As a Dutch citizen I would like to clarify some news about Joost's disqualification from the finale of Eurovision

A lot of stories are still going around so I am here to set the record straight: Joost Klein was repeatedly filmed by a camera worker after it was agreed upon that would NOT happen. The worker in question kept filming him and ignored his request to stop multiple times.

Finally Joost made a threatening gesture. He did NOT touch the worker. The worker has decided to go to the authorities.

The EBU has decided to disqualify Joost because of this incident. The AVRO Tros. The Dutch broadcaster of Eurovision has tried to discuss the issue and mentioned several different solutions so Joost could still preform. They describe this punishment as extreme. But the decision was final.

Joost and the AVRO Tros are very sorry and saddened about the situation.

So to summarise:

1. Joost didn't hit anyone

2. The Israeli delegation was not involved.

3. Eurovision will still be broadcasted in the Netherlands.

4. The Netherlands will still vote.

I hope this has clarified the situation. Joost is innocent until proven guilty. Please show him your love and support.

I know I always say this, but this Eurovision truly was the hunger games.

first time watching Eurovision and this felt like the most rigged thing I have ever watched???

Y'all. I'm tired of seeing you all cry, ngl. I know, I know, I was one of you last year but that's because Käärijä's song genuinely had class to me and wasn't as boring as Loreen's, and it made me so mad to see her win. Now that I'm on the other side though - as in satisfied to see that Nemo won because ngl, their vocal range spoke for itself, that was fucking insane of them in an extremely good way - I can see why all the Sweden fans laughed at you all when you kept on crying about Käärijä not having been the winner. We get it! Marko got the majority of televotes, and I applaud him for that! But see it like this: Without the jury, Isr*hell would've won, so Marko would still have been second place, no matter what. If anything, the jury saved our asses this year by saying "Alright, we love Nemo the most so they will get our points".

Be glad about that. And be respectful for once, for fuck's sake.
