little things (headcanons) i think some of the boys do with a twist! they get angstier as you go!

this one's kinda long, but sfw ~

david, when surrounded by lots of people, will beeline for angel. crowds/meetings/etc, it doesn't matter. he's going to them.

honey likes to wash guy's hair in the shower, even after he makes several dirty shower jokes, because he goes quiet and enjoys it a lot more than they know he'd admit when they touch his hair.

elliott, when sitting beside sunshine, will squeeze their hand every so often. he always gets a squeeze back. the two always giggle to themselves when this happens.

asher has a lot of scars on his hands, whether that's from reckless behaviour or whatever else. babe used to avoid touching them, not knowing if he'd like it or not, but once they unintentionally ran their finger over the uneven skin and found it pretty theraputic to do. he's noticed they've started doing this a lot now, and likes it a whole lot.

as much as his spouse continues to tell him he doesn't have to, james loves to get them flowers. doesn't matter the day, the current season, or the holiday- if he's home late or feels like it, he's getting flowers.

sam subtly checks that darlin has enough food to the last the week, every week, just in case. they've been doing better at making sure they have enough for themselves, and he trusts them well, but it's become habit at this point.

in public places, avior holds onto starlight's arm or hand, making sure he's touching them or able to see them. he doesn't want to lose them again.

blake doesn't enjoy looking at himself in the mirror unless bestie is also seen in the reflection.

every so often gavin finds himself tracing over freelancer's features again and again, not wanting to forget them. they let him do this as much as he wants, always noticing a forlorn expression on him when he does.

vega's expression would always soften when he looked at warden. they noticed it the closer it got to his end. sometimes, it almost looked like he wanted to cradle their face, but they don't know that for sure. they couldn't ask him now even if they wanted to.

little asher hc <3

asher, upon getting overexcited, tends to have the urge to grab babe and shake them. however, after some trial and error the first time (and babe getting so dizzy they fell over), asher instead encourages them to lay their full weight on him as a “grounding” method (he just likes it a lot. also good sensory stimulation). if they cannot do this he kinda just has the urge to run around until he’s exhausted (in which babe laughs every time. it’s like watching an excited dog).

i wish i didn't have to articulate my thoughts everytime i have them because wdym i can't just make a post saying 'i think a majority of the boys have long/mid-length hair' and leave it at that

gotta make it real complicated. jesus.

anyway. long hair redacted boys hcs

vincent runs his hand through his hair a lot more than he realises- usually as a nervous habit than anything. whenever lovely does it, he visibly relaxes.

darlin sometimes holds sam's face in their hands and his hair frames his face so nicely that they wish they could look at him like that forever.

huxley's hair getting in his face vs damien always telling him to tie it back (he ends up doing it himself- something huxley doesn't complain about)

blake pulling at his hair when he's especially stressed + those grey hairs that peek out at him when he looks at his reflection.

freelancer playing idly with gavin's hair when they're in bed, especially after doing something together. he's recently started to lean his head towards them sometimes as a silent ask for them to play it.

avior insisting that his hair is fine until starlight starts helping him manage it and keep it little less all over the place. he now sits in front of them sometimes and asks if they can make sure his hair looks okay.

asher constantly begging babe about using their new expensive shampoo (they're a 50/50 in saying either yes or no).

every so often i forget guy, like, writes

makes you wonder if he ever wrote anything about honey; if he ever wrote a cringy poem, or a longing letter he never gave them. makes you ponder on if he ever spent nights staring at a blank page, hands hovering over his keyboard as he struggled to focus on what he was trying to write for something unrelated, when all he could think about was them, and only them.

personally, i feel he’d never admit to it, but there’s certainly a page somewhere- whether it be physical or digital- of him trying to articulate how he felt about them early on with words that he’d struggle to utter in their direction in the first place.

can’t stop thinking about morgan so i guess here’s some slow burn things/headcanons for him and seer obscura

- morgan’s definitely given obscura a hug after something shitty happening relating to their sight, and it’s lingered just a little longer than either of them expected. not that either of them mind- in fact it’s all they think about afterward when alone.

- if morgan ever gives obscura little gifts or items that remind them of him they keep them in a little box that was originally not made for anything important. now they look into it fondly, and often.

- morgan’s probably gently tried to move past obscura by putting his hands on their waist and moving them to the side (maybe in his kitchen, or balcony) and they’ve thought about it a lot more than they did in the moment.

- making eye-contact and the vibe of the room changes a little. not uncomfortably, but for some reason one of them has to look away before something unsaid happens.

- obscura saying something to morgan and he laughs. and obscura only really remembering how lovely his laugh was in the moment, whilst morgan remembers how sweet it was to hear them say what they said.

- “i don’t feel too great. i’m sorry i called.“ “come over, please?” becoming routine, that eventually it turns into “can i come over?” “always.”

- morgan watching obscura do something and just thinking to himself how wonderful it is to be able to see them be themselves. totally just a platonic thought, until his face warms and he just keeps looking at them. how lovely their laugh is, how concentrated their face looks when they’re doing something slightly difficult, and how warm their smile is when they look over at him.

- obscura thinking about morgan to get to sleep, because surely that’s a normal thing to do with friends, and surely it’s just because he’s a calming presence.

- morgan holding obscura’s hand for emphasis when going on one of his tangents, and neither of them end up pulling their hands away long after.

- “i love every part of you,” he muses, “everything i’ve learnt has been a delight to know.” — obscura wants to share the same sentiment, although with burning cheeks and a meek look on their face, all they really stumble out to say is “i love…” with a long pause, before shaking their head. it doesn’t come out, but morgan doesn’t bother them over it. he just smiles.

and a bonus of:

- morgan cradling their face in his hands, having done so a few times before and seeing how it’s calmed them, but now their face is warm in his palms and they’re looking at him with curious eyes, and for some reason all he can think about is what it’d be like to kiss them like this.

i like to think if doc and hush ever became more domestic, doc would beg ask to wash hush’s hair

now i don’t know how clean ‘instrumental force’ keeps his hair, but i mean, surely it isn’t thriving.

doc, running the shower and convincing hush to get in the tub, having him remove his shirt or whatever else he’s fine with ridding of, soaking his hair with water and washing it.

when that they have him quiet, he looks pretty calm. peaceful, even. his head leans back into their hands and his body doesn’t look as tense as it might usually do. whenever doc moves their hand away for a few seconds he peeks his eye open, observing them to identify what they’re doing before they place their hand back.

he’s a little like a cat if they think about it.

afterwards, he comments on how nice the room smells suddenly, and doc informs him that that’s his hair. he asks, “really?” and they nod, smiling.

“will it always smell like this now?”

“not always. but for a good amount of time, yeah.”

he’s smiling. if anything, he’s just happy to have experienced such a thing with them.

doc doesn’t know how long they have left together before his purpose is fulfilled, but they’ll spend their time in little pleasantries with him nonetheless.

before any like official hush/doc kiss or confession, i HOPE we get some sort of revelation from hush that's like

even if doc "got in the way" of his purpose, he wouldn't hurt/kill them

they're a weird anomaly when it comes to his usual way of things. i mean seeing as we've seen his new-found guilt for killing you-know-who, he's slowly but surely comprehending the importance of people and how they have a definite purpose

i mean. imagine doc getting in the way of him, and he warns them, but they don't heed his warnings- even though they know what could happen- and he just hesitates

he hesitates because he's learnt so much about doc. he's tried so, so hard not to hurt them. and now they're getting in the way of the reason he exists.

with that, maybe he learns that his purpose for existing isn't what he thought it was at all anymore

freelancer having been the one in the 7/11 when them and gavin met.

pizza place worker honey who's constantly done with their job and yet doesn't do anything to change jobs.

anton being an earth elemental whilst my love is a technician. his partner's love for plants is stemmed more from his power than their own.

geordi being the one to be a little more flirty with cutie, whilst they're the more chaotically thought type. also, them hearing his unfiltered intial thoughts and getting delightfully shy/flustered about them.

socially horrific creature-like human! hush x surprisingly humanlike but out-of-this-world being! doc

bestie, who isn't too into blake after him leaving them, knowing he's going to die soon, whilst blake, who's been pining after them for ages and left for a while, notices them trying to be a little closer to him.

sam being a reckless type x darlin, knowing healing magic, ending up along with him in his ventures and healing the two of them (whilst sam somehow still ends up being the nagging sort).

vega taking on the "warden" role, even if he's still decently morally falted with warden, who's been wrongfully detained.
