ok lets get started

ok so starting off, something that i've been wondering since suletta tested out calibarn, why did lfrith have these layers but not calibarn? i'm guessing maybe that has something to do with calibarn having no filter or maybe the layers kept you at a lower permet score since elnora asks dr. cardo to raise the score and dr. cardo scolds her about it. like yea the scenes are supposed to be be parallels to each other but the way calibarn works when hooked up to someone is so different it seems

who'd have thought on first watch everything this little gremlin would get up to

the samaya sisters sure do love fucking spanking people wtf

honestly really love nyla and wendy. i'm so happy we got to see them one last time in episode 24

i know the actual earthian vs spacian subplot of the series bores some people, but i do wish they'd gone into it more than they did. like i remember when i first saw this shot and was wondering if they'd get more into class issues but they really didnt at all. i know expecting radical politics from a mainstream series is kind of setting yourself up for disappointment, but at the time it seemed promising

i wonder if the light novels or anything will ever go into elnora's past. she claims here that dr. cardo saved her life and that without her gund prosthetics she'd be dead and i've gotta wonder if maybe she wasn't lying about the mining accident she brings up in episode 2, or if she really was the daughter of mercurian miners

also worth noting that elnora's voice as she speaks to eri here uses the same loving tone of voice she uses with suletta over so many of their phone calls later on. i know a lot of people hate on prospera but its so hard for me to dislike her at all. she went through so much and lost basically everything.

has anyone ever caught this before? so nadim helped to get ochs earth to invest into the vanadis institute?

the birth of milfchar

there is absolutely nothing that can do this scene justice if you're not just watching it. the music, elnora's horrified look at realizing eri is the one to synchronize with the lfrith.

i've rewatched the prologue probably a handful of times over the last like half year or so and this scene just always gives me goosebumps lol

so back in early december or so, when i finally decided to check gwitch out, i watched the prologue while i was really fucking high and i cannot tell you how much this scene fucking wrecked me lmao

i reached image limit for this post but god i hope hearing people sing happy birthday just fucking haunts rajan for the rest of his life

man, i still remember watching the prologue for the first time and really just not knowing what i was getting myself into since i had never watched a gundam series before, but like even as a standalone watch, the prologue fuckin delivers

G Witch Ep 12 Thoughts

(Right, there's gonna be some foul language in this one, also MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR EP 12) What The Fuck Prospera, no seriously WHAT THE FUCK. "That Girl"!! "THAT GIRL"!!! I guess that's one way to reveal to the world how little you give a shit about the girl who wears your daughters face. Prospera is definitely the worst parent in this show, and that's saying something considering Mr. Delling "I'm gonna auction my daughter off to the best fighter" Rembran, and Mr. Vim "You lost too many battles, you're no longer my son" Jeturk are in this show. Talking of Vim, hands up who didnt see that one coming. Of all the parents who was in this show, he was never the one I expected to die first, and yet he does, glad that he's finally found his missing son, whom he loved but struggled to show it. Too caught up in status and politics to see what he was doing to his child.

And it killed him, once he realised what he lost. Killed by his own estranged son who through a lack of communication and time was forced to watch his father die by his own hand. Where this leaves Guel I dont know, perhaps he'll join with Shaddiq now, until he finds out what he's planning, and that he's ultimately responsible for the death of his father. Wouldnt that be something. Delling, the cold calculating businessman, who when it comes down to it, puts himself between an explosion and his daughter. All of the politicing, all of the lies and distance an attempt to protect his daughter, but then, just as the estrangement began to fade, it was torn away by others scheming. And now we come to the new enhanced witches, Sophie and Norea. They're fun, even if Sophie does have a slightly massive obsessive streak. I dont have much on them today, but I do want to touch on the idea that Sophie calls Suletta her 'big sister.' Now there are three things this could mean: - First, and most likely in my opinion, is that this is metaphorical, Suletta is Sophie's big sister in that she too pilots a gundam, and so they're all part of a big family of Witches, people persecuted and hated for the powers their suits posess. - Second, and a little less likely, although not by much, is that Suletta too is an enhanced person like Sophie and Norea, probably enhanced at the same facility they grew up in, and so Sophie feels a familial bond to her due to their shared origin. - Thirdly, and the completely batshit off the rails option, is that Suletta Mercury, is their full blood sister, who has been altered in much the same way EL4N and EL5N were, in order to give her the face and body of Ericht Samaya. Either way this is gonna be fun. Talking of Ericht, lets talk about the Aerial. Her new design is pretty interesting, even if it shares more similarities with the mobile suits of typically antagonistic forces than it does with a traditional Gundam now. That line about it 'not being designed for combat' solidifed my theory that the suits used in Asticassia are massively tuned down compared to actual combat use suits, so like, how powerful is the Aerial going to be when it gets tuned up. Finally, lets talk about Suletta Mercury. The Witch. The Cyber Newtype, the girl so conditioned to obey her mother that she'll straight up murder a guy and maintain her chill floppy exterior. I'm scared for her and Mio-Mio, I think this might be the action that sends them to opposite sides of the war, at least for now. Suletta goes from being terrified of killing, to happily doing it in a sentence from her mother. Suletta Mercury, what did Elnora do to you, what's Quiet Zero, and why can you casually enter Permet Six with no ill effects while others are almost dead at three. I cannot wait for April, this is gonna be such a long three months. Ah well, back to watching through Gundam-X I guess.

We wear remnants of Elnora in our hair (the one that was never ours): you with the headband and me with the hairclips. We're both a little sideways to what people would consider “normal”. You're kind, you're so kind, you were a tool for mom and I a tool for [redacted]— we want to help we just want to help the world's shit but we stay silly and kind and you were a rescuer before you were a duelist and I'm a people-saving vehicle first human never. I'm among the only constant things you've had in your life, an ever-present brother that you're gonna lose so soon. You're a pilot and I'm your mechanic. I love you. You're my little sister and I love you. I'm probably going to join the Children of the Coven when I die— our other siblings that you never knew of unlike me. You knew nothing and I knew too much. I don't want to talk about anything else in the series, although there's a lot to be said. And I'm certainly not going to say "I fucking told you!" I don't want to be right. I just want to go cry into my pillow because technically Eri is dead and we will never see this little, kind, wonderful girl with that beautiful name again. Prospera seems to have escaped from "Fullmetal Alchemist" with that shit in her sick head where "to get something, you have to give something of equal value in return." She's a fucking father who turned his little daughter and dog into a chimera. She doesn't give a shit about Suletta and she's not embarrassed to admit it out loud. She will gladly sacrifice her as well as Eri (your husband sacrificed himself to save her, you damned bitch). Little Ericht, who was only four years old, just wanted to live and enjoy life with her mom, whom she trusted. And she still trusts her, she still loves her and she's still a little kid otherwise still having some sort of consciousness she just wouldn't put up with this shit with Suletta and herself, but even now, "inside cold metal" she still loves her mom.

I just hope, no, I'm begging you not to give Prospera an arch redemption, (because she did what a parent shouldn't do under any circumstances, not for any dreams) she doesn't deserve a damn thing out of it. She's a sick person and should burn in hell.

Yes, I'm very emotional right now (although I shouldn't be, because we all guessed it anyway), but in my mentality, in my inner world, in my perception, it's like the gravest sin to betray the trust of someone so small and pure as a child. I hate parents like that. I just have cognitive dissonance in my brain because I can't relate the image of Elnora to this person. This is not the mother who desperately clung to her child when hell was raging around, nor is she the mother who let her husband go to his death, choosing life for her child. This is no longer her. Elnora died with Ericht.

ok so ive having some thoughts on wfm.

at the time of the show, the vanadis incident is said to have been 21 years ago, which means that if ericht samaya was 4 years old at the time of the incident, then she would be 25 by AS 122. meanwhile, suletta mercury is 17 years old by AS 122.

i'm going to go ahead and say this cannot be a simple continuity error, because how could you even make that error? if the point ever was for suletta to have been present at the incident, then they would have at least given a year during which she was alive at all, so i feel like we can discard that explanation that isn't very interesting in the first place.

from this i feel like we can put forward the idea that suletta and ericht are not the same person, with suletta possibly being a clone of ericht. people i believe have put forth the theory that ericht now Is the gundam aerial in a literal sense but i feel like that doesn't really seem in character for this series. what i'm thinking probably happened is that ericht died in testing the lfrith after vanadis, BUT... elnora somehow was able to use data from ericht's unique interactions with the GUND format (since she was the only pilot able to get a callback from layer 33) in order to actually fix the format and create the form of the aerial which we now see today, which doesn't need a specially-engineered pilot like the other gundams do.

in terms of the order i see these things happening in... i think ericht died, and then, while in mourning for her first daughter, elnora had(/created) suletta, and then later on, in the next 1-3 years, began to try to perfect lfrith, using that data from the tests with ericht. this led to the creation of aerial, and i feel like by this point due to all the stress from having survived vanadis and losing her husband and daughter and all that, elnora had kind of had that little psychological shift that makes her into the lady prospera we see in AS 122, and she figured "well i do still need a pilot for this, and i have a daughter right here, so, uh. Move Forward, Gain Two, am i right"

on another note, the distinction between ericht and suletta leads us to a gap in the timeline between cradle planet (during which suletta is 4 at the youngest) and vanadis. it's mentioned in cradle planet that elnora had arrived on mercury WITH suletta while trying to hide from... something, but this isn't said to be the vanadis incident specifically. so this would mean that mercury was not the first place that elnora fled to with ericht after vanadis. with this in mind, let's look to lfrith UR and THORN. from their descriptions on en.gundam.info, we see this:

oh shit! hold on, never mind. i just checked and the pre-production model is specifically the blue mass-produced version of the lfrith, which elnora did not have access to, so she couldn't have been the one to help develop UR and THORN. so i guess we don't really know exactly where elnora went with ericht after vanadis...

in the opening delling and prospera have been replaced with the earth girls what does it mean

um suletta's anxiety is so real 😭😭😭 someone on the writing team has tapped into my memories from the worst ~15 years of my life i don't need this!!!!!!

they made up!!!!!!! do people still say "squee"? when suletta tried to literally push miorine away and miorine immediately grabbed onto her i put my hands on my face. love wins

suletta really is stupid, like miorine would be that tired from chasing you in zero gravity...ok in fairness to suletta miorine did possibly have a head injury.

the recognition suletta felt when sophie got near YES NEWTYPE SHIT YES just like during the duel w/ shaddiq and his harem when one of them got weirded out

not a lot of bob this episode but he'll get his moment. still mad at him. he needs to apologize to miorine personally for treating her badly they better not let all that go

when prospera says to delling "call me elnora samaya if you want" seemed to me like not her revealing who she is to him but her reminding him that she Knows that he knows who she is, future eps will tell whether i'm right.

what's quiet zero. what is it. i want to know

how much brown hair dye does she go through

i think we'll get some big reveals re: the Mystery of Aerial if prospera pilots aerial which might happen soon, considering she gave the order to get aerial ready for activation. if the theory that prospera used to go to earth a lot to hang out with earthian political factions is true then she may have an in with the dawn of fold and might have known about the attack on plant quetta. so she wanted suletta to come to the hangar to be ready to pilot aerial, but miorine threw a wrench in this bit of manipulation by stopping suletta from getting to the hangar. prospera might have to do some piloting instead.

i wonder how much nika knew about the attack beforehand. i wonder if her "family" know she's there

i hope we're not leaving the school behind completely, i wanted it to be explored a little more. i wonder if any teachers or administrators at the school will be important later. that would make the school feel more like a real place and less like an ohtori academy type deal where no one goes to class and teachers don't exist

This takes place I would mid season two before middles takes a tumble off the second story

When they are all assholes and Kresse is in their head

For this to really make sense let's say you moved around the same time as Miguel and met hawk and Miguel at school

You had a lot of skeletons in the clostet from your old home

This is when you Miguel and hawk weren't exclusive

Muguel wanted to go out with Sam and hawk wanted to go out with moon

When a few of your old friends come to visit you over winter break

Miguel, hawk, aisha, and tory are all over at your place watching some lame Christmas movie to pass time by but it wasn't working

Then there's a knock on the door

That's when oliver kisses you

It's slow and sweet

And elijah is making himself at home in your neck

They just had a gut feeling

In the morning the four cobra kais went back to house and you and your last night lovers were still asleep

Elnora and Fluer were talking to tory and aisha telling them stories about you

Corina was in the living room with hawk and Miguel

"Upstairs sleeping with Oliver and elijah"- c

"They slept in her room?" -m

They knew it

They knew something was up with those too

They were about to ask coria more questions when the three of you woke up to join the party

Locking the door
