Supberb Flavor overload Korshery red sauce like no other eaten. Rich red broth loaded with Sauteed Onions think French Onion Soup but way better OMG. WOWED Koshari (also spelled Koshary or Kushari) is the national dish of Egypt. It’s served in virtually every Egyptian restaurant, in every Egyptian home, and on every Egyptian street corner. Street vendors serve the dish from carts to people eagerly waiting in line to eat this beloved and highly popular dish. An unusual combination, Koshari mixes lentils, macaroni noodles and rice into a single dish and it’s then topped with a spicy tomato sauce that uses a special Middle Eastern spice blend, garbanzo beans, and fried onions. Open a dozen year's found on a rare visit to the East Side of Detroit. Easy to find border of Grosse Point n Detroit corner Moross n Mack. Also very unique Egyptian Falafel so moist and tender unlike the Lebanese version and a white Tahini Sauce for dipping. Two dishes I highly recommend plenty for a couple a order of Korshery and Falafel. She had a great combo of Chicken Tawook, Kafta n Shish Kebab along with Fatoush Salad n Lentils Soup. Shout out to Matthew our super waiter, he made us Hot Puffy Bread once we entered. A bowl of Toum n Egyptian Salsa placed on table before you order. A truly great restaurant with Egyptian owner and booze. #cleopatramediterraneangrill @cleopatramediterraneangrill #egyptianfood #koshari #egyptianfalafel #lentilssoup #fatoush #toum #motorcitymunchers (at Cleopatra Mediterranean Grill) https://www.instagram.com/p/Chx76mkAdkc/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The BDS movement is dominated by privileged white people who falsely claim to be doing what Palestinians want them to do, and when self-described Palestinians tell them they are wrong, they ignore them.
Mathlouthi did end up performing in Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Ramallah - and those concerts, for some reason, were considered "normalization" with Israel:
A Tunisian singer who rose to prominence during the Arab spring uprisings announced Wednesday an upcoming show in Tunisia had been cancelled for supposed “normalisation” with Israel. Mathlouthi, 41, had been set to perform at the Hammamet International Festival in Tunisia next week. “I am very sorry to announce our much awaited concert in Hammamet has been cancelled with no official reason,” Mathlouthi said in a statement posted on Instagram. “We believe that our latest tour in beautiful Palestine has sparked an unjustified controversy accusing me of normalisation.”
The best possible anti-Israel spokesperson - attractive, talented, and immensely popular - is being canceled for being insufficiently anti-Israel.
When a movement is built on hate, it eventually falls apart because the members start hating each other for not hating enough.

WIP Wednesday*
(*technically Thursday because of the timezone)
Thanks again to the homie @unholy-fabray for tagging me
Honestly I haven't got a lot in terms of WIPs that I haven't already shown, but I do have a little bit of a Heartbreak High fic I've been working on. This is just between you and me.
Tagging: @yourstreetserenade @haru-snixx @cheery-space-lizz @genghisthebrain and anyone else who wants to share a WIP
General premise: Missy Beckett and Quinni Gallagher-Jones meet at year 7 camp and discover themselves over the course of their high school lives.
(basically the general premise is that as an Australian who rarely sees any media from where I'm from get popular outside of Bluey, I got tired of seeing so many Americanisms in Heartbreak High fics so decided to write my own)
For this chapter, I decided to delve more into Heartbreak High lore and reference some of the characters I really liked from the original series.
When eleven-year-old Missy Beckett is assigned to room with the strange, mysterious Quinni Gallagher-Jones at year seven camp, she's determined to get to know her. Life gets in the way.
The first time Missy Beckett goes to a school dance, she’s in year eight.  It’s a casual thing in the gym for students in years ten and under that the SRC put on to raise money for the year twelve formal, and somehow they managed to convince Woodsy that it was a good idea.  All everyone can talk about is how put out Southgate, the head of science, who’s known for being pretty conservative, seems to be by the fact that there’s going to be a school dance, or really just anything fun for the students.
Legend has it he got locked in a store room with Ms Fatoush, the school counsellor, once at a dance.  Missy found that out from Amerie, who found it out from Harper, who found out from Spencer, who claimed to have overheard Darren Rivers, or ‘that gay kid’ as he so eloquently said, talking about it in the canteen line.

I spend most of my time in a study-like center offered by a muslim youth organization for girls called "Multaqa Al Nour", it has been 2 and a half year since I go there to study and finish my projects, so the employees and I are pretty close.
I went to the bathroom to fix my hijab, when I went back I found a dish of Fatoush (lebanese Salad) with half an escalope portion shared by a sweet calm employee XD
I absolutely thanked her, as I saw her order's scent filling the place..... just yummmm!!!!! and this wasn't the only time I've been humbled by the employees who i dare to say friends
I love Multaqa al Nour, I've been blessed with this safe community <3

Horrible question ask! 27 and 51?
27: Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
Yes. A guy I was not super close friends with in high school was in love with me. He could not take no for an answer and followed me around, incessantly texted me... it was a whole situation. I also had a different guy friend who I made out with twice before I realized I was a lesbian and he pined over me for like two years. I also might be breaking someone's heart now but no details on that.
51: Favourite food?
I have so many but there's this roasted pineapple dish where you put fresh lime juice, coarse sugar, salt, and chili powder on pieces of pineapple and broil it and it's so good I could eat it every day. Also tabouli and fatoush are both all time favorite foods for me.

6/12-6/16
On Monday I went back to Spandauer Vorstdast so that they could fix my phone at Apple, it took a couple hours and I got my nails done in the meantime at Ohlala Beauty and I got the Essie color Shearling Darling which I love, the girl did a really good job too. I wanted to get a blueberry muffin but they didn’t have them today so I got a bubble waffle which was actually really good and the fro yo in it was okay. Then after work I hung out with Marvin who I met at Kit Kat on Saturday.
On Tuesday I had lunch with Cindy who is a journalist and we went to Fatoush, which was actually quite good. I think I just worked after.
On Wednesday I had to go to Racha’s because I broke my necklace so he fixed it for me. I got a chai from two different places and a scone. Then I went to holzmarket and just sat there for a bit.
On Thursday I went to Friedrichshain. I stopped by Markethalle Neun, which I realized I had been to before. Apparently they have street food thurs starting at like 5pm so I wish I went later. Then I went to Marheinke Market in Friedrichshain which is where I always got my souvlaki pita but this time she wouldn’t give me the chicken one and gave me pork so it wasn’t as good but pretty close and I think the same price!! I walked around and there’s so many cool stores, seriously what the heck did I do when I lived there that I didn’t find any of this stuff?? There’s a ton of thrift shops and paper shops and just really cute. Then I got some ice cream from the corner at the Market while waiting for the bus. At night I went to Dark Matter. It was cool, but not something I would do again. The outside exhibit was nice and I would go again with people but I was really hungry and got kinda bored alone so I left before it ended.
On Friday I had my flight to Vienna at night so I did a bunch of my work earlier. The weather was pretty gloomy but I walked around and went into a few places. I got a chai which SUCKED from Vollkonr-Backerie Hartwich. Maybe I should’ve tried a baked good instead. Then I got a smoothie bowl from Kala which was also not great like it had chunks of frozen coconut milk? I had to pack earlier, but I made myself a sandwich after I got back and then catch my flight which was delayed but I got in and went to bed!

What to expect when visiting Arabic restaurants?
Walking into an Arabic restaurants, you will be enveloped in the rich and exotic aromas of cumin, garlic, and cinnamon. The décor is usually colourful and vibrant, with intricate patterns and mosaics adorning the walls. You will be seated on comfortable cushions or low chairs around a low table.
The menu will feature a variety of dishes, including both vegetarian and meat options. Popular starters include hummus, tabbouleh, and fatoush salad. You might enjoy lamb kofta over rice; chicken shawarma wraps, or fish couscous for the main course. And remember to order a refreshing glass of mint lemonade or Moroccan tea to wash it all down!
The Different Types of Arabic Food
There are many different types of Arabic food, and it can be challenging to know what to expect when visiting an Arabic restaurant. Here is a brief guide to the different kinds of Arabic cuisine:
- Lebanese cuisine is the best-known type of Arabic food, characterized by its use of fresh ingredients and healthy cooking methods.
- Egyptian cuisine is also trendy and features a variety of stews, grilled meats, and bread.
- Syrian cuisine is similar to Lebanese cuisine in many ways, but also includes a variety of kebabs and other grilled dishes.
- Moroccan cuisine is often very spicy and features many couscous dishes and tagines (stewed meats and vegetables).
- Gulf Arab cuisine is often very hearty, with many rice dishes and lamb or chicken cooked in various spices.
What to order in an Arabic restaurant?
If you need help deciding what to order in an Arabic restaurant, there are a few safe bets that will always be delicious. One popular dish is hummus, a creamy and flavorful paste made from chickpeas, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice. Another great option is baba ghanoush, a similar dish made from eggplant instead of chickpeas. Both of these can be found on almost any Arabic restaurant menu.
If you're looking for something heartier, try shawarma or kebabs. Shawarma is thinly sliced meat - usually lamb or chicken - marinated and cooked on a rotisserie. It's often served in a pita with vegetables and yogurt sauce. Kebabs are also a great choice - they're essentially skewered and grilled meat (usually lamb or chicken) that can be served with rice or vegetables.
No matter what you order, remember to add some freshly baked pita bread to your meal!
What is a Shisha Lounge?
A shisha lounge is a great place to relax and unwind after a long day. Whether you're looking to enjoy a drink with friends or take in the atmosphere, a shisha lounge is a perfect spot.
Here are a few things to remember when visiting a shisha lounge: - Dress code: Most shisha lounges have a dress code, so check before heading out.

Buy Lebanese Spices At Best Price | Zeed Pantry
Rob Shalhoub and Sami Fuleihan met in 2019 while volunteering at a Los Angeles charity event. The guys quickly became close friends because they shared a love of Lebanese food and wine.
Sami invited Rob to taste his family’s traditional za’atar mix after receiving a package from Lebanon a few weeks later. Rob’s first inquiry was, “How much would it cost to bring more of this za’atar to Los Angeles?” due to the obvious quality and freshness. Naturally, one inquiry led to another, and the concept of ZEED soon emerged.
Sami and Rob are proud to continue their families’ agricultural and artisanal craft traditions, and ZEED is a modern interpretation of ancient Lebanese customs. Sami’s family has been producing cold-pressed olive oil and organic farming for generations in Baasir. Rob’s ancestors made traditional olive oil soap in Douma. As a result, we have decided to use an emblem that represents our roots and leaves, our past and future, as ZEED’s symbol.
The first thing that comes to mind when someone tries a Lebanese dish for the first time is, “This food tastes amazing!” Moreover, this observation is accurate! In addition to the traditional spices like salt, pepper, oregano, garlic, and so on, Lebanese cuisine also uses some unique Buy Lebanese Spices that give each dish its flavor:
A mixture of marjoram, thyme, oregano, and lightly toasted sesame seeds is called za’atar. It can be used on pita bread, in an olive salad with walnuts, in a sambousek with cheese, and because we love it so much, we made a special salad called Four Seasons with Za’atar. However, chicken with Za’atar is still the star of the menu, and it will please everyone’s taste buds.
Cardamom has a distinct flavor that is spicy-sweet with a hint of flavor. It is typically used to spice sweets, coffee, tea, and other beverages due to its aphrodisiac properties. We came up with a chicken dish by using our imaginations: chicken with cardamom, which has a distinct flavor and taste.
Sumac is a sour condiment that can be sprinkled all over salads, fatoush, tabbule, and even meat to soften its strong flavor.
Dried green mint is widely used in our kitchen, in Lebanoni lemonade, and as a flavouring for salads. Mint is well-known for its health benefits..
Black pepper, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and fenugreek are the seven spices that make up the Lebanese seven spices. They give the food a kick of flavor. They are utilized to flavor various meats and in certain dressings.
