whispered, your voice barely audible over the crackling of the fire. "I've realized something... These feelings I have for you... They go beyond friendship."

His gaze softened, and he squeezed your hand gently, the warmth of his touch sending a rush of affection coursing through your veins. "I've been feeling the same way," he confessed, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

In that moment, the world around you seemed to fade into the background. The camp, the battles, the war—all of it paled in comparison to the connection that had blossomed between you. There was a delicate vulnerability in the air, as you both just smiled at each other, processing and reveling in the fact that these feelings have finally been said aloud.

Without further hesitation, you leaned in, closing the gap between the two of you. While he felt surprised at the sudden action, it took him no time to return your kiss with the same passion and love that you gave him.

As the campfire continued to burn, casting two shadows. Those silhouettes of the two of you intertwined more and more throughout the night. By the time the campfire had gone out, you both had fallen asleep in his tent.

General Relationship Headcanons

Kellam

Always unintentionally sneaks up on you. He doesn't mean to startle you. He even announces his presence some times but you still don't always notice. Eventually you get used to it though, which causes him some comfort.

Even if you don't notice his presence, if you remember the things he said that he likes then it makes him super happy. Kellam does do his best to remember your likes too so he can surprise you (unintentionally and intentionally) with them.

Enjoys spending quiet moments together away from everyone. Just leaning against each other or talking softly makes his heart happy.

Yen'fay

If you need something of him then you just need to ask and he'll do his best to provide. He's in love with you and so he wants to be able to make you happy with acts of service.

There are times when he shuts down a bit, keeping you from getting close. Yes, he loves you, but he still ends up thinking back to moments of his life that cause him grief and when that happens, he doesn't want you to see his vulnerability.

Has definitely tried meditating before and it gets interrupted by thoughts of you. He wants to be prepared for battle with imagining the battle field and how he'd win. Instead, his thoughts drift to a kiss you gave him, or your smile when he made you laugh.

Yukimura

He's a bit awkward at times with his feelings. He deeply cares for you, but sometimes he finds it hard to express it. And he doesn't want to just randomly kiss you all the time, that'd get in the way of things. So please forgive him if he looks hesitant with what to say/do for you.

You do get quite a few gifts from him. He does buy the typical flowers, but he is also working on creating you some presents that he hopes you'd enjoy too. Those take a bit of time, but he promises you'll like it.

Enjoys having intelligent conversations with you. Talking about battle strategy or history with you is rather fun for him. If you aren't the most intelligent of people, then no worries either. He'll do his best to explain things to you, feeling some satisfaction that he can teach you new stuff.

Gunter

Despite being an older man, he does his best to still make sure you're happy. If you'd like to go on walks then he will, if you want to relax in the sun then he does his best. There are times when others outside the relationship might view him as a father figure to you, but you both know the truth.

Enjoys to talk with you, hearing about your day or just anything interesting that has happened. It might not seem like a whole lot, but having that quality time means a lot to him.

Not really one to say his affections too often. Instead he does things for you or gives you little gifts that he thinks you'd enjoy. You know he cares deeply for you, but he'd just prefer to show you that love by other means than just saying it.
