Originally I was going to draw my entire TT team, but Nowi and Elise were too busy grinding SP. They’ll be getting short-changed for now until they complain.
Anyways, I think the TT are where I find the strangest pairing set-ups to destroy maps. Siegbert’s attack tactic works wonders on both Julia and Nowi, and Julia’s breath of life 6 stack keeps Siegbert alive for all five maps while Elise is busy.
I think these two might get along considering Siegbert reminds me of a sheltered version of Seliph. Having him interact with Julia, who unlike him went through absolute terror in her game, dear lord, would act as a good foil for the both of them.
...Although someone did point out this Siegbert possibly comes from the HoF story from Fates, in which case they can bond over their mutual trials. Now if you excuse me, I’m going to cackle creepily in the background as they destroy the trials.

on the topic of map themes. Which of the FE map themes, FGO map theme and Pokemon Gym theme do you like the most? For me its Between Haeven and Earth / Scions dancing in purgatory (FE), Mesopatamia Second (FGO) and Hoeen Gym Leader (Pokemon).
I love talking about like game designs and whatnot abdjnsns
As for the themes:
FE map theme:
Girl of the Spirit Forest (Genealogy Chapter 1). It's such an upbeat theme for like the intro to a game (even tho prologue is first lmao) but it also introduces a bunch of characters I enjoy: Dierdre, Dew, Aideen (however you spell her name cause that was a war andjssn), Ayra, Jamke, and Eldigan. Also, the part at 50 seconds with the little melody is something I will never forget
FGO theme:
Yuga Kshetra theme 3
I love how somber and serious it is without being menacing. Also, love the CE at the end (but that has nothing to do with it lol)
I'm assuming you mean map themes, and you mean the Babylonia map when Tiamat fucks everything up. (Which is a great theme and I still love how Gilgamesh shoves the player to the side and gets hit in the chest by Tiamat while still being tsundere and claiming Tiamat was aiming at him)
Pokemon Gym Theme:
The Kanto gym themes from Gen2. I just love how absolutely chaotic it is while still being upbeat lol. It also probably doesn't help that I was like really bad at Pokemon back then, so my team's were garbage and so I actually had trouble with them. Don't know if I prefer the original or remake theme
Also, hoenn is a good one and I love how loud it gets

Okay! I said I was going to write up all of my findings on the sources of the Fodlan names, and I’m gonna do it! Apologies to anyone who may have already done this.
I’m going to sort this by country/continent. If anyone knows a more plausible etymology for one of these names please let me know, most of these were found through basic Google searches so I’m likely missing a lot, especially since a LOT of these names vary a bit from their sources and I only caught some of the changed ones because I was already familiar with the original. I’ll also be updating this as time goes on since I also want to cover the noble surnames that aren’t on the map.
EDITS:
Thank you @Bae-leth for pointing out that I’d gotten Faerghus and Leicester switched :’D this is what I get for whipping a long post up in a frenzy at 1am.
Added etymologies for the three nations
Added some possibilities suggested by @sunshinequeen-theresa
This is a very long post:
Adrestian Empire: From Adrestia, daughter of Aphrodite and Ares, “she who cannot be escaped” and followed Ares into battle
Brionac: After wading through pages of results about Yu-Gi-Oh, Final Fantasy, and Xenoblade, I found a Xenoblade article suggesting that Brionac is a name attached to the spear of Lugh from Irish mythology that hasn’t really appeared anywhere outside of Japanese media
Arundel: The only hits for Arundel I got pertained to a few towns, but I hypothesize that it’s connected to Arondight, Lancelot’s sword
Remire: I found that Remire is the name of an island in Seychelles, which could be the etymology, but let me know if there’s something else out there
Oghma: Champion of the Tuatha De Dannan from Irish mythology
Varley: WIkipedia says that Varley is a surname- either English of Norman origin, or Irish or Gaelic origin (paraphrased from Wikipedia)
Airmid: A goddess from Irish mythology
Field of Gronder: When I put “gronder” into Google I was told that it means “to scold” in French; there may be another etymology but with so many names to get through I couldn’t hunt it down
Hyrm: Hyrm is the name of a Marvel comics Asgardian, but Hrym is a Jotun who captains Naglfar in Norse mythology, so it might be a misspelling
Bergliez: Berglez seems to be a German surname
Aegir: A Jotun of Norse mythology associated with the sea
Merceus: Seems to be a surname; couldn’t find much information on it
Hresvelg: Hraesvelgr was a giant that turned into an eagle in Norse mythology
Enbarr: A horse from Irish mythology that could run across water
Morgaine: An alternate name for Mogan le Fay
Rusalka: A Slavic feminine water spirit
Boramas: Borama is a major city in Somalialand, which could be the etymology, but let me know if there’s something else out there
Hevring: One of the daughters of Aegir and Ran from Norse mythology
Oche: Oiche is Irish for “night,” which seems to me more likely an etymology than “the line behind which darts players stand,” which is apparently what “oche” means
Nuvelle: All I could find was a laminate flooring company, so does anyone out there know what else it could mean?
Faerghus: Fearghus/Fergus is a common Scottish name, but I found a Saint Fergus, which might tie into Faerghus’s status as the Holy Kingdom
Teutates: According to a Roman poet, Teutates was a Celtic god of war
Rome: …Rome
Arianrhod: A Welsh goddess from the Mabinogion
Gaspard: A French given or surname, couldn’t find much more than that sadly
Magdred: I couldn’t find anything for Magdred, though a madrigal is a kind of Renaissance song?
Charon: Ferried the Greek dead across the River Styx in the underworld
Galatea: A statue brought to life by Aphrodite after its sculptor fell in love with it
Gideon: One of the Judges of ancient Israel
Rhodos: According to Wikipedia, Rhodos was the personification of the island of Rhodes, wife of Helios, possibly a daughter of Aphrodite
Sacred Gwenhwyvar: A Welsh spelling of Guinevere
Mateus: All I could find for Mateus was a kind of Portuguese wine, anyone else know an alternate source? EDIT: It has been suggested to be a variant of Mathaus, a German surname
Kleiman: Seems to be a German surname that just sort of means “short person"
Tailtean Plains: Named for Tailtiu, thought to be the name of a Irish goddess
Blaiddyd: A legendary Britonic king who encouraged the practice of necromancy, and whose son Leir was the inspiration for the play King Lear
Conand: Probably from an alternate spelling of Connacht, an ancient Irish kingdom
Fraldarius: Every hit on Google related to FE16 in some way, if anyone knows the source, please let me know!
Fhirdiad: A Connacht warrior and friend of fellow Irish legend Cuchulainn
Itha: All I can wildly guess is that it’s short for Ithaca from the Odyssey?
Gautier: Apparently a French variation of the name Walter
Leicester: According to Wikipedia, Leicester is one of the oldest towns in England
Kupala: An Eastern European summer solstice celebration
Edmund: Edmund, son of Duke Gloucester from Shakespeare’s King Lear
Derdriu: Another spelling of Dierdre, likely named for “Deirdre of the Sorrows” from Irish mythology (thank you FE Wiki)
Regan: Regan, daughter of King Lear
Gloucester: The Duke of Gloucester from Shakespeare’s King Lear
Goneril: Goneril, daughter of King Lear
Ordelia: Likely named for Cordelia, daughter of King Lear
Myrddin: The Welsh spelling of Merlin
Ailell: Wikipedia has it as the name of various Irish kings and abbots
Daphnel: I couldn’t find a source for this one, if anyone knows please let me know! EDIT: It has been suggested to be based on Daphne, a nymph who was turned into a laurel tree in Greek mythology
Continents:
Fodlan: Fodla was a major Irish goddess, and Fodla was occasionally used to reference Ireland itself
Sreng: A champion of the Fir Bolg from Irish mythology
Albinea: Sounds like it comes from Albion, and old name for the island of Britain
Brigid: An Irish goddess
Morfis: Morfis and Morfi are apparently surnames (Morfis might be Cypric, not sure baout Morfi), and I couldn’t find any details about them and I suspect this one is actually another reference to Irish, Welsh, or Britonic legends
Almyra: The closest possible etymologies I could find were Almira (a German opera) and Almyros (an ancient Thessalonian city)
Surnames not on the map:
Bestla: Mother of Odin from Norse mythology
Molinaro: An Italian surname meaning “miller"

Genealogy of the Holy War request coming through from the drak corner. Rather then killing, Arvis marries Sigurd, Quan, Eldigan and Dierdre. a Red Haired Seliph, Red Haired Ares, Red Haired Lief, Saias and Julia being doted by Elder brother Julius for his Love. Arvis as a Harem Protag confirm, he's trying to get into Lewyn pants as well, to make a Red haired Ced.
(Jugdral is so serious compared to other FE games that it’s so hard to think of crack for it lol, also, Kate plus 8 who?)
Through his time in Askr, Arvis learns of his ultimate demise and the shortcomings of the Grannvale Empire
Seeing the summoner’s harem, Arvis decides that his best term of action will be to create his own harem
The instant he’s back in Jugdral, Arvis begins acting on his plan
When he travels back, he’s back at an earlier time before Sigurd goes to rescue Edain
Arvis gives not only a silver sword, but also a very private letter to Sigurd
Charming Grannvale’s inner circle, Arvis makes sure to spend enough time to woo everyone.
Alva hits off normally and Saias is born first, Arvis kidnaps Deirdre before she meets Sigurd and Julius is born second
Soon, with some aid to Sigurd’s cause, and some magic, Seliph is born third
Eldigan doesn’t get beheaded, Arvis pinning everything on Chagall and Reptor Ares being born fourth
Arvis eventually beds Quan, Lief the youngest of the six
Arvis becomes Emperor of the Grannvale Empire and manages to not screw everything again this time (rip Kurth tho)
Having six children growing up in the castle is a very tiring affair for the staff
Especially when five of those children have divine blood to wield holy weapons
It’s not until Lewyn visits Belhalla for a peace negotiation that they get a seventh sibling in Ced
Saias is run haggard taking care of his six younger siblings
Arvis definitely has to make sure none of them interrupt his meetings
Arvis quickly disposes of Manfroy before he becomes anyone of note

finally an older fe headcanon blog ;_; could you write some lewyn headcanons with an s/o who was in a position similar to dierdre where they were holed up in a village and really likes to fight?
by the time this gets posted its gonna be quite late (bc im a turtle + my schedule is aimed at providing content as consistently as possible lol) but congrats on getting into feh levin ✨
✧When he first hears that they like fighting, he’s honestly… confused. As someone who doesn’t enjoy those things at all, he has a lot of trouble getting behind such a mindset
✧Should they however like fighting as it allows them to make a difference in the world… that is something he understands. While Levin would prefer a peaceful world without war, he isn’t naive enough to not realize what kind of world they currently live in
✧While his travels started out for a completely reason, he would love to show his s/o as much of the world as he could! He knows how wonderful it is to see things you’ve never seen before and meet people from all kinds of origin and character and would want his s/o to be able to experience those things too
✧They get little souvenirs from every place they visit. They’re hardly anything fancy, just a little something to remind them of all the places they visited together and the memories they made there
✧ Levin absolutely loves playing the flute for his s/o! If they knew how to play an instrument themselves or liked to sing, he would greatly enjoy having duets with them whenever possible

Holy moly, long time no art guys!
Even though I’m not done with my Touken Ranbu FE project yet, I’m back with my first drawing for Sauce Goblin’s 30 Day Fire Emblem OC Challenge!
Masterlist: Day 1
Day 1 (Lord): Ennis
- Starting Class: Mage, gets promoted to a Mage Lord (a class exclusive for him in the story) after. Uses anima tomes as a mage, and uses anima tomes and swords as a mage lord, pretty much like Celica in SoV/Gaiden (minus her healing skills). (Would probably be a green tome infantry unit in FEH, with a sword infantry alt) Would probably end up wielding a legendary tome, maybe similar to Julia/Dierdre’s Naga.
- Is a sturdy mage with a higher than a mage’s average defense, slightly lower than average resistance, average speed, and slightly high attack.
- Is the middle child out of three kids, born to a king and queen of a small kingdom surrounded by forests and mountains, well known to other kingdoms as The Impenetrable Fortress, hence gets most of his family members to stay safe and alive (!!!) throughout the majority of the story until at some point where the antagonists finally manage to invade.
- Suffers the middle child syndrome. Has an older brother who pretty much excels in every type of combat and is first in line to the throne, and a beautiful younger sister who’s already engaged to another heir of an allied kingdom, making her a future queen. Without a throne nor any love interests to look forward to, Ennis left his home kingdom at a young age to study all sorts of stuff at the kingdom of his sister’s fiance. Ends up growing into a nerd magic adept and promising tactician, known to be physically lacking but quick-witted, always able to come up with neat plans of attack whether on a board game of chess or in mock battles. Has no experience in real battlefields up until the beginning of the story though.
- Is a soft boi. Caring, responsible, but introverted, albeit gradually becoming the leader of his own group as the story progresses. Could toughen up and hold up conversations with people he needs to check up on daily as their resident prince and tactician, but quickly retreats into his own personal space to rest and enjoy a good book after all duties had been done. Is a strategic genius, but a complete idiot in romance. Will take very long to figure out if someone is crushing on him, if there were any to begin with. Will be tactless to the point of inviting his love interest to a game of chess or study groups instead of a proper date.
- Can be at moderate risk of being persuaded into the dark side, due to his middle child insecurities. Could be possessed or have an evil twin created based on himself at some point of the story, but will ultimately overcome it with the power of friendship and plot armor!
Now let’s hope I can finish this lol I’ve always wanted to make a soft lord oc. (I was thinking about Eliwood and Lyon while creating Ennis lol)
