ON THIS DAY IN MUSIC HISTORY
On this day in music history, we take a nostalgic journey revisiting noteworthy milestones that have shaped the musical landscape. In 1969, The Beatles released their iconic album "Abbey Road," forever imprinting their legacy on the industry. Fast forward to 1983, Michael Jackson's "Thriller" debuted, setting a Guinness World Record for best-selling album of all time. In 1991, Nirvana's "Nevermind" revolutionized the grunge scene, while in 1975, Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" soared to the top of the charts, leaving an indelible mark on rock history. Birthdays are celebrated too, with legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix being born in 1942. This day serves as a testament to the enduring power of music—a timeless journey where notes echo through the corridors of history, weaving a melodious tapestry that continues to resonate with each passing year. As always, STAY. TUNED. IN.

MY TOP 3 RELEASES THIS WEEK
If you know me, you know there's nothing i love more than hot new releases i play on repeat until someone has to stop me. Here are my top 3 releases this past week in order! At #3 we have "Crystal Strawberry" by Tory Lanez. Tory proves time and time again just why he is one of the best in the industry and this latest hit is indicative of just that. at #2 I have "Vocation" by Ozuna and David Guetta. The House music genre is slowly becoming my most played genres and I have ZERO complaints. Something about David Guetta just makes people want to get up and dance especially with this latest release of his. And Finally, Tate McRae's "Exes" tops of my list coming in at the #1 spot. Tate McRae is taking the internet by storm by becoming the most viral artist on Tik Tok this past month (and for good reason too). At the rate she is going, she will be the most popular artist of 2023, no doubt in my mind! Thanks for reading and as always, stay tuned in folks!

BREAKING NEWS THIS WEEK
To start us off, Andre 3000 is releasing an album, which will be his first solo album, however it is NOT a rap album. Shocking, I know. This is going to be an experimental jazz flute album and will be called "New Blue Sun". Drake is also dropping a new EP called titled, "Scary Hours 3". I personally cannot wait to listen to this, as I just may be the biggest Drake fan you will meet! Expectations for this are very high and I have no doubt he will soar past them. Finally, we have Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz dropping their new collab album called "Welcome 2 Collegrove" which will feature the likes of 21 Savage, Usher and 50 Cent. Just when I thought 50 Cent was out of the industry forever, he comes right back in and I could not be more excited. Thats all folks, stay safe and stay tuned in!

History in music on this day 11/19!
There is a LOT of history in music on this date and I'd be doing a disservice to you all by keeping it to myself so here it is. On this day in 1994, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers play "You Don't Know How it feels" and "Honeybee" on Saturday Night Live with Dave Grohl on the drums, who was considering joining the band full time! Such an iconic moment for the band on one of the largest stages on TV at the time. Next, in 1982 LED Zeppelin release their final studio album, "Coda", which was a collection of unused songs recorded before drummer John Bonham died in 1980. This release was very emotional for the band and their avid fans and will go down as one of my favorite albums of all time! Now for one of the more crazier events, in 2002, while greeting fans from a fifth-floor hotel balcony in Berlin, Michael Jackson SHOCKS onlookers by dangling his newborn son Prince Michael II over the side of the railing. One of the more jaw-dropping actions taken by the musician and changed a lot of opinions. That's all for now folks, tune in next time here on Gettuned in!

NEW COUNTRY MUSIC THIS PAST WEEK
Starting off with a bang, we have one of my all time favorites, Cody Johnson released a new hit single "Long Live Country music" featuring Ronnie Dunn. This song just makes me want to hit the open road with the windows down, belting out with all of my friends. Cody has yet to disappoint! Next, Conner Smith released "Smoky Mountains", which I have been playing on repeat. Although I'm not very familiar with the rest of his discography, he certainly has caught my attention and I will be sure to stay up to date with his future releases. Stay alert to look out for other new country coming out later this week and if not, I'll be sure to do it for you!

NEWS IN MUSIC THIS PAST MONTH YOU DIDN'T KNOW!
If you are a fan of the Puerto Rican rapper, Bad Bunny, this may not be all that surprising to you, however the industry seemed pleasantly shocked that Latin music brought in more than $600 million in the US in the first half of 2023! Next, Warner Music's CEO says AI will impact the music industry within the next year and Spotify's Daniel Ek even went on record saying he has no plans to completely ban AI-generated music on the platform. Finally, Paris Hilton has announced her plan to release an album next year, executive produced by Sia! Personally, I am very interested to see how it comes out with no idea what to expect. New Music Today
Hey guys!! This is the first post of my new blog "Get tuned in" where I am going to be keeping you guys updated about new music out, news in the music industry, and much more from every genre. Today I wanted to bring up a few songs released this week that I think are worth a good listening-to. The first new release I love is called "It Takes A Woman" by Chris Stapleton. I'm sure many of you are familiar with his most popular song "Tennessee Whiskey" and something about this new release is making me requestion my favorite song of his now. This song will make you think about that important woman in your life so be prepared. While staying on the country topic, I'm going to switch up the vibe and recommend Cody Johnson's latest release, "That's Texas". An upbeat melody, strong lyrics and an unreal guitar solo, this song will make you want to put the windows down and bang your head. That's all for now, stay safe and stay tuned in.
