So... Emesis Blue Spoilers, I think? I hadn't realized up until now but
.... I really think it was Ludwig
Ludwig shot him. Look at the black figure, look at THE GUN, then look at me in the eye and tell me it wasn't him who shot Soldier
Like... Previously I had no idea who this was. 10th class? No, can't be. Spy? Maybe? But he had already left the building, presumably, and why would he take off his gloves? His skin was later shown to be all scorched, so it can't be the lighting, and most importantly where is his undershirt?
So. That leaves Fritz as the only option. Perhaps there is another time loop? I mean, where would Ludwig have gotten those clothes from?? Unless he was wearing the turtleneck under his.... Undershirt....?
It would also partly explain why Soldier was absolutely terrified of him, but decided to not stop him at the funeral, and why he decided to help and give back the briefcase in the end. He could've known that Ludwig was hallucinating
AND HEAR ME OUT HERE FOR A SECOND
What if this is Medic respawning right before the Conahger Slaughterhouse goes down completely?? Maybe somehow respawning with different clothes? Looking pale, and absolutely messed up. Perhaps a sort of respawn error?
I don't know WHY he'd shoot Soldier.... Payback for letting Spy endanger him? Or perhaps Emesis Blue was making him hallucinate even after respawn?
Anyway, yeah, I'm just putting out my own little theory here

okay can i just.
the shining symbolism in emesis blue.
the shining is probably one of the most iconic psychological horrors in cinema history. the fucking. chefs kiss. i'll say more sophisticated things about this later but for now i just want side by sides
this. down to the jacket and tie.
the blood, noting this as a Place of Danger maybe not by itself, but because of the men who thought they had right to use it.
i don't even know what to say about this yet. gimme a minute.
the bathroom scene. a man who was dead from the start of the story meets a man who died.
i'll add more and probably make a commentary but i gotta gush rq

Goodnight.
I do want to say my piece knowing already some of you disagree, I read Fritz and Jeremy's relationship as a paternal one. I'm ready to get my ass handed to me by theorists but I like to think that Fritz was the one who operated on Jeremy after the respawn event, which sobered him and made him want to become a legitimate doctor.
Ever since he's felt responsible for him.
