history of my Anime/Manga Eras:

2000-2005 (proto-weeb era): introduced to Ghibli, immediately obsessed. Notable media from this time: Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle

2005-2006 (pre-weeb era), introduced to the concept of manga from an exhibit at the children's museum, sister got really into Drawing Manga for a while, i was envious of her drawing ability & tried to emulate. also read a few volumes my friend had borrowed. Iconic media from this time: Marmalade Boy, Tokyo Mew Mew

late 2007-early 2008 (early weeb era), started taking Japanese (to this day I must insist i did NOT take Japanese bc I like Anime it was the OTHER WAY AROUND which like idk if thats better but shrug emoji), started borrowing manga, mostly shoujo iirc, from middle school library (that had a shockingly good selection), only watched a few anime. Iconic media from this time: Kindaichi Case Files, Fruits Basket, Vampire Knight, CCS, Red River, Paradise Kiss, OHSHC

summer 2008-2012 (Weeb Golden Age), kicked off by an epiphany moment that holy shit Twilight is garbage, i can just stop trying to be cool and Popular, i'm ok with being a Nerd goddammit. watched more anime but still not that much. Got more into shounen series. Era of checking out the maximum limit of manga volumes from the public library and reading them all over the course of a week. Era of going to Lindsay's house after school to play Shitty Naruto Fighting Game. Generally kept my interest in it under wraps esp when around "popular"/normie peers. (memorable moment: driving past the convention center on Con Friday omw to a lacrosse game, teammates see cosplayers: 'lol wtf' me: *hiding face bc that's gonna be me tomorrow*)Iconic media: Fullmetal Alchemist, Code Geass, FLCL, Bleach, Tsubasa:Reservoir Chronicle/xxxHOLiC, Junji Ito's Uzumaki, Nana. First Sakura con attended, 2010. 2nd Sakura-con, spring 2013.

[summer 2013-early 2014 Dark Ages (superwholock era)]

spring 2014-2016 (Weeb Renaissance/Cringe Era: anime edition), part of my Fandom Tumblr era, got sick of other Fandoms and went Fuck It i'm an anime fan again! (cornell notes: interesting parallel to Spring 2008!). Sakura cons: 2014, 2015. Iconic media: SNK (lol), Free! (Lol), Yuri on Ice (ok), Tokyo Ghoul (ok), and uh does. dmmd count.

2017-Present (Integration Era): Sakura con 2017 just kinda a constant background part of my life now ig. Don't care if people know but im still not just wearing anime merch around. Not that i wouldnt but that shit's expensive lol. More into just reading Good Fuckin Manga these days. Discovered my secret to being able to read manga online (i hate reading on a laptop and phone screens are too tiny for some series): tablet! (first theorized by me and then proven right by virtue of commandeering family's old unused samsung tablet). Now maybe i can actually finish Dorohedoro... Attended Sakura Con in 2023! What's next? Iconic media of this era: Dorohedoro, Pluto, Berserk, Chainsaw Man, and...?

honestly g7 as grp and individually have won me over with their music style, even if i don't like full album ik there will be 3-4 songs which will be exactly what i like to listen to, all of the music they've released individually i've liked it so much. there is this song of youngjae's, titled "i'm all ears" i had no idea of its existence until it popped up in my spotify i'm so glad it did, it's been in my playlist ever since. there was also a time when i was obsessed with jackson's 'on the rocks' djdjdk.

aww <3 the live performance video of 1° has mark as thumbnail so for long time i used to associate this song with him jdjddk. i think the only j*pe thing i'd miss is got7 studio live sessions 🥺. it was the year they won first bb*as award so that gave them the exposure, and no i don't follow them anymore. mixed feelings abt them, very negative feelings abt f*ndom fjdjdjd. i do miss what it used to feel like liking them sometimes. at that time i never thought i'll willingly drop them from my interest (i've stanned zayn since 2012 first him as grp member then solo. sometimes thinking abt it gives me a whiplash hddjks it's been 9 years, really thought it would be same with them too but it didn't happen)

so housing... it’s fucked for this summer. it’s a lot of details but all that’s really necessary to know is that the building I’ve been living in is closed for summer term, and there are no solo living options for the summer term SO these were basically my options for summer

move out of where I live now, then back in to another dorm (where I would have to share a room with somebody, have no kitchen, and possibly no bathroom) a week later, stay there for a month or two, then have to move to CA for a month, THEN move back up to Oregon.

just move home for the summer entirely and come back for the fall term in late september/early october

emotionally? ya staying in OR would be preferred. but when I look at all the negative things that come with that; hella expensive, moving a ton, no privacy, etc etc? the cons super outweigh the pros. but staying in CA has a ton of cons too:

uh hi I grew up in a bad home and have hella trauma whenever I go to that house (sometimes more than others but generally I’m just uncomfortable)

living in the same house as my parents = no privacy, esp because you literally walk through my room to get to the makeshift nursery they made for my sisters kids, the garage, and the laundry room

the possibility of fighting with my parents. distance has worked WONDERS for us so living so close for THREE MONTHS??? that’s gonna be really hard

I don’t think they really understand that me living a generally sedentary, inactive life is actually the main source of why I’ve been able to stay out of the hospital for so long. just chilling all day and getting enough sleep is what my body needs, and the 5 years I’ve been able to go without hospital visits proves that.

food/gas/TAXES make things really expensive. like sure I wouldn’t have to pay rent, but good god CA is expensive.

I have a hard time relaxing there just in general. it’s not comfortable for me even if my parents are gone because they have shitty internet, no cell reception, and just... nothing is legit comfy except the bed and I can’t lay in bed for 3 months (esp w my parents walkin around judging me for it)

there are some pros tho

again, no rent. technically I wouldn’t pay rent if I stayed in OR, my parents would, but I don’t feel comfortable asking them for THAT much money omfg no way I already feel guilty that they give me anything

they have a pool and AC which I would have neither of in OR.

they tend to travel a lot in the summer and are gone a lot weekends, sometimes they go camping for a solid week. so I WOULD have the house to myself sometimes!

I do have like two friends in CA but like... they have lives so it’s not like we would hang out all the time

my sisters kid will most likely be getting a transplant this summer so being home to help with everything they need would be really nice. her husband is donating so he’ll be out of commission for a solid month, my mom is going to be taking care of her 1 y/o son, my dad will be working, and my sister will be at the hospital with her daughter. so I could help pick up any slack while I’m home. (if you know me irl this info isn’t public so shh)

I doubt this would happen but me staying home could POTENTIALLY help improve my relationship with my family. them seeing how I function on a daily basis as an adult for the first time since like 2012 would be really helpful FOR THEM in understanding me more... or it could make them hate me (which might sound far fetched but remember, they emotionally abused me even after I left) so like... idk....

SO YA. THAT’S WHERE MY HEAD IS AT. I only have to take 1 class this summer and I’m leaning towards an online class that goes from like 8/19-9/12 and is totally doable because like... holy shit I need a break so bad. idk what’s going on but I am SO burned out. and it’s only week 4. like I’m so fucked. if I try to take my summer class immediately after this term I’d be so fucked, I need a break. esp since I’ll (hopefully) be starting at the school of social work in the fall like... it’s going to be amazing and I’m so excited and I’m going to love it but it’s going to be HARD so I really need to hit the ground running. and if I have most of my summer to just chill then that’s really gonna help. okay cool long typing sesh over BYE

wild anon here again!! i want to ramble more about haula/granlund soooo.. i'll do it here if that's okay?? but like in my au mikael and teemu pulkkinen were together back in like 2010-2012, they played in rivalry teams in helsinki and stuff but rocked together at the world juniors together. then in 2012-13 season mikael left to play in america and they were young and thought they could do it but then in like 2014 it just died? they drifted apart and even though teemu played in usa too (1/?)

it just didn't work? when they were together and close all the time it worked even though teemu was a switch (80% dom maybe?) but when the distance was there mikael started getting kinda insecure and just couldn't handle it properly at all and it all blew up terribly. mikael just couldn't settle down after that and jumped around doms and that made everyone (esp mikko) really worried. then erik haula joined the team and mikko, being the team dad he is, noticed that mikael and erik would (2/?)

work pretty well?? so then like he went to erik and had a very serious talk with him abt mikael and got to know that haula didn't have a sub, and that he had been looking at mikael. so then when mikael came to mikko (bc they have almost like a father/son relationship) being v stressed he was like 'hey, you should try being with haula' and mikael and erik kinda start seeing each other and mikael stops seeking for random doms he finds at bars and everyone can see it's doing him good?? (3/?)

and mikael maybe was a bit shy about being a sub before but now he just would casually go to haula and sit on his lap in the locker room and everyone just is so happy for them. then in the start of 16/17 season teemu gets traded to minnesota and even though he played just a few games up it still affected mikael and he just got very strung up and stressed and he started getting a bit self conscious again and the team gets all worried and in the end erik confronts teemu about it bc (4/?)

he does know they were together but mikael hasn't talked a lot about bc obviously he still feels really bad about the break up. erik makes mikael and teemu talk it out, and that calms mikael down a lot, but he still has mikael kneeling a lot bc it's still v stressing for him. also at some point there is just a huge cuddle puddle in the locker room with mikael in the middle bc everyone wants to make mikael feel better. and then when they get up they find mikael asleep in the tight hold of (5/?)

erik while like five other people are petting his hair bc he likes that v much and he's just tired and it was calm. then when teemu is traded to arizona in march mikael gets better and he goes all 'sorry i was like that' and erik is like 'mikael it's okay that you didn't like him here but it helped you get over him a bit' and mikael just nods and erik hugs him v tightly to his chest and they just kinda fall back to their peaceful life and everyone just goes 'thank god it's over' (6/?)

bc mikael is almost like the team baby and everyone was really worried. and after that they start falling back to their normal routine but still before they play arizona mikael gets quite fidgety and stuff. also at some point erik offers mikael a collar and ofc mikael wants that bc erik is just so good for him. whoops this got really long (7/7)
