My new cam how was this

I was fortunate enough to work with Waiting for Smith on the music video for Life She Don’t Lie in 2021. I served as rough cut / offline editor, and then took my first pro colour grading credit for finishing off the piece in the colour suite.

 This was a tough film to grade as the video blends significant amounts of stock footage from all over the world (as well as NASA’s own space footage library) with footage of Waiting for Smith in situ, so the grade work was quite a monumental task as we aimed to get a consistent colour palette throughout, tricking the viewer into never quite knowing what is stock footage and what isn’t. I’m very happy with how it’s turned out.

Yep, I really did that to myself. FCP Summit was a blast! I wish they'd kept an online iteration, 'cause the closest one near me was LA.

Here’s a film I made with director Alison Grist for Holtermann Fine Art Gallery. In this film we take a look at the work of artist Olivia Bax, as she presents Home Range, a show of new sculptures created from steel armatures, discarded materials and hand generated paper pulp. I was DOP and editor on this one, and it was a pleasure to make!
