I feel like this minor detail from the Shadybug and Claw Noir movie really doesn't get discussed:

Reformed!Shadybug: so glad you feel that way! I also wanted to express how sorry I am for almost unifying my miraculous with Claw Noir's to make a wish that would make me switch places with you so that I could steal your life!

i’m in TEARS after the ml paris special and i wasn’t gonna post on this acc but i actually have to now because it was so good.

first of all, hats off to the writing team for FINALLY FIGURING OUT HOW TO WRITE COMPLEX CHARACTERS! even more so REALISTIC CHARACTERS WITH DEPRESSION!!! the movie gave me hope with adrien’s personality change but this just absolutely took the cake. seeing claw noir physically break down over losing his mother was such a 👌👌👌 moment. likewise with shadybug losing it over the life she never knew she could’ve had. both VERY REALISTIC REACTIONS TO GRIEF/TRAUMA.

and beyond THAT, we peek under the smiley happy shiny pretty sunshine boi surface of our adrien. even since season 4, the writing has improved so much. the characters are well-formed, with reasons to why they are who they are, and are still being shaped into new people. like y’ALL, if you’d told me that marinette would turn into one of the most complex characters in the whole show, i would have laughed in your face and told you to suck eggs.

AND ARE WE GOING TO TALK ABOUT THE WHOLE “SUPREME” DEAL BECAUSE WE WERE ROBBED- THERE BETTER BE A SEQUEL OR A SPINOFF OR A CROSSOVER EPISODE BECAUSE I’M SO INVESTED IN THAT UNIVERSE NOW, WE NEED TO SEE MORE OF FATHER FIGURE BETTERFLY WITH HIS TWO NEW CHAOS CHILDREN BECAUSE YESSSSSSSSS

in conclusion, the ml paris special was AMAZING representation, the writers deserve a raise and a hug, and i will be the one sucking eggs. thank you.

Toxinelle being the true villain. Griffe Noire being her main nemesis. Hesperia being a support by sending out akumas. Every time Toxinelle attacks she fights Griffe head on, and pulls a dirty trick by creating one or more golems to attack him from the sides so she can steal his ring. Hesperia sends out an akuma and has a champion join the fight and counter act her golems directly. Griffe Noire saves the day, but Toxinelle's "Miraculous Toxinelle", while it replaces the damaged parts of their fight locations, also gives her the big escape that she needs and she constantly evades capture. Much to Griffe's annoyance.

Power Changes:

🐞: replaces the broken parts of streets and and buildings and such; heals her; sends her back home; allows her to create golems that do her bidding; wings; enhanced smell; super speed and strength; toxic "curse" (read as "breath") that incites obedience (think, Miss Heed from Villainous); varied, but usually abnormal good luck; standard lucky charm

🐈‍⬛️ : gets rid of all the rubble and damage of a fight; heals all bystanders by removing the injury, but not himself unless it's serious; drains his energy when he selfheals; shape-shifting; super speed and strength; curse breaking; cursed with abnormal bad luck (can share that bad luck with others (read enemies)); standard cat-like abilities and cataclysm

im thinking about prpr emodrinette and going insane. adrien has a crush on her. he probably doesn't even know her name yet. theyre both socially awkward and have to try to navigate a real friendship together. they were evil together. now they're good! what do they do now that they're good? well, they can hang out without the goal of stealing miraculous or wreaking havoc. they can play video games (why do they feel nervous when their hands brush as they exchange controllers?) they can help each other put on makeup (but they blush when their faces get too close.) emonette, whose emotional walls were built up so high from a lifetime of friendlessness and bullying, slowly learns to let those walls down for adrien. to let him in and see her, to know her, to be around her (enjoying her presence, wow) and possibly finds herself falling in love in the process. even if it's scary. and adrien, who has been nursing an aching loneliness since the death of his mother, finally has met a person he wants to live for. who he wants to better for. finally, a person who wants to spend time with him and isn't "too busy" for him. and they're each other's FIRST REAL FRIEND. they'll be best friends, probably. bc they Understand each other. they Know each other. and they have to be strong together because they know that being friends, being good, could land them in serious hot water with the supreme — but their friendship is more important than that. more powerful than that. and they wouldn't give that up for the world

omg the fact you listened to the song 🥺 I did not have Sophisticated thoughts honestly but!! I do love that I ended up taking the lyrics from it to title the emodrinette fic lol and I feel like the cadence of the song and the fic actually ended up going together really well?? like the end of the song really beautifully crescendos like the clouds really do open up to this flooding rainstorm and yeah. yeah. I definitely added it to a playlist I'm building for a Fic In My Head because 1) adrien is the type of emo to listen to "I will follow you into the dark" fr so dcfc fan established 2) the "I need you so much closer" would work BEAUTIFULLY for more emodrinette. like in the normal-verse, they're both actively working to establish that connection, but I think in the reverse! situation, it'd be this continual back and forth of steps. especially if they end up feeling like destroying all of paris might not be worth it if they can't save their classmate they've formed an unusual bond with
