Kat Alyst, the Storyteller Fairy (Custom Doll, May 2023)
At long last, I can share one of the most nerve wracking projects I've worked on in a while. Everyone, I'd like you to meet my persona doll, Kat Alyst. I have tried to create a doll to act as my avatar four times now, and every time that I tried to make her look like me, it either didn't look right or got way too uncomfortable. So I decided to switch gears and create a character that embodied all the things I love about my art, both with my dolls and illustrations. Vibrant colors, fun symbolism, a touch of whimsy and fantasy, and a lot of heart, that's what she's made of. And of course, she's a fairy, my favorite magical creature of all time! I know, everyone seems to think I'm a mermaid person, and don't get me wrong, I love them too, but like, -gestures at wings- I wanna fly. I hope you love her as much as I do. <3 So glad to finally have her done. There is so much euphoria in this, she feels like me on the inside.

Hello, I’m the one who made the dolls of your sun and moon. I’m working on Eclipse now,but I can’t tell if his skin is yellow or orange.
HELLO!
His lighter side is more orange, and his darker side is like...dark chocolate, I suppose haha

A while back I picked up this adorable plastic Fairy house playset at a thrift store. I didn't know what it was but I loved the aesthetic.
It looks like this:
(not my picture, but this is exactly the condition of the one I own.)
Cute, right?
I let the grandkids and nieflings play with it at Christmas. My Pixlings fit neatly inside.
So I went looking for the accessories for it on eBay.
It's Tinkerbell's Cottage by Jakks Pacific.
Y'all. I probably paid $6 for this thing, but it was originally an amazing playset with so many little parts! The furniture looks like a fairy made each item out of leaves, vibes, and human cast-offs. The pieces were all molded in bright colors but not painted, which is a shame because the detailing is outstanding.
I've got a door on the way, and these got here today.
I think I'm going to be painting details...

Haha got to go out a little while ago and take some super sweet pics of my girl Fleuretta out in the garden!
Fleur is one of my "Fairy-tale" girls, and she certainly fits the part, in her sheer gown embroidered with plants, flowers and leaves. She completely blends in with the beautiful foliage, haha! ;)
All my dolls are 100% unique and 100% handmade by me, and you can find Fleuretta, and other dolls (and more!) at my website

I can’t believe I forgot to share this photo of Sylva, it’s my favorite one! Summer’s a good time for this sweetheart to make a comeback though.

Now I’m not 100% certain on her character - but I believe this is the Moussa Yeloli doll, which is a doll line based off of a Chinese show about fairies and other mythical creatures (again, going off of very little internet knowledge).
Even with what little I know about her - holy crap is she beautiful. She has such interesting proportions for a ball pointed doll, but also since I believe she’s a fairy character, it makes sense. Her details are spectacular. I’m especially excited to try and make dresses for her.
Thank you again to @maleficentmrsofallevil for the dolls! I will sincerely cherish these forever. <3
