Can't play DA:O today as a family member will murder me if I do any Zev scenes while she's not here. And if I go anywhere I'm pretty sure I'll trigger him appearing. So time to speedrun DA:I and maybe try some other romance options ...

Never mind, it's Going Feral Over Cullen Rutherford hours again.

I put him in Alistair's outfit and the sheer POWER this man has about tripled. He looks so skinny without his patented big floofy lion mane though. I always thought the armour gave him a slightly hunchbacked look for no reason.

I flirted with everyone but felt guilty doing it HELP ME I WANT TO SEE OTHER ROMANCES BUT IT'S SO HARD WHEN HE'S RIGHT THERE.

Can I hear a little about your OCs? I tried to search about them in your blog but I found it kinda hard to find their lore, do you mind telling me a bit about them?

I don't mind at all! I've been extensively examining and reworking my OCs so I can get back into writing for them. Here's a list and short description for them!

These are the OCs currently in my canons for each series. Any others I come up with tend to be in alternate versions.

Dragon Age

Morgan Walker: Ser Morgan the Mysterious, Morgan is the Hero of Ferelden and slayer of the Archdemon. He is also from our world, having hopped through other worlds before landing in Thedas and anchoring there. He had a son with Morrigan before they amicably separated and Morgan fell for Cullen. Morgan is nurturing and compassionate, but also has a sarcastic side, and enjoys goofing around. - Faceclaim: Sebastian Stan

Freyr Surana: King-Consort Freyr is an elf-blooded mage from the Anderfels living in Kinloch Hold and escaped with Jowan. He fell in love with Alistair over the course of their journey and married him. Studious and diligent, Freyr is also deeply kind and loving, and his purity of heart helped keep the group's spirits up. - Faceclaim: Tom Busson

Cas Shepard: Cassander Shepard was once a powerful biotic and Commander of the Alliance Systems. However, at the end of the Reaper War, he and Morgan traveled to the Crucible and due to their powers, ended up crashing into Thedas. Snarky and cocky, but well-meaning at heart, Cas doesn't have it in him to be mean to anyone who doesn't deserve it. Eventually joins the Inquisition and falls for The Iron Bull - Faceclaim: Chris Evans

Havi Amell: A powerful mage from Kinloch Hold, Havi treats Freyr and Alistair like little brothers and cares for them deeply. He is protective and ruthless in the desire to keep them safe. He also quickly learns martial combat to supplement his skills. He is appointed Teyrn of Gwaren, though spends more time with Alistair and Freyr. - Faceclaim: Jorge Cobian

Mila Cooper: A librarian from our world, Mila is a pacifist and stellar potioneer. Her foreknowledge of events helped her to greatly assist the Kirkwall gang, though she was unable to stop Anders. She works as Varric's editor, and thus deals with all his businesses and secret informants. She is energetic and knowledgable, though can be indecisive. She fell in love with Fenris, and is pregnant by Inquisition. - Faceclaim: Britanny Snow

Cal Hawke: The Champion of Kirkwall, Cal is deeply protective of his family. Though he never wished to be a hero, he took on the mantle, and became Viscount for a brief while. He loves Varric, and is a gentle soul at heart, kind and honest. Though he can be pretty lazy and unmotivated. Does get along with his brother, Carver. - Faceclaim: Henry Cavill

Ava Hawke: Ava is a mage, just like her father, and is far more ruthless. She will do whatever she must to protect her family, and is a powerful blood mage. Despite this, she has fallen for Sebastian and become the Witch-Queen of Starkhaven, with the respect of the former Arishok. Desires the power to keep her siblings safe. - Faceclaim: Katie McGrath

Tash Adaar: A young Qunari child, Tash has been a mage from a young age, and is exceedingly powerful. Personable and cheery, though suffering from a deep-seated fear of abandonment, Tash becomes known as the Child of Andraste and then the Inquisitor, and uses this to his political advantage, proving to have a cunning beyond his years.

Vylandin Mithra: Vylandin hails from a mixed Avvar-Dalish clan in the Frostback Mountains, and is of immense stature, while also using his magic to bolster his physical capabilities. He comes to Haven and is appointed the Dalish Advisor to the Inquisition, and serves as liaison to other clans and non-Andrastian allies. He saves Josephine from attack, and the two ambassadors fall for each other from a place of mutual respect. Vylandin has a fondness for terrible jokes. - Faceclaim: Brock O'Hurn

Jack Theirin: The adopted son of Alistair and Freyr, Jack was born as the son of a royal guard. Upon his death, the two Kings adopted the young lad and made him their heir. They raised him as best they could, the lad having latent magical talent, and he became a princely young man of great moral fiber. He ran from home to help the Inquisition, becoming the personal honor guard of Tash. - Faceclaim: Luke Eisner

Gawain Trevelyan: In Ostwick, when the Mage-Templar war broke out, the residents of the Ostwick Circle refused to fight each other. The Ostwickers fought off bands of rebel mages and roving Templars alike, and soon Gawain Trevelyan, third son of a noble house, came to represent them. This group of Templars and mages coexisted and were invited to the Conclave as a prime example of peace. By a stroke of luck, they were late and missed the explosion. Finds himself romancing Blackwall. Gawain is an academic, but a powerful speaker and leader, and the Justinia Delegation, as they became known, is a powerful ally to the Inquisition. - Faceclaim: Jens de Fries.

Jesse Malkin: A shy and stoic individual, Jesse, in any universe, shines with his intelligence, which is often underestimated due to his physique and handsome appearance. - Faceclaim: Chris Hemsworth

Mordred Wiseman: Intelligent and slightly hedonistic, Mordred, in any universe he appears, is highly skilled with people and friendly, though he can be selfish as well. - Faceclaim: Charlie Gillespie

Xander Holbrook: Xander is the classic example of a knight, honorable and firm. Though he can also be pretty judgemental. In any universe he appears, he is protective, though slightly sarcastic and aggressive. - Faceclaim: Greg Rogstad

Mass Effect

Orion Shepard - The paragon of justice, Orion and his cousin Cassander shared the main bulk of credit for the triumph against the Reapers. Orion, the first human Spectre, became a symbol of truth and honor, and carefully promoted diplomacy wherever possible. Engaged in a poly relationship with Kadan and Garrus. - Faceclaim: Michael Yerger

Ellis Walker - Morgan's father, the two traveled forward in time to the Mass Effect universe, manifesting strange powers. Ellis had traveled between worlds before, but repressed those memories due to abuse from Morgan's mother. With a crippled self-esteem and high anxiety, Ellis did his best to keep his son safe, but nearing the end of the Reaper War, Ellis stayed with his new lover, Steve Cortez, and tragically had no idea what happened to his son Morgan. - Faceclaim: Misha Collins

5. Which one of them said “Don’t tell Mom and Dad!” and which one always did?

BRAN & ELLIS — Bran and Ellis have a 12 year age gap, so they didn't really have a tattletale relationship (especially because their mom died when Ellis was 3 and their dad faded away with her—to be honest, Bran kind of raised him). If anything, Ellis was running to tell on someone else to Bran. Of the two of them, though, he was the tattletale. MINAH & SIS — Minah was usually the one trying to talk her sister out of telling their parents when she broke the rules, but was also the one to complain when her sister did something. She's a few years older (I think I said 5 years?) and was very much used to being The Only Child before her little sister was born. VESPER & CO. — Vesper was the one pleading with the twins not to tell their parents (even when it was just minor things) and Roxie and Rosie were always the ones to tattle (no matter how minor the thing). It wasn't only Vesper—everyone got a fair share of the twins being sanctimonious little shits—but she got the worst of it. They were also the ones to tell their parents about Vesper's magic, so. Yeah.

10. How often they fight now and about what?

BRAN & ELLIS — Bran hasn't seen Ellis in nearly a decade, so technically they don't fight about anything. That said, right before the campaign ended, Bran learned that he'd gone sailing looking for her, and there absolutely would have been a fight about him being out on his own—she'd have been furious with him in the sort of way where she was half angry at herself and putting it on him (leaving him behind is the one thing in her life she most regrets, but she couldn't possibly have taken him with her). MINAH & SIS — Minah and her sister don't fight because they haven't seen or spoken to each other in years. VESPER & CO. — Vesper and Kit (eldest brother and current Bann Trevelyan) always got along easiest of everyone when they were kids, and these days when they fight it tends to be because they've forgotten that they're not still those kids—they've missed large chunks of each other's lives and there are some weird and complicated feelings in there that they still need to work through. Vesper and Helene rarely fight, and when they do it's about minor things (Helene took to the noble lady role the best out of all of them, whereas Vesper has limited patience for it, which tends to be the cause of any conflict they may run into). Roxie died at the Conclave so no fights there. Consequently, however, Rosie and Vesper have the worst fights—they have the most bad blood between them, and Roxie dying when Vesper stepped out of the ashes as the Herald of Andraste didn't help. They can't be in the same room without someone to run interference. Vesper and Jonah don't fight, but that's because Jonah doesn't fight with anyone—he's got non-confrontationalism down to a science. On the rare occasion where everyone is getting on Vesper's nerves, Jonah's the one person she can sit with no matter what. When she can get him away from his books enough for it, they have long (oddly productive) conversations about faith and obligation and history and whatnot. When you get them all together, Rosie tends to feel ganged-up on, which leads to Helene going out of her way to take her side/smooth things over, and Kit tries to remain impartial but he's also usually taking Vesper's side, and Jonah stays out of it, so y'know. Typical complicated sibling shit.

15. Which of their parents each is most like?

BRAN & ELLIS — They both take after their mother in their looks and their stubbornness and their tendency to yearn for adventure. Bran actually has a little more of their father's pragmatism, and Ellis is a little moodier. MINAH & SIS — In temperament, Minah takes after their dad—probably less so now, but particularly growing up, when she wanted to be just like him. Her sister definitely takes after their mom. VESPER & CO. — Most of the Trevelyan children take after their mother (Valerie Hirondelle), who was known to be shrewd and savvy and also distant at times. Jonah is most like her, having inherited her tendency to get lost in her own world when it comes to their shared love of history and also her poor constitution. The twins have more of their father's coldness, his devoutness, and his fear of the unknown. Vesper has her father's flashfire temper (same as Rosie—one of the reasons they get along so badly). Looks-wise, the twins, Jonah, and Vesper all inherited their father's red hair and Marcher complexion, whereas Kit and Helene have their mother's dark hair. They all have the same grey Trevelyan eyes.

“What?” she asks. As though she could fool anyone with such a question now. Least of all Avery.

“Your hand. The anchor. Let me look.”

“Dorian already—”

“I don’t give a damn about what Dorian’s done to it. He can mend a wound well enough in the thick of a fight, but he’s no healer. I am. Now let’s see it.”

No sooner does Ellinor stretch out her hand to her brother does Lyssa snatch it away, tugging her wrist so abruptly that Ellinor nearly falls over.

“No,” she whispers, and Ellinor struggles to no avail to pull her arm back.

Avery sighs. “You knew it was like this. I told you it was getting worse, I—”

“Ellie!”

She looks away, face turning red.

“Lyss—”

“Ellinor Aria T—” Lyssa stops herself. “Not even Trevelyan anymore.”

“What are you going on about?” Avery demands.

She supposes she should get used to her hand no longer being her own, she supposes, as Lyssa—still gripping her tight around the wrist—shoves it in Avery’s face.

“She’s been married!” she cries. “And she didn’t even tell us!”

Avery gapes at them both. “T-to Cullen?”

“Of course to Cullen!” Lyssa all but shrieks.

WIP Wednesday - TSTS Ch 17 - One and done

Oke I was gonna go on with focusing on something else for this chapter but then @musetta3 pointed out a massive missed opportunity so I'm doing that instead.

Welcome to Kirkwall, Lord Trevelyan!

Jonathan had to remind himself that they were fortunate to have found this tavern. Truly, the city was already overflowing with disgruntled sailors and passengers who have had to pull their ships ashore thanks to the heavy autumn storms. Every bit of space with a cover had already been taken. Save for this. How shocking, the thought creeped forward as he swept a look over the run down room. He smothered it. They were lucky, that’s what they were, even if the floors of this establishment were sticky enough for Jonathan to have to put in some effort to pull his boots free of them. Even if the language the patrons shouted at each other didn’t exactly sound like Common anymore. Even if the stares aimed at him and his armoured retinue made him squirm under his cloak. They were lucky to find shelter from the downpour, somewhere warm where the owner wouldn’t mind them dripping water all over the floor. They were helping, really.

The Hanged Man, Jonathan was sure, was the sort of place that wasn’t so bad once you got used to it. Maybe it could happen soon. A hot meal and some dry clothes would do wonders to help that.

He couldn’t just throw his bag open and change into something more comfortable just yet, however. Jonathan peeled off his dripping wet leather gloves and frowned in discomfort at the just-as-wet bandage underneath. He shot a look at the captain, who was heatedly but civilly discussing accommodation fees with the barkeep, who kept eyeing their soldiers and their various bandages with a wary look, as if they might break out into chaos any second now. Jonathan had a feeling he shouldn’t make himself too comfortable just yet.

They'd sent word to Harold of their arrival. If they were lucky enough, he could use up a favour and house them in the Templar barracks, at least for the night. Maybe.

They put together half a table and three chairs for their drinks. Soldiers shared seating, but they didn't seem to mind as they helped each other take off their armour - "least it rusts together into a one-piece", they laughed. Galbert, always the prepared type, had managed to sort himself a nice, cozy seat by the fire. Jonathan looked over with a spot of envy from his own cramped seat at the table.

The sound of a handful of coins hitting the wood jolted him alert. In front of him stood a dwarf, his golden hair shining as bright as the chain around his neck, his gaze avid and curious. He pulled up a chair as he shuffled forward with a hand resting confidently against the worn wood.

"Why don't we make this easier for everyone - if you sit somewhere else, the next few rounds are on me," he said to the people currently taking up the other half of the table. Clearly, it seemed to be an acceptable deal, for they quickly gathered up the pieces and went straight to the bar, allowing their party to take over.

Jonathan eyed the dwarf uncertainly, "Thank you, erm..."

"Varric Tethras, at your service," he intoned. Practiced. Definitely practiced.

Dun dun duuuuuun. I'm living for the conversations they'll have in Inquisition tbh :)))))

Cassandra: "Do you know where Hawke is"

Varric: "Ermmm..."

Cassandra: "This man, the prisoner, have you met him before"

Varric: "Errrrrrrmmmmmmm"

I caved and only had a couple of hours free today. I made Theo. Can't decide between stubble or no stubble.

Theodore Lewellyn Trevelyan, Eleanor's handsome older brother. Chaos walking with a penchant for mischief behind the scenes. In public, he is charming and personable, confident and commanding. Theo is almost a picture-perfect figurehead leader.

I tried real hard to make him look like Eleanor and I think I succeeded - they're meant to be alike enough that you know they're siblings but almost different sides of the same coin. Theo masculine and Ellie feminine versions of the same face. The main differences are in the lives they have led - despite being younger, Ellie looks older because she has lived a much harder life than her brother, who is a spoiled second son.

Hello, darlings - it is I, the Niamh behind this messy blog that once had a theme and now just amuses me and hopefully others.

alpha: Shieldsman of the Inquisitor

Aneirin Cadoc Trevelyan (‘Eerie’ if you’re Owain, Nye if you’re anyone else) Lord Trevelyan. Shieldsman to the Inquisitor. Eventual Red Jenny. Human noble.

Male. He/Him/His. Pansexual. 13 Justinian, 9:14 Dragon. Ostwick, Free Marches. Rogue; archer, artificer.

Eyes: Pale amber/champagne-colored. Hair: Black, medium-long, generally done in braids and tied back. Skin: Dark, reddish undertones. A bit weathered, and palms and fingers are calloused as all get out. Height: 6'2". Build: Tall, long-legged, lean and fit. Bendy. Very impressive arms and shoulders. Notable Details: Nose has been broken a few times, faint scar across the bridge. Long scar from the back of his jaw down to the middle/side of his chin on the left. Voice: British male Inquisitor’s voice.

Positive Traits: Calm, patient as hell, and good at handling stress; most people don’t even realize he is handling a stressful situation until after he’s already dealt with it, and he can put up with an astounding amount of bullshit before his patience starts to fray, so he steps in periodically when Owain’s diplomacy is failing. Willing to give second chances, as long as people prove they’re willing to improve; he won’t put up with endless shit, but he’ll also remove himself from a situation or person peaceably. Determined and generally able to see that determination through; he doesn’t want to be a ‘fair weather’ sort of person. Negative Traits: Frequently anxious and with a limited sense of self-esteem; he works under the assumption that his lot in life is never going to be great and assumes that asking for help means he’s failed. Good at socializing with people at arm’s length, but tends to dip once he realizes feelings are actually involved; defaults to assuming he’s more attached than the other party and wants to avoid being rejected. A perfectionist with regards to himself and what he does, which combines with his anxiety in not great ways; spends most of his time assuming that he’s doing something wrong and being judged for it, seems perpetually resigned to an unpleasant lot in life. Horrible at standing up for himself against people he likes; puts up with an outrageous amount of shit that by all rights he shouldn’t have to and lets Owain bully him without complaint. Has very limited self-preservation, since his lot in life is to be Owain’s meatshield. Relies on others to give himself purpose. Neutral Traits: Introvert; prefers socializing with just one or two people at a time. Good actor; can put on the nobleman mask when he needs to. Can ignore his own preferences for extended periods. Perpetually seems exhausted. Collects casual bed partners like Pokemon. Optimist vs. Pessimist: Pessimistic with regards to himself, more optimistic with regards to the rest of the world. Quirks: Reluctant to make promises if he has no definitive proof he can fulfill it. Sings or hums if he doesn’t think anyone is listening. Good at blending into the scenery. Practices archery when stressed; sometimes gets bad enough he can’t uncurl his fingers from his bow.

Religion: Atheist. Likes: Tinkering. Making new things, fixing things, being helpful/useful/productive. Music. Reading. Writing. Books in general. Pomegranates. Duck. Salmon. Really likes honey. Mead. Pomegranate wine. Dislikes: Being demeaned. Confrontation. People attempting to analyze his codependence on his brother. People who drone on and on and on. Favorite Colors: Tyrian purple. Hunter green. Alizarin crimson. Hobbies: Plays the harp and the lyre. Reads a lot. Writes a lot; journaling, snippets of poetry, random song verses. Reasonably good at leatherwork. Does consider archery to be a hobby, yes. Falconry. Works as a handyman around Skyhold.

Note: Remained wary of Cole, though more for ‘he reads minds’ reasons rather than ‘he’s a spirit’ reasons. If there's one thing Dragon Age Inquisition did right, it's that the rocks are very nice.
