The song is not as fun as the dynamic bit makes it look. Marko Purišić (Baby Lasagna) tells a story of young Croatian people leaving the country to seek employment and better lives elsewhere, the anxiety that comes with such an experience and how it forces you to leave everything behind including 'yourself'.
Croatia could have been represented by another artist, as initially, Purišić was not supposed to take part in Dora 2024. He was chosen as a reserve act in case any other artist would have withdrawn from the contest. It happened indeed, and Baby Lasagna managed to get on top as fans' favourite and eventually won his ticket to sing his song in Malmö.
