16: Deepest darkest secret they won't even admit to themselves:

Hmmm there's the possibility of so many isn't there. Possibly that one of the main reasons he's never gone to ground is because he saw his tenure in the children of darkness as a living death. A limbo of sorts for his damaged spirit.

18: What they'd go to see a therapist about:

His whole life...Really. But to narrow it down so he didn't overwhelm the therapist or have to kill them for knowing too much about him- old habits and all. Perhaps his abandonment issues, and the permeating anger usually at himself - that can make him bristle and want to push others away. Couples therapy would be so beneficial to Marius and himself I feel. There's so much love there, they just need to admit what pisses the other off most to level out the dynamics.

Summary: Set during the IWTV-era, Armand is pressured to choose between the vampire he has long desired for nearly a hundred years, and the fledgling of that same vampire - alluring in his inquisitive nature and tenderness. Time is running out for Armand to make his choice, while Lestat, who is at his mercy, is being held in a cell in the bowels of the Theatre des Vampires - also desperate to salvage what he can of what he once had.

Name/Age/Location! My name is Eli Estela González, I'm 30 years old (OMG! I'm one of the oldsssss!) and I live in Mexico City. Favorite VC Book? Definitely Interview With the Vampire. I used to think that it was The Vampire Armand, but I read Interview again a while ago and God, it is a GOOD book. Favorite VC character? Armand. Totally.

What made you start drawing and sharing VC art? I didn't used to make much fanart, just sometimes with my friends I'd make some superhero stuff, but last year (2018) I decided that I didn't have to make only "serious" art, or art for clients, that I could (and should) draw whatever the hell I wanted and made me have fun, just for the fun of it. So, I started to really draw VC fanart, you know just for the lols and because I love these characters. Do you have a favorite scene (from the books or movies) to draw? Not really, I think I have favourite eras: the 80s is always a win, but even though I do not draw it, the 18th century really has a special place in my rococó heart. Also modern times. How would you describe your personal drawing style? Simple and comic-like. ?? I think. LOL. Do you listen to music while you draw? And if yes, what? I usually listen to a lot of classical music, and for focusing in something, my go-to music is the Goldberg Variations (the 1955 version, played by Glenn Gould). But lately I'm OBSESSED with the Diablero soundtrack and this specific song by Café Tacvba. Biggest artistic influences? I started making fashion illustration (thank you Fashion School!) and I have always liked the early 20th century aesthetics so Erté, Leyendecker, Dana Gibson and Léon Bakst, were some of my first influences. For contemporary illustration I love David Downton, Kevin Wada, Jordi Labanda, Judith van den Hoek, Sterling Hundley, Sam Spratt... Other influences: Julio Ruelas, Saturnino Herrán, Egon Schiele, Sandro Botticelli, Singer Sargent, Nicky Philipps, Toulouse-Lautrec, Greco, Thomas Gainsborough. Yeah, I'm totally into portraits XD How do you get inspiration? Do you re-read the books, or take suggestions/commissions from other fans? I usually listen to others, I don't think I've made art directly from the books (no reason, but I just have not). I love to take suggestions, especially when they are funny and jokes. I have a ton of posts saved with funny stuff, like incorrect quotes and stuff, that I plan to eventually draw. Something you’d like to learn/get better at like a skill or medium? I'd love to make landscapes! And I wanna try gouache again (my Schiele inspiration is strong lately XD). Favorite classical artist that gets name dropped in VC? Botticelli. I just love him and his big eyed boys. Fav VC era to draw? I think Queen of the Damned. But I love the contemporary stuff as well. What VC character would you want to hang out with the most? Daniel! He seems to be quite fun! Other fandoms you draw/any sideblogs we can promote? I don't make constant fanart of other fandoms, even though I make other stuff, from Spider-Man to The Song of the Cid, it's not really constant, but it's on my usual blog. I have another Tumblr of all things 18th century (@my18thcenturysource) totally not related to my art, it's just that I love the 18th century art, and fashion and stuff. Favorite part about the Dark Gift? Long long lives. Being able to get through centuries and be a living historic source, sound really cool.

Why do you think you connect to your muse?

ooc. I don’t really ‘connect to him’, I think. Not in the ‘he’s relatable’ way, because let’s be honest, he’s not. Or at least he shouldn’t be, what with the fanatic cult thing. But he’s from a time period I find fascinating. And he is the exact brand of character I go for every single time. He is super easy to roleplay because so much is never touched upon in his canon appearances and yet he is fleshed out enough to give you an idea of his character development. He’s generally just a fun, complex character to play. ...I’m love him.

(Personal Question, I guess) Miller, do you ever wish you have stayed mortal?

Part of me does, yeah.  I was awkward in myself when I still had a mortal heartbeat and that has just become an extremely more complicated bit of weirdness in the aftermath.  I’m sure there’s, like, an adjustment period for transition where it becomes easier over time?  Or maybe I’m gonna have issues with it for centuries like other people have.

It’s nice being able to fall down without having to worry about bruising.  Or if I go walking out on a crosswalk in New York I’m not nearly as afraid of what’ll happen if I get hit by a taxi.  And being able to fly is really cool.

At some point in time I’m supposed to become alluring and sensual and look like a supermodel.

@annabellioncourt tagged moi to do nine films! This was harder to do than I thought, editing them down. As an extra challenge, I didn’t let myself choose any that Annie did 😉. These are films/TV I love and love recommending to others, and if you like one or more of them, chances are we’ll get along ✨ In no particular order (other than wanting IWTV in the middle):

Only Lovers Left Alive - Tom Hiddleston is a Nicki/Louis hybrid, I love him, I love the dynamic between him and the other vampires, I kinda love how fragile these vampires are, and they have unique gifts. Very slice of life.

What We Do in the Shadows - also love the TV series, but if I had to choose?? IDK I NEED BOTH but only giving it one slot, so the original takes precedence, I love Vladislav. 

Jennifer’s Body - UNF I love this. I don’t love the official posters, but I really like this VHS fanwork by CratereanDesigns on Etsy.

Interview with the Vampire, of course. And I do not think it’s the Best Movie of All Time, it’s just one of my personal faves and a comfort food for me 💗

30 Days of Night - the delicious ANGST, ah my heart. I don’t love the poster, oh well. 

Good Omens - I didn’t read the book so if it’s unfaithful in any way, doesn’t bother me! I loved this series, psyched for season 2.

Better Call Saul - I know, not a film. I love it too much, and if GO is on here, then TV can be on here. 

And here I end with the impossible choice of favorite animated movie, and there are a LOT of them, but I have to choose one! What’s more important, beauty, story, music? Beauty and the Beast (1991) still holds up, after all these years. It might not be as technically proficient as Wall-E (another fave of mine) but it’s well acted, strong story, good soundtrack. I think what I love most is the bantering and courtship of Belle and the Beast, it’s so genuine and earned. IDK, call me a baby, I love it.

Well, I read a post in your blog about what a mess (and funny) would be the drive in QotD, and it got mixed in my mind with your original prompt, so I made a little comic about Louis and Daniel driving though Miami in Night Island 80s fighting for the control over the radio with a nice-happy feeling about it. Hope you like it!

I ALMOST FORGOT! I also made an accompanying little playlist with the music they listen while driving Armand's nice 1961 Ferrari 250GT SWB California Spyder.

I have no immediate plans to sew this thing.. but... maybe possibly someday. It would be great for Halloween parties!            

🔴 Red - Do you have a dream AU you haven’t written in yet?

I’m not sure about one particular large AU, exactly, but I do really like AUs. My big one was honestly pirate AU which is happening now and that makes me happy! Plus there’s coffee shop AU which I have with @thevampiremariusderomanus and it’s my stupid little brainchild and I love it also along with Hogwarts AU with @intervieweird so I honestly don’t think I’m missing anything in terms of AUs right now! I DO think that a role reversal AU could be interesting where, for example, Armand is the vampire and Marius is the mortal to start with, that kind of thing would be fun. I also like the idea of college AU, which I haven’t gotten around to looking into yet, but there are so many options.
