BEAR1BOSS SHARES NEW PROJECT BUBBLES
The torchbearer of ATL's eccentric internet rap sound, Bear1Boss has just released his new project Bubbles – his third release of 2024, along with a new video for "Unbearable". Arriving on the heels of February's SUPER BOSS!, which Pitchfork hailed as “a bass-heavy collage of Mario noises, trap beats, and whirling synths", and his joint co-publishing deal with Rick Rubin's American Songs and Pulse Music Group, Bubbles is a continuance of Bear1Boss' futuristic take on his city's Hip-Hop sound. A long-time standout in his native scene with deep ties to some of their most recognizable names like 2 Chainz, Mexikodro and Popstar Benny, Bear1Boss is known as much for his ferocious output as he is for his out-of-the-box creative approach – culminating in a unique fusion of “plugg” and colorful internet Rap music. Defined by animated, autotune-heavy vocals and maximalist production jam-packed with video-game sound effects and playful ad-libs, Bubbles boasts features from KEY! and Bermuda Yae as well as production from Popstar Benny, finding the flagship artist of the producer’s Popstar FM continuing to level up his signature high-energy style. Jeremy Biddle (born April 4, 1994) known professionally as Yung Bleu or Bleu is a rapper and singer. He is known for his 2020 single “You’re Mines Still”, which peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 after it was remixed by Canadian rapper Drake.
He was born and raised in Mobile. He started making music in 2013, releasing a string of mixtapes that had his name circulate throughout the Southern scene, and signed a deal with Columbia Records through Bad Azz Music Syndicate.
In 2017, he came back on the scene with the singles “Miss It” and “Ice on My Baby” from the mixtape Investments 4, which featured a guest appearance from YoungBoy Never Broke Again. In 2018, he released a remix for “Miss It” and for “Ice on My Baby”.
In 2020, he released the mixtape Inv 5 and the EP Bleu Vandross, which were his last releases under Columbia Records and Bad Azz Music. He signed a deal with Empire Distribution and a management deal with Dream Chasers Records. He released the EP Love Scars: The 5 Stages of Emotions, which included the single “You’re Mines Still”. A remix for “You’re Mines Still” was released through OVO Sound (2020). The remix peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100, which helped Love Scars: The 5 Stages of Emotions to enter the Billboard 200 chart.
In 2021, he released the singles “Thieves in Atlanta”, “Baddest”, and “Way More Close (Stuck in a Box)”. All three songs appeared on his debut album Moon Boy. The album features guest appearances from Drake, Gunna, Big Sean, Kehlani, Chris Brown, 2 Chainz, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Moneybagg Yo, H.E.R., and Kodak Black.
On September 16, 2022, he released “Love in the Way”, the lead single from his second studio album Tantra (2022). The album includes guest appearances by Fivio Foreign, Lucky Daye, Ty Dolla $ign, Ne-Yo, Zayn, Kelly Rowland, and Lil Wayne. BREAKING NEWS THIS WEEK
To start us off, Andre 3000 is releasing an album, which will be his first solo album, however it is NOT a rap album. Shocking, I know. This is going to be an experimental jazz flute album and will be called "New Blue Sun". Drake is also dropping a new EP called titled, "Scary Hours 3". I personally cannot wait to listen to this, as I just may be the biggest Drake fan you will meet! Expectations for this are very high and I have no doubt he will soar past them. Finally, we have Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz dropping their new collab album called "Welcome 2 Collegrove" which will feature the likes of 21 Savage, Usher and 50 Cent. Just when I thought 50 Cent was out of the industry forever, he comes right back in and I could not be more excited. Thats all folks, stay safe and stay tuned in!

In the first episode, Coast Contra broke it down on Red Bull Spiral. This week Red Bull Spiral is back with new and exciting artists, KenTheMan, Baby Tate, and Kalan.FrFr. It’s a fight to the finish as the performers come fully prepared to demonstrate what they are working with.

KenTheMan is a female emcee from Texas, credited as an artist who broke out in 2020. As Preview notes,

Red Bull Spiral Performer #2: Baby Tate
Baby Tate, who also comes in as one of the freestyle contenders on Red Bull Spiral, is another rising Female Emcee. Lyricism runs like blood through Baby Tate’s veins, as Tate is the offspring of Dionne Farris, a Grammy-nominated songwriter. However, it’s not just raw talent that undergirds Tate’s ambition. The Georgia native has taken the time to fine-tune her abilities. As Billboard notes, even in her earlier years,
“She explored classical music, experimented with sound independently, and sharpened her songwriting and production skills.”
Since those earlier years, her craft has continued to blossom. In 2021 Tate signed with a major record label. And one of her tremendous boasts is, as Billboard continues , her collaborative work with J. Cole on Dreamville’s "Revenge of the Dreamers III. Kalan brings his skill straight from California, his native soil. Like his compadres on the Red Bull stage Kalen, too, has been nurturing his gift for years, beginning earnestly in his teenage years. Kalen continued to pour into that passion throughout high school and college. In 2016, after graduating, Kalen released “Bandz” and “21”.

Kanye West's DONDA Album Anniversary
On June 30, 2020, West released the single, titled "Wash Us in the Blood", featuring fellow American rapper and singer Travis Scott, along with the music video, which serves as the lead single from his tenth studio album Donda, and draws similarities to the sound of his 2013 album Yeezus. However, in September 2020, West stated that he would not be releasing any further music until he is "done with [his] contract with Sony and Universal" in a Twitter rant about record company contracts, payments towards artists and musicians, and the topic of ownership of their masters. On October 16, he released the single "Nah Nah Nah." On October 29, a remix was previewed over Twitter, featuring American rappers DaBaby and 2 Chainz. The remix was released November 13. On December 25, 2020, exactly one year after the release of Jesus is Born, West's Sunday Service released a new EP entitled Emmanuel. The mini-album, executively produced by West, consists of 5 songs entirely in Latin based in the style of Gregorian chant. On that same date, Playboi Carti's Whole Lotta Red was released, with West serving as executive producer of the album and appearing on the track "Go2DaMoon."
On March 7, 2021, Cyhi the Prynce stated in an interview with VladTV that West had once again begun working on his upcoming album amid his divorce with Kim Kardashian. On July 17, Consequence posted a video of West in the studio with Tyler, the Creator on Instagram. The caption of the post suggested a late 2021 album release.
On July 19, 2021, American rapper Pusha T announced on Instagram that West would be holding a listening event for the album on July 22 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The following day Beats Electronics premiered a commercial during game six of the 2021 NBA Finals featuring athlete Sha'Carri Richardson, edited and scored by West using the track "No Child Left Behind". French producer Gesaffelstein later stated that he produced the song, which featured Cory Henry playing the organ. Immediately following the commercial's debut, Def Jam Recordings confirmed the album's July 23 release date and revealed that the listening event in Atlanta would be globally live-streamed on Apple Music. The album ultimately remained unreleased on that date.
Following the July 22 listening party at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, West had taken up temporary residence in one of the stadium's locker rooms, converting it in to a recording studio to finish the recording and mixing with Mike Dean. Videos and photos posted to social media also showed featured artists Playboi Carti and 2 Chainz recording vocals in the locker room a day before the listening party. A second listening party event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium took place on August 5, 2021, with West stating that the album would be released on the same day. However, this did not materialize. A month ago, Red Bull kicked off the newest hip-hop offering on its Red Bull 1520 platform, a space dedicated to lovers of hip-hop. In the first episode, Coast Contra broke it down on Red Bull Spiral. This week Red Bull Spiral is back with new and exciting artists, KenTheMan, Baby Tate, and Kalan.FrFr. It’s a fight to the finish as the performers come fully prepared to demonstrate what they are working with.

Red Bull Spiral is the latest outlet for hip-hop heads’ listening pleasure. Artists are flown out to Red Bull’s LA Studio and given the opportunity to show their ability to deliver rapid-fire freestyle. And there is no let-up and no breaks. It is just ready, action, go. And this time, Ken the Man, Baby Tate, and Kalen.FrFr is center stage.
Red Bull Spiral Performer #1: KenTheMan
KenTheMan is a female emcee from Texas, credited as an artist who broke out in 2020. As Preview notes,
“The release from her debut EP "4 da 304’s” upped her profile in a big way, soaring past 10 million streams on Spotify. "
KenTheMan is also known for her and Two Chainz collaborative work, “Rose Gold Stripper Pole.”

And just over a month ago, the up-and-comer earned quite an honor. She was chosen as one of nine emerging performers for the First on SoundCloud 2022 class. Positioning herself as one to watch, she comes to deliver a little something for the people on the most recent episode of Red Bull Spiral.
Red Bull Spiral Performer #2: Baby Tate
Baby Tate, who also comes in as one of the freestyle contenders on Red Bull Spiral, is another rising Female Emcee. Lyricism runs like blood through Baby Tate’s veins, as Tate is the offspring of Dionne Farris, a Grammy-nominated songwriter. However, it’s not just raw talent that undergirds Tate’s ambition. The Georgia native has taken the time to fine-tune her abilities. As Billboard notes, even in her earlier years,
“She explored classical music, experimented with sound independently, and sharpened her songwriting and production skills.”
Since those earlier years, her craft has continued to blossom. In 2021 Tate signed with a major record label. And one of her tremendous boasts is, as Billboard continues , her collaborative work with J. Cole on Dreamville’s "Revenge of the Dreamers III. Kalan brings his skill straight from California, his native soil. Like his compadres on the Red Bull stage Kalen, too, has been nurturing his gift for years, beginning earnestly in his teenage years. Kalen continued to pour into that passion throughout high school and college. In 2016, after graduating, Kalen released “Bandz” and “21”.

But it wasn’t until 2021 that he began solidifying his presence with the release of the project "Twofr 2." According to AllMusic, Roc Nation picked him up as an artist on its label that same year. 2021 was a massive year for Kalan as he also launched his breakout tour.
