💕🍼🌈 for your thrawn fankid :3
tysm dear!! ♥️
💕: which parent does your child tend to cling to? does it make the other parent jealous?
Oh, Lassie is a daddy's girl through and through. I don't mind at all though -- it warms my heart how much she loves her papa and how much he loves her!
🍼: what's your child's comfort item and where did it come from? is it a hand-me-down?
It's a little Ch.iss soft dress-up doll, given to her by her uncle Eli!
🌈: if applicable, who (from your f/o's source) would you make your child's godparents? who (out of your friends) would you make their godparents?
Eli and Ar'a.lani in canon! As for out of my pals, Jerry is pretty much the Designated Fankid Godparent (love you Jerry ❤️)

Lassie asking her papa if she can have a birthday party on the bridge, and since they're in a very easy going system (and he can't say no to her) he says yes. The party is loth cat themed. Everyone on the bridge must wear cat ears, including Thr.awn, who has gone the extra mile and allowed Lassie to paint whiskers on his face. She hugs everyone and is having the time of her fucking LIFE and the bridge crew is like, this is so nice but also so fucking strange, what the hell.

playtime
millie x thr.awn + thalassa
just wanted to write some cute fankid fluff :) there's just a touch of angst at the end but nothing too serious or heavy.
“And I putted it on top,” Thalassa explained, standing beside her block tower. “See? The princess is on top.”
“You put it on top. I do see,” Thr.awn replied. He sat beside the block tower and listened to Thalassa with a serious expression. “Why is she on top of the tower?”
“Because she’s a princess. And a princess has to…” Thalassa scratched her nose as she formulated her next sentence. “A princess has to look at everyone.”
“She must be very responsible.”
“Ress-ponss-ibbul,” the little girl repeated. “What’s that?”
Thr.awn considered how best to explain duty and integrity to a three-year-old. “It means she cares for the people she looks after.”
“Like you?”
He smiled gently. “Like me.”
Thalassa handed him another one of her dolls – a set of dress-up dolls from Csilla, a gift from her uncle Eli – and began to explain the next bit of the game. “Okay, Papa, you’re gonna be a bad guy. And you’re gonna, gonna… gonna knock down the tower!”
Thr.awn examined the doll, a male figure in what Millie assumed to be formal wear of some kind. “Why is he bad?”
“He wantsa knock down the tower,” Thalassa said, furrowing her brows, as if she were the adult explaining the concept to a three-year-old and not the other way around. “His name is Mister, and he’s a bad guy.”
Millie smiled as they watched from the kitchen as their daughter and husband played. Thalassa didn’t give her dolls very normal names – Mister, Woman, and Elbow were their favorite examples. Thr.awn had attempted to suggest traditional Chiss names for the dolls, but Thalassa could hardly say her own full name, so Millie gently shot it down.
He was so sweet and earnest with children, as if still a child himself, in some regard. Yet it had been years since Thrawn had been this close with a girl as young as Thalassa. He was still trying to feel out how he should interact with her. In Millie’s opinion, it was adorable.
“I see.” Thr.awn set Mister’s feet on the ground and made him hop forward. “I am Mister, Destroyer of Towers.”
“Oh! No!” Thalassa shouted. “You can’t do that! That’s not nice!”
In a deep, comically evil-sounding voice, Thr.awn said, “I am not nice.”
Millie had to step away as the timer sounded, signifying their cookies were done. They arranged three plates for lunch time: a nut-paste and jelly sandwich, celery with dressing, and of course, two cookies for dessert. Millie finished the meal with a glass of apple juice for them and Thalassa, and water for Thr.awn. “It’s lunchtime, you two!”
Thalassa squealed in excitement, sprinting into the kitchen. “Don’t run in the kitchen, Lassie,” Millie reminded them. “You can get hurt in here if you run.”
“Sorry, Mama.”
“It’s alright. Just remember it for next time.” They helped her into her booster seat, and set her plate in front of her. “Go ahead and start eating.”
Thalassa had just started to tear apart her sandwich when Thr.awn sat down at the table. The Chiss man wiped a bit of nut-paste off her chin with a napkin, then turned his attention to his own meal. “I hope you don’t mind. I didn’t feel like anything too fancy today.”
“It’s made by you. It’s wonderful,” Thr.awn said.
Millie touched his hand, smiling to themself at his warmth. The scene was pure, domestic bliss: just them, their husband, and their beautiful little girl. The family was staying at an apartment on Coruscant as the Chimaera underwent repairs. Within a week, they’d be back on the Star Destroyer. It made Millie feel a bit guilty, hating that damn ship. Oh, well, they mused. That was part of marrying a military man. And though he wasn’t home during the day while onboard, at night, Thr.awn was just as doting of a father as he was now.
Thalassa yawned, her nose wrinkling. “I think you should lay down for a nap after lunch,” Millie said. They glanced at Thr.awn, and added, “Mama and Papa might need one, too.”
“M’kay. Can we play more dolls after? Please? You too, Mama?”
“Of course, little one.” Thr.awn leaned over and kissed her forehead. “Are you done eating?” When she nodded, he stood up. “Let’s go get dressed in your jammies and lay down. Millie, love, I’ll be back in a moment.”
“If I’m not in here, I’ll be in bed.”
After putting away the trash and dishes, Millie made the bed. They were fluffing the pillows when the door opened, and then two broad arms wrapped around their waist. “Sorry it took a bit. Thalassa insisted on unbuttoning her shirt herself.” They could hear a hint of anxiety in his voice, and they smiled gently as they turned to him.
“You’re feeling inadequate again, aren’t you?”
Thr.awn sighed. “I can never hide anything from you, love.”
“Let me assure you that you’re doing just fine. It makes me so happy, seeing you play with her like that. And it’s good for her. Not only as she grows as a person, but because she gets to spend time with her Papa.” Millie laid a hand over his heart. “She loves you so much, Thr.awn. And when she’s older, she’ll remember these moments of you trying so hard and doing your best, and she’ll love you even more.”
The corners of his lips tugged into a little smile. “Thank you.”
“Now, c’mon. You’re wasting valuable nap time. She’ll be awake and energetic before we’ve even laid down.”
Thr.awn yawned as he gestured to the bed. “After you, euhn in’a.”

A Day at the Fair
thr.awn + thalassa
In which Thr.awn is bested by his toddler.
Just a cute fluffy piece :) featuring appearances from T.arkin, Yu.laren, and Pr.yce
I’m just going to check out those doll booths over there. I saw something a certain someone might like. You’ll be okay for a while, right?
Of course I’ll be okay, Thr.awn had said to his wife, Millie. He could keep an eye on their three-year-old, no problem. She was a toddler, and he was a grown man. Anyone could do it.
How wrong he was.
Thr.awn had set Thalassa down so he could take a break from carrying her around the fair. It was Family Day during Ascension Week, and the little family had decided to visit the Family Fair at one of the Empire’s massive convention complexes. Thalassa had never seen so many people; she eagerly babbled to anyone who got close enough. “Hi!” she squeaked. “It’sa fun day!” He didn’t realize she was gone until he noticed she hadn’t spoken in about a minute.
Thr.awn scratched the back of his head. He was a logical man; he couldn’t panic, even though the father in him was, by all accounts, panicking. She enjoys animals and dolls, he thought. I’ll start by visiting those booths.
He glanced behind him, spotting Millie over the crowd, and he could tell Thalassa wasn’t with them. He sighed, then set off into the sea of people ahead of him.
Thrawn wove through the crowd, trying to keep an eye out for his daughter. However, she was impossibly tiny, and easily blended in between legs and bodies. The Chiss frowned. Surely a Grand Admiral could find a toddler without resorting to yelling?
He saw Thalassa at a booth advertising Corellian dolls, but several officers with teenagers crossed between him and her. When they passed, she was gone again. Thr.awn gritted his teeth. He was surprised to find that he wasn’t upset with her – merely afraid for her safety.
Thalassa’s giggle echoed behind him, but when he whipped around, she was nowhere to be seen.
Thr.awn rubbed his temples. Millie would never forgive him if something happened to her… and he'd never forgive himself.
Up ahead, he noticed a stall advertising a loth-cat petting zoo, and he sighed in relief when he spotted Colonel W.ulff Yularen, Governor Ar.ihnda Pryce, and Grand Moff W.ilhuff Tarkin at the stall. Perhaps they could help him?
The three were looked down in unison, and as Thr.awn stepped out of the crowd and into the stall’s radius, he saw his daughter.
“I’m Miffalasshafish!” she said cheerfully. She held up three chubby fingers. “And I’m this many old!” Thalassa turned around as her father stepped up behind her. “Papa!” Her toothy grin made it impossible to be angry as he scooped her up and set her on his hip. Besides that, a part of Thr.awn begrudgingly admired her ability to evade him.
“'Miffalasshafish,' Grand Admiral?” Governor Pryce inquired, raising a brow. “I was under the impression your daughter had a proper name, not Fish. Certainly your wife wouldn’t have allowed that.”
“Mitth’alass’afis,” he explained. “Core name Thalassa. She still struggles with pronunciation, but I make an effort to practice with her every day.”
“Don’t tell me you’re making the girl do drills.” Yularen turned his attention to Thalassa, who was waving at him. He waved back before speaking to Thr.awn again. “No wonder she wants to run off and do whatever she wants without regard to others. Reminds me of someone else I know…”
Pryce piped in. “Thalassa, is your Papa mean? Does he make you practice a bunch?”
“Nope! My Papa’s the best!” Thalassa tugged on his epaulet as she spoke. “We play dolls. He plays Mister and I play Woman and Elbow. And, and… he makes me sammiches, and gives me juice boxes. And he helps me with my jammies.” She suddenly looked a bit crestfallen. “But I can’t see him when he’s workin’. I miss him.”
“Oh, how dreadful!” Pryce exclaimed in faux sympathy. “Grand Admiral, are you depriving your daughter of her father?”
If Millie were here, they would have politely but firmly ended the conversation then. Thr.awn, however, felt his political obligations weighing on him; he couldn’t be rude, not with Tarkin and Yularen standing there. “The bridge is dangerous. I would prefer my daughter remain safe.”
“Well, you’ll have to get a fun babysitter then, hmm?”
“Her mother takes care of her just fine.” Thrawn felt himself relax some as Thalassa kissed his cheek and laid her little head against his.
“Oh, Thalassa, are you enjoying the petting zoo?” Millie’s voice sounded from behind the group, and Thr.awn was instantly at ease as his wife came to his side.
“She hasn’t gotten to pet the loth-cats yet,” Thr.awn said. He carried his daughter over to the pen and set her down inside, both ensuring she could pet the fluffy beasts and that she couldn’t escape his clutches again. “There.”
Thalassa plopped down beside a massive sleeping cat. Gingerly, she reached out and stroked the loth-cat’s fur, her eyes widening. “He’s soft,” she wondered.
“That’s Mari, and she’s a girl,” the stall’s owner said. “She’s very sweet. Good with kids.”
That was evident, as Mari stood, stretched, then climbed into Thalassa’s lap. The girl squealed in delight and began petting the loth-cat with both hands.
Millie laid a hand on Thr.awn’s back and leaned into him. “You know, a loth-cat is a child’s best friend.”
“The Navy doesn’t allow pets aboard its ships.”
“Thr.awn, since when do you follow rules by-the-book? Besides, you could always say the cat’s pest control…”
The Grand Admiral glanced at his daughter, who hugged the relaxed loth-cat like a plushie. She pressed her chubby little face into its fur and made a soft little squeak of contentment. If Thalassa had a loth-cat, would it keep her out of trouble, or would she take the pet with her into her mischievous exploits?
She kissed the loth-cat on top of its head, then looked up and smiled wide at her father. Thr.awn felt a tug on his heart, and with a sigh, said, “...I’ll consider it.”

I wanna write Uncle Eli spoiling Thalassa absolutely rotten. He's a great tactitian, brilliant with numbers, but with Lassie, he's achieved his ultimate, most powerful form: Doting Uncle.
He makes sure to bring her gifts from her Chiss heritage -- dolls, clothes, books, so Thr.awn can teach her about Chiss culture! And he's started to pick up Cheunh, so I imagine he helps teach her, along with her Papa. :)

The Bridge
A short fic about Thalassa having a little adventure :)
Junior Lieutenant Hunt had expected an easy day. The Imperial Star Destroyer Chimaera was cruising through a relatively calm system; he was off duty and the cute tech down in Systems and Information was totally checking him out earlier. He had more than a little swagger in his step as he strode down to the canteen.
“Mister!” A tiny voice called behind him. “Mister! Hi!”
He turned and nearly fainted. A little girl stood behind him, wearing a purple long-sleeved shirt and light pink overalls. A blue little girl.
Hunt had heard about the Grand Admiral’s daughter, but he’d never seen her. He didn’t even know her name or age; just that she existed and lived on the Chimaera along with her mother, Lady Millie d’Fleur of the Seventh Fleet. The toddler before him looked like a relatively normal girl, save for her azure skin and bright red irises. Her dark blue-black hair was tied in two pigtails, complete with pink bows. She skipped over to Junior Lieutenant Hunt and raised her little hands. “Up?”
“Oh, um…” This was the Grand Admiral’s child. Did that mean this little girl outranked him? He scratched the back of his head. The girl looked up at him expectantly, still holding her hands up to him.
She rocked onto her tiptoes. “Up? Please, Mister?”
Reluctantly, Hunt knelt down and picked her up. She giggled gleefully. “Thanks! I wanna see my Papa now!”
Oh, no. He swallowed hard. “Um. I think he’s working right now.”
The girl frowned. “I wanna see him, please! I miss him.” She pouted. “Please?”
Hunt’s nose twitched. If he took her back to her quarters, would she tell on him? Get him fired, or worse? But if he brought her to the bridge… “Your Papa will be upset.”
“Papa’ll be happy to see me! He always is!” The girl grinned. “Please, Mister?”
Hunt pursed his lips. The Chimaera was in a calm system, and who knew? Maybe if the Grand Admiral saw him being kind to this girl, he’d finally get promoted to Senior Lieutenant. Besides, he had three little sisters at home and he knew wasn’t going to win this. “...Fine.”
As he carried her to the bridge, the girl chatted with him. “My name’s Miffalasshafish. But you can call me Thalassa! Or Lassie! My mama calls me Lassie. I’m this many!” She held up three fingers and waved them near his face. “What’s your name?”
“Jax Hunt.”
“You have squares on your shirt. Whaddo they mean?”
“It means I’m a Junior Lieutenant.”
“Oh.” She nodded thoughtfully. “My Papa has lotsa pretty squares on his shirt. Sometimes he lets me play with his old squares.”
“His old squares?”
“Yeah! He keeps all of ‘em in his drawer. I like to play ships with them and my dolls!” Thalassa patted his insignia. “Do you play dolls?”
“I’m a little too old to play with dolls.”
She frowned. “My Papa plays dolls with me.”
“Well, that’s nice of him.”
Thalassa, bored of that topic, quickly switched to the next. “I like loff-cats. Do you like loff-cats?”
“Loff?–oh. Loth-cats. Um, they’re alright.” Hunt shrugged. “We didn’t have pets.”
“I have a stuffie loff-cat. Her name is Cup."
“Cup?”
“Cup!”
“... Okay.” This girl was as strange as her father.
They neared the bridge, and Hunt climbed the stairs. His shoulder ached; he was surprised that carrying a girl as tiny as Thalassa could get tiring so fast. As they neared the top of the stairs, he spotted the Grand Admiral, addressing his higher officers.
“Papa!” Thalassa squealed. “Set me down, Mister! Please!”
The Grand Admiral’s head turned at his daughter’s voice, and she toddled over, her pigtails bouncing as she extended her hands to her father. “Papa! Papa!”
Without stopping his orders, the Grand Admiral knelt and picked Thalassa up. He hoisted her up onto his hip and finished giving his orders before speaking to her. “What are you doing, en’kin’at?” he asked. There wasn’t an ounce of annoyance in his voice, like Hunt had been expecting. His face displayed a gentleness the Junior Lieutenant had never seen on anyone, much less a military man as intimidating as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
“Mama’s sleepin’ and I miss you,” Thalassa said. “I pushed a chair to the door. And press the button.”
The Chiss man’s lips twitched into a smile. “Very clever.” The officers around him stared at him in confusion as he spoke. “Your Mama is sleeping because they’re sick, en’kin’at. If they wake up and see that you’re gone, they’re going to be afraid for your safety.” The Grand Admiral spoke softly, lovingly.
“Oh. I’m sorry.”
The Grand Admiral hugged her a bit tighter. “You’ll need to apologize when you get back to our quarters. But for now… I suppose you can spend some time with me.” He glanced sideways at Hunt. The commander’s eyes were like a spotlight, freezing the Junior Lieutenant in place. “Is this the man who brought you?”
“Yeah! His name is Hutt!”
“I see. Did you say ‘thank you?’”
“Oh!” Thalassa waved to Hunt. “Thank you!”
The Grand Admiral keyed something into his comlink before speaking into it. "Millie, love, Thalassa is with me. I'll have her brought home shortly." He then strode over to his chair, setting Thalassa on his lap. She flapped her little hands excitedly. He eyed Hunt. "Junior Lieutenant, thank you for keeping her safe." There was a slight twinkle in his eye. "Who knows what trouble she could have gotten herself into?"
"Y-you're welcome, sir."
He nodded politely. "Remain on the bridge. If you would, when Thalassa is done here, take her back to my quarters."
"Yes, sir."
Thrawn then brought a console down in front of him, and began to explain how different things worked. The little girl watched in rapt amazement. "Can I touch it?"
"Not now, en'kin'at. Thank you for asking first." Thrawn kissed the top of her head. "Do you see that chart there? I'll tell you what it means, but remember, don't touch…"
Soon enough, Thalassa was falling asleep in her father's lap, and the Grand Admiral signaled for Hunt to come over. The Chiss kissed her forehead and gently handed her to the Junior Lieutenant. Thalassa stirred slightly, and the Grand Admiral stroked her cheek. "I'll be home soon, little one."
Hunt carried the sleepy little girl back to her father's quarters. He pressed the doorbell, and the Grand Admiral's wife instantly opened it. "Lassie!"
They took Thalassa in their arms. "You worried me. Please don't run off like that again." Much like the Grand Admiral, their voice was loving, albeit anxious and a bit exasperated.
"'M sorry, Mama."
Lady Millie sighed fondly, patting the top of her head. "I forgive you, Lassie. Next time you want to see your Papa, wake me up, okay? Now, let's get you laid down for a nap." They sniffled, and Hunt could see the exhaustion in their face. They glanced up at him. "Thank you, sir. I appreciate it."
"Can I see you again, Mr. Hutt?" Thalassa asked, yawning.
"...if your Papa allows it," he replied. "Good day, Little Lady."

Hey Millie!! Baby Bottles, Toy Rattles, High Chair, Car Seat, Cradle, Rocking Chair, Lullabies & Onesies for Lassie! :3
tysm Marco!! 💕
Baby Bottles: Did you and your F/O plan on starting a family?
Yes! I hc that Thr.awn has always wanted a child of his own, but his career got in the way. As for me, I've always wanted to be a mama. We knew before we got married that we'd want a baby, and after a couple years of being married, we had Lassie!
Toy Rattles: What are some potential baby names you and your F/O picked out? What name or names did you decide on?
Thr.awn wanted her to have a traditional Chiss name, so it was always gonna start with Mitth, her core name starting with Th-. I suggested Thania, Thaia, and Thalassa -- and Thr.awn instantly knew he wanted Thalassa. The -afis part of her name is in honor of Thr.awn's brother, Thrass, whose full name is Mitth'ras'safis. Lassie's full first name has the s moved to the middle part of her name (Mitth'alass'afis, as opposed to Mitth'alas'safis) to ensure she got the -sa part of the name in there.
High Chair: How do you and your F/O choose to decorate the nursery/child’s room before their arrival?
It was decorated in lots of bright yellows and sunflowers! She's our little ray of sunshine so it's only natural <3
Car Seat: Did a parental or platonic F/O set up a baby shower for you and your F/O? How did that go? Who came to celebrate?
We didn't really have a baby shower per se, but we did receive a lot of gifts from Thr.awn's closest allies, like Pryce. Karyn Faro, his second-in-command, also got us stuff, and Tarkin sent a card and a check to help out! And Eli snuck some baby toys from the Ascendancy onto a shipment to the Chimaera, so we got those!
Cradle: Who is more likely to spoil the child, you or your F/O?
Answered!!
Rocking Chair: Did you and your F/O select godparents? If so who are they?
They're Ar'alani and Eli! Ar'alani is Thr.awn's closest friend, and we're both super close to Eli -- he's like my older brother.
Lullabies: What kind of lullabies do you and your F/O sing?
I sing her little songs I learned in Wild Space, where I'm from, and Thr.awn sings her songs from his childhood in the Ascendancy. He does his best to teach her the words and help her with her Cheunh 🥺
Onesies: Who is your go-to baby sitter?
Probably Eli, if he's available -- but if not, I like to imagine that when we move to the Ascendancy again, Thr.awn reconnects with Thalias and she babysits :) and of course, Thr.awn's sister Borika is eager to babysit her niece!

cradle and bib for the new parent ask!
Thank you dear!! <3
Cradle: Who is more likely to spoil the child, you or your F/O?
We both spoil Lassie, but she absolutely has Thr.awn wrapped around her little finger. He spoils her rotten.
Bib: Is this your first child? If not, what do the other children think of their new sibling?
She's our first and only little one!
