Look! Another squishy horse! For some reason this bubbly horse ha been in my mind the last few months, so I had to make a potato plush of her! I made 3 of these for EponaFest, and they returned home, so now there's a couple on my Etsy! Check it out on my linktree in the bio ^^

sorry for not just replying on twitter, but if you’re thinking about cd fanplushes you should look into chinese template fanplushes! (i’m used to talking about them in chinese circles so i don’t know if there’s a proper english name, sorry…) the ones with giant foreheads and (usually) sculpted butts! because they all use the same body template, there’s a huge, huge secondary market of clothes of all kinds and tons of cute accessories for them. being able to play dressup is great, and since they use template bodies you only need to design the face and hair, making them much easier to produce.

sculpted butts... tbh im gonna take my time w looking into these bc i know theres a lot of awful factory labor with plushie manufacturors that id like to avoid.

So I got covid last week, and you know what that means. Laying in bed for a week straight drove me to distraction, so I finally pulled my thumb out and got busy with my unofficial series of sock lulas and to be honest I surprised myself with how good it came out.

Initially I was going to do Tech next, but being that I felt like garbage I decided to treat myself and make my fav murder toothpick instead. My only grievance is the eyes, cus I had some really nice burned orange buttons picked out but they were just a little too big for his face. I thought about painting the ones I used but I don’t want brush strokes so yellow it is for now. Now I’m negative I might go out and try and find some nicer ones, but for now he looks handsome enough as is

Definitely glad I made his harness removable, cus he looks adorable both ways, I’ll have to keep it in mind for next time. As I said, Tech is next but I have no idea how to make his goggles. Debating if I should paint them on or not, but that’s for future me to decide! Shouldn’t be too long tho, I’m on a roll!
