Farah the Fern where Ben moves her into a bigger pot for her to grow as her power returns but when the roots appear he starts apologising profusely for "seeing her in this state of undress" and saul is sat in the corner sighing dramatically at him.
Awh Ben 😂 if her plant form grows bigger the more power she gains, does that mean eventually they'll have to plant her outside? Farah the walnut tree dropping walnuts on Saul's head because she's pissed to be left outside and he's like "Ow woman, knock it off! What am I meant to do, plant you in the living room?!" Truthfully I'm torn between her being a willow tree (the tree Faragonda was trapped in) because they're just so beautiful and calm, like Farah, and a beech tree, which is Eve Best's favorite(? she said she'd want it on her family crest in this interview) because it's the "mother of the wood."
But now I'm picturing the kids coming to sit underneath her branches and chat, because as a fern she wasn't as accessible to the student body (because the Winx are possessive and Saul is protective) so it's not unusual to see students lounging in the shade of her branches talking to her. Students she's had for years, the third and fourth and even second years before the events of Bloom's first year, who have benefited so much from her teachings and support. I know the prequel says she struggles to connect with her students and I believe that's true, but even so I can't imagine being in the presence of Farah Dowling and not immediately being charmed. So for those students who are more familiar with her, they take advantage of the opportunity to talk to her because they know she's listening but there isn't the pressure of her response, because she's not the untouchable headmistress for whom you need to make an appointment to see outside of class, she's just Farah (the fern tree). So Farah has to sit there and listen as her students gush about her and praise her and thank her for being such a wonderful headmistress, and how much they missed her when Rosalind was in charge, and since she can move her leaves or branches or whatever, she bends her branches to pat their heads or "hug" them and UGH I'm making myself emotional. Farah Dowling Appreciation Week Eternity ❤️

A few kids from my family have been watching Tinker Bell for the first time and 1. it just hit me how much I loved it (I really consider doing a marathon with all the movies this weekend) and 2. I realised why I ship Silrah so hard.
Milarion was my FAV Disney couple and I kinda forgot about them and when they were watching THAT (Secret of the Wings) movie all I could think about how much they remind me of Silrah. (or Silrah of them I’m not really sure)
The chemistry on screen between Clarion and Milori since their first scene together already tells us there is/was something in the past. And with Silrah even if it’s not canon (yet) that chemistry is there and I think most of the people who ship them noticed that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, the SIMILARITIES.
Strong and powerful figureheads (all of them).
Sometimes teenagers around them that don’t know them that well think they cold and scary (Milori, Saul).
They are seen as firm but caring & nice (Clarion, Farah).
They have share past and long history (Milarion, Silrah).
Very few people knew there was something between them and the rest was surprised when they find out (Milarion, hoping we get something like that in F:TWS though).
+ THE HAIR 😍
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My reaction after reading what I just wrote and realising that they are actually VERY similar. Also thinking about what if Farah and Saul were together but had to end their relationship even if they didn’t wanted to because of Rosalind or becoming heads of Alfea or any different reason.
Tumblr media
And of course naive/optimistic side of me hoping that when they wake Farah up from her nap they will get back together again (just like Milarion). But knowing it is hardly possible and my heart is about to be broken when season 2 comes out.

Do you think Farah is alive?
To be honest, I don't know what to think anymore...
I certainly hope she is alive!!
I've listed some points in favor or against her being alive in my mind. Have fun with my messy thoughts🤣🤣🤣
Pro
the way Rosalind killed her was incredibly suspicious by itself. Farah basically waited for her, alone at the graveyard. She is not really startled when Rosalind appears. After they talk Rosalind basically threatens her to take a sabbatical and Farah tells her she won't give up Alfea. She tells Rosalind that she has to remove her by force basically. Then she gets up and turns her back towards Rosalind, and I know it's speculation but her face in that moment looks like she knows exactly what's going to happen. The glowing eyes are a topic of discussion but even if they are Rosalinds magic it just feels off that a fairy as powerful and smart as Farah, who knows Rosalind would not make a single move to fight back. Something has to be off here.
glowing eyes could be an indication of Farah using magic (maybe make a light illusion, or another trick)
the flowers that spread from her grave could contain her life energy. flora gets introduced in this season and may play a part in reviving Farah
Eve Best could have filmed a few scenes for Fate season 2 before starting House of the Dragon. She joined the HotD set late/ appeared later than many other actors.
Farah is a fan favorite and the Production team/writers might have seen the overwhelming fan response.
This picture leaked with the trailer. It's likely to be just be Flora and Terra using some magic tracing substance and finding Farahs body without being able to help her in any way, especially looking at their passive body language and faves. But who knows.
Tumblr media
Farah is inspired by Faragonda from the original cartoon and there is a storyline in which Faragonda gets trapped inside a tree. and later freed by the winx girls. That storyline could certainly have inspired Farahs storyline.
Contra
The show is definitely focused on the teenage characters and Farah has basically served her purpose plotwise. With the hug scene at the end of season 1 her conflict with Bloom seems resolved. Killing her serves the plot of the winx girls, and definitely puts some guilt in Bloom.
It's easier to remove Farah from the picture and leave all her story unresolved. It would take away from the screen time of the Winx girls and Fate has limited episodes.
Eve Best has been filming House of the Dragon during the Fate S2 shoot and might not ever return to Fate even if they wanted her back for Season 3.
The glowing eyes were probably an indication that Rosalind used her magic on her as seen in the scene with Dane and Riven.
I know this is reaching and we basically have no clue what this frame shows but this scene somehow really gives me Farahs ghost/ remaining energy visited the winx to gift them some last words and then dissolves.
Tumblr media
In the end there is no way of saying and because I've been spending nearly all my time with other delusional Farah stans (aka favorite people in the world) my perception of reality might be flawed.
Personally I have to believe she comes back or is still alive because I love her and I need her back thank you very much.

Episode 5′s Light Battalion Scene - Part 1
If someone asked me what my favorite scene in Fate was, there’s always one that comes to mind. I will never ever stop talking about this scene.
Specifically, Episode 5 (9:00-10:10). Or as I like to call it, “The Light Battalion Scene”
We don’t get enough backstory on the adults in this show and it’s a crime, but this one scene has personally fueled more headcanons, story ideas, and theories than any other scene. This is going to be a little long just because I couldn’t sleep without writing this all down.
To start off, their name isn’t canonically The Light Battalion, that’s a choice I made in a fic that just ended up sticking. But the friendship of Farah, Saul, Andreas, and Ben is its own interesting world, and one that this scene manages to portray incredibly well.
I don’t have any screencaps of the beginning (rip) but the scene starts with Andreas and Saul. Obviously these two are already known to have some history, because Saul is implied to have raised Sky after Andreas exited the picture (”aggro father figure”), and he mentions Sky’s dad more times than I can count. But this is the first time we see continuous lines of dialogue between them, and it already tells us so much.
Andreas teases Saul about being on the ground, and in my opinion that’s just best friends being best friends. It’s lighthearted, it’s funny. But then he hits him with the “let me know when you want to start pulling your weight, Saul.” And the air seems to shift a little at that. Andreas implies that he’s the one doing all the work, pulling all the weight in their fighting (it’s implied that they just took down a Burned One as a duo), and sort of passively aggressively jabs at him. Our beloved Saul obviously jabs back, and he brings up Andreas’s son. Ouch. Andreas’s entire mood shifts, and he looks Saul up and down before leaving. In those 30 seconds, we see more of both their characters than we have so far in the entire show.
They obviously were/are friends (very close friends, if Saul took over raising Sky), but their relationship is currently strained. Andreas sees himself as doing all the work, and Saul might be a little peeved that he’s not paying enough attention to his family. But they don’t talk about it, not really, walking away before they can actually get a conversation going. Saul has absolutely no other lines in this scene, and that’s mind blowing to me. But anyway, moving on.
Andreas and Saul rejoin Farah and Ben, and it’s implied that they just managed to take down a Burned One as a duo themselves. Andreas speaks first, and his line “is he dissecting again?” immediately reinforces the fact that there’s history there. Andreas knows Ben likes to dissect these things, and apparently Farah knows that he knows, since (being surprisingly sarcastic) she responds with “what do you think?”
This next part is literally my favorite part of any episode ever. And I hate that I don’t have a screencap of all of it.
Andreas spits on the Burned One’s corpse that Ben is kneeling next to (which... ew). Ben looks up at him, exasperated, going “Or we could contaminate it. Lovely!” And instead of immediately turning back to continue his work, he looks at Farah.
The camera then pans to Farah, who’s got the hottest look ever on her face.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She raises her eyebrow at Andreas. As a response, Andreas raises his eyebrows and shrugs at her innocently. The camera pans to Saul, whose eyes flicker from Andreas to Farah (and they look her up and down, cheeky man). Then Rosalind interrupts.
That’s the moment I love most about this entire scene. Those maybe 15 seconds of interaction between four characters we know little to nothing about. So let me break it down really quick.
First of all, Ben looks at Farah. He stands his ground (kinda), sarcastically says “lovely!” but his gaze still moves to Farah for a brief moment. I think he’s looking at her for support, for a friendly face, and maybe subtly for a “can you believe this guy?” type of moment. But Farah’s reaction is to make direct eye contact with Andreas and raise her eyebrows. That’s a challenging look if I’ve ever seen one! She’s looking at him like she wants to smack him, like she’s done with his shit. Her little head tilt (chin jut = pride) at him just reinforces that. Andreas responds. He seems to know what that look means, almost like he knows exactly what she wants to do. So his reaction is to raise his eyebrows and shrug at her-- he didn’t do anything, he’s clearly innocent, he was only having fun.
And that interaction says so much about both their characters. First, I think it shows that Farah might’ve been a little protective of Ben while they were soldiers, or while they were friends with Andreas. Ben is the one that Andreas chose to pick on in this scenario. Granted, he was the one leaning over the corpse and maybe the only one he could’ve picked on, but we just saw him passive aggressively commenting on Saul earlier. But he chose to go and spit over Ben, who looked towards Farah as if asking for help or support. And she’s clearly not afraid to challenge Andreas about it. And he’s clearly not afraid to respond with feigned innocence, although he knows what he did. It makes me wonder if they’ve had this dynamic their entire friendship (or their entire school years). Is it competitiveness?
And then comes Saul. Who, like I said, has no other lines in this scene. I find it odd because this feels like the perfect time for Saul to jump in. Maybe to say something about the Burned Ones, or to Andreas, or to Farah, or just to put his sword away? But he just stands there, looking at Andreas and then at Farah. It’s almost like he expects a fight, expects them to lunge at each other, to say something. It’s like he’s hesitating, or anticipating something. And it makes me wonder if situations like this (an Andreas and Farah stand-off) happened more often than we think.
It’s 15 seconds of body language that could, in the end, just be the actors’ spur-of-the-moment choices. But I want to believe there’s more than that, because we know that these characters have history, and this one tiny scene shows more of it than any other scene in the show. These adults that the fandom so collectively loves have the potential to be so complex and multi-dimensional, and a whole worldbuilding can be done with their backstory. These are real people, soldiers, with real relationships and friendships that I personally want to know more about! These years weren’t implied to be pretty, and if this was a sweeter story I think we could’ve ended up with a light-hearted scene of their training turning out great.
But then Rosalind showed up.
(Part 2 coming soon!)

Why I think Farah Dowling is NOT dead
I posted my thoughts about that damn last Farah scene on Instagram, but decided to post it here to so here we go.
As awful as it looked, I am one of those people who won’t believe immediately at what she saw, especially when it comes to fantasy shows like Fate is.
1.
Let’s just think about what we know so far - Farah Dowling is one of the most powerful fairies we got to see in these 6 episodes. She developed her powers through years and surely didn’t have enough time to show us what else she can do.
She is also very smart and thoughtful, she thinks ahead as much as she can. Will person, who is described as such, really think that, after keeping someone trapped for 16 years, won’t get any revenge back? Even if the tables were reversed, if Rosalind (evil person) kept Farah trapped (good person), Farah definitely wouldn’t let her walk always easily after that, she would get back at her. Now, imagine how angry Rosalind is inside and just waited for the first chance to destroy Farah.
Tumblr media
And to think Farah was so careless to think she can just turn her back and walk away without expecting something like that? Come on!
2.
Now, think about what Rosalind has just told her - Ben and Saul are trapped, Luna, Andreas and Luna’s army are already in Alfea, taking over. Under Rosalind’s command.
That means she is completely alone. With no one by her side. She would need to first make a plan how to free her friends, then another plan how to defeat 3 villains and a whole army plus some side followers (Beatrix, Dan), whilst taking back her school and making sure no student suffers from anything.
Doing everything on her own would be impossible for anyone. So she definitely needs to buy herself some time and make a good and thorough plan.
3.
Let's take a look at how she reacts in this scene.
Tumblr media
She carefully listens to everything Rosalind says, looking her determinedly in the eyes, showing how confident she has become after all these years.
After she gets up from the bench and turns her back on her, she sighs secretly, showing her big level of self-control and tact. In her eyes and stiff body posture we see she is waiting for what’s next. For what she knows is coming - Rosalind’s attack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fighting her back would be pointless. If she won, she still would be alone against all other enemies I named.
4.
One possibility is that they might make a parallel to the original cartoon.
In season 3,  Valtor trapped Faragonda inside a tree. Winx freed her using magical water from Lynphea, Flora’s home. That being said, they might use this as a chance to bring Flora to the show.
Tumblr media
Although this sounds like a solid explanation to me, I’d prefer if Farah redeems herself alone. We want our powerful fave to thrive and rise up.
5.
Now, let’s compare the graves. At the beginning of this damn scene, we see Farah standing over buried bodies of the Burned Ones. We can see they are protruding, as they should.
Tumblr media
And then let’s take a look at Farah’s “grave” as Rosalind tosses her away.
Tumblr media
The grave dissolves. Not completely, but compared to the other 3 graves it is much smaller and not protruding at all. And it isn’t made to be like a fast forwarded scene (like it is the dissolve of a grave in some period of time, it’s in that exact moment).
Tumblr media
To repeat myself, knowing Farah has mastered many powers that aren’t even mind powers, maybe she mastered illusion. Which she, somehow, used here.
If it isn’t illusion, she definitely saved herself somehow because the difference between graves is obvious.
One way, or another, I think writers/producers (etc.) realized how important Farah Dowling actually is how huge her audience actually is and how loved she is. As objective as I can be, I think she is the most loved character of all. I came across a lot of backfire for all other characters, but not about her.
And I think they also know the show will flop if she doesn't come back, not only because of the audience's reaction, but also it would show it is lazy writing. If Andras, a non magical person could've survived a sword through his body, I am sure our powerful and beautiful queen survived a cowardly, behind-the-back attack.
