The worst thing about having 13 alts in Final Fantasy XIV isn't the amount of repeated effort that goes into all of them, progressing them through the same content and the same grinds.

The worst thing is the nagging feeling that there should be 14 of them. Because that's what number the game is.

#ffxiv #eight on Sargatanas server so my main character could have seven extra FC rooms to decorate plus his own #but then I gave them all interwoven backstories and became too attached to just leave them sitting there after they'd unlocked housing #three on Balmung who are leftovers from RP groups that have since fallen apart #but I liked their concepts enough that I kept playing them without the groups #one on Phantom so I can play with my EU friends #and one on Halicarnassus for a “Book Club” style MSQ replay that has since lost momentum but again I've become too fond of the concept #Four Hyur #Two Roegadyn #Two Lalafell (but one of them was raised by Goblins)#Two Hrothgar (ok one of them is a third Roegadyn right now but she's just a placeholder until Female Hrothgar exist)#One Au Ra #One Viera #One Miqo'te #And I don't have any Elezen yet.#Will character 14 be an Elezen? As soon as I come up with an idea for one that I like...
