Brain wouldn't shut up until i drew Joey and Lauren as the iconic Malfina and Clark. Witchcraft SMP is very very fun :D

Artefactober Day 3: Axe of the Screamin' Void
"A legendary axe that never stops shredding."
Possibly the artefact that inspired me to start this whole challenge, because the OG sprite is lovely but the "Axe" aspect really fails to live up to the epicness of its name ^^;

Design ramblings, a question, and no bg version under the cut:
I'm VERY happy with how this one turned out!! I used Xisuma's actual guitar as a reference (Ibanez Universe UV70P-BK, shout-out to his website for having a handy instrument list), and then just strapped the biggest most unwieldy pair of massive RPG battleaxe blades to the sides and it looks just like I imagined aaaaaaaa... It is genuinely MASSIVE though, really pushing the limits of the 48x48 pixel canvas I'm using for all of these. Literally the longest straight lines in the axe blades hits two edges of the canvas, and the headstock hits the top,, yea it's a big boi :D
Also! I need people's opinions on this: do you guys prefer the version above, or this one here where the artefact looks more integrated into the image? Like so ↓
I'd still have the no-bg version down here so ppl can see the colours of the thing without a blendy blue gradient over the top, but I'd love to know if ppl have a preference or don't mind either way.

...Oughh 20 mins to midnight again, it's been done for a few hours but I got distracted by Tumblr and Cub streams and now GIGS phasmo... There's always something going on 🫠

Artefactober Day 4: Multi-Grain Waffle
"Often misspelled. Never duplicated."
Not much to say about this one other than uuuh waffles are awffle to pixel art, even when making it easier for myself by going with a familiar rectangular shape rather than the circular USAlien version... The syrup was fun though! I intended for it to look like Grian's hair shape, not sure how successful I was but it's recognizable as syrup at least ^^;

Everybody needs good neighbours ~♪
Happy halloween, @aliteral-ghost! I've been meaning to properly draw False for a while now, and finally got a chance to do so for your @mcyt-halloween gift!
...Not quite sure what level of spooky this is though. Maybe a 2? Blood on the Clocktower is intrinsically pretty spooky and the game False played was extremely fun, so I wanted to try designing a haunted-looking False in full fortuneteller garb.
Fun fact: below all those opacity layers and blue filters, False's outfit is mostly coppery bluegreens and browns in honour of her Empires look, with the dark green cape matching her hermit skin's jacket.

Artefactober Day 5: Shades of the Dog.
"Eye protection worthy of a king."
I wanted dark shades like the OG artefact art, Rentheking deserves some bling, and distinguishing the shapes of cat ears and pointy dog ears is an eternal challenge... and that's how we end up with these deluxe RGB gamer headset egirl cateye dogear glasses ^^;
Honestly if this is what the King forced his Knights of the Square Table to wear I can see why Joe's skin still features them to this day. Howdy n'yall :3

Vocalsynth doodle page!! I haven’t doodlepaged in ages!!! ^^
Started off with No plan, Song of Eared Robot came up on the playlist so i drew Tetobot, then i just kept going w the singing robots bc they’re the miracle cure for my artblock apparently. Only stopped bc while drawing Po-Uta I made the “mistake” of listening to his demo song and after that I was too busy sobbing /pos to pick a new synth :’D
If the colour saturation is Way Too Much on any of these uuh blame my computer screen, as always it tells naught but lies but I’m too tired to doublecheck on my phone x). Also i might go back n shade some of these properly, so if i do i’ll tweak the saturation while I’m at it ^^;

Heehee hoohoohoo the sillay the child the creatura the Otomachi Una. Wanted to see if i could doodle her delightful deviantart OC-lookin design off by heart and I think i mostly got it right? The only major thing i forgot were the horns on her hat, & she felt so wrong once i noticed that i had to add them ^^; I love her somuch :D
Ogh dingus fcuk it’s 1:30 a.m uuuh whoops i go zzz now. The art creativity juices are there, mainly i don’t drawn bc I just take so LONG to get Literally Anything Finished, even a doodlepage like this takes me 7+ hours so i just. don’t sit down & draw if i know it’s gonna eat up my entire day lol. hi if you actually do draw Princess Bride joe cleo and bdubs I would love to be tagged, that is my favourite movie and Fezzik Cleo is a god tier concept I love it
This has been sitting in my inbox for a couple weeks & its constant presence gave me the motivation to sit down and draw now that I have access to my tablet again! :D I have plans to maaaaybe do a mini animatic so i can start to learn using flipaclip & you will certainly be tagged in that, but in the meantime... Here's some Hermit Bride """Villain Squad""" messy post-midnight doodles while I try to work these designs out!
Closeups of the smaller doodles (I did a LOT of resizing & moving stuff around the canvas so things went pixelated & blurry & I’m too tired to clean it up, so closeups it is lol)
Next on the doodle list is the main pair of the story-- as soon as I'm done trying to decide whether Hypno (pirate aesthetic) or Pearl (australian for maxium resistance to iocane powder) would be funnier as Westley. Buttercup, of course, is the one and only xBcrafted. Who could play a better Princess than him?

Woe (Hills), Snoe Snills doodles be upon ye
They've got rubber boots & muddy jeans from working in the spawn community garden and occasionally having a nibble on the produce. Also I couldn't figure out a way to incorporate the cateye glasses but they're there in spirit (just like Joe's in-game skin then lol)
The process leading to this was something like... tired in class → doodling spirals to stay awake → doodling @ signs → doodling snails → the braincell wakes up for two seconds and produces "what if Joe Hills but snail", after which the prototype was born:

SO. I did not in fact have enough time or quietness (or a good setup or general knowledge of how Audacity functions) to do more than mumble into my mic while the original song's instrumental plays at a lower volume, but I swear I CAN play this on the guitar. Definitely. No matter how much of a bastard the B7 chord is ^^;
